You can become fluent in a language without living somewhere that it's spoken widely. You can immerse yourself if you make the choice and put in the work. Do not give up. Fluency is attainable, and not just for people with some sort of natural gift. Find things made in the language, things that are better in that language, things that are only available in that language, and love them with your whole heart. You will become fluent.

Gravity’s Gentleness...
Wooly Sunflowers (Eriophyllum lanatum) symbolize “Gentle Strength”
source: Flowerpaedia by Cheralyn Darcey
This is heavily inspired by Story and Nawy’s (i’m too shy to tag them ><;;) ramble about Chuuya knowing (or not) how to be gentle... please read it! It’s so rich of brainworms and vitamin C(huuya)!!

2.18.2024 — 오늘 제 여동생의 방에서 공부해요. 저는 너무 바빠. Besides the chapter quiz, which should really only take 십오 minutes or less, I’m literally taking the day off of work and studying to run errands and clean. 근데, 저는 책상을 샀어요. I’m sort of excited, mostly to decorate my space. It’s pretty small, but I’ll make it my own. Midterms are this week along with normal course work, so here we go!

learning languages study guide
daily:
♡ vocabulary and grammar practice
♡ lessons (i have four lessons per week at school. if you don't already take lessons, look into free language courses on alison, coursera or 101 languages)
once per week:
♡ translate a short text (i like to translate my journal entries)
one per fortnight/month:
♡ watch a movie in your target language, preferably animated movies as the language used is easier. you can watch with subtitles
additionally:
♡ talk to yourself; your friends; your pets in your target language
♡ text with someone in your target language
♡ repeat what you hear (in a podcast, lesson or movie)
luck with your language learning❤️

Hello it me. As I wait for the next semester, I have decided to pick up on my French again! This time I have started a language journal, and also have three sources — Duolingo for speaking, YouTube for grammar and vocab, and LingoDeer for review.
I'm planning to be as consistent as possible — because I have a lot of emergency trips to my hometown in the next few days, I'm not sure if I will be able to attend the first few classes of the upcoming semester. But hopefully, I'm not too behind.
I'm recovering from my terrible pain days. I'm a little bummed that we're travelling again before I can recover fully, but hey life isn't fair. I need to try and get as much rest as possible.
