The reason I even bought it up was because it was hard to believe they speak French or that they are French when they make those mistakes. Another mistake that comes to my mind is that table is a feminine noun in French, so we say la table and une table and not le table. I would love to help you, but I don't know how to use DMs in Tumblr.

Pourquoi Garder un œil sur Marina Abramović après ses rétrospectives ?

Fermée il y a quelques jours au palazzo Strozzi de Florence, Marina Abramović était à l’honneur cet automne. Dans une rétrospectives intitulée The Cleaner, l’artiste démontrait cinquante ans d’établissement de performance : un art éphémère fait avec le corps de l’artiste et qu’elle a poussé à ses limites avec une discipline de fer. Poussant aussi le spectateur en dehors de sa zone de confort dans ses limites. Voyons les raisons qui montrent qu’elle n’as pas fini de capter notre attention par sa dernière exposition.

Tout d’abord les pièces choisies du Cleaner sont savamment choisies et diverses, pour un art éphémère. Photos ( Ulay son ex- partenaire bénéficiait d’un contrat avec Polaroïd) vidéos, installations (reconstruction des sets de performances) aux re-performances accomplies par des élèves soigneusement formés. Dont la célèbre Imponderabilia, fermée 30 ans auparavant en Italie par la police pour trouble à l’ordre moral (mais l’œuvre peut être contourna le pour les plus sensibles). De plus, certains travaux font un dialogue avec le temps comme le portrait vidéo Holding the Milk à l’Opera del Duomo où elle ré interprèta le mythe de Sainte Thérèse d’Avila. Petit point mort : il aurait fallu évoquer son travail scénique avec la théâtralité intrinsèque de la performance des mentions avec des mentions à sa Biography Remix de Michael Laub ou sa Life and Death de Bob Wilson. Cependant un dispositif intéressant arrive à combler ce manque : la Personal Archeology, où dans une étagère à tiroir , le spectateur est invité à voir des planches de réflexions pré où post travaux composés d’objets, de phrases photos et dessins évoquants les oniriques boites de Joseph Cornell.

Gauche : la performance originale avec Ulay en 1983 où ils ont contraint le public de passer entre leurs deux corps pour rejoindre le lieu de l'exposition.

Droite : Imponderabilia re-performée en 2018, Florence.

Ce contrôle constant et assumé révèle aussi une recherche intérieure forte menée toute sa carrière : est elle l’autre moitié d’Ulay (Travaux de 1975 à 1988) ? Une soldate (The hero) ? Une professeur (Balkan Baroque) ? Ou bien juste une présence sur qui relâcher son esprit pour continuer à vivre (The Artist is Present)? Ces dernières réflexions l’ont amenée à concevoir le Marina Abramovic Institute et à ouvrir au public sa méthode composé d’exercices longues durées : la méditation avec les Transitory Objects composés de cristaux pour éveiller l’esprit ou Counting the Rice : la séparation et le comptage d’un volume de riz aux lentilles donnés par un facilitateur. Ce qui produit un choc et une pleine conscience de son environnement quelques heures plus tard . Un choc même sans sa présence physique.

Nettoyé des cadres habituels de l’art, il serait dommage d’oublier une telle artiste. L’intérêt qu’elle suscite fait que son emploi du temps est pris jusqu’en 2024 ! Elle prévoie l’année prochaine deux événements majeurs : un Opéra Seven Death annoncé à Munich et Londres où elle interprètera sept morts d’héroïnes d’opéras puis une performance inédite où elle se fera injecter cent milles volts pour éteindre une bougie à un mètre d’elle rien qu’en levant le bras. Ouvrant en fanfare une nouvelle décennie comme avec The Artist is present en 2010, l’année prochaine sera donc une année intense et sûrement riche en vives réactions.

The night before the purge

All through the website

Not a pedo was fapping

Not even a necrophiliac

The posts were deleted, done by bots with “care”

With dread that the purge would soon be there

The artists were all packing their things

While visions of poverty danced in their heads,

And tumblr in her kerchief and me in cap

Had just settled down for a long day’s purge

When out on the site there arose such a clatter

I sprang from my page to see what was the matter

Away to the front I flew like a flash

Clicked open the article and scrolled down the page

The mouse on the page of soon dreaded rules

Gave the luster of starving artists below

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear

But a corrupt bot and 8 tiny nsfw posts

With a little hunger for porn, so lively and quick

I knew in a moment it must be the purge

More rapid than eagles it’s coursers they came

And it whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

“Now Offical.Spec, now jaspurrlock, now smuttymaxwell and del48!

“On BlkBoiz, On Lartist, On KarateKuchen and CoCoNO57!

To the top of the page! To the depths of Twitter!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild purge fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to Twitter

So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,

With a sleigh full of porn and of course, tumblr bots.

Then with a twinkling I heard on the page

The screaming and crying of each little boob.

As I drew back my cursor and archived it all,

Down the page Tumblr Bots came with a bound.

It was carrying porn from all over the site,

And the pages were all tarnished with bans and kicks.

A bundle of porn he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a culprit just opening the sack

It’s bans, how they killed! It’s captures, so lavish.

It’s hatred was enormous and it’s appreciation was sparse.

I laughed when I saw it, in spite of myself.

A blink of my eye and twist if it’s hand.

Soon gave me to know I had everything to dread.

It spoke not a word, but went straight to its work,

Ripping each archive I had saved; then turned with a jerk,

And laying it’s finger aside it’s nose, and giving a nod, up the page he rose.

It sprang to the top of the page, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard it exclaim, as it drove out of sight,

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND GOODBYE TO ALL FEMALE PRESENTING NIPPLE!
