Crazy that Thorn is kinda sold and advertised as a brooding bad boy who doesn’t care but is just deeply autistic /ocd and cares so much it might actually kill him, and he’s so desperately in love with Ophelia that it has him acting unwise and trying to pick fights with deity’s and that’s the plot

It always makes me feel a bit sad when I see people fancasting Tom Hiddleston or other conventionally attractive actors for Thorn. Cause in all 4 books, Thorn is never once described as handsome or charming or anything like that. He’s tall, he’s cold, he has dozens of scars, he never smiles, he’s uptight, he has zero social skills, nobody likes him. And honestly that’s what makes this character appealing. There are so many fictional love interests out there who are cute and charming and funny. I think we can have one guy who’s unpleasant and scary looking. As a treat.
