Best Christmas ever! (Dwayne x Fem!Reader)
I'M BAAAAAAAACK!!
So this idea hit me when I read these prompts and I couldn't resist writing it. It seems I am a sucker for Christmas themed stories with Dwayne and Laddie lol. This is kinda in the same universe as "When you're unaware" since it mentions a brother who owns a truck
late night drives to see all the christmas lights in the neighborhood

Pairing: Dwayne x Fem!Reader

"The Carter's still got the biggest light display back home?" Your brother asked as you walked down the boardwalk to meet up with the boys, it had only been about five months since you had met them and already you couldn't picture your life without the rowdy group.
"Oh yeah, every year Jenny is adding something new. I think now it's a competition between them and the Gonzalez family that moved in down at the old Jackson place, they go all out too"
"I remember how pissed George used to get when mom would get dad to decorate"
"Yeah times that by a hundred and you now know the first Christmas after the Gonzalez's moved in" you laughed just as you caught sight of the boys.
"Y/N!" Laddie called, running down the boardwalk to hug you.
"Hey sweetie! Having fun so far?"
"Paul took me on the rollercoaster and Dwayne got me cotton candy" he smiled up at you.
"Hopefully in that order right?" You laughed.
"Paul knows better" Dwayne nodded earning a 'Hey!' from the blonde vamp.
"So what were you two discussing?" David asked while Paul passed a blunt to your brother.
"The families that go all out for Christmas back home"
"Should have seen this one, I swear they must spend a grand a day in electric with how many lights they have" your brother told them.
"Whoa really?" Laddie asked, now invested in the conversation.
"Oh yeah, think of like every light on the boardwalk but on just one house" you laughed.
"Paired with light up animatronics of Santa, reindeer, and snowmen" your brother finished.
"That is so cool!"
"It really was" your brother nodded.
"It definitely made Christmas" you smiled
"That it did"
"I will admit, I'm gonna miss not seeing it this year...I feel like it's not Christmas time until you see the lights"
"Yeah I know what you mean, it's childhood"
"But I get to spend this Christmas with you so I'm happy!" You smiled, leaning down and grabbing Laddie in a bear hug, listening to the smallest vampire laugh, unknown of the eyes that were watching the scene unfold with a soft smile, and a plan forming in his head.
It had been a couple weeks since then, the boardwalk had decked itself out even more for the Christmas season with various lights and window displays, but that wasn't what Dwayne wanted you to see that night when he pulled up to your house. He parked his bike in the garage, Laddie jumping off the back to go get you while he grabbed the keys to your brother's truck. He had already told him his plan, so he had offered his vehicle since it would be able to fit the three of you, and because he kept it at your house instead of at the cave near the ocean air. He watched you stumble out, quite literally, due to Laddie dragging you, he may only be half vamp but he was still stronger than a human. A bag of homemade cookies in one hand and a smile on your face as you gained your balance.
"I have been retrieved" you laughed, making your way over to him.
"I also come baring goods, but please kind sir, why have I been fetched from my kitchen?"
"Because fair maiden, we are going for a drive" he smiled, holding up your brother's keys, which caused you to raise an eyebrow.
"Come on!" Laddie cheered, pulling you towards the old truck before you could say anything, you laughed as you helped him up into the cab, before getting in once he settled in the middle of the bench seat, Dwayne soon getting in and starting up the old girl. You weren't sure what he had in mind, but you knew he wouldn't do anything reckless, not only was he not that type, but he also had Laddie in the vehicle, your brother's vehicle at that. He drove for a while before you found yourself in a more populated part of town, but not as populated as the boardwalk area, more of the suburban type of place...And that's when you saw them.
Lights were strung up on just about every house, in ever color, and every shape. Some houses had full blown Christmas trees out front while others had the wire reindeers. Some had Santa on the roof while others had the classic blowmolds that looked like they had been passed down for generations.
It was Christmas.
Dwayne smiled as he watched you and Laddie stare in awe at the houses, the radio softly playing a Christmas station while he drove slowly. Laddie had already dug into your cookies as he offered them both one with a smile.
"This is so...magical" you smiled.
"This street continues on into the next town, they do this every year. I always take Laddie to see it" he explained.
"It's my favorite part of Christmas! When we heard you talking about missing the lights Dwayne wanted to show you too!" Laddie spoke around a mouthful of cookie. You tried not to tear up as you looked over at the man who held a soft smile while looking at the two of you, his two favorite people he concluded.
"Thank you, this is the best Christmas ever" you spoke softly. He simply nodded as he watched Laddie curl up against you, pointing excitedly to his favorite displays. He couldn't agree more.
'Best Christmas ever'
Tumblr media
I'm so happy with how this came out! Short but sweet lol. I really do lean towards Dwayne and Laddie for Christmas stories 😂. I hope everyone enjoyed it!

I am having thoughts on Laddie tonight.
If he became a full vampire I don’t think it would be a tragic Claudia situation where his mind ages but his body does not. The catchphrase is: never grow old, never die. I think he would just be ten forever. Mentally, and physically ten. And that he would never mind, beyond the vague desire to be like his big brothers.
“I want always to be a little boy and to have fun.” - Peter Pan, J. M. Barrie
I also think that the Boys would not see anything wrong with this. They’re not human, and they don’t have the ‘oh but he’ll never get to have x experience’ feelings of regret. All of them are, imho, in a state of arrested development. Which is why the ‘party all night’ teenage delinquency thing has not grown stale for any of them. Like, the whole film is based off Peter Pan, them not growing up and maturing is the entire point lol
Paul and Dwayne are the only two we see interacting with Laddie, and they clearly don’t mind having the little guy around. They’re nice to him and they play around with him. He’s their kid brother. Sure, he might cramp their style a bit while they go off to do things more suited to their mental age, but that doesn’t mean he’s not part of the family.
So yeah, I’m disagreeing with some stuff I’ve come across in fanfics where the Boys never wanted a kid around, or that he was Max’s idea, or that they only brought him in to keep Star happy. Or that he became a half-vampire by accident. Nah, they brought him on purpose. mho
Laddie is a Lost Boy. Or he would have been.

I love the fact that even though Star's the one that takes care of Laddie the most, we've all collectively agreed that Dwayne is his "parent"
Like she works hard to keep him human and safe the whole movie, but one motorcycle ride on the back of Dwayne's bike has us all saying "ah yes, that's clearly his father. Hello, DILF"

Milk carton Laddie but I don't think the boys took him.
I think they found him.
Tumblr media
I think Laddie was kidnapped in the horrible, more typical way, and the boys, or possibly Star, found his discarded body. But he hadn't quite died yet, and that's why they changed such a young kid.
It doesn't make sense that they would, on their own accord, decide that they just had to have a really little brother. Laddie's age stands out amongst the group of them, he hangs with them, and loves them, but body and mind he is younger, and wouldn't be able to keep up with their pace as easily. Just, logistically, logically, it's more difficult having such a younger, smaller person around, who would need things so much different than the rest of them.
But they love him. They make those allowances for him. They dont act as though having him around is burdensome, or unwanted, or just something they're doing for no reason. They look after him and take care of him and make sure he doesn't trip or fall, and that he (and Star) have nice, comfortable places to sleep. He has a stuffed animal. They include him, but they still shield him from the heavy, intense side of vampirism.
They didn't plan on turning Laddie, and they didn't hunt him out.
They rescued him.

THE WHITE NOISE PT.2 ||
PT.I HERE PT.III HERE
THE LOST BOYS X GN!READER
A/N: If you haven’t seen poltergeist—you should watch it (the 1982 film). Side note, I know it’s not in the order of the film but so what.
WARNING(S): cussing, implied/mentions of taken and or missing child. Lmk if there’s more.
Tumblr media
“The boys.”
The boys?
“Who are the boys, Lad?” You question, nerves making their way into your system.
Nothing.
“Laddie. Who are the boys?” You tired to keep a tone as you repeated the question, though you caught yourself wavering when you spoke. Now, you were getting concerned.
The child only went back to look at the screen, nothing but statics to see, as the noise settled throughout the room. You released a unsteady breath, not sure what to make of the matter or the words Laddie spoke. Rubbing your face, your hands then take the remote.
“Why don’t we turn this off, huh? It’s late. You should be sleeping.” Pressing the button, the tv shut off and the room, quiet.
The next morning, it only seemed to get worse. Well, at least from a more smaller perspective. Little things here and there that never by you.
It was seen first when the utensils were…out of shape. Quite literally. Bent, warped, and overall just not their usual form. Cupboards open on their own.
Then there was the glasses. Laddie had requested some more milk later that day and when setting it in front of him—it shattered. And the chairs, while they weren’t necessarily stacked on top of the other like that week, they were moved from their spots under the table. You kept having to put them back and we’re constantly asking Laddie the same repetitive questions of if he moved them. Thinking that his answer would change, but of course, it was the usual.
‘They did it.’
Eventually, you just stopped asking. So each time something happened, it resulted you to looking at the child and then giving that once over as if to say ‘the boys?’ only to have him nod in confirmation.
While it may have been stunning to begin with, you were now growing concerned by how often they happened. If they were here, why is it they only seemed to be more present when Laddie was near?
You remember asking him one time if he could see them, which got you some hesitation before you received a response.
“No. Can you?” The child queried and you shook your head. Maybe he couldn’t see them that time but you were curious to know if in general he could.
It went on for the next few days, the later hours were even more questionable.
You were in the kitchen, leaned up on the counter with the window opened as you smoked. Laddie had been tucked into bed an hour ago and was probably out like a light by now.
You were thinking if you should have someone come by to check in or even leave temporarily but until Laddie’s parents got back, that wasn’t really an option. You had asked the neighbors early that week if they had experienced any....disturbances, but you only received judged looks in return.  You weren’t sure what the hell to do anymore.
You rubbed your temples, feeling your head begin to hurt. It was too much to think about, too much to handle. Stubbing the bud of the cigarette, you went to leave the kitchen, turning off the lights so you could head to bed.
Halfway up the staircase, you stopped. The sudden sound of the floor creaking never went by your ears, and then you heard it. Or them. They were chuckling, in a manner that left the hairs on your neck standing, and they only got louder the further you went into the house.
You kept turning your head, trying to see where exactly they were at, but it was as if they were everywhere. Upstairs, to the side of you, mouthing by your ear—everywhere. Bringing your hands to your ears to cover them, trying to block it out when they suddenly stopped.
Though the quiet hadn’t lasted. The sudden sounds of motorcycles could be heard outside.
Since when has that happened? In the month or so you had been here, you’ve never heard them before. Whether they lived here or not, it wasn’t a frequent thing to hear, especially this late. You could see the lights of the bikes through the curtains of the window, lighting up the entirety of the room.
Then remembering who was just up the stairs—they were going to wake up Laddie.
Heading to the door, you pulled it open but what was there was not what you would’ve expected to see.
It was just the street, empty, with no sign of presence. To be honest, you couldn’t even hear them anymore. It had gone silent the second the door opened. Furrowing your brows, you stared confusingly.
What the hell was that?
Upstairs, Laddie was in bed, perched up against the wall. He had heard it too, heard them. They were talking to him. The child was mulling over if he should look for you, but when the closet door creaked and slowly opened, he couldn’t help but forget what was at thought—pulling himself to the end of the bed to get a look at what caused it.
He stared into the closet, nothing in sight but the few boxes that were kept there for storage and some extra sheets that were shelved. But as he looked, he could see just to the corner, was a teddy bear. It was brown and a little scuffed up, probably due to the time it had been there—the house was years old so it could be understood.
It was in question if Laddie should take it. It wasn’t his to touch nor was it very well mannered to just look through other people’s belongings—it was just tempting not to though.
‘Take it Laddie.’
The child could hear them but he had yet to see them. At least then of course. When you had questioned him the other week, he lied, telling you that they weren’t there and that he couldn’t see them. But the truth was—he could. They happened to be there, urging him to not utter a thing. It was only to be between them. Nobody else.
It wasn’t known but the boys had taken a liking to the child.
Laddie couldn’t listen to more of their repetition—getting up, he goes to get the stuffed toy.
There was a sudden shift, and before you know it, the child was holding onto the bedpost as he was being pulled. There was stuff flying ‘cross the room, being sucked into the unknown. Laddie tried shouting out to you, but it was as if he couldn’t move his mouth.
It went quiet again, the sudden shift stopped and the room went still. The child nowhere in sight, and the only thing that could be seen was the teddy bear on the floor in front of the closet which was now shut.
They weren’t just suddenly here. The boys. It was like they had been waiting? Maybe it was why the house was on the market as long as it was and why it happened to be let go so quickly and willing. Sure, these must have been happening previous to you being there but was it ever to this extent? You we’re going to have to speak with the seller, because it was never put on the table when you signed the papers.
You were so confused honestly.
Shutting the door, you lean against it, trying to think—trying to make sense of what was going on.
Where had they been coming from then if they weren’t really there? Were you sleeping or was it real?
Sighing, you rub your face. Figuring you were just not getting enough sleep, as of lately, and went back upstairs. Just as you were going to head to your room, you stopped when you thought to check on Laddie.
The door was cracked, like how you left it. But upon opening it, there was a sudden tug at your chest.
The child was nowhere in sight. Nowhere to be seen. And the room—was utterly fucked.
You tried not to think too much into it. ‘He probably got up to use the bathroom.’ So turning heel, you head down the hall. The light wasn’t on and when knocking, you were only met with no answer. You turned the knob and peak in but it was empty. No sign of presence or something to let you know he had been there.
Okay, now you were getting concerned. The fear creeping in as you began running back and forth throughout the house, checking each and every room, any little crevice he could’ve nudged his way through or into—shouting out to the 11 year old.
“Laddie?”
Nothing. You look in the kitchen, maybe he got some milk—
No.
“It ain’t funny bud, come on.” When you still got no response in return, you yelled.
“Laddie, it’s late and you shouldn’t be up! Come on out, no more of this!”
You felt the tears fleeing when there was still nothing. Your chest suddenly felt tight, and you breaths were coming out uneven.
Where the hell was he?
You knew Laddie wouldn’t just leave. As much as you thought of the many things the child could get up to, none of them seemed to be settling well with you because you knew none of them were true. He wasn’t like that.
“Laddie!” You cry out.
Nothing.
But then you heard it. Heard him.
It was downstairs. Running, or more of fuckin leaping over to skip the steps, you stopped at the bottom trying to listen again. When you heard no word, you called out.
“Lad?”
“Y/N.”
Trudging down the hall and turning the corner, you were met with the living room, greeted by the television and its statics.
You weren’t quite sure if you remember it even being on when you were in the kitchen earlier but it wasn’t necessarily something to be focused on now. You checked the room, seeing that he wasn’t in there you went to leave and go look further when you stopped—hearing the voice.
“Y/N.”
You turned back ‘round, studying the room once more. You just heard him in here, but there was no sign of him.
Suddenly looking to the television and slowly making your way to it. The statics settled throughout the stilled and quiet room, its noise filling your ears. With your head leaned to the side and furrowing your brows, your hands go up to rest against it.
It was tingling. Almost like it was breathing underneath your palms. Sighing you went to get up but just as you got to your feet, you heard it.
His voice.
“Y/N.”
Your mouth parted and your eyes went wide, slowly sitting back down in front of the television. There were so many questions but none of them seemed like they could be answered to with certainty.
“Laddie?”
A/N: I swear the boys will be more in the next part, when and if, that is to be released.
feedback and reblogs are appreciated.

Bad Influence
A silly fic inspired by a chat in the notes from a post from @themarginalthinker . The Boys have potty mouths; Laddie picks up on this. Also on AO3
-x-
Paul was the best at scoring the good shit, so the rest of them parked up outside the arcade while he ventured inside to see what was on offer. Dwayne could see him from here chatting to a boy waiting in line for a turn at Pac-Man, an arm around his shoulders.
The rest of them had parked up outside while they waited for him, Marko chewing at a loose thread on one of his gloves as he watched Paul cozy up to the dealer. David and Star were sharing a cigarette, David taking a pull and then holding it up to her lips. Dwayne drummed his fingers on the handlebars of his bike, watching Laddie play pinball.
The pinball machine was sci-fi themed, with green bulb-headed aliens and little disc-shaped spaceships that lit up and chimed and made pew pew noises every time the ball bounced off one of them. Green lights flashed frantically as Laddie mashed at the buttons, but as the ball fell between the flippers, the aliens’ eyes blared red and the machine made a flatulent blat of disappointment.
Laddie scowled at the machine and slapped the console in disappointment. “Fuck,” he said in his childish voice.
At first Dwayne thought that his enhanced hearing had failed him, but the sound of chuckling erupting from behind him and Star’s sharp exclamation of, “Laddie!” put paid to that.
The little guy looked over at Star innocently. “What?”
“You mustn’t say that,” Star scolded him.
“Why not?” Laddie protested. “You guys say it all the time.” A smile tugged at his mouth, a haven’t-I-been-naughty-and-isn’t-it-fun kind of look. His face had lit up at his older brothers’ obvious amusement.
“You’re nine years old,” she said, glaring disapprovingly at the boys for encouraging him. Marko screwed up his face in an exaggerated impression of her scowl, which made David let out an honest to god snort. “Swearing is a sign of a limited vocabulary,” she added, turning away from her companion huffily.
“I’ll have you know my vocabulary is extensive,” Marko protested. “I can call someone a cunt in five languages.”
Laddie immediately perked up. “What’s a—”
“It’s a word Marko will keep out of his goddamn mouth if he doesn’t want me to ram a bar of soap down his throat hard enough for it to shoot out of his ass,” Dwayne declared, eyeing the other boy with a forbidding expression. Age made vampires stronger, but the gap had to be a century or two before it started to matter. Marko might be older, but he could and would end him if he didn’t buck his ideas up, and he had no issue with broadcasting this thought into the other vampire’s mind.
“Whoa, chill.” Marko held up his hands in the universal sign of surrender, no longer laughing.
“Star’s right little man,” Dwayne said now, looking at Laddie seriously. “You shouldn’t be swearing. You have to be at least twelve before you can say words like that,” he added, missing the way Star’s approving look at his support melted into an expression of exasperation.
Laddie scuffed the toe of his shoe against the ground, face sulky. “Sorry.”
“It’s cool,” Dwayne said immediately. “And it’s our fault anyway. We’ve all got to cut back on the cursing.” Laddie was just a kid, and way too impressionable. They were meant to be taking care of him, not messing him up.
“Yup and while we’re at it we’re all going to church this Sunday,” David snarked. “I better dig out a suit.”
Dwayne ignored the remark. “Every time someone swears around Laddie it’s ten bucks in the swear jar.”
“The swear jar? For fuck’s sake, Dwayne—”
Wordlessly, Dwayne turned to face his leader and held out his palm. For a moment the two of them stared one another down, thoughts streaming between their minds. Dwayne’s were heavy with memories of another little boy he’d been responsible for, a little boy who was buried in another state in an unmarked grave. He didn’t mean to be maudlin, but it had the desired effect.
David sighed quietly and dug into his pocket for a roll of bank notes, peeling off a ten and slapping it down into Dwayne’s palm.
Dwayne tucked it away in his jacket, satisfied.
At that moment, Paul came back out of the arcade with a grin on his face. “We got some molly bitches. Let’s get shitfaced tonight motherfuckers!”
Marko clicked his tongue. “Such foul language, Paul. You should be ashamed.”
“Extremely ashamed,” David said, shaking his head. “Give Dwayne thirty bucks right now.”
“What the fuck for?”
“Forty bucks. For the swear jar.”
“Swear jar?” Paul echoed, looking at them both in obvious bafflement. “What fucking swear jar?”
“Fifty,” Star counted, resting her chin on David’s shoulder, arms loosely encircling his middle.
“We’re setting a good example,” Dwayne explained, nodding his head towards Laddie. “Now.” He held out his hand.
“Pay up.”

Dating Dwayne would Include.....
This was requested by @justsomeomehere sorry it took so long! I just took a step back from tumblr for a little bit
Tumblr media
Boyfriend of the year award goes go the one and only.
He can be just as crazy as the other boys can. But like a calm crazy if you know what I'm saying.
Is very in tune with your feelings and partically knows if something is wrong with you.
Takes you out on nice little dates like local diners, arcades, walks on the beach, or even having the cave all to himself for a while.
Dwayne is definitely likes to read so on some days you two don't feel like going out he would read to you (and 99% of the time you fall asleep due to how soothing his voice sounds)
Getting close to Laddie and him seeing you as an older sibling/parent.
Warms Dwaynes heart to see you playing with Laddie, makes him fall in love with you even more.
Likes to hold eye contact with you.
Touch is his way of showing love.
He would hold your hand, backhug you, rest his head in your neck.
Loves to stay at the cave or at home and just watch movies on the TV they stole bought.
Leaves little poems for you to find.
If you are having a bad day he would just bring you in his arms and let you sob it out if you need to.
Listens to anything and everything you say. So if you mention something that you like, you bet your ass it's gonna to appear right infront of you.
You guys rarely get into arguments, sure you will have some disagreements but yall won't have a full on screaming match
If he makes you mad he would want to make up with you asap. But will give you space if you need it and will just sulk in the corner until you are ready to talk.
If by chance you make him made he will give you the silent treatment. And it will hurt seeing him give you the silent treatment. But you are rarely the source when he is mad so we all good.
Did I mention the sex? ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC the dick is definitely a 10 out of 10
Very sensual, and romantic sexy time with him BUT don't underestimate him he can and will go rough with you 😉
Definitely drinks from you but doesn't take a lot.
When it came to telling you what he was he was SCARED
Like he was terrified that you would be scared of him and leave him.
It took a lot of courage for him to show/tell you. And he cried when you stayed with him anyway.
He doesn't kill around you unless the situation calls for it (like hunters, other vampires, humans in general etc.)
Yall definitely have a place that only you two know about. Like a little paradise for you two.
Takes you on midnight rides on his bike.
Builds you a nest in the cave so you can spend the night and sleeps with you in it.
When you get sick he will worry, like a lot but since he has dealt with Laddie being sick he can help you feel better too:)
MOMMA DWAYNE ACTIVATED.
He hasn't been human in a loooonnngg time so of course he is going to worry and be scared for a little bit. But he will try his best. He will go to the store and get what you need, and will make some home remedies that he remembers his mother used to give him when he got sick.
Laddie will help to since you have been with Dwayne long enough to help Laddie when he got sick
Laddie is such a sweet boy.
David will be suspicious of you in the beginning cuz he doesn't want you to break Dwayne's unbeating heart (it's been broken before but we don't talk about that-)
Which he tells him to back off a little bit (ciz David is fucking intimidating ok?)
You will get close to the boys and they will view you as a sister as time goes buy.
Then came the topic of you becoming a vampire
He would respect your wishes if you wanted to stay human but he would just be heartbroken knowing that kne day he would have to see you die.
It took you some time to think wheather or not you wanted to become a vampire.
But with Dwayne, living forever didn't seem so bad :)
So when the time came you dranked from the bottle and had your first kill. Dwayne helped you eith your new reborn life.
