Sometimes I think about Diamond becoming an idol on the moon. And then I think about how they most definitely would have written a bunch of Taylor Swift-esque breakup/revenge songs about Bort.
So when all is said and done and the gems have all been turned into Lunarians, the population knows that Bort is the person in Dia's songs.
So on top of everything else, Bort would probably have to deal with Dia's in-universe fans going after them in order to defend Diamond (we already kinda saw this happen with the Lunarians cheering for Dia when they fought Bort during the invasion).
Why yes, this is just me trying to come up with any flimsy reason why Bort seems to have isolated themself after the timeskip.
I want some closure for Diamond and Bort's arcs okay. They need to actually have a conversation and now it's definitely too late for that.

WHAT WAS THIS CHAPTER??? LIKE, REALLY, WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST READ??
I WAS SO GROSSED OUT BY THE MOON JERK KISSING CAIRN AND HIS MONOLOGUE ABOUT FREEING THEM ("OH, LOOK AT ME, I'M STALKING YOU AND KEPT YOUR ARM FOR 102 YEARS NOW. ISN'T THAT LOVELY???").
LIKE, HE'S A FUCKING STALKER, Y'ALL(???)
THE GEMS KINDA WERE GROSSED OUT AS WELL??? (But the food did make them forget a little).
Speaking of food, that was the best part of this chapter, just saying. (I'm also really hungry)

I have made.......... an OC. I learned some cool trivia about minerals discovered on the moon, and I couldn’t resist basing a design on it! Even if canon wouldn’t support it.
Pyroxferroite (Pyrox or Ferro for short) hails from the Sea of Tranquility on the moon, rather than the Beach of Beginnings like all other gems do, having been created in Lunarian experiments to manufacture their own gem-beings. Pyrox is the firstborn of four, the others being Armalcolite, Yttrobetafite, and Tranquillityite. They’re still exceedingly young at just 50 years of age, however, due to the difficulty to produce gems artificially; as of right now, they are the sole moon gem, while their ‘siblings’ are yet to awaken.
Their Lunarian neighbours enthusiasm for processing gems is admittedly unnerving, but Pyrox tries their best to fit in, since they seem like an otherwise nice lot (and there’s not much other choice). This includes partaking in their fashion, their lax and sleepy lifestyle, and even their food, despite not actually being able to eat. They’re pretty popular, too, but they sometimes get the feeling that it’s just because they’re a novelty rather than actually being liked. Secretly, they wish to be the same as the others and be noticed less, but their attempts to blend in aren’t usually very successful.
Pyrox also have a fondness for the snails that live there, even if they get nibbled on sometimes when playing with them.
When they inevitably head down to Earth to infiltrate the gems’ ranks, Pyrox definitely has some culture shock in store for them, but they’re very excited to learn about the Earth gems’ culture and make friends. Maybe that personal goal isn’t very helpful to the mission, though...
(by the way, i currently dont have any plans on making any of the other moon gems, so, like, if anyone else wants to have a crack at designing others then id love to see)

Here are most of the manga/anime people recommended me when i asked if there were any that 1) had an intense female rivalry/relationship main characters with that codependent fucked up naruto and sasuke vibe, packed with action and 2)the girls aren’t family and not focused around relationships with male characters or 3)moe blob/fanservice
I didn’t write down all the recommendations because most didn’t follow the first requirement AT ALL. One person recommended FAIRY TAIL. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The latter two are less important to me but like.
Anyway I’ll walk into the ocean if any of you recommend another series that doesn’t fit item #1.
The only one that APPEARS to fit all the requirements I asked for is: -Teppu (haven’t read it yet though so can’t confirm)
Ones I’ve already read/watched any highly recommend even though they don’t fit all requirements: -Dungeon Meshi (one of my top 3 favorite manga, cant recommend it enough) -Puella Magi Madoka Magica -Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight -Tangled the Animated Series -Nogi Wakaba Is A Hero (No one else recommend it, but I personally do) -Qualia the Purple (same)
Ones that don’t fit all the requirements (as far as I can tell) but I don’t know enough about to confirm: -Land of the Lustruous -Arcane -Kageki Shojo -Otherside Picnic -Izetta the Last Witch -Beware the Villainous -Revolutionary Girl Utena -Princess Tutu (I know this one doesn’t fit for a fact but several people recommended it anyway) -Moretsu Pirates -Little Witch Academia -Akuma no Riddle -Witch Hat Atlier -Alien 9 -Mai-Hime and Mai-Otome -Symphogear -Canaan -Binbougami ga -Magic Knight Rayearth (I haven’t read this in like fifteen years so I can’t really remember)

What is a series* you would recommend?
All the stuff I hear about seems super out of my alley. Like Game of Thrones. Or Supernatural. Or Dr. Who. Or whatever.
I guess what I'm asking more is actually what series* you wish more people knew about?
*honestly whatever form and kind of media comes to mind. Live action, animated, written...
I’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THINGS I LIKE. THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. i’m mainly an animated and textual storytelling kinda guy so i’ll mostly recommend stuff in those general regions HERE ARE A HANDFUL
anime-- shinsekai yori for a refreshing, non-western-ya-lit take on dystopian fiction and a sick soundtrack. mawaru penguindrum* for an equally dazzling soundtrack, existentialism, and absurd, haunting metaphors about child broilers alongside brilliant, charming characters. kyousogiga for bright, buoyant energy, a story centered on family relationships, interdimensional chaos, and a girl with a big fucking hammer. made in abyss* for the fantasy exploration genre taken to its logical extreme, absolutely stunning visuals, and a big ass hole in the earth that just keeps going
manga-- haru no noroi* for the most convoluted but vivid portrayal of the human condition i’ve seen in so few chapters (and a sick art style), ran and the gray world for magical realism that’ll whimsy the pants right off of you, beastars for nuanced portrayals of morality and incredible character development, the land of the lustruous for the most awful, brilliant, and terrifying main character development i’ve seen in my life (phos eclipses kaneki ken in both tg and tg:re in terms of physical and mental transformation), and the umibe no etranger/harukaze no etranger pair of stories which present not only the woes of teenage romance but also the early twenties, and then the late, and then the thirties, and also your dad has depression
novels/plays/other printed matter-- a little life* (hanya yanagihara) for the kind of character-driven narrative  most people only dream of telling and breathtaking, heartbreaking, fucking disastrous lines that punch you in the face and then stare at you for three hours. never let me go (kazuo ishiguro) for being what it is, which is incredibly fucking sad but also grounded, and whimsical, and resilient. rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead (tom stoppard), especially if you’ve seen hamlet, for the kind of meta shit that makes you go what the hell and then sets your desk on fire. when you reach me (rebecca stead) for giving you hope.
i realize you asked about series’ and compared to supernatural’s 499 season run these are all incredibly short, but on the bright side you can blast through most of them pretty fast and decide if you like them or hate them in record time. as a bonus, please allow me to recommend the writing of ao3 users twoif, batman, SORD, and gamblers. i have read kpop fic because of these people. i have read homestuck fic. i have read. they’re all very good at what they do. fucking incredible really. thanks again for the question dear anon, and have a wonderful day
series’ labeled with * contain some potentially upsetting content so you may want to look up content warnings before you take a look at them because i sure was caught off guard half the time wahoo
