Young Justice Earth 3: The Light

Vandal Savage: Mostly keeps to himself and is basically Optimus Prime but human.

Lex Luthor: Tony Stark.

Lady Shiva/Lady Vishnu: Workaholic and is probably has insomnia but keeps saying that she’s okay so her wife Queen Bee has to convince her to sleep.

The Jester: Probably gets along with everybody and is the Wally West of the team. Is the definition of cinnamon roll and should be protected.

Black Manta/Devil Ray: Underwater researcher and has so much out of touch dad energy.

Queen Bee/Countess Bee: Soft mom and Lady Shiva’s wife. A literal hippie and is probably a vegan.

Ras Al Ghul: Grumpy most of the time but means well yet doesn’t show it. Often says dad jokes getting eyerolls from everyone.

Ocean Master/Ocean King: Definitely has insomnia. He’s so busy trying to keep Atlantis stable and he often falls asleep in meetings.

Klarion The Witch Boy/Klarion The Warlock: Vandal’s adopted son and feels the pressure of being his successor. Mostly shy and quiet while being friends with Child.

Deathstroke: Deadpool but with dad jokes.

Ultra Humanite/Ultra Human: Winston from Overwatch.

Ma'alefa'ak: Is basically Hayley Smith meets Korg.

Hi i wanted to share a webcomic i dont think has been mentioned here, its called "Lady Devil" it has a romance between a twin brother and sister as the main plot, heres the synopsis:

(In hopes to escape a forced marriage, Giovinetta makes a wish to the devil to save her, but what she doesn't know are the consequences of her actions. Read the steamy story of a girl who just wants to be with the one man she is forbidden to love.)

The story is really interesting and i really love the art. The comic is available in the Manta app, wish has the option of reading it for free by giving a pass to unlock a chapter every 24 hours or binge it all by paying a fee. (Im reading it the free way so i havent finished the story yet :p)

I don't understand people. 

I'm looking at tumblr posts and everyone is like Season 1 and 2 is the best. But Season 3 is really great too! Everyone is complaining about too much characters. But here's something I'm noticing. Every season focuses on a different team, different characters. Hell if you ask me Season 2 focused too much and too many characters, but Season 3 sticks to pretty much the same characters, Bryon Markov AKA Geoforce, Violet Harper AKA Halo, and Forager. There's more focus on Dick as Nightwing with his new team that he made by accident and didn't really want.

 Black Lightning. Artemis, Superboy and Miss Martian are more like support character but I still love Artemis and am currently tolerating Miss Martian and Superboy (even though I hate them as a couple). Garth AKA Beast Boy is getting more attention and I love how it's giving this sort of view of how artists/celebrities get depressed despite the popularity.

 The dangers of social media and technology and how much it's controlling lives. There are really great themes being explored and the show really feels idk realistic in the sense when it shows us tv programs and new broadcasts, the show's universe's political debates...it's honestly a mirror of American politics (which I kinda don't like because I had started realizing American politics is in a bubble and most people abroad just don't get our politics. At times we seem stupid to them...and I kinda can understand. This is how DC politics and new broadcasts feels like too). 

It's such a great show and yet everyone is focused on "friendships, teamwork and characters" and yet there's EXACTLY that in the show when you focus on Bryon, Halo, and Forager...well I'll admit there's also a lot of romances but I just ignore that...

I think people just don't like being introduced to new characters ever season...they want focus on the same characters every season so that they could see their "growth"...personally I prefer the introduction of characters I never even knew existed in DC and the focus on those characters. Before Season 3 Young Justice, I had never heard of GeoForce (or the fact that Tara had a brother...they focus so much on her betrayal of the Teen Titans, not anything about her family or that she has family members with powers too), Halo (who was actually a blonde girl but Young Justice turned her into a Quraci  refugee), and Forager. There were a lot of characters I didn't know much about. Also I love the villains too, I mean they're complicated, devious and smart.

Granted I haven’t finished Season 3 of Young Justice but I am so hooked! How can anyone say that Young Justice has really started sucking. No offense but compared to how Season 2 and 3 is going, I personally feel Season 1 was boring. It was boring. It was a struggle to even care about this show and get through every episode but I did because I did like the characters enough to do that.

And Season 2 was the same but better than Season 1.

And Season 3 is better than Season 2 and 1.

It just keeps getting better and better!

Am I really the only one who thinks that about Young Justice? I seriously don’t get the complaints about this show. This show is badass!

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but how do you come up with such wonderful names for you characters? I know a few of them have meanings (Mary's being an anagram of manta ray, Ollie's being based off of an olive ridley turtle), but what about characters such as Mitzi, Ioro, Capella, Ryo, Embry, and Fia? As an artist myself I struggle coming up with names for my OCs haha (anways i love love love your games just wanted you to know that too)

Naming characters always used to be a bit of a struggle for me (a friend helped me come up with Mary's name) and sometimes I still struggle with finding that perfect name! (I have some unnamed characters right now still haha!) but I like to think I'm getting a little better with it and finding names is fun!

I often try to find names that I think either visually "look" like the character, or have names with important meaning to them. But there's a few exceptions to that too!

For example, Mitzi is actually named after a character I loved from the game "The Cat Lady", and her Here For Sweethearts dance dress is meant to reference this as well!

I think the name "Ioro" came about because like...Ioro's pallete is full of blacks and whites and it reminded me of oreo cookies, so I think I wanted a name that sounded like it!

"Capella" means "Little She Goat", so I don't think there was a more perfect name for her!!

Ryo just looked like a Ryo to me honestly

Embry was a bit of a challenge, but I knew I wanted a name that started with E and could sound a little gender neutral, and when I found Embry it was the perfect fit!

"Fia" is actually short for "Fiammetta", which means "little fiery one" which I thought was perfect for her!! I wanted a name to match her energetic and goal-oriented self!!

I've been a bit of a salty spitoon over the recent events unfolding at NYCC so here's some GOOD news (sorta) >:00

I say (sorta) because I'm not a huge fan of mongie's work (or mongie herself) either, but DAMN if this lady doesn't know how to GET SHIT DONE-

Like GODDAMN is there a lot to show for here \(￣︶￣*\)

I don't know what the Let's Play After Dark or Omnibus works are, but it's really cool to see Linda Sejic's art here, I had NO idea what to expect when mongie announced she was going to NYCC and collaborating with Linda. I'm assuming Omnibus is likely a novelization or some kind of complimentary book to Let's Play because it has over 700 pages of stuff which is wild. Unless they just went and re-skinned the Volume 1 cover of Let's Play, I have no clue but it looks great. As for After Dark, yeah, again, no clue LMAO

Let's Play is returning in 2025, AND she's starting up a new series over on Manta (a publishing platform that's open to NSFW material which will definitely be better for mongie's work and will hopefully give WT a run for their money LOL) She hasn't stated yet where Let's Play's new home will be, but I'm assuming if it's not Manta, it might be a new independently-run site altogether, but again, we'll just have to wait and see. I remember her mentioning she wanted to do a fantasy series on her Patreon ages ago so it seems like she's finally getting the opportunity to do so. I have no idea what she's going to do with Let's Play after its S3 jump the shark finale LMAO

She's getting some merch made with BIOWORLD which is neat, though it'll be interesting to see how the quality comes out because the last creator I saw working with BIOWORLD was Smythe and the merch was uhhhh- not great. I posted about it on IG a while back but I don't know if I ever talked about it here so I'll def make that as a separate post for anyone who's curious.

But the BIG one - Let's Play is getting an anime, and it's from an actual animation studio which is a way bigger sign that it's a sure thing.

Again, I'm not a huge fan anymore of Let's Play or mongie in general, but I gotta give her credit where credit is due, she had WAY more to show for herself at NYCC than Rachel did, and the fact that she did all this after burning her bridges with WT, that's gotta sting for WT's and Rachel who still don't have anything to show for an animated TV show after four years. At this rate, there are gonna be more creators succeeding on a mass scale by choosing not to publish with Webtoons than those who did.

And who knows, maybe the anime adaption will tidy up all the problems original Let's Play had. It remains to be seen, but I think it's pretty neat to see mongie making such strides since she left the platform.

but overall, this movie slapped. i say that about every movie but still. i loved the emphasis on scott and cassie’s relationship, i thought the special effects looked cool, and the creativity put into making the people of the quantum realm diverse but still very human was tangible.

10/10 good movie, though i do think it’s funny that ant man went from “thief that hangs out with his bestie in san francisco and occasionally fights with the avengers” to “oh my god he saved everyone and is now stuck with a very powerful multiversal enemy”

Hello! For your crochet sculptures, where do you get inspiration for their designs from? I love how unique and detailed each one is, and seeing each new piece makes my day :)

Aw, thank you so much! :D I'm glad people enjoy seeing them -- I certainly enjoy making them!

So I certainly pull on a lot of critters and plants for my work, but most of my inspiration for original designs actually starts with the works of other artists.

Sometimes this is literally just making 3D crochet art of the artist's original concept, like Soot by @souperluminal .

Other times a piece of art just leaves a really strong impression and informs the style of the piece I want to make. For Little-Song the Moth Lady, I remember A moon worship ritual by @redslug being the main inspiration (though I really adore all the assorted moth art by them!).

And sometimes a piece of art will give me an initial idea, but the final products ends in a wildly different place. ✦ the moon ✦ by @kipine-art kicked off Hummus the Silver-Lily Moonwalker, and this sweet cat-manta by yogin was the seed for Ferbert!
