I’m happy you like my Kuroo headcanons! I have a lot of ships I love with him, but currently I think kuroken is my favourite. I also like kurotsuki and bokuroo! In most ships I think he’d be the one that would be a pillar, letting his s/o lean on him and giving them reassurance.

I like to think that Kenma knows Kuroo’s vulnerabilities and details the most, and would be the few people Kuroo can truly be himself around. I like the thought of Kuroo being the most honest with him, and allowing himself to show weakness because he knows Kenma won’t ever judge him. And because they’ve been with each other so long, just seeing Kenma will make him feel a little better. They would do really silly things together and their closeness and bodily contact would be really natural.

kurotsuki would take a while to become close, because Tsukishima can initially seem closed off, but I think Kuroo being easy to talk to and down to earth would make Tsukki more comfortable around him. Of course, Tsukki would sometimes find him annoying and Kuroo would find him difficult to please, but they love each other while knowing their differences. It would take them a while to feel like they’re in an established relationship because of the distance and Kuroo going to college 2 years before him, but they would be really close as adults.

I like bokuroo because it’s the rare ship that has Kuroo as the less extroverted one, and I imagine they would both have a lot of fun living together. I can definitely see them having kids together, and they would be amazing parents. Bokuto is reliable when Kuroo is stressed, and Kuroo is the careful planner of the two, and able to keep a cool head. I also just really like two beefy himbos (if Kuroo counts as one) being dumb men in love and freezing jeans in the snow because “it’d be funny”.

ivy, i just want to say i LOVE being gross! it has everything - fluff, angst, humor. it's so wonderful!!!! i reread it whenever i have had a long day and it just makes everything better. thank you very much for writing and sharing the story with us. can you share some of your kurotsuki headcanons?

Being Gross 

Kuroo’s insomnia has gotten more manageable but whenever he has trouble sleeping he’s that dork that stares at Tsukki sleep. Sometimes he focuses on Tsukki’s breathing to lull himself into sleeping. 

Tsukki’s moms love Kuroo. Like a lot. Sabine kind of jokes around with him but after she hears him call her “the cool mom” she plays favorites all the time. Tsukki and Akiteru notice and whine about it all the time, especially since Tsukki was Sabine’s favorite before.  

Tsukki’s other mom (whose name I can’t remember right now because it’s not like I’m the author and I’m supposed to know these things) loves baking and uses Kuroo as her guinea pig to get a feel for his palate when he first comes around. After she knows what he might like, she sends something for him every time they send Tsukki something. 

Akiteru was worried about Kuroo at first but then he overheard one of their dumb arguments and was like ‘ah this kid is a nerd too.’ 

Kuroo is super protective when it comes to his friends/family but he doesn’t like getting physical with people unless absolutely necessary. He feels like gets too worked up and doesn’t want to do something he hasn’t thought through or that he might regret. 

I mentioned Tsukki having anxiety before and it while it doesn’t come up as often he has a habit of getting too much in his own head when something new pops up. Kuroo helps him by laying out every scenario that might happen from the dumbest, most impossible thing, to events that might really happen. It always ends with something silly enough to stop Tsukki from overthinking it. 

Tsukki got called The Clever Blocker a lot in his third year and Kuroo hadn’t really heard of it until a junior from a rival school joined the team and made a whole “Oh shit, it’s The Clever Blocker” scene. Endless teasing ensues. 

Hinata’s first kiss was Tsukki, along with other things *wiggles eyebrows*. Kuroo hears and gets super jealous that neither of them was each other’s first kiss because he is a child. Tsukki tells him as much in as many words. 

Tsukki and Kenma get along really well. Kuroo pretends to be butthurt over “I don’t know if my boyfriend stole my best friend or if my best friend stole my boyfriend” but he loves that they get along and that they have a friendship completely separate from their respective relationships with him. 

On the other side, Kuroo and Bokuto are really touchy-feely kind of friends and Tsukki is also one-hundred percent on board because if they get cuddly they’re not destroying the town and his eardrums. 

Tsukki also loves his hugs and if I had my way my OT4 would live forever and you’d have Tsukki being cold and using Bokuto as a blanket. Akaashi is at peace with the universe so he’s always the perfect temp, but he enjoys watching them cuddle. Yes, I snuck a bakt hc here because I love them and someday I’ll write the BG AU AU where they all get together. If u want ot4 hc please hit me up because I’m dying here

Tsukki gets his ears pierced after a while because he likes Kuroo’s so much and Kuroo dies because they’re super cute. He wears small golden studs like these ones. Kuroo eventually gets him moon shaped ones because that what he does. Then he gets him a set with a cat and a baguette because that’s what he does. 

I already wrote this in so you’ll see it but Kageyama goes to Kuroo for help with ****** *** *** ********* because Hinata gets Tsukki, so he gets Kuroo. He tells Kuroo all of it is confidential so he can’t say anything. Kuroo stares at Tsukki like ‘these are from your side of the family’ and suffers in loud obnoxious silence with a lot of dramatic sighing. 

Kuroo wants to get along with Tanaka and much as he wants to get along with Akiteru because Tanaka is basically another older brother at this point. He also does anything to be on Saeko’s good side because everyone knows Saeko is Tsukki’s favorite. 

Regular hc 

Tsukki is a hoodie stealer. It’s sad because he’s super tall so whenever he got with someone the hoodie would be too small to steal. After he gets with Kuroo he can finally steal all the hoodies he wants.

Since they’re long distance the whole hoodie stealing evolves to hoodie swapping, and they exchange hoodies everytime they meet again. 

They’re the champions of people watching. The go sit for hours and make stories up about people passing by, mocking weird hairdos ( Tsukki tells Kuroo he’s in no position to judge because just what is that thing on his head) and weird fashion statements. 

Everyone assumed Tsukki would hate physical touch and affection so they never approached him but then Kuroo comes in and it’s the festival of clingy and affectionate Tsukki. Mostly in private because he’s still not used to it, but once they are over that awkward ‘what are my feelings phase’ he’s blunt and affectionate. 

They have fun jabbing at each other. They don’t really notice that they’re doing it until they see how other people are looking at them because they think they’re serious. They also make stupid bets all the time. 

“Bet you a single buck and the ability to go straight to hell that I can beat you to the stairwell.” 

“A dime and three week’s worth of dishes duty that the butler did it.” 

Kuroo bottoms a lot. This is Bottom Kuroo zone. If you haven’t seen any of it may I suggest One, and Two, samples of it.

naruto au - kurotsuki

ayyyee i actually did a short fic about this here so this is gonna be just hcs from that verse. (bokuaka version)

tsukishima is a newly recruited konoha (b-rank) chuunin in anbu. he’s under captain sawamura’s squad and has the nightingale as his mask. his chakra natures are earth and water and later he develops yin as well. he specializes in long range combat. his taijutsu skills leaves much to be desired and he’s average at ninjutsu but has a hell of a talent for genjutsu due to his kekkei genkai (see: kurama clan bloodline, naruto). however, tsukishima tries not to use his bloodline so much because of what happened to his brother. tsukishima also has an innate talent for decoding ciphers so he’s currently a regular at the intelligence department.

kuroo is the favored apprentice of kazekage nekomata. his parents were former students of the kazekage as well and when they died in a war and left a child kuroo behind, nekomata took him in under his care. he’s an a-rank jounin and an anbu captain and is a favorite candidate to replace the kazekage when he retires. his chakra natures are fire, wind, earth, and uses boil and lava release which he learned from nekomata. he’s an overall well rounded shinobi with all a-class (and some s-class) marks across the skills board. (see linked fic above for more ref on kuroo’s skills and background).

kuroo took a liking to tsukishima ever since their first meeting where tsukishima held a kunai at his throat (see linked fic above for more ref) and has then pestered nekomata to always send him whenever there’s something to be sent or to be done in konoha. he especially pestered the kazekage to send him to the ninja exchange training program and he made sure to be put in the same squad as tsuksihima. for tsukishima’s part, he’s a little miffed by kuroo’s presence if only because he’s overbearing and annoying but for the most part kuroo is kind of okay in his books because he’s learning a lot from the anbu captain. 

outside of training, kuroo likes to visit tsukishima at the intelligence department. he always stops by for lunch and tsukishima’s colleagues had taken an interest at the anbu captain but this changed when kuroo just constantly drops by strictly for tsukishima. now, his colleagues teases him relentlessly about kuroo. “well, i wouldn’t have to drop by everyday if you would just remember to eat lunch.” “who says i don’t eat lunch?” “oh, i don’t know. the fact that every time i drop by you always seem to be the only one left working while the other take their breaks.” “i have a different break time.” “not according to my sources.” “are you seriously spying on me like a creep kuroo-san?” “no! i just happen to hear people talking that’s all! i’m not a creep!” “i could have you tried for espionage, you creep.” “i’m not a spy! and i’m not a creep either!” “uh-huh. sure you aren’t, you creep.” “tsukki!”

for some reason that continues to elude tsukishima, it seems anbu captain kuroo of suna has taken a liking to him. he knows this because even after the ninja exchange training program ended, the man kept making the trips to konoha for even the most mundane of reasons (a letter that could have easily been delivered via a messenger bird, a gift from the kazekage for the hokage’s birthday, making a pit stop at konoha to rest after a mission when it was clearly out of the way) and every time he’s in konoha, without fail, he would drop by to see tsukishima. he’d even wait for him to return from a mission before leaving. and without fail, he always has desert marigolds waiting for tsukishima. he thinks nothing of it at first, but then…it becomes so frequent and the gifts (not just the marigolds) kept coming. tsukishima will never admit it (and only maybe if he’s held at kunai point) but he…doesn’t mind it at all. he doesn’t mind kuroo’s presence at all. 

some time when they’ve somehow reached a sort of agreement on their relationship. “i don’t mind, you know.” tsukishima says as he is walking kuroo to the konoha gates. “making the trips to suna, i mean. every once in a while.” kuroo steps falters but he doesn’t stop. “eh? but you hate the heat. and you hate the desert.” “yeah.” tsukishima smirks, wry. “ yeah, i do.” they reach the gates and tsukishima turns to kuroo. “but you. i don’t hate you.” kuroo’s eyes widened in surprise at the admission and practically a confession on tsukishima’s part. he’s been trained to not show his emotions but somehow tsukishima just easily draws them out of him every time. he swallows, blink, before clearing his throat. “well, that’s good to hear then.” 

when kuroo becomes kazekage, tsukishima doesn’t move to suna. instead, they spent their lives going back and forth to suna and konoha. kuroo stays at suna for ¾ of the year and tsukishima stays in konoha ¾ of the year just frequently visiting each other. the other ¼ of they year they alternate between their two villages. if this year they spend it in suna, the next year they spend it in konoha. at this point they’re honorary citizens of each other’s villages. as kuroo is kazekage, more often than not they spend it in suna but when they both retire, they spend their remaining years together in konoha.
