Why is Peter Capaldi so hot? Part Four.
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]
What is sexier than (6-7) personal devotion and (8) correct political opinions? This concluding installment of "Why is Peter Capaldi so hot?" will address what we know of the life and beliefs of Peter Capaldi's public persona.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. His 40+ year relationship with Elaine Collins
With the caveat that you can never really understand anything about other people's marriages, especially people you don't actually know, everything Peter Capaldi has publicly said about his marriage paints a picture of a lifetime of devotion.
To give one example, in an interview with Larry King he explains that his relationship with his wife was essentially his first relationship, and that he has been in love with her since he was 23 years old (this topic starts around 16:20):
youtube
Another anecdote I find particularly compelling is his general reluctance to take off his wedding ring, which led to both Malcolm Tucker and the twelfth Doctor wearing wedding bands.

7. His 60+ year relationship with Doctor Who
I don't mean to suggest that Peter Capaldi's life-long love of Doctor Who is in any way equivalent to his marriage, but I do think they are two elements of a personality that seems (again, from the outside) to be grounded in the joys of long-term commitment.
It is widely known that he was a big fan as a kid:

But there is also plenty of evidence that his love for the show hasn't faded:

8. His lefty politics
It is easy to find photographic evidence of Peter Capaldi at demonstrations for women's rights, climate justice, labor rights, etc. In most long-form interviews, he expresses some form of condemnation of recent Tory governments, advocacy for public services like the BBC and the NHS, and anti-austerity (and sometimes more openly anti-capitalist) ideas.
Take, for example, this article, which includes a discussion of the no-longer-operative social programs that allowed him to go to art school and how all forms of art are harmed when the privileged classes have differential access to arts training:
He's loved Doctor Who since 1963, and shows no signs of stopping. He's loved his wife since 1983, and shows no signs of stopping. He has not allowed his professional success to obscure his vision of the role of class and material deprivation in British society, and he uses his celebrity to advocate for social justice and the public good. Hot.
That is the view from where I sit. Peter Capaldi is hot because of his physical characteristics, his mannerisms, his skills, because the characters he plays are hot, and because all evidence suggests that in real life he is a genuinely nice person. It is a holistic, ineffable feature of his personhood.

I caused an apocalypse by getting on Tumblr. Bill Cipher had possessed Bumblebee (the autobot)'s body, and destroyed the whole town in search to kill me. A disembodied head of Larry King blocked the sun. It all ended after I said I was going to log out.

Love love love Larry King interviews. There was no one like him. Ben was such a great match for him. This interview is flawless. Please go watch it at the source link if you haven’t (or even if you have). I have the video clips if anyone is looking at these shitty gifs and can’t hear them. His laugh is so genuine
Also I took an embarrassing amount of screenshots

I was gonna do a whole write up on this, but just go watch it. It’s 30 minutes. Settle in. Pour one out for Larry and enjoy him affectionately referring to Ben as a duck repeatedly. This is so special.
You’re so special. Have a beautiful weekend!

Bill Maher - "This is what I believe." Yeah, you believe it, and I'm going to say why it's dumb (2008)
Larry King: Back with Bill Maher. Catholic League President William Donohue says that you really have it out against Christians, and he'd love to duke it out with you in the ring. He's a very, very passionate Catholic, as you know.
Bill Maher: Oh yes, aren't they all? I used to be a Catholic. Yes, I saw that on Keith Olbermann's show. I thought he had the right response after the man threatened to beat me up: "just as Jesus would handle it."
Well, you know, I hope we can avoid a fight. If I'm attacked, I will defend myself.
King: You expect when "Religulous" comes out to get a lot of flack?
Maher: Yeah, but I get a lot of flack anyway. But, you know, that's been their trick for hundreds of years. They say the word "faith" and somehow we all have to back off and pretend that what they believe is not destructive. And, I won't do that. And there are millions of people who won't do that. The minority that is, what I would call rationalists, that is people who don't believe in something supernatural, something that was obviously fables that were written by men before men knew what a germ or an atom was. Okay, yes we're rationalist, that's like 20% of people under 30. That's a bigger minority than lots of minorities. They just don't speak up.
I'm hoping this movie and this movement will encourage people to speak up about this. They accuse me of being a Catholic bigot. First of all, I don't have it out especially for the Catholics. I think all religions are cuckoo, okay. It's not just the Catholics. But I'm not a bigot.
Just because I wish for the demise of an organization that I think is entirely destructive to the human race, that doesn't make me a bigot. I also wish for the demise of Hamas and the KKK. Not that on every score the Catholic Church is the same as those two organizations, but to me, they are destructive organizations and I'm not a bigot because I root for their downfall.
King: But you can't offend them.
Maher: I've been doing it for 15 years and they're perfectly within their rights to be offended. But they're not going to shut me up. And they're not going to do it by saying the magic word "faith.""
This is what I believe." Yeah, you believe it. And I'm going to say why it's dumb.

"Well, if they're big and you're small, then you're mobile and they're slow. You're hidden and they're exposed. You only fight battles you know you can win. That's the way the Vietcong did it. You capture their weapons and you use them against them the next time."

Meghan's Poop hat clap back💩 (
Updated to include Harry's dereliction of duty.
She will never let the embarrassment of the 💩 hat go. "No one tells you what kind of hat to wear..."
Meghan, YOU refused advice to actually wear a hat on your outing with Queen Elizabeth. Sugar, no one can teach you because you don't listen nor do you follow instructions.
SMG calls her out on the 💩 hat because of course Meghan brought it up (AGAIN) during her MegFlix. The liar repeatedly states that she doesn't read social media or press, but here she is attempting to name & shame her critics. Further proving she's an insecure mean girl who lies and who bullies her critics.

Harry's Dereliction of Duty
Tumblr media
Double Down "Mark-ellle" who cannot "take direction."°°°
Andrew Tate watched Meghan's performance on Oprah. He tried to help Meghan put an end to her lying. No surprise, she doubles down in megflix instead of getting much needed help.
#1-Why did she complain to Oprah about her performance? According to Meghan, she was the best to ever do the job since Diana.
"I thought you were amazing at the job, I thought you nailed it?" -A. Tate
#2-Tate is right, Harry only had 1 job. There is nothing admirable about a man who knowingly threw his country under the bus by choosing a bride based on the guidance of his hormones and her promise to give him a lifetime of naughty 90210 scenes. (Dereliction of Duty)
What's even worse is that these two (2) dolts claim they followed their hearts to one another in the spirit of Princess Diana.🤦‍♀️
#3-Nobody expected Harry to choose a washed up, divorcee, low level D-list actress. The people expected Harry to choose better, like his older brother William did with his choice of Kate: a lady of quality who didn't need a class.
4- How Kate got it right: Kate learned on the job & she behaved herself. Kate was receptive. Kate paid attention and she was respectful.
5-A class for only 2 brothers! Tate is right😂 Just 2 of them! Why would any Palace have an ongoing class for something that should be a no brainer! Choose the lady who will best represent the people by loving God and country, not the girl who will best fulfill your sexual fantasies.
°°°While Lindsey Jill Roth-Gavin was a low level producer on the Larry King internet show, Suits allowed MM & Patrick to promote the 2nd season on Larry's new show.
(MeMe had recently mailed her rings back to Trevor. She was on the prowl and spoke as though she were flying high like a kite during the interview.)
Larry labeled Meghan "the office seductress" and instead of owning it, with daggers in her eyes Meghan said, "I dont know Larry..."
Larry King also asked Meghan a salient question: Meghan, "can you take direction?" Whoa Larry! Who planted THAT question?🤔 Too bad Meghan cant take a hint.
