Oh goodness, hi! Hello!

So first thing that comes up is from a playlist for my Durge, Lars!

Their whole existence is a struggle. They actively struggle and resist the urges as, without the context of memories, they strive to be a better, kinder person. Getting the tadpole was the second chance they never knew they wanted in their past life. Without these past experiences though, they have difficulties connecting to their companions for the first time because they, quite frankly, don't know how to. Interpersonal relationships are strange and definitely wanders straight into unfamiliar territory for them, but they're trying their best! They like having friends! It feels nice to be loved!

But there is always this sense of unease at the back of their mind -- some danger that Lars can't see is there, lurking and casting its shadow over the faces of these Future Friends and Future Lover. Something hungry with gnashing teeth and claws itching to tear -- it scares them and deep down, they know that this hungry monster is merely another aspect of them. They don't know what to do to tame it, to bring it to heel. They fear being abandoned by their new companions because of it. In the end, Lars hopes that if they look away long enough, if they keep that part of their mind locked away... maybe the beast will settle down and they can fully embrace gentler times.
