“This unreleased track was one of many pieces considered to play during the opening title sequence of "Frozen". It's a rearrangement of the song "Frozen Heart" by Bobby & Kristen Lopez.” - Christophe Beck
It’s Analysis Friday! Here’s some hidden symbolism via music in Frozen!
Do you remember the majestic voice calling out to Elsa in Frozen II? It is called kulning, a Scandinavian form of singing used as a herding call, or for fun.
Able to bounce off mountains and travel far distances, shepherdesses (and a few shepherds) used this technique to call their livestock home, communicate with other shepherdesses, and locate lost animals.
But the craziest, coolest part? Many kulning songs were passed down by the family, or by previous shepherdesses. These special songs also often contained names of animals under their care.
The song we hear throughout the film is in every way kulning: it summons Elsa, who comes to the call; it carries far distances, of which have even been sealed off to the world; and it is passed down from mother to nature to daughter.
Kulning is an ancient singing technique to call cattle in from the pastures that uses the natural acoustics of the landscape and the voice to create a sound that is both ethereal and powerful.

Okay, so i saw lots of troll oc! All of them are wholesome and some even combined different types of music in it. Even my oc having it!
But i don't see you guys making a new kind of trolls or just random creatures!
Like here, let me start some ideas that i do have: Dragon trolls. Their music is kulning. (Recommend listen to Alexia Evellyn on YouTube for example) They can float a bit and their village always gives a very clam and relaxing vibes. They really would like to see you around for some tea!
It's a very rough sketch, sorry. I'll try to upgrade this or made an oc's as example. Also be free to use that idea! And if you can, tag me in there so i can see your wonderful artworks!
I started! Now your turn guys! Bring on all your imagination! Make a new race! >:D (and tag me in your new races if you can!)
lira using kulning methods to call her pack back to her whenever they’re separated. for those of you with muses that have established territories she’ll use it as a friendly way of letting them know she’s in the area.
