You can do this, lady.
Deeeep breaths.
I knock on Seb’s door.
“Come in,” he murmurs.
Sounds like he’s not at his PC for a change; it’s confirmed when I enter and see him sprawled across the black couch to my left. There’s some soft synthwave playing from his computer, and he’s putting aside a comic book he was reading through before I arrived. He looks sleepy as he graces me with a cute, lazy grin that I can’t help but return.
“Brace yourself, bitch,” I warn him.
“What?” I put my bag and phone down, then dramatically flop my body on top of his, my cheek landing on his chest and my legs tangled with his own. “Oof.”
Now, rip the bandaid off!
“I… M-Magnus and I got jiggy–”
“Oh, hell yeah.”
“–and I didn’t know how to tell you so I’m distracting myself from the immensely strange feelings I’m having by crushing you like small bug.”
I squirm around a bit, making sure to add as much extra weight to my boyfriend as I can. His right arm splays across my upper back, while he giggles beneath me.
Then, I dig my face into the small gap between his left arm and his body to the best of my ability.
Then, I start crying.
“Whoa, gettin’ my pit wet.”
“Sorry.” I sniff, putting my face back where it was when I pounced.
“What’s up, baby?” Seb murmurs, petting my hair with the hand that was on my back.
“I know you’ve both consented but it’s still so fucking hard not to feel weird.”
“So let’s make it less weird,” he laughs. He lifts my face so that my chin rests on his chest as I look up at him behind teary eyes. “Gimme the hot deets.”
I raise a brow. “The hot deets?”
“Yep. How was he?”
My face flares before I tuck it back onto Seb’s shirt. My runny nose is squishing against his sternum. “Good…”
“Just good?”
Sighing, I shrug, before I timidly admit, “...Really good.”
“Good, he’d better be with all those years under his belt.”
“Allegedly,” I stick a finger up for emphasis, “he’s young for his race,” I half-assedly defend our mutual friend.
“I’m sure he is,” Seb quips back, “but more than a century is more than a century.”
While using the same finger I had elevated to poke him lightly on the arm, I say, “You’re doing awfully well for yourself, considering you’ve got several hundred less years of experience.” I sniffle. “Good job, buddy.” I flatten my hand and pat his bicep to emphasize my point.
“So, threesome?”
Unable to tell if Seb is joking or not, I giggle, before sarcastically replying, “Yeah, okay.”
He slants his lips in faux (?!) disappointment. “Damn.”
Still can’t tell if he’s being silly or not… I kiss the weird look off him.
“You wanna come with me to see him later?” I murmur.
“For a threesome?”
I snort and roll my eyes. “Sebastian.”
“Kidding.” Truly can’t tell… “What for, though?” he asks.
I shrug. “If you wanna get into – or exposed to – magic again, why not start now?”
Eyes trained on the piece of my hair that he’s twirling beneath his fingers, Seb sighs, subtly nodding. “Fair point. I guess I could try.”
A cozy moment of silence passes.
“...So like, is he even under the gay umbrella?” I quietly wonder aloud.
“Fuck if I know.” Seb stares up at the ceiling as he reminisces, “I didn’t really try busting a move when I was last spending time with him, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to.”
I laugh. “I had a feeling you had it bad for him too, based on how you’ve spoken about the guy.”
“Yeah,” Seb responds dreamily. “He’s so hot.”
“So hot…” I poke Seb’s chin, and he looks back down at me. “Considering Magnus is trying to human again, how do you think the others are gonna react to our situation when they find out?”
“Most of the older adults around here will probably hate it,” he notes, “so it’s best we don’t let them in on this.” Then he adds, “I mean, my mom might be safe to be honest, ‘cause she just wants me to be happy. It would probably be risky to tell her this early though.”
“Yeah… What about, like, Sam? Feels shitty that he’s been so openly into me, and now he has to watch me have two boyfriends.” I correct myself, “Or… one boyfriend and one lover, or something? I don’t fuckin’ know.” I shake my head slightly. “Magnus and I haven't made things ‘official’ yet.”
“I can break the news, if you want.”
“No,” I shake my head and pout. “I mean, I’d appreciate it if you could be there, but I feel like he should hear it from me just as much as from you.”
“You sure you wanna see the lil’ guy cry like that?”
“Sebbyyyy,” I whine. “Don’t make me feel worse…”
“Sorry, I was just kidding.”
“No you weren’t.”
“No I wasn’t.” He winks at me. I bite his chin. It’s so sharp. “Ouch.”
“Get got, nerd.”
I roll onto my back, still laying on Seb. He wraps his arms around my tummy as I scootch up, digging my face into the left side crook of his neck. “...I wonder if Magnus would be into a threesome.”
Seb snorts. “Only one way to find out.”
“I don’t want him to feel pressured, though.” I kiss Seb’s jawline, just under his earlobe. “Don’t want you to feel weird seeing it either.”
“I’d probably be doing just as much with him as with you, if you’d both let me.” I nod, confirming it. “I think it would be a fair trade.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“Unless you’d feel weird,” Seb tacks on.
I think for a moment… Would I?
I picture it: Seb and Magnus kissing. Both of them kissing me, in separate places. All four of their hands on me…
Oh.
My cheeks heat up and I squirm a little to ground myself. “I wouldn’t feel weird, no…”
Seb whispers, “You just got yourself all riled up, didn’t you?”
I don’t answer.
“(Y/n),” he sings my name, low and slow. Makes me shudder.
I mutter an incoherent apology into his skin, doing my best to hide my face. Seb scruffs up my hair a little, before gently yanking it close to my scalp so that I’m in his view. I reactively squeak, and he slants himself into a position that’s gotta be uncomfy just to absorb the sound with a kiss. A completely horny sigh escapes me as I let him toy with my lips, smooching and tugging at them all he wants.
“When were you planning on heading over there?” he murmurs against me.
“Mm–” I chuckle, attempting to separate myself so that I can cohesively answer my partner’s question. “I dunno. Aside from… yesterday... uh...” I pause, trying to find the words I’m looking for. My cheeks darken, and Seb knowingly smirks. “Aside from yesterday’s happenings,” I settle, “we did do a lot of really boring work. Trying to give myself more of a breather today by heading there later than usual.”
“Fine by me.” Seb tugs me back against him, and I happily oblige.
Next, he’s pulling me further atop him, straddling his hips. His hands roam my sides as I slip my tongue between his lips, making as much contact as I possibly can with the man. Unfortunately, as a familiar ache grows in my lower belly, I’m reminded of the aching inside of me too. Shit.
“Um…” I interrupt. Seb hums inquisitively. “So, like… I’m kinda sore…” I hide my face in his neck for the upteenth time today.
“Was he too rough with you?” I can’t see Seb’s face, but I can almost hear the frown.
I shake my head. “I all but asked for it, but like…” I squeak again, before admitting, “He’s, like… huge.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah…”
“Did he take care of you?”
I nod, reminiscing of our post-romp activities:
After some kissing and cuddling, Magnus helped me get cleaned up. He ran a bath for me, which he enchanted so that it would soothe any aches I was dealing with; and while I was in there, he made us a late lunch, so that we could continue our work whenever we both felt up to it.
I was pretty tuckered out, so I wound up just watching him work, occasionally internalizing whatever he taught me about what he was doing. By nightfall, I figured I had it in me to get back to the book I was starting to flip through earlier in the day. I got super immersed in the text, escaping to the front lawn after finishing about a quarter of it to try and experiment with some minor and Magnus-approved spells.
The whole time, he made sure to periodically check on me. He offered potions, which I rejected, hoping that the bath would’ve been enough (I’m realizing today it wasn’t); and offered to give me a massage, which I also rejected, not wanting to keep him from his duties.
The wizard took about as much care of me as I let him, and then some, which was super cool given that I didn’t expect him to be the type to coddle anyone.
“Yeah, he did great with that, actually,” I admit.
Seb grumbles, “I’d be kinda pissed off if he didn’t.”
I look at him again, and he’s very pouty. I kiss his jaw, then his cheek. “Magnus has been really good to me. Super patient, too,” I promise. “You’re both amazing, I feel so lucky to have had such a weird situation work out like this.” I kiss the corner of Seb’s mouth. “I love you so much,” I tack on, before finally meeting his lips.
“Do you think you love him?” he softly wonders after we pull apart.
Scanning Seb’s face, I nod, then chirp out my affirmation. To my surprise – which I supposed is misplaced, considering how kind and understanding Seb’s been throughout all this stuff – he smiles warmly. “I figured.” My boyfriend then admits, “I did too, once.”
A gremlin-like laugh makes its way out of me. “I shoulda known it was more than a crush.”
“Read me like a book?”
“Oh yeah.” I come clean and add, “I mean, I was skeptical, I guess, but some signs were there.”
“Whatever, smartass.”
I blow a raspberry at him. He bites my tongue, emitting a small and playful growl as he does so, causing me to quickly retract. “Ow!”
“Shoulda kept that thing to yourself. That’s payback for getting my chin earlier.”
Rolling my eyes, I hop off of Seb, then offer a hand to help him up. He lazily accepts, putting very little effort into getting up; purposefully flopping around limply rather than making way onto his feet.
I observe, “You’re like a dead fish.”
“I’m tired…”
The statement reminds me how late he was up working. After leaving Magnus’ late last night, I offered for Seb to come over and work on his laptop at my house, so he’d at least have some company. He was super hyper-focused though, and knew he’d get too off-track if he were to stop, so we settled for staying on the phone with each other until I fell asleep.
I successfully avoided telling him about The Sex, wanting to wait until I saw him in person. I was lucky to be able to get it done today. Dude’s been coding like craaazy lately.
“Want some coffee?” I offer the sleepy man.
Seb fucking moans, prompting a giggle from me. “Please.”
I bribe him in a singy voice, “You’ll get coffee if you get up,” knowing he’ll probably be a little more energized if he stops laying down too.
Finally rising, Sebastian feigns disgust, shaking his head with a snarl on his plush lips. “Oh, you play dirty, (y/l/n).” He straightens out his shirt – a gray henley, with the sleeves rolled up, as they often tend to be unless he’s in one of his signature hoodies – then reaches for my hair, giving me a soft pat on the head. “C’mon, ya little shit.”
_______________
Seb put his coffee in a travel cup, meaning we were able to head over to the wizard’s tower right away. I wanted to stall some more, but the more he thought about the arcane again, the more eager Seb grew to dive back into things straight away. To compromise, we took the longer route, walking through town and past Marnie’s, Leah’s, and then Andy’s houses as well as that broken down shack closer to the edge of the cliff.
It still looks pretty fucked up, but I could’ve sworn I saw a figure in the window - something animal-like, with big round ears. It freaked me out a little, and I kinda wanted to investigate, but I refrained. Maybe I was just seeing shit.
The cold chill had Seb and I snuggling up shoulder-to-shoulder, and the majority of the trip was spent in silence, simply enjoying each other’s presence alongside the beautiful views of the valley. It was nice. Reminded me that I should probably go for walks just to do it more often, rather than only leaving home with a set destination in mind. I mean, now that I’m not in the shitty and shady corner of a huge city, I’m no longer putting my safety at risk by doing that.
As we approach the tower’s front steps, I slow to a halt; my thoughts are racing at the idea of being in the same room as two people who I’m very much in love with, who have very little association in that regard with one another.
What if Magnus wants to greet me with a kiss?
Or what if Seb wants to loop an arm around me while we’re being taught something?
What if I get flustered by being around both of them, and they both see it or feel it or whatever, and I can’t do anything but just accept their silent assessments of me, therefore getting even more flustered, and–
“What’s up?”
When I peer up, Seb’s looking at me with a worried expression. His brows are furrowed as he studies me, knowing something is up.
“I’m… I’m just nervous.”
“Think about what I said earlier,” he commands, beginning his ascent of the stairs. I jog up the first few to catch up to him.
“What?”
“Remember when I was like, ‘Let’s make things less weird,’ or whatever?”
“Mhm,” I confirm.
“Let’s keep that goin’, alright?” Sensing that I’m not following, Seb continues, “If things get weird, or you just feel weird, let’s make things less weird.”
I squint. “The fuck are you on about?”
“What do you mean?“ he asks incredulously, as if he’s making perfect sense.
“Like, how do we just make things less weird when there’s a whole other person with us?”
“Move on from it.”
“Move on from… huh?!” I whisper to myself before complaining to Seb, “It’s not that simple.” I cringe, adding, “Also, this is fucking corny. Sounds like some teen sitcom or soap opera-ass logic.”
“But it works.”
“How do you know–” mid question, Seb knocks on the door. “Oh god damn you…” I sigh, “Degrassi -sounding motherfucker...”
He winks at me.
“Come in,” Magnus shouts from inside.
“Does he even know you’re here? I didn't think to tell him,” I murmur to Seb as he twists the knob.
My boyfriend nods. “I relayed the idea over to him on our walk.”
“I thought that shit drained you,” I observe as the two of us enter. I begin taking off my zip-up hoodie, as Seb removes his black leather jacket from his own shoulders.
“It does.” He lifts his hand and subtly shakes his coffee cup.
“Coffee replenishes mana…?”
“Anything can, as far as I remember. Shit varies from being to being, or something like that.”
“That would be correct,” Magnus joins in just as I’m kicking off my boots. “I hope you don’t mind, but we briefly have another guest as well.”
“Oh?” I tilt my head. “Is Camilla here? I figured she would’ve been a lot louder if–”
“(Y/n)!”
Fucking Leah comes running over from the other room. My eyes gape and jaw drops. I look at Seb, who has a brow raised. Then, my gaze trails up to Magnus, who has a kind and encouraging grin on his features.
“H-hey!” I finally greet her back, my shock turning into delight. “What are you–” I pause, noticing what looks like a potion stain on her shirt; the fabric is glowing, with a sparkle to it that appears to be fading. “Oh, no fucking way!”
“I know right?!” she beams.
Seb chuckles, his attention directed to Magnus. “So you’re just teaching anyone this stuff now, huh?” I elbow Seb for being snarky.
“Not just anyone, no!” he defends. “She just so happened to become aware of my abilities, and I sensed she might be a capable wielder herself.” He looks proud as he grins down at the woman, much shorter than he is.
“No whammies yet.” Leah shrugs, directed towards Seb. She turns to me and continues, “Anyway, babe—“ I blush at her platonic use of the word, like the dummy I am — “you didn’t tell me you could do magic!”
“I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to tell people!”
“There is validity to the concern,” the wizard butts in to support my claim. “It’s best that you keep this as exclusive as you can manage, young Leah. I trust you'll be responsible about this.”
“Sure thing, Mr. Rasmodius.”
Seb whispers, “So formal…” Prompts a quiet snort from me. I’m not sure how close Seb and Leah are, if at all, so it’s probably best she didn’t hear another jest from him.
“Why not use his first name?” I wonder out loud to her.
“That would feel weird… like referring to a professor by their first name, you know?”
Seb and I both shrug, my head tilting side-to-side slightly as I nonverbally weigh the truth of her claim. It’s a fair point.
“Now, I’ve some business to attend to with these two,” Magnus tells Leah. “Could I ask you to check back in with me in a few days, perhaps with a log of any changes you’ve undergone, if any?”
“Ooh, homework!” she quietly enthuses. “Sure thing.”
After some more idle chatter while she collects her things, Seb, Magnus and I see Leah out. When she’s gone, I feel a slight weight lift off my shoulders. My friend’s presence inadvertently eased the tension I was feeling as a result of the romantic situation at hand at first, but I quickly grew worried that she’d somehow find out about that, and it rudely took precedence in my brain. Granted, I feel like she'd encourage it rather than judge... but who knows.
“You really think she can do this?” Seb inquires.
Magnus winces. “Yes and no,” he answers. “It may be in her blood, alas, her drunken enthusiasm on the matter was nigh impossible to turn down.”
“Drunken?”
“After you left the fair, and the town started to empty up,” I begin to fill Seb in, “Magnus popped over to see how I did in the competition. Leah joined us totally shitfaced. She wouldn’t let me bring her home,” I gesture to the wizard, “and so this dumbass offered to teleport her. So she accepted.” Magnus glares at me when I face him fully, and I grin a cheeky smile back. “Surprised you didn’t mention that when you gave me the recap,” I note to him.
Drawing closer, Magnus points out, “I’d assumed she’d be too intoxicated to remember the conversation, to be entirely honest.”
“Seems like magic in itself,” Seb adds. In the meantime, Magnus leans down to press a kiss on top of my head. My heart thumps hard, as I respond to the gesture with a red-faced smile. “She’s a bit known on saloon nights for not being able to hold her drinks well,” Sebastian continues.
“That makes two of us,” I mumble under my breath.
“It’s alright, little one,” Seb condescendingly coos as he pats my head. I giggle and swat him away, as he asks Magnus, “Alright, what’s up first?”
“Come,” he orders Seb, with a nod of his head towards the main room of this floor. “You’re due for a refresh, I presume.”
“Absolutely.”
“Should I be there for whatever you two are doing?” I ask, stuck in place as Magnus and Seb had begun to walk away. Unsure of whether to direct my question at my boyfriend or my soulmate, my eyes bounce between the two of them.
Seb grins softly at me, offering out a hand for me to take. I grab it while Magnus answers, “Of course, dear. I presume you’d be interested in seeing your partners in action, no?”
Partners? I guess I’ll just have to ask Magnus separately if we’re “official” by elemental standards or not. Regardless, the term as well as his phrasing heats up my features.
“Well, obviously,” I agree, “but I don’t wanna get in the way.”
“Hush,” Magnus jokingly scolds me; meanwhile, Seb teases a very on-brand, “Shut the fuck up, c’mon,” tugging my hand further towards himself and– …our? My? Whatever – elemental boyfriend.

I’ve just read a wolfstar fanfic that made me so completely uncomfortable that I had to stop reading it. It wasn’t because there was smut in it, it was just how the characters had been written. It made me so uncomfortable that I want to write my own fic just to sort of wash my brain of the whole thing.
Now I will ramble on about this, so feel free to skip. I just need to get this out for some reason. I have no one to talk to about this.
It started out interesting, with Remus forced to tell who he fancied in truth or dare and then Sirius questioning his sexuality and his feelings toward Remus (there was a great section between Sirius and James that I REALLY loved).
But then it just devolved into this situation where Sirius was basically using the situation of Remus’ crush to snog and fuck him without having any strings attached and for some reason Remus just allowed it to happen because he was just SO INFATUATED, even to the point where they were jerking each other off while Sirius had girlfriends.
It’s so out of character that I can’t even comprehend why this was recommended by someone to read, much less that it was written in the first place. What bugged me the most was how the fic had both in character and out of character writing. Sirius was protective of Remus and cared about his feelings, but also said ‘no, I’m not going to let this go anywhere’ and then immediately started snogging Remus at any chance he got. Then he got a girlfriend and Remus was scandalized for a second before Sirius started making out with him again and then he gave no fucks?
Remus was worried about hurting the other lads while in werewolf form but then let Sirius get jiggy with him there in the shack right after the full moon night.
WHAT?
I can see Sirius being a bit of a player there in the beginning, maybe shagging ladies after having kissed Remus because he was confused, but he wouldn’t string Remus along like that and Remus wouldn’t allow himself to be strung along nor would he allow Sirius to cheat on his girlfriends with him.
