i love how most recent marvel retcons just felt so fucking dumb and clearly just them trying to make the comics more like the movies in the most fucking boneless way possible that its just annoying and everyone hates it

but this one is different and feels different and everyone I see talking about it loves it and like the key difference here is that 1) its addressing some historical censorship that took place in the writing back in the 80s and kinda reintegrating those original ideas now that they CAN be written without the CCA and certain editors censoring everything and 2) it makes it absolutely canon that Mystique gave herself a dick and came inside a woman

dick was getting more and more distant these days, you'd been trying to talk to him, help him in any way possible but he resisted

you didn't know why, you questioned him if it was something you did but he just said its nothing

what happened to him?

all you could sense is he's in a dark place but why? he wouldn't tell you and you just couldn't keep asking him over and over again

he didn't talk to you very much now, he'd only talk if you'd try making small talk with him but that wouldn't lead anywhere

you started to get frustrated too not knowing why he was getting so distant, at last you couldn't take it and finally asked him why he was acting like this

he just looked at you almost sorry for how he was acting "its nothing" he mumbled out, seeming like he did not want to say anything else

you just couldn't take it now your eyes welled up with tears, and you started walking towards your room slowly, you felt pain and fear

pain of him going further and further, fear of him cheating on you

was he cheating on you? the question stayed in your mind even as tears rolled down your cheeks, you could hear faint footsteps behind you, it was dick

he held your hand and looked at you regretfully, you looked back at him with tears still in your eyes

you were a bit happy honestly that he was doing something instead of ignoring you like usual but what was he going to say?

he looked at you and said "i'm sorry for how I've treated you" his eyes were sorrowful and his voice was breaking at the last words, his eyes soon started filling up with tears

your tears had dried up till now but seeing him it made you feel sad, your hand wipes his tears as they roll down his face

he hugged you as you wipe his tears, and started quietly sobbing into your shoulder, you put your arms around him letting him know you'll always be there for him as you kiss his forehead
