Well...if you're doing it again. Pages 42, 173, and 210 for your dearly departed and presumably still cherished writing journal.
Thanks for this ask, @abysskeeper !
‘Bad Ideas’ - My Writing Journal - Is Dead So i can't show you guys the screencaps, since some of the notes on these pages may be used in future WIPs.
Having said that….
Page 42: This is a side project that i might never actually go through with. Star Wars in general - and SWTOR in particular - has not been kind to the Rodians. Most SWTOR Rodians are petty, selfish, cowardly and annoying, regardless of who they are or what they are actively doing. Sure, a few are antagonists, but strictly as patsies. That's my postion. Page 42 includes a list of the Rodians you encounter in the game, and how their characterization buries an entire species.
Page 173: So… my Halcyon Legacy differs veers greatly from the "canon" story post-Knights of the Eternal Throne. The canon story gives you the "Traitor" arc and the confrontation with the "Order of Zildrogg". Mine doesn't do that. Having said that, their IS a secret order, one that includes several established enemies from the game. (Remember "The Nathema Conspiracy" where some of the enemies are player dependent? That was cool.) Page 173 was an early list of characters for MY Order. MY Conspiracy. That's gone through some iterations since i came up with the idea, but several of them are still on the "current" list, and it discusses their motivations for plotting against the Eternal Alliance.
Page 210: This is a list of "random" headcanons for my Halcyon Legacy that didn't seem to fit in any other area. Most of it is boring, but some fun parts include various friendships that form between Alliance members. One example is Ashara and Guss, two characters who don't fit into the Jedi/Sith dynamic. They're very different, of course, but both are kinda outsiders. Another pairing is Doctor Lokin and Darth Malora, both of whom give off serious "mad scientist" vibes. I imagine two two discussing their experiments over tea.

Hope this is interesting. Thanks again!

miraluka, red sith, and force-sensitivity
What do we mean when we say that a person is Force-sensitive? More importantly, what do people in the Star Wars Universe mean by it?
Usually when we refer to Force-sensitives we are talking people who can learn to use the power of the Force to become Jedi or Sith or Voss Mystics or members of the Order of Shasa or just use telekinesis to grab things from high shelves without getting into any pesky labels. However, that’s not really what is implied by the word sensitive – sensitivity is indicative of an enhanced level of awareness, not of an ability to manipulate or draw strength from something.
Species known for the Force-sensitivity – the miraluka who see through the Force, the precognitive iktotchi – only have a small part of their populations become Jedi, and they make up a very low percentage of the Jedi we are shown. Given that the iktotchi homeworld Iktotch is part of the Galactic Republic during the Prequels era when infants with high midichlorian counts are routinely given over to become Jedi and the miraluka are noted for their long association with the Order, including during periods when Jedi are not forbidden from marriage and families, this suggests that even though they are all Force-sensitive most members of those species do not have the potential to become fully fledged Jedi Knights. We also have an example in the mon cala Languss Tuno who when telling of his failed Jedi training says, “I can see the Force, I just can’t use it.”
Among most sentient species I think pure Force-sensitivity is actually rarer than the ability of Force-manipulation, which a Force-adept can then use to widen their connection to and awareness of the Force. The miraluka and red sith – two species well known for all being Force-sensitives – are interesting as contexts where differences between being a Force-adept, Force-sensitive, and Force-blind can be played out on large social scales.
Both Miraluka and Sith languages have specific separate words for Force-sensitive (person who can perceptive through the Force but not manipulate it) and Force-adept (person who can actively and purposefully manipulate the Force). Force-blind and Force-blindness also have single dedicated words in those languages, like how blind and deaf exist in English, because Force-perception is considered a major sense in the various cultures of those species. In Miraluka languages sight-blindness and sight are either loanwords or compounds of light and Force-blind or Force-perception.
Miraluka Force-perception is extremely well developed even when compared with that of practicing non-miraluka Force-adepts such as Jedi and Sith. Non-miraluka Jedi are frequently surprised to discover miraluka with no potential to become Force-adepts have better Force-perception than them, because while they may be able to match or exceed the miraluka’s base perception when they make the effort to reach out into the Force they can only do so while making an effort. It can be inferred from the vestigial eye-sockets that the miraluka species was once sighted, and that the parts of the brain formerly used for processing and translating the nerve signals with that information have been repurposed for Force-sensory signals. This is part of the reason that mirakula are said to ‘see’ through the Force; the grey matter used having evolved from equivalents of the visual cortexes effects how their brains interpret what they perceive.
Luka Sene, a primarily educational institution of miraluka Force-adepts, is based around increasing the range and precision of an adept’s senses rather than cultivating new abilities like telekinesis. Strangely, there is no mention of any other native traditions training Force-adepts on Alpheridies or any of the miraluka’s newer colonies when a population that large could be expected to produce more than one. Perhaps, like the Guardians of the Breath on Kashi, another miraluka Force-practice focuses on Force manipulation at the cellular level for healing and agriculture? The precision of their perceptions could lend itself to those sorts of techniques. If as healers they made a commitment to non-violence and eschewed all combat training and techniques that would explain their absence from Star Wars’ violent-conflict-centric narratives as well as making them a potentially interesting foil to the technical pacifists of the Jedi Order.
Conversely, while nearly the entire sith species is force-sensitive the degree of that force-sensitivity isn’t any greater on average than in, for example, the human or zabrak Force-sensitive populations. Some sith ritual magic can be used by people who aren’t Force-adepts if you have the right artifacts and are at a proper ritual site, and you only need to be Force-sensitive to communicate with ghosts. After playing home to hundreds of generations of Force-adepts the Stygian Caldera is extremely haunted; there isn’t a single inhabited planet or moon without at least one inhabited tomb.
Korriban’s biosphere never recovered from the destruction wrought by the Infinite Empire but its children built monuments for the lost forests and oceans as well as for their ruined cities and the memory of the life-which-was remains. Even at the arrival of the Twelve Exiles – the first Sith Lords – there were more dead people on the planet than living ones. Pilgrims tell of dreams filled with the crashing of waves and the scent of moulding leaf litter.
Force-blindness is considered a disability among miraluka and red sith in a way it isn’t in most of the galaxy. Alpheridies and wider Miralukan space has robust accessibility and anti-discrimination laws. Things such as detectable warning and wayfinding surfaces, local beacons broadcasting up-to-date route planning data, and audio-scent descriptions of the Force-flavours of notable locations have been included in all developments for millennia. There is a standardised set of wayfinding textures indicating features such as street-crossings, approaching inclines and elevators.
Even though Force-sensitive red sith don’t depend on the Force for day-to-day living in way miraluka do, the increased difficulty Force-blindness brings in participating in their traditions of ancestor reverence is seen as a lack, both social and spiritual. Force-blind sith are more likely to join the military or drift into the pockets of Imperial society dominated by red zabraks. Living among other people who share your Force-blindness and consider it the state of normalcy can be extremely refreshing, even if those other people are a different species.
Moving further into conjecture, I think that the proportion of the miraluka and red sith populations who are force-adepts is at most 50%. If it were greater, I would expect to see signs of social tension caused by a) so many miraluka leaving to join the Jedi Order, and b) so many red sith dying during the Sith Trials. Which isn’t to say there is no discontent or disquiet about these things, but it is at a low enough level that it is not obvious in the views provided by the various Star Wars media. It is still a much greater proportion than most other sentient species though; I’m thinking the for the miraluka it’s something like 25-35%, whereas for the red sith there is some significant variation between isolated break-away populations so it swings between 20-50%. The Massassi on the moon of Yavin IV would be at 20%; most Imperial planets’ free-born populations would be more like 50%. This is further complicated by the fact that – contrary to what the people calling them ‘sith purebloods’ and sith-supremacists like the Cult of the Emperor believe – historically the red sith have been as just as big a collection of alienfuckers as the humans of the cosmopolitan Galactic Republic, resulting in the red zabrak sub-species and the Stygian Caldera’s disproportionately Lethan twi’lek population.

SLE’s Star Wars Hunger Games: Season 5 - Swtor Edition: Episode 10 - Tenebrae Strikes Back
Episode number 10 time. Still a fair few people left as well. I wonder how much longer this nonsense will go on for? Lets find out!
Tumblr media
Night 11 can be summed up in one snippet.
Tumblr media
Yeah... that’s about it really. Next!
Tumblr media
Day 12 dawns... and with it...
Tumblr media
Someone is helping Beniko?! I wonder who?
Tumblr media
Good guy Guss being nice again and not hunting anyone down.
Tumblr media
Um... hopefully by ‘fish’, it doesn’t mean Guss!
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan would be horrified by this. XD
Tumblr media
I.... WHAT?! Seriously?! R.I.P Skadge, Vette and Overseer Harkun.
Tumblr media
OH COME ON!!! AGAIN!!!! REALLY TENEBRAE?! ANOTHER ZIOST/NATHEMA MOMENT!
Tumblr media
9 confirmed survivors! Yay!
Tumblr media
Bowdarr you bastard! That was harsh! And Koth and Guss... come on guys!? R.I.P Raina Temple, Koth Vortena and Languss Tuno.
Tumblr media
Three more made it out alive, thank god!
Tumblr media
All of that madness happened in the day?! Oh lord! How bad is the night going to be!
Tumblr media
0_0
Tumblr media
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Can Lana even sing? Gotta be better than Senya at least!
Tumblr media
Baras and Elara? That’s a weird combination.
Tumblr media
Poor Andronikos having to deal with some nasty neighbors. XD
Tumblr media
The cornucopia has been replenished in the middle of the night?! That’s not a good sign.
Tumblr media
5 wise people... or are they wise?
Tumblr media
Holy mother of.... Garza!! That was a tad extreme! R.I.P Bowdarr.
Tumblr media
Baras!!! Bruh!!!! R.I.P Andronikos Reval!
Tumblr media
OH COME ON!! REALLY! THAT’S HOW LANA DIES!? R.I.P Lana Beniko. Say bye bye to another of your champions @rangerslayer-97
Tumblr media
2 more wise people it seems.
Tumblr media
:(
Tumblr media
The unlucky number day dawns. Please no one else die! We’ve had too many of those this episode already!
Tumblr media
That’s better. Some peace and quite... mostly.
Let’s stop there before any more madness kicks off. I guess the simulator thought we needed to thin the ranks of the contestants a bit this episode huh? Let’s have a look at who is left.
Tumblr media
Only 10 contestants are left now! Damn... maybe we are closer to the end than I thought! 5 whole districts got wiped out in this episode alone! My condolences to Team Warrior, Inquisitor, Smuggler, Alliance and Random leftover team. Hopefully the next episode will be a bit more peaceful... or at least a bit more merciful on the deaths! XD

I’m enjoying the recruiting missions. Got to recruit Rusk. Found out why we can kill him. That prisoner slave labor army is not ok. Mordra is helping those people get out.
Recruiting Guss atm. I did not expect Blizz to be involved. It’s very funny so far. As a (falling) Jedi Mordra is very annoyed with his master. Clearly this guy is abusing and using his student.
But I looked around the apartment the Master has. There are so many bottles. This guy is implied to be an alcoholic but is also a seasoned Jedi Master (I think). I can’t help thinking. What happened to him. How did he end up like this? and he didn’t seem to have fallen either.
Still hate him for the mind trick abuse on his student. Even if the student is a mess too. I wonder if there are lasting affect of mind trick.

im feeing some kinda way, so.
when corso brings their little freighter back to port nowhere after the assault on darth marr’s flagship, he tells risha to monitor all comms. she’s already on it, though- and it’s already been a half hour in hyperspace. corso stands by the communications panel for an hour longer- bowdaar and guss had gone to get drinks and food for the rest of them. risha is checking the holoney, and its very anxious in the ship. at last, theres activity- but its not good.
risha reads out a breaking news story from dromund kaas- darth marr’s flagship destroyed, survivors being recovered- but theres a slim chance at survival. akaavi mourns to herself- another fallen warrior. risha tells bowdaar and guss when they come back, both conflicted over what to do now. she mourns the loss of a friend and confidante- bowdaar and guss, a family member.
corso mourns the loss of the love of his life, and hes inconsolable for weeks. crying into bowdaar’s shoulder, not sleeping, not eating. its a wonder he makes it through, but he does, thanks to risha. after he recovers from his sorrow he’s unstoppable- chasing every lead and dragging risha around with him. its a dead end every way, of course, they could never guess where their dear captain had been taken.
and it takes him 6 years to find his dear captain again, and hes too overjoyed to speak :(!

Just Another Day

Warnings: Character Injury, Guns, Knives, Slash Wounds, Blood, Blood Loss, Fainting Characters: Jendrush “Jen” Sept (OC), Risha Drayen, Corso Riggs, Bowdaar, Akaavi Spar, Languss “Guss” Tuno POV: Jen Sept
Tumblr media
There were some days Jen would have preferred to face off with Imperials rather than Black Sun.
Today was one of those days.
…A thousand times over.
He’d managed to sneak into Black Sun territory, but getting back out after nabbing the shipping information he’d been after? That was another matter entirely.
A blaster in each hand, boots thudding over metal docks, eyes trying their damnedest not to look down—not to see the open air for thousands of meters below him and the speeders zipping past fast enough that they’d end up killing him long before he could hit the ground so far below. Shouting, blaster fire, and was that an explosion?
Ah, just another day in the life of a smuggler.
Running, jumping, vaulting over a bewildered dock worker, Jen holstered his blasters to leap for a ladder. Another level up, another fifty meters added to the ones already between him and the ground. A blaster bolt shot past his head; he could smell the singed fur at his cheek.
A fang-baring grin, a hop to his step, a shout thrown over his shoulder without looking back at the pursuing gangsters: “Aw, c’mon! That the best you’ve got?”
His claws were unsheathed and they’d torn the fingertips of his gloves. That was the second pair he’d destroyed that week—Risha was going to kill him when she found out he’d need another pair. The Cathar didn’t much care; it was funny when she got annoyed.
Off the docks, up onto the rooftops, Jen felt some relief when there were finally alleys not far below him instead. He’d still really prefer not to fall off the roofs, but at least landing in the alleys wouldn’t make him go splat.
“Risha, where the hell’s that pickup?”
Corso’s voice was the one to crackle to life on the other side of Jen’s comm instead, “We’ve, ah—whoa! Watch your fancy flyin’!—run into some trouble, Captain. Bowdaar’s comin’ on foot.”
There was an explosion on Corso’s end that had Jen grimacing.
“My ship better be in one piece!”
“Your ship is the least of your concerns right now!” Risha interrupted. She was the one piloting, and Jen could practically hear the way her teeth were grinding. “Now shut up and get to the rendezvous.”
Jen growled—even if he knew she was right. “…Fine. But I swear if she gets one scratch—”
“I hardly think you’ll notice a scratch through all the rust.”
“Hey! She’s not rusty, just…just had personality.”
“Jendrush Sept.”
Oh… Full name time, huh? he thought with a grimace. Oops. “Okay, okay, shutting up! Be there in a jiff—make sure someone’s there for me, Risha!” He cut the line before he could get an answer and made a leap for the next roof.
Panting, legs burning, chest heaving. Almost there…
A shot finally met its target, grazing his elbow and forcing him to drop one of his blasters. Curses (in Basic? Catharese? He honestly had no idea and just grabbed blindly for whatever ones reached his tongue first and fit his rapidly souring mood best) were spilling out of Jen’s mouth before the weapon could even skitter across the roof to fall to the alley below.
It wasn’t long until he heard the telltale popping of a stealth generator activating. His nose twitched and fangs bared with a hiss. He could still smell the oil on the stealther’s clothes, even if he couldn’t see them.
“Uh, Risha? They really don’t want me havin’ this data!”
“Keep running, you idiot.”
“I was gonna stop and have a drink with them—no shit, ‘keep running’!”
Another jump—
A hiss escaped him when a vibroblade sliced through his vest with ease to bite into his side; it brought another pop as the blade’s owner cut the generator to make themself visible again. They were Human—small, lithe, able to keep up with Jen’s run even stealthed.
His foot slipped on the edge of the roof and next thing he knew, he was gasping for air after landing—hard—on his back in the alley below.
There were voices. Too many of them. Over his comm, on the roof above, and…next to him? Two figured were rushing him, standing over him—one with shaggy fur, the other battle-scuffed armor. Bowdaar and Akaavi.
…Akaavi? Wasn’t she supposed to be running one of the ship’s guns?
“I’m fine, I’m fine! But we’ve really gotta work on your timing…” Jen mumbled as Bowdaar pulled him back to his feet. He couldn’t help but wince as he pressed a hand to his side; blood, warm and sticky, met his fingers.
Bowdaar’s inquisitive growl had him shaking his head. “Not like I haven’t been knifed before. It’s fine.”
The rest of the trip was a blur. Akaavi had slung one of his arms over her shoulders while Bowdaar watched their backs (what Black Sun still pursued were clearly hesitant to face a Wookiee and a Mandalorian at the same time—what a relief).
The Star Hopper was hovering, ramp down with Guss on it. He was gesturing wildly for the three of them to hurry up. Jen found himself shoved toward the ramp by Akaavi, and the Mon Calamari took his arm to help haul him up onto the ramp before the dizziness from being pushed had even subsided. As soon as they were all back onboard with the hatch latching behind them, Risha took off.
Jen peeled his gloves off to shove them in his pockets, absentmindedly picking away at the threads caught in his claws, as he followed the other three to the holoterminal.
He was dizzy—must have hit his head when he fell, he figured—and when he pulled the datapad out of his pocket, he nearly missed the terminal as he tossed the device on top of it. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Jen leaned on the terminal. He…wasn’t feeling so good.
Another set of footsteps revealed Corso as he came up from manning the ship’s lower guns. He didn’t even make it to the holoterminal before he was scuffing his boot at something on the floor.
“Uh… Who’s blood is this?”
Jen risked a glance. Blood—drops of it leading from the ship’s entrance all the way to the terminal—dotted the floor. When the Human’s eyes found the stain in Jen’s vest, his frown only deepened.
“Captain? Tell me you just clawed someone real good.”
Wincing as he peeled the thick fabric of his vest away to get a better look for himself, Jen swallowed. “I, ah…guess it’s a little worse’n I thought…” His shirt, an off-white fabric no deciding deep red was more its color, clung to the wound; his gray fur stained dark when he pressed his hand to it again. “I’m not… I’m not feelin’ too…”
He pressed his hands firmly to the terminal, one of them leaving a bloody print beneath it. Head ducked, eyes squeezed shut, he tried to swallow past the rising nausea.
Over the ship’s intercom, Risha said…something. He wasn’t sure what. His head was swimming too much for him to understand her. An order, maybe; Guss and Corso scampered off only moments after she’d spoken.
A hand on his shoulder, trying to lead him somewhere to sit down.
Jen shook his head. “I think… I’m jus’ gonna…”
His knees buckled and he was out cold before he even hit the floor.

So I don’t really know how Zuvi feels about Guss, but godDAMN did it feel good to punch him.
[Captions:
1. Zuvi: This is just a complicated scheme of Rogun’s to drive me to suicide, right?
(between images, Guss says something about how he knows all of Rogun’s plans and can help her blah blah blah)
2. Zuvi: I’ll need a reason that outweighs the fact that you’re a two-faced lying scum who tried to get me killed.
(between images, Guss says that he’ll be a great addition to her team and lists some of his skills)
3. Guss: And that’s before you teach me! I’m a blank slate, Captain. (Dialogue choices - 1: You might be useful; 2: Fine, but... [punch Guss]; 3: I can always kill you later)
(Zuvi went with door number 2)
4. Zuvi: There’s just one thing, first.
5. Same caption, just Zuvi winding up for a sucker punch.
6. Same caption, nice almost POV shot of Zuvi’s punch.
7. Still same caption, Guss fucking reeling from getting punched, but he takes it like a man.
8. Guss: Ow! What was that for? Don’t answer that.
9. Guss: Does this mean I can come?
(between images Guss rattles off about needing to grab his stuff and all the changes he plans on making on the ship suggesting he has already been on the ship what the fuck Guss)
10. Please for the love of all that is holy look at the fucking sneer on Bowdaar’s face.]

Kyle: OhmyGod Guss, you’re alive. 😭😭😭
Guss: You didn’t think I’d get myself killed, did you?
Kyle: That's exactly what I thought.

unrelated: reason n i love guss
he might be a liar and a conman but he’s not. an active shitter. he doesn’t go out of his way to make the galaxy a better place, but he doesn’t go out of his way to make it a worse one, either. his heart is in the right place, even if he’s frequently sidetracked by shiny objects.
which. reason n i was sigh at his ‘guss isn’t light or dark, he’s guss’ in kotfe. no, guss is undeniably ls. ls1, maybe, but he’s ls. when the chips are down, he attempts his best to do the right thing. and that’s what fucking counts.
