Headcanon that when Jotaro and his wife were trying to have a baby, he'd been training for it so his knee-jerk response would be "hi pregnant, I'm dad." But then when he actually got the news, he couldn't contain himself so he was running laps around the house (inside and outside the house) and his wife was on the couch laughing so hard at Jotaro's dramatic excitement that she couldn't stand up.

now that i see it again in the anime (i have only read stone ocean once), it's pretty clear to me why jotaro pulled jolyne away from anasui when anasui was asking permission to marry her... like, anasui admitted himself that he knows jolyne doesn't want to marry him, & he's still trying to do it?? hell i'd pull my daughter away from him too lol

Big Sad concept: Jotaro thinking about how having a Stand (& the responsibilities & dangers that come with it) is what forced him to distance himself from his daughter & his wife, essentially ruining their lives & leaving them confused & helpless as to why he basically abandoned them.

So Jotaro starts taking it out on Star Platinum and throwing useless punches into his chest, wanting to scream "go away!! go away!!" but all Star Platinum can do is just kinda... hug Jotaro and let him sob on him.
