UÈLE LAMORE
Tumblr media
LOOM
‘THE FIRST TREE' feat.

Oculus co-founder trashes Magic Leap headset in review, calling it a ‘tragic heap’
It isn’t the most usual situation for a founder to write a review trashing a competitor’s new product, but Oculus co-founder Palmer Luckey has never been the most conventional entrepreneur.
Yesterday, Luckey published a review of Magic Leap’s developer kit on his personal blog titles “Magic Leap is a Tragic Heap” where he offered a few compliments but spent the majority of his words highlighting shortcomings of the new device while seeking to remind everyone all of the shit that Magic Leap execs talked about existing AR tech and how they nevertheless ended up running with a device that, in his opinion, made only minor improvements over the three-year-old HoloLens.
My review of Magic Leap ML1. It focuses on a few points that have not been broadly reported or analyzed by the media.https://t.co/ciBwUigIoQ
— Palmer Luckey (@PalmerLuckey) August 27, 2018
There are a number of digs he makes in his review, perhaps most insightfully he takes on the tracking technologies used for the headset and controller, noting areas where they are actually steps back in user experience. The Magic Leap One’s controller using magnetic tracking, a system far different and generally more complex than the optical tracking systems that almost all VR companies, including Oculus, utilize. Once you read the paragraph where he trashes the lack of a clickable trackpad, it becomes clear that this is probably more than a little personal for Luckey.
Magic Leap One ‘Lightwear’
At the point, Luckey has moved beyond his VR days in a professional sense (for the most part). His new company Anduril Industries is focused on creating border security technologies, nevertheless he has remained a very vocal personality in the VR space with a reputation of a hardcore hobbyist.
A lot of this beef seems easy to identify. Magic Leap CEO Rony Abovitz has spent the last several years raising a lot of money while developing technology in secret and trash talking existing tech in public. In Luckey’s view this hasn’t been great for investment in the AR/VR space where investors have had unrealistic expectations put in front of them that may have reduced interest in other existing cos that were taking a more conservative approach to hyping themselves.
Incredible! https://t.co/JLgg0nAviS
— Palmer Luckey (@PalmerLuckey) July 13, 2018
The most brutal takes are reserved for the ML1’s display tech, which Luckey points out really isn’t any different from what other companies have been looking at. While the Magic Leap team invented terminology to describe what they have built, Luckey points out that they didn’t solve what they claimed that they would.
They call it the “Lightwear”. This is the part that has gotten the most hype over the years, with endless talk of “Photonic Lightfield Chips”, “Fiber Scanning Laser Displays”, “projecting a digital light field into the user’s eye”, and the holy-grail promise of solving vergence-accommodation conflict, an issue that has plagued HMDs for decades – in other words, ensuring that the focus of your eyes always matches their convergence, something that Magic Leap has touted as critical in avoiding “permanent neurologic deficits” and brain damage.  It is even more important for AR than VR, since you have to blend digital elements with real-world elements that are consistently correct.
TL;DR: The supposed “Photonic Lightfield Chips” are just waveguides paired with reflective sequential-color LCOS displays and LED illumination, the same technology everyone else has been using for years, including Microsoft in their last-gen HoloLens.  The ML1 is a not a “lightfield projector” or display by any broadly accepted definition, and as a Bi-Focal Display, only solves vergence-accommodation conflict in contrived demos that put all UI and environmental elements at one of two focus planes.  Mismatch occurs at all other depths.  In much the same way, a broken clock displays the correct time twice a day.
He also takes on the headset’s small field-of-view, something which honestly feels like a bit of a cheap shot when he compares it to other AR headsets that use much more simplistic optical systems. Magic Leap’s display offers a viewing area that has been estimated to be about 40 percent larger than the HoloLens but is still a small box in someone’s perspective.
If you felt this was just someone’s occasionally harsh look at a big product, it’s clear the intent when Luckey attempts to estimate sales of the device by looking at the company’s order numbering system.
The Magic Leap order system was really easy to figure out for the first few days after launch.  I gathered some order numbers from friends and compared their order times, and I am pretty confident about predicting first-week sales.  Unfortunately, they changed the system shortly after I tweeted about it.  Based on what I do know, it looks like they sold about 2,000 units in the first week, with a very heavy bias towards the first 48 hours.  If I had to guess, I would put total sales at well under 3,000 units at this point.  This is unfortunate for obvious reasons – I know over a hundred people with an ML1, and almost none of them are AR developers.  Most are tech executives, “influencers”, or early adopters who work in the industry but have no plans to actually build AR apps.  This was a big problem in the early VR industry, and that was with many tens of thousands of developers among hundreds of thousands of development kits sold!  Multiplying the problem by a couple orders of magnitude is going to be rough for ML.
Luckey doesn’t seem like he’ll be publishing any follow-ups with this device either, he gave his personal device to iFixit to tear down after playing around with it for the review.
Following the post going up, Magic Leap CEO Rony Abovitz responded in typically eccentric fashion, assumedly comparing Luckey to a character from Avatar: The Last Airbender with more strange tweets to follow.
There are enough rifts in our society. Let’s unite people. Let’s unify our digital and physical worlds. Let’s create and be artists and build and play
— Rony Abovitz (@rabovitz) August 27, 2018
The @magicleap journey and party is going to fun, creative, and awesome. We have a clear north star. Everyone is welcome – but please be gracious.

D: I’m sorry I interrupted your streak. But thank you for taking a break to read my update! lol I’m honored.
Ending it there means Avicia’s reveal is going to have a lot going on with it. ;) Whether that’s good or bad is yet to be seen.

I actually don’t often have playlists while writing. But Knock on Wood was just the song I had in my head while writing Temma’s show. I’m glad it fits the mood for others, too.

I don’t have much else to say other than thank you! I’m glad readers of my work can feel so strongly about my characters and their story.
I understand wanting more of a story and trying to be patient. I’m planning for LCO to be wrapping up soon.
Thanks again! I enjoy reading comments, so long comments are a delight to see. lol

"Excuse you!" Avicia jerked around, facing Kahdreg in a moment of confusion that was edging toward incredulous irritation. "What are you going on about?"
When Avicia spun around, Kahdreg straightened up a little, just enough to still be in her personal bubble but not close enough to kiss. This close though, her natural scent tickled their nose and they fought the urge to lean closer again, to be buried in her scent. Kahdreg smirked, hiding the embarrassing thoughts behind a wall of smug. "Maybe you're testing to see if you truly have what it takes to tempt me."
Avicia snorted at that. "You already told me I tempt you."
"Yeah," conceded Kahdreg, but an answer - the realization - quickly lined up on their lips, "But you didn't ask what I thought of this outfit. After pestering me to answer the other six."
"So?" Very obviously, Avicia rolled her eyes. Her head dipped to the side as if the force of her eye roll put her balance off-kilter.
"So, I think my confession of temptation was what you were looking for." Kahdreg bent their arms, lowering themselves a little closer to her. Their grin faltered for a breath, another epiphany striking into their head. A sudden delighted and curious smile curled to their lips. "Wait, are you jealous of Kallinaera?"
"Excuse you," Avicia repeated, drawing back so quickly she bumped into the mirror. The chill of the glass cut through the warmth of her overheated body. She leered up at Kahdreg, trying not to focus on the dichotomy of cold and heat she was stuck between. "Why would I be jealous of her? I'm the one 'dating' you."
"I don't know," admitted Kahdreg, giving a one-shouldered shrug. Their grin softened a bit, edging away from friendly taunting and into something more gentle. "She seemed to catalyze something in you, I guess."
"I'm not-" Avicia stopped suddenly, clamping her lips tight. Her gaze darted away from Kahdreg's face, as a slew of thoughts suddenly slammed into her. She wasn't jealous, but she wasn't perfectly settled, either. There was an itch beneath her skin. An annoyance. Disentangling the sensation made her flush. She could feel Kahdreg's intrigued gaze on her, intense but patient.
"To be convincing, I'm acting like I would in a genuine relationship." As she spoke, her words came out stilted, as if she was tentatively grasping them. She couldn't bring her gaze to Kahdreg. Her heart was already thrumming at a quick pace in her chest. If she spotted any more softness in Kahdreg's eyes, if her attention lingered on their lips, if her body ached any harder to lean closer to them, her heart may threaten to burst. "And, in this case, I... think I'd be frustrated you wouldn't put your foot down with her. Even knowing your reasons."
"Oh..." Shame shot through Kahdreg, leaving a sizzling cold in its wake. Uncertainty made their arms stiffen, as if prepared to pull further away, to stand up straight and give her space. It wasn't the first time someone mentioned this problem. Hearing the words come from Avicia's mouth made a lump form in their center.
"But, I was given a chance to cover that up with a shopping trip at her expense, so..." Avicia laughed a little too loud as she waved a flippant hand, trying to dispel the sudden awkwardness nipping in the air. It still crawled along the back of her shoulders, making her feel a fool. This relationship wasn't real, she shouldn't be annoyed.
As amicably as they acted toward one another, the two weren't even friends. They were co-workers. Well, not even that. She was their subordinate.
A slight furrow to her brow made it clear she was still in thought, though she smiled up at Kahdreg. Perhaps that was why, when the orc reached a hand to her cheek, she jumped. Her eyes widened, instantly focused on their face, before glancing to where they touched her.
"You are very enticing, Avicia," Kahdreg chuckled, running their thumb along her lower lip. Avicia's lips parted, attention jumping to their face, ready to issue a retort. The words died on her tongue under their steady gaze. Heat flared inside the orc as a pink tinge darkened on her face and her breath caught as it ghosted over Kahdreg's palm. Every little action seduced Kahdreg, making them long for the freedom to respond. "But you made it clear where the boundaries are in this. If you want something, you'll have to initiate."
A swarm of thoughts and sensations swirled through Avicia. The body heat coming off the orc, teasing into her own. The way their hand, so large and warm, cradled her cheek. How the pad of their thumb left her lips prickling. Memories flashed through her head, of the last day, the last week, her whole time on set. How quickly and how much her understanding of them had changed.
Overwhelmed with the chaos of thoughts and sensations, she remained still. Simply staring up at Kahdreg.
It wasn't until their hand shifted, about to pull away, that Avicia moved. Her own hand came up to the back of Kahdreg's, fingers lacing into the valleys of their digits. The movement made the orc's eyes widen, but they didn't utter a word, too curious to see what she'd do.
The anarchy and weight of introspection made part of Avicia's restraint buckled. Turning her face toward Kahdreg's hand, she brushed her lips against the flesh of their palm. They inhaled sharply. The arm still raised, with hand still braced on the wall, flexed, as if tempted to move, to touch, to retreat.
The small reactions goaded her to do more. Her lips parted against their hand, humid breaths against their flesh, as she trailed up their thumb. Avicia guided Kahdreg's hand a little further in front of her, her eyes watching their face carefully. Their shoulders rose and fell, in even and slow breaths. They stood still, watching her intensely, as if afraid the wrong twitch would break whatever was happening.
Pointedly watching for their reaction, her own gaze on them was no less fierce. Maybe even a little hungry.
Avicia slowly took Kahdreg's thumb between her lips, tasting their fingerprint on their tongue as she drew it into her mouth. A strangled sound came from the orc, fingers involuntarily twitching against her cheek as she took more and more of their digit in their mouth. Heat and pressure throbbed straight to Kahdreg's core, their member pulsing excitedly. The heat, the wetness, the suction of her mouth only taunted their imagination, bringing a storm of hormones saturating their thoughts.
The rest of the world, what little of it they had been paying attention to, completely disappeared in their consciousness. Complete focus on one another, in this small room.
Even once she completely enveloped their thumb, Avicia didn't stop. Past the knuckle and partway down the fleshy part of their palm. Her lips pressed firm, suckling on him as she writhed her tongue against the digit. The sensation jolted down Kahdreg's arm, forcing them to choke down a light moan. They jerked forward, barely managing to keep their mouth from making contact with the gentle slope of her shoulder.
The warm puffs of Kahdreg's panting breath teased against Avicia's skin, making her lips twitch with a smug smile. Their fingertips pressed firmly into her cheek, wanting more. It wasn't enough to hurt, but definitely a noticeable pressure. Which excited Avicia, just a little.
When her lips began their slow retreat, gaze burning into Kahdreg's face, the orc couldn't do anything but watch her from the corner of their eye. Their core churned with lewd heat and carnal instincts, clashing against the Kahdreg's resolve.
Finally, finally, the suction of her mouth pulled free of them. But she kept their thumb on her lower lip. Her attention flickered along the length of their body, lingering a little longer at the bulge between their legs before slowly returning to their face. As Avicia spoke, the ridges of Kahdreg's thumbprint grazed against her sensitive skin. "I'll keep that whole initiating thing in mind."
The orc only faintly nodded, swallowing noticeably. Their face burned from the heat inside and out, and their chest stretched the bodysuit with every deep inhale. Part of them realized Avicia had been showing off. 'Oh, look at how much of you I can take! Too bad it's just your thumb, huh?' And, maybe, warning them just how bad of a temptation she could be.
"I'm going to change back into my clothes." Restraint meandered back into her thoughts and Avicia didn't waste time pulling away. Kahdreg's reactions remained burned in her synapses. Already, she could feel the itch of wanting more of it. Which wasn't going to happen, she reminded herself. Pushing passed Kahdreg, she returned to her side of the room where her clothes still sat in a pile. "Turn around and don't peek."
Unable to start up their verbal faculties, Kahdreg just nodded and gave an affirmative grunt before turning their back on Avicia.
Even as the two retreated to far sides of the dressing room, heat lingered behind them like a phantasm. Both remained keenly aware of the other as they undressed and re-dressed, their thoughts replayed every little moment that had just come to pass.
The rest of their time together passed in agonizing quiet, from checking out to arriving at her door. Awkwardness ushered them quickly through a parting of ways, with scuffing feet and gazes that wandered everywhere except each other. It wasn't until Avicia found herself inside her apartment, back pressed to the door and hearing Kahdreg's departing footfalls, did the intensity of everything slam into her. Covering her face, feeling the lingering heat in her cheeks, she groaned.
They weren't even a full day into this scheme...
---
"Avicia?"
She jumped at the sound of Elyon's voice, wide eyes turning to face the elven script supervisor who had just brought her back to the present. Avicia had retreated to one of the darker corners of the stage lot for a fifteen minute break while the crew prepared for a set change. It made drawing Kahdreg's attention less likely.
"Yes?" She smiled sweetly at the elven woman. In the dusty, darker parts of the stage lot - where cables or additional equipment was shoved until it could be used - Elyon seemed displaced. Everything about the script supervisor was precise and clean. From the way her deep rose-brown skin seemed to shimmer to the way her silver-white hair never seemed to be a strand out of place.
"Is everything okay? You seem a bit..." Elyon waved their thin hand in the air, as if looking for an appropriate word. "Distracted."
"I'm fine!" Avicia nearly bit her tongue, realizing the words came off more as a squawk than anything calm. She shot Elyon an awkward smile and shrugged. "Just a lot on my mind."
"Is that so?" One of Elyon's eyebrows arched high, a slight smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Like Kahdreg?"
"Why would you ask that?" Avicia shot back, unnerved by Elyon's perceptive look and ghost of a smile. The more she spoke, however, the more a betraying warmth seared her cheeks. "I mean, he is. He's my boss, after all!"
Smooth. Totally not obvious, at all. She wanted to groan at herself.
"I meant he's been in curiously deep thought, as well." The elven woman raised her hand to her mouth, knuckles pressed to her lips, hiding her growing grin before a litany of giggles finally trickled forth. "I'm sorry. Kahdreg already explained the situation."
Avicia's eyebrows ticked upward, before she slightly narrowed her gaze. "He did?"
"Yes," smiled the elven woman, shooting Avicia an amused look full of intent. "They did."
Tension in Avicia's shoulders relaxed a little, but wariness still lingered. She wasn't sure if Kahdreg had explained the situation, in its entirety, to the elven woman or only gave her a light explanation. Just as Avicia was about to open her mouth to ask what Elyon needed, another voice shot through the area.
"Elyon! Go double-check the set. Wardrobe should be done in about fifteen so-" Kahdreg looked up from his clipboard, pausing in the action of giving orders. He halted, his eyes flickered from script supervisor to personal assistant.
Avicia's shoulders hunched, heat licking at her face as she felt amusement radiate from Elyon. The elve's eyes danced from Kahdreg to Avicia and back again. It wasn't until the script supervisor nearly skipped to the director that Avicia realized something. Had Elyon specifically sought her out just to lead Kahdreg to this dark little corner?
"I'll take that," Elyon gently coaxed the clipboard from Kahdreg's hands.
For a moment, the director in Kahdreg reared up. His attention snapped to Elyon, returning to his demanding tone. "Remember to check the props. I don't want an incident like last time. And make sure the-"
"I know, I know," sighed Elyon with a roll of her eyes. "I'll take care of it, like I always do."
She turned to set off back to set, flipping through the information on the papers. Though, a grin still teased at her lips as she left the two alone.
Kahdreg watched Elyon retreat back into the din of workplace chaos. Once she was fully gone, silence returned to the little forgotten corner. Uncertainty and silence hung heavier in the air with every passing moment.
The tension stifled Avicia. In an attempt to escape, she pointed the way Elyon went, smiling awkwardly up at Kahdreg as she tried to sidle by him. "I should really be-"
"Wait," he said, holding up a hand. "We should talk."
Avicia gave a forced laugh. Trying to ignore the flush of her face, she waved her hand lightly to dismiss any worries. "What's there to talk about?"
Before she could breeze past, Kahdreg caught her by the elbow, his grasp gentle and delicate. The air in her lungs locked in place, her attention shot to his face. The heat and weight of his hand sent prickling sensations through her and roused the memories of the weekend. She swallowed, trying to ignore the images dancing just beneath her thoughts.
"Avicia." Her heart hitched as he used her first name. Not a common occurrence while at work, but things had changed. The quiet way he said it didn't help her pounding heart. He further surprised her by leaning toward her, pressing his forehead to hers. "Please."

Tension wrought through Avicia's shoulders, all day at work on the following Monday.
Every time he came close, her heartbeat picked up and heat knit down her spine. She'd be forced to turn away, traitorous flush nipping at her lips, whenever he so much as glanced her direction. More than once, she had beat a hasty retreat as he approached, claiming she had to go do something if Kahdreg said something.
And she was certain the rest of the crew picked up on her awkwardness. Whispered words behind hands and semi-amused looks followed every interaction.
It felt like being back in high school.
But it was her fault. She was the one who took Kahdreg lingerie shopping. And that had severely bit her in the ass. Try as she might, memories of yesterday continued to light into her thoughts, bringing with it butterflies and squirming sensations.
She wasn't the only one still dwelling on yesterday.
----
Despite the fact the whole situation had been at her prompting, she was still breathless with excitement. Behind her, the shifting sound of Kahdreg undressing and redressing sent tingles along her back, making her heart stutter. Likewise, her own movements felt jittery. She had already tried on six other lingerie looks, stepping out of the dressing room to show them off to Kahdreg.
All had shown varying levels of skin, but they all showed more skin than she'd ever flashed in her boss's direction. She eased her own awkwardness by remembering they were pretending to date. She'd do these same things if they were truly an item. Acting like this made their farce all the more believable! That's what she told herself, at least.
Kahdreg, on the other hand, was struggling. With each of Avicia's wardrobe changes, heat frothed inside them. Even though the bitterness still lingered over her materialistic desires. It was hard to complain, considering the show she was putting on for them.
But then she needled them to find something to try on themselves. Of course, she was pushing them a bit. Trying to find their breaking point with eroticism or being turned on, before they couldn't help tipping over into temptation.
They'd done a stand-up job, keeping their hands to themselves and even keeping their words on the clean side of flirtation. Which prompted Avicia to toe the line, nudge a little further each time.
How much could they take until they got naughty? Until their eyes lingered a little longer or they dared to brush fingers against her skin? Until the tentative testing became more intent?
She shook her head, trying not to consider what her reaction would be if they finally gave in.
Across the small dressing room, Kahdreg struggled in the heat of their thoughts as they wriggled into their chosen lacy bodysuit. How could the woman's teasing and challenging grin be so powerful? Not only convincing Kahdreg to don something fit for a boudoir in front of her, but to share a dressing room as well.
At that thought, the noise from the rest of the store sifted into their consciousness. For a Sunday, it wasn't terribly busy. Surprisingly. There were only a few patrons browsing the racks when Avicia convinced them to duck into her dressing room. Likely, the employees were too exhausted from the weekend to bother with a couple presumably fooling around in the stalls.
Then again, it hadn't taken too much convincing for them to bend to her ploy. Even if there had been a sense of displeasure from the employees, they'd have been hard-pressed to deny Avicia. In fact, there was an excited hitch to Kahdreg's breathing.
As they clasped the suspenders along the side of the thigh-high stockings, they couldn't help wondering how Avicia would look at them afterward. It made Kahdreg's heart thump harder, being encouraged by her. But, on the other side, maybe she didn't expect them to take on the challenge.
"Ready?"
Kahdreg jerked as Avicia spoke. Their attention flickered to the mirror, side-eyeing their profile to assess the look. The bodysuit clung and cinched in all the right places, the lace enhancing the gentle curves of musculature and ass. The stockings highlighting the slopes of thigh and calves. The straps were delicate lines, sloping up and over their shoulders, straining just a little around Kahdreg's shoulders. Heat churned inside them nigh unbearably, especially as they realized how much their - ahem - excitement was on display.
Not wanting to back down, they answered Avicia with a simply, if throaty, "Yeah."
"Alright, let's see," she crooned. The sounds of her turning around echoed loudly in the orc's ears.
Kahdreg swallowed, following suit and facing her. Their thoughts slowed, their eyes flickering over the flashy outfit Avicia had settled on. A wine red corset, trimmed in black, pushed and cradled her bust, threatening to spill out. It was paired with black panties and a short tiered bustle skirt that barely hit her mid thighs. It covered little more than her ass and, faintly, Kahdreg considered asking her to spin to see the full effect. They drank in the long stretches of bare skin. Though, this wasn't the most scanty thing she'd put on today, it was just as alluring.
"What is with you and simple looks?" Avicia teased, giving Kahdreg an elevator look as she softly smiled. Her eyes seemed to eat them up. Tracing the stretch of the lace down their pecs, their abdomen, lower. Kahdreg burned the longer she stared. Avicia took a step toward them.. "Don't get me wrong. It does suit you, but it's so plain."
"Does it? I can't tell." They knew it suited them. They had plenty of similar underthings at home, some just as plain while others were much more flamboyant. Not that Avicia had grown close enough to know that part of Kahdreg. And they weren't in a mind to dangle that information in front of her. Not when her hand moved, as if to touch them, before halting and pressing tight to her thigh.
Avicia's head listed to the side a little, shooting the orc with a cheeky little smile as she softly laughed. "You don't need to be embarrassed with me, you know."
"I'm not embarrassed," Kahdreg scoffed, rolling their eyes.
"Is that so?" Avicia's eyebrows shot up with curiosity. She planted her hands on her hips and leaned forward, peering up into their face as if to suss out the answer. "What are you, then?"
At that, the orc's eyebrows furrowed. They hadn't stopped to really consider why they weren't mortified. Now that the question was posited, they quickly unraveled it.
"Confused," Kahdreg muttered, a breath later. Discipline trained their eyes on Avicia's gaze, though there was an urge to wander further south, to memorize the moment. They pressed their lips together, refusing to give in. "You made it clear you weren't interested sexually, but it feels like you're trying to tempt me."
To Kahdreg's surprise, instead of quiet contemplation, Avicia laughed and smiled a little ruefully up at them. "Admittedly, that was the point."
Almost imperceptibly, Kahdreg drew back. "What?"
"Don't get me wrong, the free lingerie was a bigger driving force." She held up her hands, as if to physically stop the orc from jumping to a conclusion. "Once we got here, I was curious how far you could take being tempted before testing what I said."
"So you're testing me." They frowned, crossing their arms as they stared down at Avicia. The fabric of the lingerie suddenly chafed against their skin. Again, the bitterness rose in their thoughts.
"I was using a controlled setting to understand your limits," she corrected, her voice taking on a scholarly tone. She ignored Kahdreg's snort as she continued, hiding a small bead of guilt with a casual tone, "You're definitely disciplined and well-mannered. Color me impressed."
Gently, Avicia nudged Kahdreg out of the way as she took stock of herself in the mirror. The orc watched her, contemplation settling over the now muted annoyance.
Narrowing their eyes, they mulled over the term 'controlled setting,' faintly wondering if she felt unsafe around them. Then again, many women were used to playing it safe. It wasn't necessarily a comment on their own actual behavior. More so people, probably men, in the past had made the precedent long ago in Avicia's mind.
Well, that's all they hoped it was, at any rate.
There was another realization grazing over their thoughts. Tilting their head, they considered the possibility as Avicia primped and took stock of her outfit in the mirror. Curious, Kahdreg neared her, refraining from the temptation to graze fingertips along her upper arms from behind. To feel just how soft her skin was beneath their fingertips.
When Kahdreg moved to position themselves behind her, Avicia wasn't prepared to watch their arms raise in her peripheral. Their hands braced against the wall on which the mirror hung, effectively boxing her in. At first, she didn't react, trying to focus on her reflected appearance. Her focus kept drifting to Kahdreg.
Despite her calm act, something inside Avicia jolted as Kahdreg closed in around her. Their body heat licked at her back and her eyes caught their reflection in the mirror. The lace fabric pulled taut against their body. Their nipple piercings glinting under the sheerer parts of the fabric. It had taken a bit of discipline earlier to not run her fingertips along Kahdreg and, now, the urge arose again.
"What do you think you're doing?" Avicia shot Kahdreg's reflection a look, not daring to turn. Her brain didn't need any further fuel to the teasing fire inside her.
"Are you testing me?" Kahdreg's head lowered, their mouth drawing level with Avicia's ear. Shivery heat pulsed through her as their voice dipped soft and low, tickling at her ear. A grin evident in their words. "Or are you testing yourself?"

Just read part 27 of LCO. *chefs kiss*. So excited for the next reveal. Loving your writing! ☺️
Thanks so much! I'm glad so many people are enjoying the story.
I was a little hesitant to have Kahdreg do drag when I initially thought of it, but I really couldn't resist the further we got into the story. So, I'm glad a lot of people liked that element!

‘THE FIRST TREE' feat.
