One thing I really like about Lady Butterfly from Sekiro is that she actually looks her age.
Media kinda loves to portray older women to look younger to make them hot. Lady Butterfly on the other hand is this badass assassin women whose by the time of her boss fight, is essentially a veteran at fighting.
Instead of fromsoft making her look much younger though, they made her look her age. It’s basically the “fear old men with jobs that causes them to die young” but did it for a woman. They didn’t try to make her attractive but instead grizzled and obviously passed her prime.
I don’t know why, I just think that’s cool. She reminds me of Gehrman.

Imagine Lady Butterfly telling baby Wolf stories, using her illusions to make them come to life. Her talking about the legend of the mist raven while Wolf watches, fascinated.

Guys, what if Lady Butterfly put Kuro underneath the effects of an illusion because he was scared.
The temple was locked and Owl has the key after all. And everyone’s kinda confused why Lady Butterfly is there as it doesn’t make sense. Owl could have easily tricked her, and when Wolf got there, she had trained him so she knew words weren’t going to be enough to reason with him if she was an assumed threat to his lord as she wasn’t his father nor his master, and she knew Owl was outside and could have told his son any story in the world.
So instead, she acted like a teacher and prepared Wolf for one day having to face his father. Telling him not to hesitate even with a familiar face because she knew Owl wouldn’t hesitate to cut him down.
