got my baby loaded up for a glaze firing around midnight and it's currently running the last few program holds, should be wrapping up by ~9/10 tonight...
and what a tight fit 😬 but banking on the porcelain downsizing enough to be alright. my clay body has a shrinkage of 14.5% from greenware to fully mature/fired, which is another layer to always consider making this stuff.
why so happy this firing will be done soon?
a very common event for here, and thankfully not including lake effect snow, but expecting to lose power tomorrow, and that is no good when firing an electric kiln.
so i may be looking at finished work with a flashlight 🤷
but that's ok, great opportunity to document my glazes with uncontaminated incandescent light if so!
and I have two new glaze tests playing with the tungsten 🌈🌟
