So you did Firebenders imagines but what about the Waterbenders healing you after you get hurt. I know it's cliche but I enjoy the angst.
It's okay to be cliché, and I enjoy the angst too don't worry.
Pairing: Aang, Katara, Korra, Tonraq, Kya II x Reader
Tags: fluff, hurt/comfort, kissing, being worried, healing, injury recovery
A/N: Love how everyone wears blue here except for Aang, you just know he's special. Well he does have blue arrow tattoos.
Tumblr media
Aang doesn't leave your side until he's sure you're healed up. He's not a healer but he can't leave you to deal with this on your own. Just tell him what you need him to fetch for you, where it hurts and he'll do his best to cool that area off.
Katara is able to calm down quickly and get things under control. She needs to, for your sake. You can see her hands shaking just a little bit so you offer her a strained smirk, something like this is a tiny scratch. Besides with her healing you know you'll be okay in no time.
Korra may have been taught by the best healer in the world but she's still learning. For you though she'll put her best foot forward. And hey if that doesn't work she can always try to kiss it better, it might work even better then her waterbending.
Tanraq has always been more of a warrior then a healer but that can come in handy as well. Might not be as quick as healing with waterbending but he can still make sure to ease your pain. He does get a whole lot more protective while you're recovering.
Kya II will fix you so quick you'll forget you were even injured. On the surface at least and yet she'll keep being clingy and hovering around you until you show her, not tell her, that you're fully healed, then and only then will she go in for a big kiss with you.

Fluffcember Day 06: Unbending
My prompt for today was Gingerbread House.
Fandom: The Legend of Korra
Shipping: Kya/Lin
Genre: Fluff with some worldbuilding
Length: 1405 words
[Ao3 Link]
Tumblr media
“Tell me the story again,” Rohan demanded, as he was sitting on Lin's lap.
Really, Lin knew why she had never had children. Well, alright, thinking that way was lying to herself. She had never had children, because she had never been in a relationship for long enough for marriage or children to happen. But really, babysitting Tenzin's kids made sure she was not regretting it.
“I've already told you two times,” she said and could not help a sigh.
“But I like the story!” The 6-year-old looked at her from bright eyes. A pleading look, reminding her of Naga's best polarbeardog eyes.
She sighed again, before somehow continuing the task of putting icing on the ginger-bread side. “After the war between the three tribes had ended, there was a big celebration…”
“No, no, no!” Rohan protested. “From the very beginning.”
How often could he listen to the same old story? A story so old, that it really was hard to say how much of it was history and how much was myth. Was it one or the other? “A long time ago, the world was not as we know it today. While most Earthbenders lived on Zhongua, there was no Earth Kingdom yet. For sure, there had been many rulers who had tried to unite the Earthbenders in one nation, but each and everyone of them had failed. At this time the continent of Zhongua had been divided between three mighty tribes. The Diqui Ren to the North, the Yenchen in the East and the Arunima in the South West of it all. Legends told that on the islands in the South there once had been another tribe, but all contact had been lost, until one day Yammenchen appeared. A young and powerful Earthbender, who said he was the prince of the Yenchen tribe. He had come, he said, to unite the different tribes and join them together in peace. At the same time, though, the newest Avatar had been born to the Arunima tribe, a cousin of their king and loyal to the family name…" She really did not understand how the boy was so interested in the history of a nation not his own. But, she figured, Tenzin would probably tell him about airbender history at every waking moment. She had to smile weakly, as she thought of that.
“The story went that after many trials and tribulations the young prince Yammenchen and Avatar Chandran had become brothers in blood and had joined forces, to quell the wars of the kingdoms and unite the Earthbenders under one banner. The birth of the Earth Kingdom, still celebrated to this day two weeks before the winter solstice.
“After the war had ended,” she once more came to the finale of the story, “Avatar Yammenchen, King Chandran and his three advisors build a hall for the tribes to exchange their wisdom and knowledge. A monument to their new found peace. The Great Jia, its beams made out of Arunima wood, the stones sources from the great Diqui quarry and the roof tiles crafted by the tile makers from Yenchen. It should be a monument to unite the new nation.” Incidentallly she finished to put the last tile onto the gingerbread monument, that was supposed to be a recreation of the legendary one.
“And what happened to it?” Rohan asked, as if she had not told him before.
“The Fire Nation destroyed it,” Kya said, making Lin almost jump.
Since when had Kya even been here? A blush burned on Lin's cheeks as she looked to the woman. A blush that really was not befitting the chief of Republic City police. But it could not be helped, after last night.
Rohan looked at the sweet recreation, that frankly did not look quite sturdy. “The Fire Nation really were the bad guys, weren't they?”
“In the 100 years war they were, yes,” Lin said. “But you have to see that the Earth Kingdom had been conquering other nations in the past as well. Or had at least tried to.” Most of the history of their world could be divided in either the Fire Nation or the Earth Kingdom on attack – or in phases where both nations had internal conflicts.
Those eternal conflicts of course had been something to happen to the Water Tribes as well – but at least they had never dragged the rest of the world into it. Well, at least not until Unaluq.
She sighed once more, just before Kya sat down next to her, with the boy quickly switching to the lap of her favorite aunt.
“You really like stories, don't you?” Kya said, leading to a somewhat blank stare.
“Everyone likes stories.”
“I remember your older siblings not being that engaged with them,” Kya said with a smile. “Do you want to study history someday?”
At this the young boy frowned. “Why would I do that?”
Lin could not help a chuckle. “I think he has some years left to decide on that.”
Kya looked at her. “Probably.”
Quickly Lin lowered her gaze, not being able to look into Kya's eyes. Stupid, really. But… Well…
And as if the world had been plotting against her, Pema used just this moment to enter the room. “Dinner is ready,” she announced, with Rohan quickly jumping up. “Yeah!”
Pema looked at the gingerbread monument. “It looks… good.”
The little pause made Lin frown. Really, she was not the most artistic person to graze the world, but it was not looking that bad. Sure, the roof was a bit crooked, but…
Rohan was already with his mother, as Lin wanted to get up as well. But without a word to her, Kya tugged her shirt, before looking at her sister-in-law. “We'll be there shortly.”
Great. Lin knew what that was supposed to mean: Kya wanted to talk.
The last evening had been nothing more than a drunken stupidity. When the airbender kids had been to bed, the adults had reminisced about the old times. Lin had drunken some good rice wine – maybe a bit too much. And after accompanying Kya outside… Things had happened. Things that would not have happened, if she had been sober. Not that it could be changed now.
“Lin,” Kya said, at least being the first one to speak.
“Look, I was drunk, okay?” Lin muttered.
Kya frowned. “Should I take that as an insult?”
This one took Lin aback. “What?”
“Well, what you are saying is, that you would not have slept with me, if you had been sober. That sounds like an insult.”
Lin groaned, even though a part of her knew that Kya was just messing with her. “What I am saying is that I would've not slept with anyone, if I had been sober. Anyone at all.”
Kya gave her a side-eye. “Your loss, really.”
With some effort Lin looked at the woman. “Could you please take this serious?”
“I am taking this serious.”
“Look, Kya, I mean…” Lin groaned again, because really, words were not her forte. “We are old.”
“So?”
“We are basically siblings.”
“Not really, though.”
“And we are…”
“Lin,” Kya interrupted her. “Yes, we are old. But that does not have to mean we are going to have to be celibate for the rest of our lives. Look, I like women. I like you, for that matter. And judging by last night, you actually do like me as well.”
“But…” Lin tried to argue with this, even though there really was no arguing about it. She had had this big crush on Kya when they had been teens – and had been too shy to do anything about that. Then her interest had shifted to Tenzin and they all knew how that had turned out. After that? Well, there had only been a few drunken mistakes. Nothing more. And now she was old. Too old to…
Kya gave a long and drawn-out sigh. “I mean it, Lin. I like you. And maybe you should stop being so…” She stopped as she was trying to find the right word. “… unbending.”
“I am an Earthbender, being unbending is kinda our thing,” Lin muttered, even though it was a weak excuse.
“And I am just saying,” Lin replied. “Maybe you want to change things up for a little. And give good things a chance to happen.” With that she pursed her lips and got up. “Think about it, yeah?”

perfection → mashiho x reader
Tumblr media
genre; fluff, domestic!au
pairing; boyfriend!mashiho × fem!reader
warning; mentions of food, controlled flame?? (they're just birthday candles), nothing else really, it's meant to be a sweet blurb<3
wc; 1.4k
(a/n → for @sunoo-bby I would've released this so much sooner if you had just told me your birthday love, but nonetheless I hope you're having the best birthday <3. the day you were born deserves to be celebrated, you're a literal angel, im so sorry about the quality of the fic, i wanted to finish it before the day was up!! i hope you like it regardless though💓😭)
Tumblr media
You were so perfect.
Laying with your eyes shut and your hair slightly draped over your face, your sleepiness was very evident. Lips slightly parted in your slumber, and your arm placed neatly behind your head, supporting both you and your pillow with your palm.  Mashiho could look at you for hours.
To him, you looked ethereal, but then again, you always looked like a goddess. He viewed you on a pedestal, no matter your insecurities, Mashiho did his best to reassure you that you were by far the most beautiful person he had ever seen, and he meant it, every word.
He laid on his side, elbow leaning into the pillow, causing a dip in the soft white fabric as he supported his weight. Palm pressed against his face, he'd been admiring you like this for a good 10 minutes.
Fluttering your eyelashes open, you gazed at Mashiho sleepily. He smiled softly at you, everything about you was perfect, your every breath was music to his ears.
Normally you'd be awake long before him, but you had to cover a shift for your friend last night and didn't get home 'til twelve.
"Hey there," he smiled as he spoke, his voice was soft and a little lower than normal, you could tell he'd recently woken up.
You playfully grumbled, "Stop staring at me it's creepy." You gently batted his face away, adoration evident in his endless smile.
He chuckled and you couldn't help but smile at the sound, the both of you were so madly in love with each other. Your friends constantly complained the two of you would give them cavities if you continued with all the PDA.
And honestly? That was what you loved about Mashiho, no matter what, he did his best to make sure you felt safe, that you knew you were loved. In turn, Mashiho loved that about you too, he loved how you could relax into his touch, how you always accepted his love, even if he thought he could be overbearing at times, the both of you were two halves of a whole. You completed each other.
Looking at him now, with a lovestruck look in your eyes, you knew that.
Rubbing your eyes, you sat upright on your bed. You felt around your bed for your phone, where was it? You looked over at your boyfriend who held the very object you were looking for between his middle and index fingers, twirling it around and smiling at you.
"Give that back you thief," you said, staring at him with wide accusing eyes. Him being, well... Mashiho, just snickered at you.
"Hey, I'm serious, c'mon."
You could've sworn you saw his smile grow, his eyes forming slight crescents as he watched you whine about your phone.
"Anyone else would say thank you," he nodded at your half-awake state, "you forgot to charge your phone last night, so I," he paused, placing his hand, and your phone, against his chest in a dramatic manner, "your amazing boyfriend, charged it for you."
How could he be this dramatic this early in the morning? Regardless, you complied, albeit sarcastically; "Fine, thank you so much Mr. Amazing-boyfriend, now can I have my phone back?"
Mashiho stood up from the bed, placing your phone in the pocket of his sweatpants and walking away from the bed despite your audible protests. "If you want your phone, c'mon." He jerked his head toward the door, he wore his signature grin.
You swore your boyfriend acted like a toddler sometimes, but then again, you signed up for it, and you didn't regret a second of the four years you'd been together, every moment was like a movie with Mashiho, it was the little things he did that made your heart flutter the most.
Like the first time you stayed over at his house and met his mom, she gushed about all the things Mashiho had told her about you; like your dislike of bell peppers because you thought they were too bitter, or how you picked at your thumbnails when you were nervous, which you were doing the moment she had told you that. Besides remembering things, he also showed his affection subconsciously, when you held hands, he gave your palms a reassuring squeeze every now and then simply out of habit. He also offered you his headphones when you were in public, usually playing music from the playlist you two had made together at some point in the first year of your relationship.
God, you loved him, but not when was playing keep-away with your phone. Especially not so early in the morning.
You reluctantly got out of bed, walking up to Mashiho, who still stood in the doorway to your bedroom, his mischievous grin taunting you to come and get your phone from him.
As you neared him, he backed up into the hallway and eventually walked out into the living room of your shared apartment with his back to you as you followed him in pursuit of your phone.
Needless to say, you were amused by your boyfriend but you still wanted your phone back. "Mashihoo," you whined, dragging the last syllable of his name a little longer than usual.
You ended up in the kitchen with him, where he reached inside your fridge, pulling out a small cake with blue frosting and shaky handwritten white icing that spelled out your name. He placed it on the counter and pulled out two small yellow and white striped candles from one of the wooden cabinets. He quickly lit them with the small lighter you kept in the kitchen for the assorted candles you had around your house.
You looked at him with shining eyes, you had completely forgotten about your birthday until this moment. You were so tired from working late last night that you hadn't even had time to have a conversation with your boyfriend, much less worry about your birthday, you just laid down and went straight to sleep.
"Mashiho," you said softly, your smile was more than enough to make his surprise worth it. He would never admit to it, nor would he let you know, but he was up the night you were out working making this cake, it wasn't perfect but he tried, and that made it perfect to you.
"Could you hit the lights, I'm trying to have a moment here"
You chuckled at his joke before turning around and flipping the light switch behind you off, though it didn't make much of a difference in the morning light.
He picked up the platter that he had put his homemade cake on and walked towards you, the two candle flames dancing faintly as he moved forward.
Slowly beginning to sing the same tacky happy birthday song you had heard for years, though it felt different coming from him, you melted at his soft voice. Whenever he sang, his voice sounded so magical. Even now, when he was just singing happy birthday to you, it felt like a private concert with your own special singer; your boyfriend.
After he finished you blew out your candles, you wished for things to always be like this, with him. Having Mashiho meant you already had everything you could ever wish for and more.
You clapped your hands together a few times and looked Mashiho in the eyes, he broke your gaze to set down the cake on your dining table. Turning back to you, he held your hands in his, looking you in your eyes, he pressed a quick peck to your nose, then another to your eyelid, then the other. Kissing all over your face before he finally gave you a proper kiss and hit the light switch on behind you.
"C'mon, you can't expect me to wait for cake."
You frowned as your boyfriend pulled away from you. He sighed, pressing another peck to your lips and casting a side glance at the cake just to the left of you. You chuckled at how cute he was. "All right you big baby, we can eat cake now." You smiled at him as you said that, watching his face twist into one of pure joy.
"Oh! I almost forgot," Mashiho reached into his pocket, "Your gift!"
He pulled out your phone, the very phone you had chased him out here for. Your face contorted into one of indignation as you took back your phone. "Hey!"
You couldn't keep up your facade, even pretending to be mad at him was hard, he was just too cute. He gave you his famous grin and quickly placed another peck on your lips
He was so perfect.

I died, too
“I didn’t mean for this to happen,” Lin whispered, knelt in the cave. “I was too late, and now...” she trailed off, tears gathering in the corners of her eyes.
“There was nothing you could have done,” Bumi said with a grimace. “That combustion bender had us pinned down. There was nothing--” his voice broke, and he buried his face in his hands.
Lin ran a finger along Kya’s jawline. “I’m sorry, Kya. I failed you.” She looked up to Bumi. “I failed both of you.”
When they laid Kya to rest at the South Pole, Lin knew that a part of her had died right along with her.

I didn’t mean (fluff edition)
Kya woke up to the smells of cooking.
Or rather, burnt cooking.
A quick glance told her she was alone in bed, and the muffled cursing confirmed.
She stretched, wondering whether to slip out to the bakery down the street, or just wait one more minute.
Her body decided staying still was the way to go.
She inhaled the breeze blowing in the window, and rolled over onto her stomach. She rolled onto her back and shoulders and snuggled into the mattress. She scooted over the lump between their sides, feeling the difference.
The door clicked.
She rolled back over to see Lin with a tray full of dishes, and something that smelled wonderful.
She could feel the smile lighting up her own face as she noted the single pink peony contrasting with the white and green porcelain.
“That smells so much better than, well, whatever that was.” She smiled, scooted back to sit against the headboard, and lifted her face for a kiss.
Lin smirked. “You’re missing a little bit of rice. It fell off into the burner. I didn’t mean for that to happen.”
Kya chuckled. “Of course not.”
“But I do mean for you to have a lovely birthday.”

Happy Birthday, Ayato! ❤️
// Today is the golden boy’s birthday!! Sweet and spicy visual god, you are the reason of my unattainablly high standards… and also of my questionable financial decisions, lol.
This looks more like an Ayayui shrine than an individual Ayato one, but I couldn’t fit all the items in one pic, therefore I chose the ones that were the easiest to find in my room. :”)
Tumblr media
Nevertheless… I did try to prepare a SCENARIO too! I used my nsfw edit as the cg, although I didn’t show everything. The romantic part is really cheesy and cringe, but if you’re into fluff, you will like that. 💕💕
Tumblr media
~Operation: Ayato-kun’s birthday~
Yui: ( Haa… it feels as if there’s no ending to these anymore… )
( I woke up earlier today, hoping to finish all these exercises, yet I really can’t bring myself to understand how to solve them at all…! )
( My mind is completely in a whole different place right now. Today is Ayato-kun’s birthday after all. )
( Unfortunately, all the assignments kept me so busy this week that I wasn’t even able to bake a cake for him… )
( However, it’s still not too late for that, right? )
( Once I’m done with this page, I will definitely try to best to prepare it as soon as po—)
Reiji: Komori Yui, are you slacking again?
Yui: …!
R-Reiji-san!
( Oh no, he picked up my notebook! )
Reiji: Good grief, there are mistakes everywhere! Do I need to remind you that you are not permitted to bring disgrace upon the Sakamaki family as long as you reside under this mansion's roof?
Yui: Uuh… I-I’m really sorry, Reiji-san. I promise I’ll—
Reiji: Silence. I recently received your report card as well, and I must admit that I’m not pleased with your performance in the slightest. I was expecting such indifference from my brothers, but it’s rather disheartening for a human girl not to care about her education.
Yui: Y-You got it wrong! It’s not like I don’t care about school, but… simply put, the teachers have been giving us much too many tasks lately, and I find them quite difficult to solve, which stresses me out a little, to be honest.
Reiji: Hmph, excuses. I find it incomprehensible how such simple exercises cause you mental difficulties.
Nevertheless, I shall teach you then. Even if it requires the whole day to achieve that.
Yui: You will? Woah, thank you so much, Re— W-Wait, no! We can’t do that today!
Reiji: Pardon? Are you rejecting my offer to tutor you?
Yui: No, no! Not at all! It’s just that today is Ayato-kun’s birthday, and well… I would obviously want to celebrate it with him.
Reiji: Denied.
Yui: Eh—?
Reiji: You truly are a fool. Vampires show no interest in the day of their birth. Now, take a sit.
Yui: …
( I know Reiji-san is not in the wrong, but… I really do want to celebrate Ayato-kun’s birthday. That day may not be special to him but it’s so special to me. )
( Am I being selfish, I wonder…? )
*Timeskip*
Reiji: It appears that you’re finally able to understand how to solve this exercise. The next ones are similar to it, therefore there shouldn’t be any obstacles.
Yui: Yes, I see…
( I appreciate Reiji-san’s help, yet too many hours have passed by and baking a cake from scratch is not possible anymore… )
Place: Living room
Yui: ( Hmm… apparently I still have enough pocket money to buy a cake. I know a self-made one would have been more meaningful, but I really couldn’t… )
Kanato: Yui-san, are you spacing out?
Yui: Eh—? Ah, Kanato-kun, I didn’t see you there. I’m fine, but I’m a bit in a hurry, so… see y— Kya!
( He grabbed my wrist! )
Kanato: You’re going to buy a cake for my brother, aren’t you?
Yui: Uhh… well yes, I mean, it’s his birthday after all.
Kanato: My birthday was yesterday and I didn’t see you get any cake for me, nor for Laito. Teddy thinks you forgot about us. Tell me, Yui-san, is that true?
Yui: T-that’s not it!
Kanato: So you’re going to buy a cake for me as well after all? I might forgive you if you do that.
Yui: ( What did I get myself into…! I’m sure Kanato-kun will throw a tantrum if I say “no”. )
But… I don’t think I got enough money for two cakes.
Kanato: Please don’t worry about that, Yui-san, I know my ways. Or what, are you doubting me now?
Yui: …!
— shakes head —
Kanato: Good, now let’s go.
Place: Demon World Cake shop
Yui: Woah, I’ve never seen such big cakes before!
Kanato: Please don’t shout. Your looks already make you resemble a servant, you don’t have to act like one as well.
Yui: ( Hey, that’s mean! )
Cake shop owner: Welcome, how can I help you?
Yui: We’re searching for a birthday cake, but uhm… one a bit smaller than the ones displayed here, if possible.
Cake shop owner: Any flavor you got in mind?
Yui: ( Speaking of flavor, I don’t think Ayato-kun has ever told me anything about his favorite. He would probably say Takoyaki but a Takoyaki cake… that doesn’t feel right. )
I think he likes straw—
Kanato: Raspberry!
Cake shop owner: Wonderful! We just finished a raspberry cake a few minutes ago!
— brings cake —
Yui: ( It truly looks delicious…! Besides, it’s red as well, which is Ayato-kun’s favorite color, so I believe he would truly like this one! )
Kanato: Alright, we’ll take it!
Place: Mansion
Yui: Phew, I’m glad the cake didn’t get crushed on the way.
Kanato: It’s time to eat!
Yui: Wha—! No, Kanato-kun, you can’t!
Kanato: Excuse me, but who do you think you are? This is my cake, therefore I’m allowed to eat it whenever I want!
Yui: W-Well, don’t you want to wait for Ayato-kun too? This way, you two will be able to eat it together like bro—!!
(He pushed me in the cake!?)
Kanato-kun, why did you do this!?
Kanato: You ruined the cake!
Yui: Me!? But Kanato-kun was the one who pushed me there!
Kanato: Teddy says you’re annoying, and I agree. Now how will you fix your mistakes?
Yui: ( I can barely see anything…! )
Kanato: Fufu, look at her Teddy! She’s full of cake from head to toe! Now, let’s give it a taste che—
Yui: You can’t!
— moves cake away from him —
Kanato: I can!
— moves cake back —
Yui: No!
— moves cake away —
Kanato: Hmph, just give up already, will you!?
— pushes her away —
Yui: Wait, no—!!!
???: Oi, what the—!
— cake falls on them —
Kanato: Noooo, the cake!!!! Ngh, this is no fun anymore!
Yui: Uuh… Why is the floor so soft…?
Ayato: ‘Cause it’s not the floor, you idiot.
Yui: Ah! A-Ayato-kun!
Uhh… Happy birthday…~?
Ayato: Geez, c’mere, you’re an even bigger mess.
— picks her up —
Place: Bathroom
Yui: ( This is so embarrassing…! )
Ayato: Haa… You’re finally not covered in cake anymore.
Yui: I… I’m sorry…
Ayato: Huh? What are you apologizing for? I’m not mad that you dropped that cake on me.
Yui: That’s not the only thing I’m sorry about…
If it weren’t for my carelessness, you would have gotten a nice birthday, but now… you don’t even have a cake anymore.
( Ah, I’m feeling as if I’m about to cry right now… )
Ayato: Hey, c’mon that’s not worth the tears. I’m a vampire, remember? I don’t care about my birthday, so there’s no need to worry about such stuff.
Yui: Maybe you don’t care about it but… I do. I know that I’m about to sound selfish, but your birthday is very special to me. It represents the day you were born and I… I simply can’t imagine not celebrating it.
Ayato-kun is important to me, therefore that automatically makes his birthday important to me too.
Ayato: You klutz…
— hugs her —
Yui: W-Wha—! Ayato-kun…!
Ayato: Seriously, are all humans really that sentimental? Or does this only apply to cute girls like you?
Yui: …!
(He… he called me cute! )
— blushes —
Ayato: The day’s still not over, y’know? There’s still time to celebrate it if you’re really that obsessed with it.
Yui: …! So, are you really okay with that?
Ayato: Yeah? If I weren’t, I would have told you, idiot. On top of that, it’s not like I got anything better to do anyway.
Now tell me, Chichinashi, what exactly do you have in store for today?
Yui: Hm… uhm… nothing comes to my mind at the moment, but for now… I can’t say I mind spending time like this with Ayato-kun.
Ayato: Heh~? You suddenly don’t mind being in my arms while naked?
Yui: P-Phrasing it like that…!
Ayato: Well, if that’s the case, then… you wouldn’t mind if I sucked your blood either, right?
Yui: Go ahead.
Ayato: Hah? No talking back? Are you really that easy to convince today? Or, could it be that you finally admit enjoying the pleasure these fangs give you?
Yui: It’s not only about your fangs, Ayato-kun. I really like you as a whole.
I wasn’t even able to find a gift for you, therefore giving you my blood is the least I can do.
Ayato: Heh, I see… I don’t need your blood as a gift though.
Yui: You don’t…?
Ayato: Nope, ‘cause I already got the best gift ever.
Yui: Is that so?
( Did someone already give him something for his birthday? If that’s the case, then who could it be? )
( Ah… I guess I’m just overthinking, but now I’m really curious. )
Ayato: You really wanna know, don’t you? It’s already written on your face.
Are you getting jealous~?
Yui: T-That’s…—!
Ayato: Pfft, you really did get jealous, huh?
Yui: ( Ugh… he’s making fun of me now! )
Ayato: Anyway, there’s no need to. After all, the best gift I’ve ever gotten…
It’s you, Yui.

Note
what is your Lee and Kya AU based off of ATLA
I've always been a little bit obsessed with Zuko's journey through the Earth Kingdom in Book Two, especially the time he (and the Gaang) spent in Ba Sing Se. The city, the people, the Dai Li, the conflicts... Everything is amazing. I love Jet's arc, and I never get tired of seeing Zuko (however briefly) feel happy and complete with a humble life.
There's beauty to the simplicity of life, and I'd like to explore that with ZK.
Book Two AUs will always be my go-to. From reluctant-travelling-partners to Bluetara-in-Ba Sing Se—I love all of it, so it's only natural the Lee and Kya from the Tea Shop AU came to exist.
The AU itself is only a bunch of scenes in my head so far. Of all my AUs, it's one of the most focused on the vibes and characters than the plot itself. That's not to say there's not a story involved. It's just not my main focus.
It's one of the most common Book Two AUs ever. Zuko and Katara are separated from their companions, find each other and travel together to Ba Sing Se, learning how to work together and falling in love along the way. Nothing new there, except for a few scarce scenes that are so precious to me and, by extension, to the AU itself.
They get help from Uncle Iroh and the White Lotus to get to Ba Sing Se, but they go alone (he'll eventually join them, just not for a long while). No Uncle Iroh = no Jasmine Dragon = more time in the Lower Ring.
There's also a lot more of Jet (and his antagonistic, one sided crush on both Kya and Lee), and possibly some spy/informant work for the White Lotus. Also short hair Zutara because we need more of that.
For some reason, Katara isn't searching for the rest of the Gaang (maybe she believes them dead, or perhaps they were forced to leave her behind at the Swamp and her deeply ingrained abandonment issues resurfaced).
Zuko is Tired with a capital T. Tired of the war, tired of trying, tired of everything.
Uncle Iroh is off on some obscure White Lotus business, and he trusts them both enough to draw them into the Order and ask for their help.
So, a little drama, some spy shenanigans, and lots of fluff.
