My favourite anime women- a miscellaneous list

Hey :) so, this is the first part of a small series I’m working on about anime women I personally really admire ! Each post will contain about 10 women as well as my reasons for loving them (I’ll still be posting reviews).

Spoilers for seven deadly sins, sailor moon, high school dxd, madoka magica, MHA, and Violet Evergarden and tw for murder, forced marriage, suicide, and severe injuries

Part 2

Ami Mizuno (Sailor moon)

“The future is something that you build by yourself,” - Ami Mizuno

Out of the sailor guardians, I'd say Ami was without a doubt my favourite. Not only does she have water powers and plays a valuable support role in battle, but she's instrumental when it comes to the brains behind the team and their tactics. Logical, calculating, and intelligent, she always knows the right answer, and this is also because of all the intel she gathers to keep informed. As well as being a crucial part of the team, she studies really hard, and her diligence and intellect make her the top student at her school. With ambitions of becoming a doctor, Ami has a passion for problem solving and academics, so she can often be seen reading. I adored how knowledgeable and dedicated she is, and I respected her hard work, as well as her high position as a student. Both, as well as the fact that she's the brains behind the sailor guardians, made her really inspirational to me.

2. Rei Hino (Sailor moon)

(Please bear in mind I am talking about the manga version of Rei, who is quite different from the anime Rei)

“I don’t care if it’s a ghost or not, if a guy falls for seduction it’s his own damned fault,”

Rei is powerful and strong, with her spiritual powers leading to a formidable intuition and almost being able to sense the future. As well as that, Rei is stubborn, hot-tempered and she has a bit of a sharp tongue. This means she doesn't take crap from anyone and will always point out issues with brutal honesty, as well as pursuing things in the way she deems correct. This can be seen in her refusal to marry due to lack of interest- Rei wants to become a high priestess for her grandfather's shrine, and is very dedicated to this. She later shows the same passion and dedication to protecting sailor moon. I loved her conviction, strength and independence, as well as her down to earth and blunt attitude.

3. Makoto Kino (Sailor moon)

“It’s kind of sad that you think love is something you should take,”

As well as being incredibly physically strong and athletic, Makoto is a very protective friend who is always looking out for others and helping them. Despite not having had an easy life, with both her parents dying, she continues to persevere and face the challenges of being a sailor guardian. Makoto also combines all her protective strength, diligence and determination with a softer and more stereotypically feminine side- she loves gardening and baking, and is very proficient at both. This is also seen in her romantic and sentimental personality. However, in the case of Makoto, her femininity is presented as a strength, not something weak or inferior, especially when combined with all her other strengths.

4. Setsuna Meio (Sailor moon)

“Watching over someone from afar is a kind of love, too,”

Setsuna is knowledgeable and logical- she studies from afar and tries to figure out the enemy and their intention. On earth, she had a career as a nurse and later as a researcher at a university, which both illustrate her academic and intellectual prowess. As well as that, despite appearing slightly aloof and cold, Setsuna cares a great deal for all her teammates and she helped raise Hotaru when she was reborn as a baby. As well as keeping watch over everyone, Setsuna was also one of the few friends Chibi Usa had growing up- she was often lonely, and, due to her kind, caring nature. Setsuna would comfort her.

5. Merlin (Seven deadly sins)

“A human ceases to be once they stop thinking,”

Merlin is the most powerful mage in Britannia and one of the seven deadly sins- her magical strength is unrivalled, with the power of her treasure (which she can be seen using in spells) being versatile and almost infinite. Despite being playful, kind hearted and cheerful most of the time, Merlin is mysterious and serious, with a level headed and calm nature- she never loses her composure. Above all else, Merlin values knowledge- she is always running experiments or reading in an attempt to discover as much as she can about the world. Merlin is often depicted as confident and independent throughout the series, standing up for herself and being more than capable of fighting in battles. Her power and intellect, as well as her cool, confident, level headed, and yet kind personality make her an icon in my eyes.

6. Rias Gremory (high school dxd)

“We haven’t lost yet ! You lose when you’ve given up,” - Rias Gremory

Those who have already read my post on Rias will be familiar with my take on her, but I think she was worth including here for quite a few, often forgotten, reasons. The show often oversexualises her and sometimes portrays her as being nothing but Issei’s love interest, but that is only one side of the coin. Obviously, her powers are strong and she’s phenomenal on the battlefield, which is how she’s earned the nickname “princess of ruin,”. Rias is also a calm, level headed and diligent leader who greatly cares for her servants, stopping at nothing to ensure their safety and getting revenge if they are insulted. She also helps them to grow and develop as fighters, with the training camp before her rating game against Phoenix being an example. As well as that, Rias is also logical, calculating and intelligent- from her victories in chess, to her skill in the classroom, to her strategizing before battle, it’s clear she has a good brain. On top of all that, Rias is independent, determined and hard-working- when she was offered the chance to participate in a rating game against Phoenix to win her right to not be forced to marry him, Rias accepted without hesitation, despite having no experience and her opponent being one of the best. She worked her team really hard and even stopped sleeping to prepare as much as she could, and fought with dignity and determination until the very end, all for her independence and the right to make her own decisions.

7. Kyoko Sakura (Madoka Magica)

“You know what I think ? You take what you’ve got and figure out how to get something out of it,” - Kyoko Sakura

This is another one that might seems slightly unusual. Kyoko was introduced to the series as a greedy, selfish and unsympathetic girl, showing no remorse for the humans who got killed by witches and laughing at Sayaka for her “naïve,” belief in justice. However, when we later find out more about her, it becomes abundantly clearthat the true Kyoko is someone kind and selfless. She first became a magical girl to save her family from poverty and make her father happy, but, after her wish went horribly wrong, Kyoko’s father ended up spiralling into despair and killing himself as well as her whole family. This led Kyoko to believe that magic should only be used for one’s own gain, and using it for anything else only leads to pain. She explained all this to Sayaka after their fight, trying to save her from making the same mistakes she did so she wouldn’t have to suffer, which she wouldn’t have bothered with if she was truly selfish. In fact, Kyoko saw a mirror of her past self in Sayaka- someone selfless with a firm belief in justice. Sayaka dismissed Kyoko’s warning, which gradually led her down a path of despair, until she herself became a witch. Just before this happened, Kyoko sought her out to check up on her, trying to get her to listen one last time to protect her from the suffering. Even after Sayaka became a witch, Kyoko reached out to Madoka and told her about her plan to see if Sayaka could be converted to a human again. When this failed, Kyoko gave up on her own life so that Madoka and Homura can get away safely and so Sayaka’s witch form could be eliminated as a threat. The true Kyoko was someone strong and selfless, who in the end, sacrificed everything for the sake of trying to save someone else, and only acted based on good intentions.

8. Momo Yaoyorozu (MHA)

“We should always start with the basics to develop the depth of learning. We must strive to devote ourselves wholeheartedly,”- Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo is easily the smartest, most knowledgeable person in class 1-A. Not only does she always have a strategy and an answer ready, she also scored the highest on the mid terms and was one of three students who got in based on recommendations. The nature of her quirk means she needs to study a lot and be a good tactician- she can make anything from the lipids in her body, as long as she understands that object’s chemical composition. This power is useful and versatile, and Momo uses it with increasing efficacy and confidence as the anime progresses. She was determined to improve after her confidence took a nosedive due to her loss at the sports festival, and this led to her making considerable progress and being instrumental in later victories for team exercises. Momo is also happy to help her classmates with their studies- she was thrilled to host a study session all together before the exams, which shows that, despite a cool exterior, she’s sweet and selfless.

9. Kyoka Jiro (MHA)

“If you do this, we just might win. But there’s no time to hesitate,” - Kyoka Jiro

As well as wanting to become a hero, Jiro is passionate about music and can play many instruments. This is even reflected in the way she dresses and decorated her dorm- her style has a dark, punk vibe to it, which I very much respected. Because of this passion of hers, she was crucial to class 1-A’s concert for the school culture festival- she pretty much led and managed everything due to her vast knowledge of music. This also helped her realise that she didn’t really have to choose between being a hero and music, two things she’s very dedicated to and works hard at- she could, in some sense, have both.

10. Violet Evergarden (Violet Evergarden)

“The worst battle is between what you know and what you feel,” - Violet Evergarden

Violet was an orphaned child taken in by an army Major. Because of her skill on the battlefield and the way she could take out several soldiers with very little problem, she quickly made a name for herself. In the last battle of the war, things got very sour for Violet and the Major, who was on the verge of dying, as the enemies kept firing. No matter what was happening, Violet always protected him courageously. Her determination to protect him and her selflessness didn’t save him, and Violet lost both arms in the battle, so she had to be hospitalised and provided with metal prosthetics. After her hospitalisation, Violet starts to work as an auto memory doll for the Major’s friend’s company. She is scarred from the war and doesn’t understand emotions due to that, so in an effort to figure out the meaning of “I love you,”, she begins writing letters for others to express their feelings in eloquent ways. At first, despite excelling at English, Violet is unable to transform the feelings she doesn’t understand into words. However, as the show goes on, she gets progressively better at it and is faced with many different emotions, many of which stem from difficult situations. Violet quickly adapts and deals with these, becoming one of the best auto memory dolls in the company, and gaining an understanding of the emotions she previously lacked. Violet’s talent, her intellect and her determination, as well as her loyalty to her love and her prowess on the battlefield, all made me admire her when I watched the anime, but on top of all that was her increased understanding of the world and her hard work. When the war was threatening to start up again, Violet nobly risked her life to fight for peace.

Playing With Fire: A Pro Hero Dabi AU (Future AU) Chapter One

Summary: Toya Todoroki was groomed his entire life to be his father's successor, only for it to backfire in Endeavor's face. Ranked in the top ten alongside his two closest friends, Hawks and Mirko, the 26-year-old BlueFlame Hero: Dabi is the bane of Endeavor's existence. For half a decade, the trio has been the topic of several scandals involving drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity as they splurge their fortunes on ridiculous parties. Pampered with support items and his family's fortune, Dabi is widely known for his impulsivity and douchebag attitude. However, after meeting his match in a random club, Toya Todoroki has no idea where his life is headed, other than that he wants to spend the rest of it with Sakura and their future children. Now, a year has passed since class 1-A graduated from UA, and, per the Commission, they all serve as sidekicks to various hero agencies (primarily those of Dabi, Hawks, and Mirko).

TL;DR Between pissing off his father, competing with his friends/rivals, trying to start a family, and running his own agency, Toya has absolutely nothing under control, especially his tendency to drink his problems away.

Chapter One: The Introduction

The BlueFlame Agency was conveniently placed right across the street from the Endeavor Agency. After years of hard work, Daddy’s money, and not giving any fucks, Toya Todoroki AKA BlueFlame Hero: Dabi had built his own empire. He had been lucky enough to have Support Items that compensated for his complicated Quirk. With a body built for ice and a Quirk of raging fire, Toya Todoroki was the embodiment of self-sabotage. Here he was, twenty-six years old, in the top ten, with only two real friends: Hawks and Mirko. They were rivals that actually gave a shit about each other. Their agencies were all in the same city: Musutafu. It was a town with a large population, which meant more crime and villain activity. The three of them lived like Hollywood celebrities; they partied, they drank, they slept around, and the cycle repeated. They were always trying to outdo one another while simultaneously always having each other’s backs.

When his little brother’s class graduated from UA, they were forced to be sidekicks instead of Pros first. The Commission wanted it that way. They were running out of reliable sidekicks, and heroes that gave their sidekicks respect. By training them as rookies and underlings first, they would have the humility and appreciation for their Pro standings as they rose through the ranks. Toya was offended when he found out Shoto chose Mirko’s agency over his own, but he was glad that he hadn’t signed up for Endeavor’s. In truth, Shoto insisted he only applied because it was where his friends were going. The main contenders of the famous “ 2110 Class 1-A” were split between Mirko, Hawks, and Dabi. The BlueFlame Agency housed Katsuki Bakugo, Mina Ashido, Hanta Sero, Denki Kaminari, Ejiro Kirishima, and Kyoka Jirou. Meanwhile, the Hawks Agency boasted Fumikage Tokoyami, Yuga Aoyama, Neito Monoma, Momo Yaoyorozu, Tenya Ida, and Mezo Shoji. Finally, Mirko’s sidekicks were Shoto Todoroki, Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Koji Koda, and Mashirao Ojiro. It had been a year since they first began their careers as sidekicks, and many of them were becoming anxious and antsy, wanting to step it up a notch.

“He’s late for rounds…again,” Katsuki Bakugo snarls, drumming his gloved hands on his elbow. The sidekicks stand in line awaiting the arrival of their fearless leader: Dabi. They referred to him as many things amongst each other: Hot Topic, Dipstick, Daddy Issues, Shoto’s Psycho Older Brother. He was almost always hungover at every single rounds meeting, and it had been that way since day one. It was no secret that Toya Todoroki had a slight drinking problem that likely started during high school. He, Hawks, and Mirko had made several tabloids very wealthy with their luxurious, salacious parties. Toya had been in several interviews for being an openly neurodivergent Pro, but he hated every minute of them. Once he got away from his father, he stopped taking his ADHD medication. Mina thinks the real reason he stopped taking it was so he could drink as much as he wanted whenever he wanted, but no one really knows. One time, they all came back from a mission to discover him and Hawks contemplating snorting a line of coke, and it was unclear who was trying to encourage or discourage who.

“I know he’s here. I saw his car out front,” Kirishima frowns, his brow furrowing as he stretches.

“Maybe he passed out? Should someone go check on him?” Jirou pipes up as she takes off her headphones.

CRASH!

They all immediately look toward the ceiling, where the sound came from. The floor above them housed Toya’s office.

“OH SHIT!” Kaminari shouts, preparing to sprint up the stairs. Suddenly, more crashes echo from upstairs…followed by a distinct, high-pitched repetitive noise.

“Oh…Oh God, really?! ” Sero cringes as he covers his ears.

“OH NO! OH FUCK! SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME COTTON FOR MY HEADPHONE JACKS!” Jirou panics, her face paling as she squeezes her eyes shut.

“Aw maaan. How did she slip past us?!” Kaminari whines, and Kirishima jabs him in the side with his elbow.

“Not manly thirsting over a taken woman, bro,” Kirishima shakes his head, and Denki shrugs. The noises get louder and louder, and, suddenly, it’s apparent that there are two separate voices: one raspy and deep, and one smooth and feminine.

“Screw this. Again?” Mina huffs, her face turning red as she struts over to the stereo and turns the music all the way up. Unfortunately, it does next to nothing. Bakugo is the only one in the room with a blank, uncaring, unfazed stare, and everyone else looks wildly uncomfortable. It’s painfully obvious…Sakura’s here.

The noises coming from both parties might as well shake the walls, and they can hear the sounds of shuffling furniture in the ceiling.

Inside the Pro Hero’s office, Toya shoves all his papers, keyboard, and phone line off the desk and unceremoniously shoves his wife on it, lying her on her back as he continues to thrust into her. Sakura’s unable to keep quiet as she scratches at the back of his leather jacket.

“Watch the claws,” He grunts through his gasps as he continues to rapidly pound her.

“Shut the hell up,” Sakura growls between euphoric moans as her eyelids flutter. Toya smirks and deliberately gives a particularly harsh thrust, making her wince.

“You gonna keep being -ahhh- ah- a fucking brat ?” He groans, blinking hard to distract himself from the building arousal. He’s determined to break her first, or, at the very least, at the same time.

“ Y-you’re the f-f-uuuucking brat,” Sakura spits back at him as she grabs a fistful of the black leather, pulling him to her and smashing her lips to his. He digs his fingernails into her exposed shoulders, and it takes everything in him not to rip off that beautiful purple dress she’s wearing. He’d love nothing more than to burn it right off and leave her completely naked, but they had a meeting to attend. It had to be quick. They’d been going at it like rabbits for the past five days ever since they got married. After all, that was the plan that his father placed on his shoulders. Find a strong girl with a strong Quirk. Get hitched. Have a kid. Carry on the legacy. That was his duty as the eldest Todoroki son. It only just so happened that he was actually head over heels for this warrior of a woman. Unlike his father, he married for love and lust rather than for power. They had dated for three years and were engaged for two. It was just by chance that they met. He was drunk off his ass at Hawks’ party, planning on just having a one-night stand with the first sexy bitch that took interest. But then, he locked eyes with this toned, sleek woman with flowing brown hair on the dancefloor. And somehow…he knew. It was only her from then on, no one else.

Sakura and Toya’s tongues tease each other as the desk screeches back and forth with every motion. Sweat drips down both of them as his hips snap back and forth in fluid, calculated motions.

“Are you ready for it, baby?” His voice is a gravelly rasp in her ear, and it sends a chill down her spine.

“Twelfth times the charm,” She sighs with a teasing smile on her face. He would kill to see that smile every waking moment of his life.

“Fuck…Fuck, I’m coming. Oh, I’m fucking coming ,” The moans tumble out of his mouth as his thrusts become erratic, and he sharply inhales as Sakura’s walls clench around him. Her back arches as he harshly bites his lip and empties into her. Sakura’s legs tremor before they both go still, breathing hard and covered in sweat. Like something out of a movie, they both grab each other’s faces and sloppily kiss one another, overwhelmed with the afterglow.

BEEEEP!

“Dabi. The Commission is on Line Four,” Jirou’s voice sounds monotonous and irritated through the phone that Toya shoved to the floor. He growls and rolls his eyes as he breaks away from the kiss.

“Duty calls, princess,” He sighs before slowly slipping out of her, a breath of relief bursting from the both of them as they separate. Toya shakes himself back into his pants and zips them up, wiping Sakura’s juices off of the outside seams. He leans down, picking up the phone and putting it on the desk as he pulls up his rolling chair. Sakura slowly starts to sit up, scooting to the edge of the desk as she prepares to jump off and grab her panties. Swiftly, Toya stops her, smoothly inserting two fingers inside her, keeping any of the release from seeping out. Sakura freezes as he goes to pick up the phone, and he winks at her before making a “Shhh” gesture with his other hand.

BEEP!

He presses the button on the landline and picks up the phone, keeping his fingers still deep inside Sakura.

“BlueFlame Hero: Dabi, speaking. AKA The Toya Todoroki AKA The Amazing Son of Number Two Hero Endeavor AKA The Number Six on The Chart. What’s up?” He leans back in the chair, flexing his finger once and giving his wife a sideways glance as she squirms, desperately trying to be quiet.

“Yes, Dabi. Are you aware of the Summit this weekend in Hosu City? You haven’t gotten back to us about your attendance,” The voice crackles through the telephone.

“Mirko and Hawks might’ve mentioned it,” He yawns, uncaring.

“We’ve been sending you and your staff emails for the past month,” The woman explains, and Toya snorts.

“Oh, yeah. Those,” He mutters in boredom.

“So? You do understand that you are expected to attend if you wish to keep that Number Six placement, yes?” The woman deadpans, making Toya’s eyes narrow.

“I’ll be at your stupid summit. Don’t worry your pretty little head. I wouldn’t miss a chance to embarrass my Dad for the world,” He chuckles before he starts pumping his fingers in and out of Sakura, making her tightly grip the edge of the desk and spread her legs wider. He looks over his shoulder at her, a devilish grin spreading across his face as she looks at him with pleading eyes. He can’t tell if she wants him to stop or keep going, and he loves that.

“Alright, then, wonderful. We’ll be sending details to your sidekicks promptly. We look forward to seeing you there!” The voice says with faux grandeur.

“Oh, oh. One more thing. The Summit. It’s a whole weekend, right? So, are we getting fancy hotels? Is this like a just me thing, or am I allowed to bring my beautiful wife along? You know, Draconic Hero: Firebrand. Sakura Todoroki. Sister of Ryuko Tatsuma. I’m sure you’ve heard of her,” Toya winks, and the voice at the other end sighs.

“Yes, you will be staying in a hotel with all of the other Pros invited. The purpose of the Summit is to promote teamwork and set a goal for the year in terms of capturing villains and stopping the drug rings…” The woman continues to speak, but Toya ignores her, mouthing the words “Blah, blah, blah” and rolling his eyes, making Sakura laugh. Her laugh then dissolves into an involuntary loud moan as Toya intentionally curls his fingers around her G-spot.

“Did-Did you say something?” The woman suddenly stutters, seemingly flustered. A cruel smirk spreads on Toya’s face.

“Oh, nothing. I’ll be there. We done?” Toya brazenly asks.

“Y-y-yes Mister Todoroki- I mean, Dabi, sir. Yes, that’s all I needed. Goodbye,” The Commission employee stammers before the phone line goes dead.

“N-not cool,” Sakura’s voice lilts, and she glares at Toya as he slides his chair closer to her, his fingers still flexing against her sensitive spot. He pushes in deeper so his thumb can run small circles over her clit, and she sharply inhales.

“Baby girl, we both know I’m cold as ice,” He smugly replies before slowly pulling his hand out of her, making her shudder. He stares at his fingers, noting the dripping mix of their fluids, and grabs a tissue from the box on his desk. He roughly wipes off his hand before throwing the tissue in the trash bin at his feet.

“I had to make sure it got all the way inside. Can’t get a kid in you if it all seeps out, now, can we?” He chides before picking her panties up off the floor and handing them to her.

“Now. I believe these are yours?”

“Morning, team,” Toya yawns as he runs a hand through his messy white hair.

“You’re ten minutes late,” Katsuki snaps, and his friends give him a nervous look.

“To my own meeting? You can’t start without me anyways. Not like you punks have anywhere else to be,” Toya scoffs, crossing his arms.

“We didn’t have to pick your agency, you know,” Bakugo mutters under his breath, and Kirishima touches his shoulder.

“Cut it out,” He whispers to his best friend, but Bakugo flinches away.

“Listen, you’re my favorite, so I’ll give you a pass on the attitude alright. I’ll be on time for the rest of the week, I swear. I had something…important to do,” Toya smiles to himself absentmindedly tapping his foot. Kaminari snickers, and Mina and Jirou simultaneously smack him on the back of the head. The clicking of leather boots echoes in the stairwell behind Toya, and Sakura slowly emerges into the doorway, walking up behind him. She clearly is struggling to walk.

“I’ve got the reports printed out,” Sakura says flatly, handing a folder to Toya. He cracks open the folder and walks up to each sidekick, handing them a sheet of paper.

“These are your patrol zones for the day. Remember, our goal is to outdo your little friends at Hawks’ and Mirko’s agencies. If you see them, feel free to team up, but be the better hero. If you need me, just call. I’ll have my phone on me all day. I’ve got a meeting with Team Lurkers this afternoon, though. So, I probably won’t answer after four-ish. Got it?” He drones on like a tired drill sergeant.

“Yes, sir!” They all shout back, except Bakugo, who only gives an annoyed nod.

“Oh, and whoever can get an embarrassing picture of Shoto fucking up gets a dollar raise,” Toya sneers.

“What about Deku?” Bakugo raises his eyebrow.

“The Number One’s prodigy? Ehhhh, maybe like twenty-five cents,” The Pro concedes, making Bakugo smirk.

“In the bag,” The chaotic sidekick mutters under his breath as he follows his friends out of the automatic doors, leaving Toya and Sakura alone.

“You…you don’t have a meeting with Team Lurkers at all today,” Sakura points out, raising her eyebrow.

“Right. We are going to a rave with Keigo and Rumi tonight. But, don’t worry. I already promised you, no more hard drugs. But I can’t promise I won’t be doing shots with Keigo,” Toya snickers, grabbing her by the waist and kissing her on the forehead.

“In the meantime, I think we should pay dear old Dad a visit, considering he didn’t bother showing up to the wedding.”

Salvage Showcase - Kyoka

This has been a longtime coming, but here is the next Showcase on the misc Danganronpa entry front. She's lean, mean and made of green in the literal sense. The main antagonist for Kirigiriso - Kyoka!

Summary

In the true route, the Plant Girl route, Kyoka was created by the efforts of Santa Shikiba and another unknown creator with DNA off of Kyoko from a case 10 years ago mixed with DNA from an unknown lifeform that was recently discovered to contain plant and animal DNA. As a clone of Kyoko, she grew up quickly, raised in Santa's mansion, though was also quite lonely, wanting to see the outside for herself. Unfortunately, her biology had her highly allergic to the outside, meaning if she would leave, it would kill her.

During this time, other Hybrids would be created, but since they lacked proper 'nourishment' (AKA human flesh), they could not be as perfected as her. In order to help them out, Kyoka began making false requests to the Detective Library, luring in detectives before feeding them to her family in efforts to make them the same as her.

Her most recent false report, would be to lure in Kyoko Kirigiri who would arrive with a civilian named Kohei Matsudaira. Of the true route to the game, both would become aware of the history behind the mansion, avoiding being consumed by these plants there and Kohei finding her diary, would encourage him to reach out Kyoka. That all three of them can go outside together.

But, knowing she couldn't live a life knowing she killed countless to feed her family, she instead sets the house on fire while the two escape. The hybrids manage to get her body outside, before they die, but she's already dead by that point. Kyoko and Kohei bury the family before leaving.

Six months later, Kohei returns to the scene and spots a giant white flower where they buried Kyoka. A flower he mistakes for her.

In the Earth Defense Force route, a non-canon story of Kirigiriso, Kyoka is a member of Santa Shikiba's Earth Defense team against the Rhinogradentia, aliens from outer space that seek to conquer the world. When Kohei and Kyoko arrive at the mansion, they join the team and the quartet are attacked by the aliens. Ultimately, Santa sacrifices himself to burn down the mansion with the invaders in it. However, Kyoko is able to deduce soon after that Kyoka is also an alien working with the Rhinogradentia. As the True Super Galaxy Level Invader, she claims her forces are trying to save the Earth from humans. She orders her mothership to send a laser right at their location, but when Santa (who is pretty much unkillable in this route) tankts the hit since it would destroy Kyoka's sakura tree, she weeps for her Captain who she thinks is dead (he is not, again unkillable) and calls off the invasion. When Santa is revealed to be alive, she happily agrees to make him sakura tea again.

There's the non-canon joke route, Extra Scenario. ES has Kyoka as the younger adopted sister of Kyoko, looking after her sister whose been asleep many years. Kyoka urges Kohei, whose been lured in by illusions by a sleeping Kyoko, to kiss Kyoko to wake her up. This is just a dream from Kohei whose been in a car wreck.

In a non-canon alternative ending to Plant Girl, Another End, when given the chance to escape from the mansion, she takes it and becomes close to Kyoko and Kohei, living like a regular friendly girl to her new friends.

Kyoka is Kyoko's polar opposite in many ways. While Kyoko is stoic, calm, and very close off Kyoka differs by mainly being warm, highly expressive and very open to others. However, this is just surface level. Kyoka is characterized as being very callous to harboring dislike against human lives. In the Plant Girl route, she's a serial killer that feeds humans to her kind as a means to an end, wanting her kin to be just like her. For EDF, she's a spy that hates humans for their crimes against nature. Regardless of both, she's an expert manipulator and skilled in deception, able to hide her true intentions up until its either too late for her victims or when someone has the means to call her out. When exposed or in control, she's rather ruthless and has her forces attack her enemies, usually without mercy.

She isn't completely devoid of empathy to humans. In the true route, she's incredibly lonely and desires to see the world, hindered by her body preventing her from going out. When Kohei offers her to escape, she's genuinely touched, but refuses out of knowledge that she can't live normally due to her crimes. In EDF, she genuinely forms a bond with Santa and once she sees his selflessnes, is willing to call off the attack to Earth. Both routes, and Another End, show she is someone who holds potential to reform when faced with true kindness.

Rundown

Like her creator, Kyoka emobides the Kirigiriso theme of Choice - Selflessness and Selfishness.

From Kyoka's point of view, her actions are selfless. She is helping her own kind reach a state of perfection that she was only able to get because she was made from an Ultimate's DNA (...not getting into that can of worms) and just wants to see them perfected as well. This also goes for her actions in the EDF route: to her, and likely the other Rhinogradentia, she's being selfless by saving the Earth from humans who harmed it. Even in the ES joke route, she's trying to be selfless by guiding Kohei into waking up her sleeping sister.

But, in truth, her actions are dripping with Selfishness when looking outwards from a human or even morally right perspective. Kyoka is heavily prejudiced to favoring her own kin and nature, her idea of 'caring' for them involves destruction of another race entirely. Be it as a food source, or straight up genocide. She embodies love for the environment and family, but it shows that without even basic love for people as a whole it could lead someone to become a monster.

She also serves a literal inverse of Kyoko. Everything about her is designed to be the sheer opposite of her. Kyoko prefers to wear darker clothing, Kyoka is in a white dress. Kyoko is serious and brooding, Kyoka is bubbly and openly chummy with others. But its not a simple case of 'twin 'sister(?)' being peppy and the other not. It boils down to their inner character. Kyoko has shown throughout the series that she feels emotions just as much as everyone else, that she can be hurt, love, be remorseful, be sacrificial, have a strong sense of justice and struggles with balancing the expectations of being a Kirigiri with her own feelings concerning her past and the legitimate bonds she made with her friends or humanity as a whole. While she's known for her stone faced, cold front, and that's very much a part of her, its also a front for a much deeper picture.

So what happens when you have a Kyoko that's meant to be her counter? Well, that bubbly, comedic, openly emotional nature of Kyoka's is her 'front' as it were. It covers for her loneliness, her desire to explore, her want to connect, but also her deceptiveness, self-centeredness, and her twistedness from her own circumstances. A girl that is colder in life than Kyoko ever could or would be.

One front could alienate people, yet ultimately her actions are beneficial to humanity. The other brings people in, yet ultimately her actions can bring humanity's doom.

She also answers another what-if scenario about Kyoko: what happens if she never had someone to connect with while in her profession? While Kyoko was able to meet Yui and grow due to her bond with her and later meets the 78th Class who she befriends, Kyoka was quickly forced to grow up quickly without a chance to meet someone outside of her nature based kin or creators (who, more than likely, aren't the most attentive to her 'activities'). She hyperfocuses on it, to the point of going to the extremes if it meant she can benefit, at the cost of other's lives. Imagine a Kyoko who would do anything if it meant she could rank up quickly in the Detective Library, and didn't have someone to anchor her morally? It's easy to imagine her falling into letting people die if it meant gaining something from it or potentially framing someone to gain easy fame. It's something she avoids, but Kyoka presents a tragic outcome without that grounding.

Personal Thoughts

Kyoka to me is one of Danganronpa's unique and better Masterminds. While some may be...just baffled by the thought of a Kyoko clone running about (don't blame them as the concept is out there even by this series standards), I feel Kyoka works well as the game's villain. She's a tragic victim turned monster out of loneliness and no real path to take outside the mansion (Santa isn't winning best Dad awards any time soon) and, even when she's an alien in the EDF route, it works well in playing off the true route's showing of her: an extremist that would do anything for nature, even it costs people their lives.

The game does well in explaining her origins under a scientific manner than supernatural, which helps soften the blow of her nature as a clone. Furthermore, I also just think that Kirigiriso really does the 'Evil Kyoko' concept brilliantly. From how she dresses to how she acts and what she's truly up to - it was just pulled off extremely well in my eyes. She's, technically, an anti-villain since her motives are benevolent to a few, but unlike someone like Tengan (who is supposed to be that.......but fails. Miserably in the execution department), her methods of going about her goals are straightforward and why she does it like that is understandable. She's stuck in a mansion she can't really leave, luring people in with fake requests and later her friendly act is the best she can do. Her kin needs human meat as food, so of course she has to kill people and deceive them to do it. She has no way else to help them or help herself.

She's someone boxed in to really only picking the worst options in life, and its a tragedy like that and the what-if she holds, that has me really loving her. Also, I really like her more comedic, yet still just as threatening, portrayals in the EDF route (with her connection to Santa) and the ES route got some laughs from me. Kyoka's just a character that I think people should at least give a chance to read about and really makes Kirigiriso work.

Solicitudes

Presentación de mi perfil, lo que escribo, reglas.

¡Hola pequeña personita! Me presento, soy deadolloading aún que pueden decirme Joven D, Doll, Dolly o como gustes. Mis pronombres son She/Her/Him, ¡Pero puedes decirme como sea!

Mi blog es totalmente en contenido en español, esto es debido a que no se mucho de inglés y hasta que no lo aprenda en su totalidad, no haré contenido en inglés.

El contenido de mi perfil apunta específicamente a todo lo relacionado con fanfics, pequeños escritos míos, etc. Igualmente los fanfics van del famoso Character x Reader o como el famoso Character x T/N.

Personas de cualquier edad, genero, creencia o nacionalidad ¡Es completamente bienvenido! Ya que mi contenido va para todo público ya que me incomoda escribir cualquier cosa NSFW, por lo que todo mi contenido es SFW, en caso de ser lo contrario se pide que no interactúen con esa publicación.
