Woman of all time. She didn't want her child originally but changed her mind after her diagnosis. She genuinely started caring for her child, but was killed since her redemption would be inconvenient for the two main characters and the story overall.

Feel free to cut this part out but I also feel like having her stay an estranged mother would have arguably been more interesting, but instead it feels as if she's punished for being a "bad mom" in the first place. It feels like there's so much media that says being a bad mother is unforgivable, and this show, though I love it, did the most cliche thing and punished a bad mom. Sigh.

More propaganda for Misaki Unasaka: while she was not the greatest mother (neglecting her child, saying she wishes she never had a daughter) it's explained by her circumstances- it's heavily implied she was r*ped and is currently a struggling singer in an abusive relationship, she did the best she could in her situation. Add to that the situation of single mothers in Japan- abortion is basically impossible and there is no monetary help from the government if you're poor. She deserved better.

What I love about Wheel of Time is that my two favorite characters are:

1. A chronically exhausted accidental father of four who half of the time has no idea where his children are and spent a whole season struggling to communicate with his platonic lesbian wife.

2. Some hot ass that showed up for the exact amount of three episodes, whose main role was to look hot in the background and flex his muscles, and will become an unhinged religious fanatic and start a cult around a guy he doesn’t even know (because if he did, there is no way he would worship a sl*tty himbo with a complicated relationship with his evil dominatrix sugar mummy and his childhood crush).

LXC, on the other hand, would probably go through one hella ride, yeah. I also don't think LXC would ever stop loving MY or believing that there is good in him despite it all, but he would be a very sad and conflicted boy about the clear relationship MY chose.
