Movies I think are in the same universe as “John Wick”
Tumblr media
(My headcanon of movies I believe are in the same universe as John wick)
1. Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Tumblr media
Besides the obvious; they’re highly trained assassins, I think the people that came after them were the table👀
2. The Professional (León)
Tumblr media
We know there low level assassins working within small business like the one León goes to👀
3. Bullet Train
Tumblr media
Don’t have to explain much this speaks for itself
4. Barely Lethal
Tumblr media
We’ve seen that wick was train to kill from a young age much like this academy for young girl killers👀
Might do a part two I think of other movies but feel free to comment and suggestions.

off limits (3) II a.putellas x león!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part one part two
back again! the next part might be the last? but there is more to come off limits (3) II a.putellas x león!reader
if it was team cohesion alexia wanted, then you were determined to give it to her.
you would be the most perfect of teammates, showing up early to training and working hard as you could, not allowing any of the brewing drama to affect your ability to play in the red and blue and to win.
on the pitch you would feed her any assists possible and take any passes she'd give you. the same went for playing alongside your sister, you'd take any ball she sent your way, any crosses aimed in your direction you were on in a flash.
however, to them thats all you would be, a teammate.
you went out of your way to avoid any sort of interaction with your ex girlfriend and captain that wasn't completely professional, and you avoided your older sister like she had some sort of disease, refusing to speak to them in any capacity that wasn't absolutely necessary or football related.
neither girl had properly spoken to the other since that night in anyway that wasn't professional either, the tension between them was simmering but palpable and not completely obvious to most of the team who weren't aware of any ill will.
the same could not be said for the uncomfortably awkward space you created for those who were aware that you and alexia were clearly going through some problems, which was the members of the team who'd figured out you'd both been dating.
or that there was clearly something wrong between the león sisters, normally attached at the hip and joking around in some sort of way at games and training. or posting together going out for walks or meals or spending time together on your days off, instead there was radio silence and everyone had picked up the two of you had come to a disagreement on something.
lucy had tried time and time again to get all three of you to speak with her about it to no luck at all, brushed off each time or sent away on a drill.
claudia and patri had tried to get you to open up again without any luck, both about your issues with alexia and the way they could clearly see you and mapi also were not talking. but again you dismissed them with a shake of your head, hurrying away to be by yourself.
after all, it wasn't affecting your performance on the pitch.
if anything your underlying anger with both women only spurred you on more, using football as a therapy of sorts. the free time in which you'd normally be sneaking off with alexia or messing around with mapi you spent doing extra shooting practice or meticulously studying past matches.
you were flying on the pitch, but you were leaving both of them behind in order to do so.
~
it was a thursday morning off for you. you had a photo shoot in the afternoon with a sunglasses company you were partnered with but beside that you had no plans. so you glanced up in surprise from your spot reading in the sunny corner of your living room when there was a knock on your door.
marking your place in your book you uncrossed your legs and padded over to the front door, glancing through the small peephole and frowning as you unlocked and pulled it open.
"hi, can we talk?"
~
mapi awoke as the warm morning sun bathed her face and she rolled over, expecting to be enveloped by her girlfriends welcoming arms but to her disappointment she was only met with an empty bed and cold sheets.
blinking tiredly the tattooed spaniard pulled herself up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, head swiveling around the bedroom but unable to spot her norweigein lover anywhere her eyebrows furrowed deeper.
mapi called out for her, only rewarded with silence as she swung herself out of bed making her way around their shared flat, frown deepening as there was no sign at all of ingrid.
greeting bagheera with a scratch behind his ears mapi picked up her phone to call ingrid but the line only rang out to the girls message bank, mapi trying not to assume the worst or overthink as she made herself a coffee. but she didn't have long to spiral as she sat down with her breakfast and heard a key sound in the lock.
"good morning baby." her girlfriend smiled happily, closing the door after her as mapi was up and by her side in an instant. "where did you go? i woke up and you were gone!" she frowned after they'd hugged and shared a sweet kiss.
"i went out for breakfast." ingrid started, dropping her bag on the counter as mapi sat back down. "oh." the girl replied, trying to hide her disappointment at the lack of information or invite.
"...with your sister." ingrid finished, hiding her head in the fridge as she rummaged around for a moment. "oh." the spaniard repeated, this time a lot quieter as she sipped at her coffee, thoughts drifting as she stared out the window, hand bending down to gently scratch the cat which rubbed itself against her leg fondly.
"how was it?" mapi asked slowly as ingrid sat across from her at the table, having made herself a coffee as well. "it was okay, she misses you." her girlfriend murmured as she sipped the drink in her hands. "does she?" mapi asked skeptically, leaning back in her chair with a raised eyebrow.
"well she didn't exactly say it, but i could tell." ingrid sighed, a small smile tugging at her girlfriends lips at the brunettes forever present optimism. "mi vida she hates me." mapi chuckled, finishing her food and pushing her plate away with a sigh.
"she is very angry, but she has a right to be."
that made the defender frown, crossing her arms over her chest. "before you argue what would you do if it was the other way around? if she told you that you were not allowed to date me, and then i left you because of it." ingrid challenged, bagheera jumping up onto her lap.
"alexia left her?" mapi frowned quietly, her girlfriend giving her a look of disbelief. "please tell me you are joking. how did you not realise that from her behaviour?" ingrid shook her head as mapi could only shrug.
"i don't know. i just figured she was angry with me! i didn't think she would actually listen to what i said, she never does." mapi mumbled with a roll of her eyes as ingrid gave her a look.
"she has always listened to you love, she looks up to you so much its obvious for anyone to see. which is why she is so hurt by your response, then add in a break up in which she had no say and imagine how much pain she is in?" ingrid warned, guilt suddenly flooding the spaniards body as she sighed, burying her face in her hands.
"it is not up to you to say for either of them who they date, that is only up to them." ingrid warned sternly. "but she's my-" "no. she is her own person, and she deserves her own relationships without you adding in your negative opinion, which believe it or not actually means a lot to her. she was not wrong you can be very nosy, and very over protective." ingrid added on as mapi scoffed, but a harsh look from the tall brunette had her face softening.
"she is still your sister kjære, and she needs you. so you need to make things right with her, and with alexia!" ingrid finished as she stood, kissing her girlfriends head as bagheera pawed at mapi for attention, the defender scooping him up onto her lap with a deep sigh.
maybe she had really messed up here.
~
the next day you turned up to training early as usual, lucy was also early and so the two of you spent some time juggling to each other as the rest of your team mates arrivals trickled in.
"so how are you kid?" lucy asked, sending you a smile as you shrugged, flicking her the ball. "fine." you replied curtly, lucy abandoning any further attempts to coax you into being honest, sensing you were just not in the mood.
after breakfast with your sisters girlfriend yesterday your head was somewhat of a mess. ingrid had always been nothing but kind to you the entire time you'd known her, and had been easily welcomed into the family with open arms.
everyone saw the way she cared for your sister and the way your sister cared for her, in fact you probably spent just as much time with the norweigein as you did with your sister. the two of you shared a lot of common hobbies, hanging a lot one on one much to mapi's constant whining about being left out.
but her thin veil of tolerance for shopping only lasted so long, and so she was content to leave the two of you to your little bonding days. hours spent flitting from store to store, always returning to her home and showing her what you both bought as you'd stay for dinner and a movie.
so catching up with the tall brunette had been nice, and she had a way with her words that had you opening up to her for the first time about everything that happened, revealing exactly what was said and how it left you actually feeling.
ingrid had of course tried to coax you into coming back home with her to speak with your sister, assuring she would be there with you and would not allow you to be spoke to like that again. but you weren't ready, and she was not going to push you.
though it seemed she must have said something to your sister, as once the final whistle for training blew and you hung back for some extra shooting drills with sandra, you noticed mapi speaking with alexia.
you tried not to pay it any mind, the two walking away from everyone together clearly not speaking tactics for tomorrows game as they made sure they had no audience within earshot for their conversation.
after around a half hour sandra called it quits, patting you on the back for your efforts and retreating into the change rooms. you did some juggling for a moment to clear your head before you picked up the ball, also deciding you were done for the day.
though as you turned around you couldn't help but notice alexia and your sister walking back toward the few members of staff who were left, arms slung around one another and laughing at something, together.
the sight made your blood boil and you felt yet another knife stab you in the back.
the thought that neither of them were willing to apologize and try harder to fix things with you but were now best friends again as if your sister hadn't all but denounced their bond just a couple of weeks ago made you sick to your stomach.
so with a shake of your head you dropped the ball in your hands by the bag of them and stormed off back into the training facility. entering the change rooms there were only a few of your team mates left, most having left for the day already to rest up before the match tomorrow.
ingrid noticed your mood was off right away, glancing up from her phone as she waited for her girlfriend, watching carefully as your shoulders hunched over and you were quick to pack your things up.
normally you'd always shower before you left like a ritual, usually one of the last to leave because of this. so for you to be trying to exit as quick as possible she knew something was off.
pina who was sat at the locker next to you also noticed, frown forming on the younger girls face seeing you wipe away a few angry tears. "hey amiga what-" you shook your head furiously, cutting her words short and pushing away her hand which softly grabbed at your wrist.
ingrid stood to make a move toward you but was cut off as laughter sounded around the change rooms and the two causes of your bad mood entered, alexia shoving mapi for something she said as the shorter girl swung at her playfully, the two chattering away in spanish with large grins on their faces.
that was enough for you.
you slammed your locker closed with a force so hard you were surprised it didn't break, the loud bang causing everyone present to jump and look toward you in shock.
you zipped up your kit bag and pulled on a hoodie, slinging your bag over your shoulder and again brushing off pina who tried to speak with you.
having seen alexia and your sister had clearly made up and left you behind in their apologies your erratic out of character aggression all made sense now to ingrid who looked at you with a pained wince, understanding exactly why this would have hurt you further.
"hey hermana-" mapi grabbed you by the bicep as you tried to dart by you, holding you beside her with a frown. you pushed her off and sent both her and alexia a murderous glare, storming off out of the change rooms as mapi looked to her girlfriend with raised eyebrows.
ingrid sighed and beckoned her over to explain, knowing that if something didn't change soon things would only get worse.
~
on advice from her girlfriend to allow you some space to cool off, your sister waited until after the match before she approached you to try and talk.
alexia on the other hand without advice from anyone and worry for you growing with every day that passed that you refused to speak to her properly, did not.
you looked up from the floor as someone tapped your shoulder, pulling your headphones down to your neck with a cold stare up at the tall blonde stood in front of you.
"can we talk please?" alexia requested quietly, nodding for you to follow her as she lead you out of the change rooms and into one of the unoccupied recovery rooms.
"yes capitana?" you asked calmly, crossing your arms over your chest as you awaited what she had to say. "how are you?" alexia started, closing the door and moving in front of it, effectively blocking your exit with her own body.
"fine. but we have a match to prepare for if you are finished?" you replied impatiently, tapping your foot as the cold stare never dropped, making alexia's stomach tie itself into knots.
"cariño please i-"
"don't." you warned, feeling like someone squeezed your heart at the familiar term of endearment, something she no longer had any right to call you. "you need to remember to be professional with your teammates, capitana." you spoke bluntly, raising your chin as the older girl sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"when are you going to drop this? just because we are no longer together does not give you the right to ignore me and act like a stubborn child." alexia warned, tone shifting causing you to scoff at her words.
"i am simply treating you as you treat a team mate. after all you can't have any problems with your girls, no?" you challenged, clenching your jaw in anger as you threw her words back at her with a bite.
"let me make this very clear alexia." you took a step toward her. "i am no longer someone you have any need to worry about beyond the field. i play well, i score, i work within the team to help us win, thats it." you started.
"unless i require the help or assistance of my captain, i owe you nothing. you left me without even giving me a chance to speak to you about anything, do not forget that." you warned, taking another step closer to her, the taller girl towering over you but you only found in her eyes a hidden fear of your next words to come.
"you acted like a child. you ran away the first moment things got tough. you left me there crying and hurt and alone when i needed you. and then you wait two weeks to speak with me? after you made up with my sister who hurled insults at you and at me in which you made no move at all to defend me." you poked at her chest with every sentence, the older girl allowing you to do so.
"so you do not get to tell me that i have no right to ignore you alexia. i warned you that if you left i would never speak to you again, so don't you dare make out that i am the problem here. you are a coward, i hope you and your best friend are very happy but stay away from me." your voice cracked at the end, betraying the obvious anger in your features as you wiped away a singular tear, shoving past the girl and leaving the small room, and again she made no move to follow after you.
your sisters attempts to fix things after a very successful 6-0 win had been met with the same icy demeanor.
"hermana we need to talk." she'd cornered you as you came out from the showers, crossing her arms over her chest as her eyes bore into yours and you sighed, making your way to your locker as she followed.
you didn't grace her with a response, only sat down and began to put your shoes on, mapi taking this as a silent agreement you were going to listen.
not wanting to do this in front of an audience she hovered around waiting for you, disappearing to the bathroom for a moment, frowning deeply when she noticed you'd already left on her return.
"joder!" she cursed under her breath, grabbing her bag quickly and sprinting out to the parking lot hoping she wasn't too late. thankfully for her you'd been cornered yet again though this time by pina and patri who were begging you come out with them tonight.
"the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else amiga!" pina tried, causing patri to frown and punch her rather harshly in the arm for the insensative comment. though the interaction had graced them with a small smile of amusement from you.
"so you will come?" patri begged, clasping her hands together as both girls pouted at you hopefully. "fine!" you agreed begrudgingly, admittedly missing the chance to bond with your team mates and friends with your voluntary self isolation.
both girls hugging you tightly and kissing your cheek you shoved them away playfully, agreeing for patri to pick you up later to assure you couldn't bail out on them.
though as they left and you slid into your car, looking forward to a few hours of time to yourself it seemed the universe had other ideas.
you jumped as someone suddenly opened your passenger door, sliding in and swiftly yanking your keys out of the ignition, your sister slipping them into the side pocket of her backpack and out of your reach.
"give them back and get out maría." you warned, jaw clenched and giving her the most fierce glare you could muster. but your older sister knew you far too well to ever be intimidated by you as she shook her head firmly.
"no, i meant it we need to talk." she started, dropping her backpack by her feet and crossing her arms staring you down. you let out a long and tired groan at the situation, head coming to rest on your steering wheel with a small thump.
"talk then." you waved for her to speak, closing your eyes and resting your head back on the seat, tucking your knees to your chest. "are you going to listen?" your sister asked, raising an eyebrow.
"no but you are welcome to talk." you kept your eyes closed, swearing and smacking her hands away as she pinched you sharply with a warning glare. "sorry i am too stupid to listen. just a selfish little girl who knows nothing!" you spat her own words back at her as she winced.
"you did not listen to me when i tried to talk to you, so why do you suddenly deserve that?" you asked, glaring right back at her unwilling to back down.
"pequeño-" "don't." you warned her at the nickname, causing her to sigh and look up at the roof, thinking about her next words carefully.
"i was very angry and i spoke without thinking. i said some terrible and awful things i didn't mean and i cannot say enough how sorry i am for them. and for pushing you and for yelling at you and not listening, for all of my behavior." she started as you glared out the window beside you, refusing to look at her.
"you know i love you more than anyone hermana, and as your big sister i have always looked out for you because of that. i thought that's what i was doing here and i was wrong, i know now that i don't get to say who you can and cannot love. it doesn't matter who it is, so long as you are happy and treated right thats all that should matter." mapi explained softly, a slight begging present in her tone as you again ignored her and stared out the window.
"what do i have to do to make things up with you? do i have to beg? because i will beg!" your sister warned seriously, clasping her hands together with a pleading look. "please don't." you mumbled with a roll of her eyes.
"i will! i'll do it!" mapi promised seriously and you heard her shifting around beside you. sparing her a glance you saw she had shuffled so that she was on her knees on the car seat, hands clasped together tightly still. "please? please, please, please, please? please, please-" your sister began to repeat over and over.
"ay dios mío. stop it!" your arm reached out to shove her but it did nothing as she continued, repeating the word over and over which grated at you.
"fine! just shut up mapi por favor. and give me my keys back!" you gave in with a groan, burying your face in your hands as she finally ceased her begging.
"i knew that would work." the older girl grinned happily, moving to sit back down as you shot her a glare. "i'm still annoyed with you. this is going to take time and i want to be left alone until i'm ready!" you warned, holding out your hand for your keys which your sister dropped into your palm.
"okay. and i will be right here whenever you're ready, because again hermana i love you, more than anyone." she promised sincerely as you hummed, sticking your key back in the ignition.
"i'm not saying it back, you can get out now." you nodded for her to leave as your sister sighed but understood, leaning over to kiss your cheek before finally leaving.
~
"see! don't you feel better already?" patri grinned, sliding in next to you and handing you a drink. "give me a few of these and we'll see chica." you smiled, clinking your glass against hers as a few more of your team mates arrived.
"how many people did you two ask?" you frowned, leaning in closer to the two girls who'd dragged you out in the first place who shared a look. "everyone." they both answered in sync as you sighed, fearing that would be the answer.
sure enough shortly after did your sister and ingrid arrive, but to your surprise mapi gave you your space, sending you a nod and a small smile before sitting at the other end of the table as ingrid came over to give you a hug.
"i'm proud of you elskling." the taller girl mumbled as she hugged you tightly, rubbing your back and kissing your cheek before joining your sister at the other end.
as another hour ticked by it seemed most of the team was here and you started to relax, assuming it was now far too late for your rule loving anti mid season drinking ex girlfriend to bother coming out.
of course though you spoke far too soon as you heard cheers and looked up to see she had arrived, dragging her younger sister along with her. or rather it would seem alba had dragged her here given the obvious look of displeasure on alexia's face.
she made no move to greet you which you were grateful for, hovering down the other end of the table. alba on the other hand sat herself right next to you, slinging her arms over both you and pina with a grin.
"vamos chicas! i think i have some catching up to do, no?" the younger putellas stole your drink, downing it with a wink as you couldn't help but smile.
despite your burning anger at her sister you couldn't find it in your heart to be mad at alba, the two of you had always gotten along well even if she was also none the wiser to your dating history with alexia.
and you were determined to have a good night, it was what you deserved.
"come on amiga, it's time to dance!" several drinks later and alba had grabbed your hands, dragging you along with her to where half of the team was already on the dance floor.
"hey chica, she's hot!" the younger putellas whistled as she spun you around and pointed to a tall brunette who was very clearly making eyes at you a few feet away.
"vamos amiga off you go!" alba suddenly shoved you in her direction when you did not expect it, your state of intoxication causing you to stumble as the brunette grabbed at you. "hola." she grinned down at you, helping you to steady yourself.
though they may not have been sincere pina's words from earlier echoed around your head. this girl was hardly unattractive, in fact as your taste in women went she really was exactly who you'd normally be drawn to.
glancing over her shoulder you saw alba, patri and aitiana gesturing for you to dance with her with eager grins as you shook your head. "lo siento, my friends can be...forceful in their wing womaning." you smiled causing the girl to let out a laugh.
as the two of you began to dance together and the alcohol rose to your head, your hesitations faded and you started to relax, grinding a little more into her and allowing the tall stranger whose name you were still yet to learn become a little more intimate in her touches, allowing her to kiss you a few times but pulling away before they became anything more.
what you failed to notice was two hazel eyes locked on you from across the room, alexia burning with a fierce jealousy that she knew she had no right to.
"hey ale, you alright?" lucy asked quietly from beside her, having noticed what the captain was staring so intently at. "fine." alexia mumbled, eyes still locked on you as now your sister took notice of what she was looking at.
though with a belly full of tequila and ingrid distracted in conversation with sandra and keira, there was no one to filter her next words. "ay capitana! stop staring and go get your girl then." mapi grinned drunkenly, lucy cringing at her words.
but if alexia heard them she made no move to acknowledge it, though it seemed she had as she suddenly stood, grabbing her bag and her keys ignoring lucy's attempts to stop her.
"should we get out of here bonita?" the girl murmured in your ear, her hand already having slipped just up the inside of your dress. "let me just go to the bathroom and we can leave." you grinned, kissing her cheek as she let you go, your friends watching on carefully as you stumbled away.
alba went to go after you, having just agreed with patri that you'd had your fun and a dance with the tall brunette but were too drunk to be leaving with her right now.
but as she saw a flash of blonde follow after you she turned back to the girls with a shrug, assuming her sister would take care of you instead.
you did your business and stood, the room spinning slightly as you shook your head, fixing your dress and kicking the stall door open. but as you right away saw the all too familiar figure leant against the counter clearly waiting for you, you scoffed and rolled your eyes which wasn't lost on alexia.
you chose to ignore her as she called your name, moving to wash your hands and take a moment to breathe, your head still spinning slightly as you'd stood too quickly.
"take a picture it'll last longer capitana." you snapped to the blonde who wouldn't cease staring at you, twirling her keys around her finger as she did, causing an irritating jingle to echo repeatedly around the bathroom.
"you can wave goodbye to your friend, we're leaving." alexia stated firmly, grabbing your wrist as you tried to move past her toward the door. "you wish." you laughed bitterly, trying to pull away as her grip only tightened. "let go of me." you spoke through gritted teeth in warning.
"no. you can hardly walk, i am taking you home before you do something stupid." alexia shook her head at your current state. "the only stupid thing i did was think you were capable of loving me, now let go of me alexia!" you spat venomously, unable to filter your words in your intoxicated state, a slight slur to them.
"it is because i love you that i will not let you go home with someone who couldn't care less about you and only wants to take advantage of you, you're too drunk to consent to anything. so we are leaving, now!" the catalan growled, both of your heads turning sharply to look to the bathroom door as it swung open.
"what is going on in here?"

the supreme court of Mexico has made a historic decision by ruling that federal criminal penalties for abortion are unconstitutional. in addition to being a victory for women's rights in Mexico, this ruling also reflects the growing trend in latin america to recognize and uphold reproductive rights.
the court's ruling requires that abortion must be taken out of the federal penal code. as a result, any pregnant woman or individual can now get an abortion without worrying about facing legal ramifications. all government healthcare organizations, including the public health service, are now required to offer abortion services to anyone who requests them.
the journey is still far from over, though. even if the federal law has changed, roughly 20 states in Mexico still forbid abortion. there will be more court cases in these states.
social media lit up with joyous posts. the choice was praised as a "big step" in the direction of gender equality by Mexico's national agency for women. however, there were dissenting opinions, and like the united states, many of them came down to fundamentalist, reductive religious beliefs. some people vowed to continue fighting against increased access to abortion because of these beliefs and they will no doubt be joined by many others in these efforts.
regardless, this choice is the result of years of campaigning and activism. a northern state's abortion laws (Coahuila) were upheld by the court two years ago. this launched a campaign towards decriminalization on a state-by-state basis. Aguascalientes just became the 12th state to decriminalize abortion last week.
what does this mean, though, for a typical Mexican woman? while the decision does not ensure that every woman will have rapid access to abortion care, it does require federal agencies to provide it, according to Fernanda daz de León, a legal expert for a women's rights organization. this could have a cascading effect that makes it more difficult for medical professionals to refuse abortions in jurisdictions where they are no longer against the law.
however, problems still exist. women still encounter opposition and legal obstacles, even in states where abortion is allowed. although the battle for reproductive freedom continues, this decision marks a critical turning point.
the "green wave" of abortion rights is spreading over latin america. countries like Argentina and Colombia have legalized abortion as a result of this movement, which is signified by green bandanas. this stands in stark contrast to the expanding abortion restrictions in some areas of the united states, where conservative state legislatures have launched an assault against a woman's right to choose. six months post-roe, 24 us states have banned abortion or are likely to do so
in spite of this, a reminder of the larger struggle for women's rights and physical autonomy is provided by the situation in Mexico. recognizing the inherent rights of half~ the world's population is more important than focusing on just one nation or one set of laws.
keep in mind that change is difficult as we fight for these rights. it calls for perseverance, fortitude, and community. Mexico's decision offers a ray of light, but there is still a long way to go until every woman has the freedom to make her own decisions.
more than anything, the abortion verdict in Mexico serves as a reminder of the practical effects of activism and campaigning. in order to achieve a society that promotes and respects the rights of all people, we must keep fighting against oppressive and restrictive regimes that would deny any individual the autonomous right to determine what occurs with their own body.

Little Sister (Mapi Leon, Alexia Putellas x Reader)
Request and description found here. Wanted to get a little something out this weekend. 2.6k words. Enjoy x
TW: head injury and mentions of blood
Tumblr media
Moving to the other side of the country at just 18 was one of the hardest but best decisions of your life. You’d impressed at your local team and the u17’s for Spain but you knew that you had to make the most of the current hype and consider all the options you had for your first professional contract. There was a lot of pressure having been described as a ‘generational talent’ but you couldn’t allow that to get to you.
When Barca come calling it is hard to say no, but you knew your parents wouldn’t be able to make the journey with you, they were both settled in their jobs, your younger siblings were settled in school and they couldn’t leave your elderly grandparents. But all of that left you just over a year ago stood outside the training centre in Barcelona knowing no-one and wondering if all this has been a mistake.
You’d arrived at Barcelona a few days before pre-season started and though you’d originally planned to try and look round the city, you didn’t realise how lonely it would be on your own. So in a way you were grateful to meet the players but that meant meeting some of your idols as well. Being an out and out centre forward you’d grew to model your game on the efficiency of Hermoso, the creativity of Putellas and the delivery of León.
They were all behind those doors, waiting for everyone to gather but it was almost as if you couldn’t move your legs. The nerves had paralysed you, but you were brought out of the trance by a soft hand on your back.
“Hola.” It was fair to say you were embarrassed that the one and only Alexia Putellas had been the one to catch you in this state. “You must be Y/N.”
“Hola. Yes that’s me.” You confirmed shaking her hand.
“What are you doing out here then, come inside. We really don’t bite, well other than Patri. Come on”
If it hadn’t of been for Alexia you probably would have been stood there all day, but she was the one to take you inside, introduce you to everyone and make sure you were settled in the dressing room. Which is where you met Mapi, as she insisted you call her when you stumbled out Maria, who took you under her wing on the training pitch. Partnering up with you for the exercises and talking tou through what was going to happen next.
“Here’s our numbers.” Alexia passed me a piece of paper as the three of us walked outside after training. “If you need anything or just need someone to speak to please use them. Iit must be daunting being here alone.”
“Thank you.”
“How are you getting home?” Mapi asked.
“Oh, I was planning on walking. It’s only like 20 minutes.”
“Nonsense, come on I’ll give you a lift.” Mapi almost instructed me, taking the bag out of my hands as she walked to the cars lined up outside. “I’ll pick you up for training tomorrow as well.”
“Thank you, really you don’t have to do this.”
“I know, now come on.”
…..
That became the routine of your pre-season, Mapi would pick you up and drop you off after training. You went out for the team bonding sessions and made friends with the girls closer to your age, but by the end of the night you were always found with one or both of them making sure you got home safely.
You made several cameos in the warm up games, but you knew you would have to be patient and just wait for your time to come. That came sooner than you thought it would as in the final training session, Jenni appeared to pull up at the end and Jonatan pulled you to the side.
“Jenni cannot play tomorrow so we’re going to put you in from the start. Are you ok with that or do you want me to change formation? Are you ready?”
“I’m ready, I promise I won’t let you down.”
“I know you won’t.”
So that’s how you found yourself at 18 years old making your debut for Barcelona in the first match of the season, granted it was a team who barely scraped relegation last season but it was an opponent none the less.. With that came the expectation and therefore the nerves as you made your last few preparations to get ready.
“Give me those.” Alexia shooed your hands away as you tried to lace up your boots for what was probably the fifth time, each time the laces twisting in your hands and not quite falling right. “Look at me. I watch you every day in training and you’re amazing, I’m not lying. Just go out there, be yourself and enjoy it. You’ll be fine.”
“I don’t want to let you all down.” You admitted.
“You won’t.” Mapi obviously was listening in and slid her arm around your shoulder. “No-one can ask for anything more than you just trying your best. Run hard and don’t let your nerves stop you.”
“Thank you, both of you.”
“No worries baby.”
Everything was a whirlwind after that moment, from walking out onto the pitch to giving it your all in the first half to help the team get 3-0 up. You’d tried to get on the end of a few crosses and driven at the defence but nothing was just quite working.
The manager kept his faith in you and left you on the field for the second half and finally your hard work was rewarded. A free kick was awarded just outside the box and Mapi was stood over it. Not being the tallest you were stood in line with the back post on the edge of the box and watched as the defender got her head to it but only cleared the ball as far as you. It was like time stood still as you put as much power onto the ball as possible and watched it curve into the far corner of the net past the oblivious goalkeeper.
You were brought back down to Earth as a pair of arms wrapped around your waist, immediately giving Mapi away as the culprit, flinging you into the air. “You did it!”
After everyone else had congratulated you, Alexia and Mapi wrapped their arms around your shoulder to walk back to the other side.
“See I told you, just believe in yourself.” Alexia said.
“I couldn’t have done it without you two.”
“We know.”
….
Fast forward a year and the bond between the three of you had only grew stronger. When you couldn’t afford to go home for Christmas, Alexia’s family had invited you into their family home for the day and you were a regular at Mapi’s for a takeaway after a game. The two of them were very protective of you but they were also the first to congratulate you as you made progress throughout your first season and became known as the impact substitution.
The heartbreak of Alexia’s ACl injury gave you the opportunity to repay every favour she’d given to you, keeping her company in days immediately before and after her surgery, running to the store whenever she needed anything and trying to take her mind off the hard journey she had ahead.
The second season was where you knew you had to make an impact, Jenni leaving left the door open for you to make a firm impression in the league and you knew you had to step it up in training. Everyone noticed a difference in you, from your professionalism in preparing for every session to the intensity and discipling you trained with, it was obvious how focused you were and how much you wanted to improve.
It was eerily silent as Mapi and Alexia pulled up outside of the training centre, the two of them running late as they had been chosen to attend a league sponsor event.
As they were walking over they noticed Patri and Irene stood by the doors with a look on their face that they couldn’t quite read. “Hey what are you two doing out here?” Alexia asked as they tried to enter the building but were stopped by the two of them blocking the entrance.
“Oh we managed to finish training early so we thought we’d save you the trip inside, you can go home.” Irene told the two but her eyes were elsewhere, as if she was looking out for something behind them.
“We can go? We don’t even have to speak to Jonathan, does he not want to know how the event went?”
“Oh I’m sure you can tell him tomorrow.”
Alexia was beginning to grow annoyed as Patri once again blocked her path inside. “Cut the crap, what’s going on? You two are acting suspicious.”
“Nothing.” But the look of panic on their faces became visible as ambulance sirens grew lounder and louder behind them until an ambulance came into view. “Shit.”
“What’s going on? Has something happened?”
“We didn’t want you to worry, she’s in the safest hands and we knew that you two would only panic and she needs to stay calm.”
“Who needs to stay calm?” Mapi asked but was just met with silence. “Who?”
“Y/N.”
Patri and Irene gave up the fight at that point, almost running to keep up with the ambulance crew and the other two players as they raced through onto the field whilst trying to explain the situation. “She was trying head the ball and collided with the post, she’s got quite a big cut on her hairline and she started complaining about her neck so they’ve tried to stabilise her neck. She’s 19, we’ve tried to reassure her but she’s very panicky.”
“You should have called us sooner.” Mapi was angry at the whole situation but at the moment Patri was taking the frustration. “We could have reassured her, she’s probably frightened.”
“We didn’t have much of a choice.”
Mapi and Alexia broke into a sprint as they came into view of the situation with the medical department around you and the team watching on from a few metres away.
“Mapi…” Irene tried to stop her from going over but it was no use as the defender shook her off.
“No, she needs me.”
The situation was a lot more serious than they ever could have expected, blood completely coated your face and shirt as one of the doctors continued to apply pressure to the wound. Another one holding onto your neck as they tried to talk to you.
“Hey babe.” Mapi and Alexia knelt down next to one side of you so the medical staff could continue on the other side, your eyes immediately finding their own as they gripped your hands. Tears evident in your eyes as you squeezed their hands. “Can’t leave you alone for one minute.”
“It really hurts.”
“I know it does, but the doctors are here and you’re going to be fine.” Alexia reassured her. “Where’s the pain coming from?”
“Mostly my head now.”
“That’s good.” Mapi could see the massive gash on your head as the paramedics tried to wrap it up. They’d seen enough head injuries now to know that the majority of the worry right now would be coming from the neck situation and any potentially career threatening injury there. “Just keep talking to us, keep that neck still and they’ll sort everything out.”
“I was speaking to my mum this morning and she wanted to invite you round at the weekend.” Alexia tried to distract her from the situation. “I think you’re definitely her new favourite daughter.”
“She’s the best.”
“Bagheera has been lost without you these last few weeks.” From looking out for Alexia, you’d started hanging out at Alexia’s place as a three rather than Mapi’s which left you missing a certain car. “She misses your cuddles.”
“Oh I love her.”
“Right we’re going to try and move her now and get her to the hospital.” The two girls looked up as the paramedic instructed everyone. “Is anyone coming to the hospital with us? Any family?”
“I’m not leaving her.” Mapi and Alexia both insisted. “We’re practically her family.”
“She has no immediately family in the area.” The club doctor confirmed. “These two will be able to calm her down the most.”
“Ok.”
……
The two of them didn’t leave your side, from moving you onto the ambulance, to arriving at the hospital and getting the initial checks done. Thankfully the scans on your neck had come back clear and they put the initial pain down to the impact of the collision with the post.
They wanted to keep you in longer to check for any longer lasting concussion damage but the final nurse finally left the three of you alone after stitching up the wound leaving you with a giant bandage across your forehead. It must have been in the early hours of the morning now but neither of them had made an attempt to leave yet.
“Wow, we leave you along for one session and this happens?” Alexia teased as the two sat either side of you finally alone after the long day.
“I don’t think that goal post and I can be friends anymore.” You tried to joke but the tears only started again. “I thought that was it for me today. I’ve heard about people suffering from spinal injuries and it only ever ends with their careers ending. I thought that was it and there was so much blood. I could see the panic in their eyes as they tried to treat me and the blood was just soaking everything.”
“It will take more than a goal post to stop you from becoming the best.” Alexia said. “Stop worrying about that now, all the checks have been double checked and everything has come back clear. I know it’s frightening in that moment but thankfully we’ve got through it.”
“We’re just upset we weren’t there for you,” You could see the struggle in Mapi’s eyes as the rarely emotional girl got upset. “I promise if you ever need me again then I’ll be there.”
“Don’t worry.” You were the one doing to the reassuring now. “You’re here now and that’s all that matters. I don’t think I would have liked to have been Irene and Patri trying to stop you though.”
“Mapi almost charged them down.”
“Are you feeling ok now? Do you need me to get you some more painkillers?” Mapi asked.
“No, it’s more just like a dull headache now. Thank you both so much for today, you don’t know how much I needed you both today and to know you’ve stayed with me this entire time…”
“And like I’ve told you a million times before we’re your sisters now.” Alexia reassured her, climbing up onto the bed, so you could rest your head on her shoulder. “I told you on that first day we’d be here if you ever needed us and you needed us today.”
“I love you both.”
“We love you too.” Mapi said, not quite managing to squeeze onto the bed but she held your hands together. “Just don’t scare me like that again.”
“I’ll try not to.”

Period dramas- El Mestre Que Va Prometre El Mar (The teacher who promised the sea) (2023)
7,7/10 ⭐ on IMDB
The film focuses on the life of Antoni Benaiges , a teacher from Mont-roig del Camp, in the Baix Camp, in Tarragona, Catalunya, who in 1935 was sent to the public school in Bañuelos de Bureba, a small town in the province of Burgos, Castilla la Vieja (Castilla y León). Little by little, and thanks to a pioneering and revolutionary teaching methodology for the time, he will begin to transform the lives of his students, but also that of the town, which is not always to everyone's taste.
It's based on the book of the same name by Francesc Escribano and has been adapted for the big screen by Albert Val, and its director is Patrícia Font.
To tell the story of Antoni Benaiges (Enric Auquer), the film interweaves past and present and the master's story will be known through the eyes of Ariadna (Laia Costa), a woman looking for her great-grandfather who disappeared during the Civil War.
The producers of the film wanted to emphasize the essence of this exciting story: " 'El mestre que va prometre el mar'  is a great story that has been unfairly forgotten for many years. With this film we are repairing an oblivion and at the same time valuing the work of the republican teachers and recognizing the struggle of so many people who still continue to search for their relatives buried anonymously in mass graves. An exciting and fully valid story.
Part of the technical team is made up of David Valldepérez, director of photography; Josep Rosell, art director; Dani Arregui, editor, and Natasha Arizu, composer, among other professionals.
The film is shot for six weeks in various locations in the demarcation of Barcelona, in Mura, and in Briviesca (Burgos). It is a production of Minoria Absoluta, Lastor Media, Filmax and Mestres Films AIE.
RTVE and TV3 participate and it has the support of the ICAA and the ICEC . Filmax is in charge of distribution to cinemas.

Mapi León
Playing football has been my dream since i can remember. But being a professional athlete can become very draining. From the fans, the team, the media, and the schedule. I’ve always had my problems, but i’m a people pleaser, well, i was. I was a people pleaser.
“Team bonding after training. You’re coming, right?” Mariona asked me, expecting me to grin before saying yes as i was always the first to agree to any kind of night with my teammates, but recently it’s not been like that.
“No. Not tonight. Have fun though” I said which made Mariona frown.
“What? Why not? Come on y/n, you’re the life of the party” Mario said, pleading with me.
“Lo siento” I whispered to the Spanish winger before walking away and entering the locker room.
“Everyone is coming tonight, right?” Alexia asked the girls who all nodded.
“Not everyone” Mario said, attracting everyone’s attention.
“What? Who isn’t coming?” Alexia asked confused.
“Y/n” Mario whispered to Alexia, but everyone still heard and everyone looked at me weirdly.
“Y/n? You always come”
“Yeah, i know. But i can’t. Not tonight, anyway” I responded, trying to be as normal as i could about this.
“Come on. At least think about it. It’s no fun without you there, and you know that” Aitana added.
“Okay. I’ll think about it. But i’m not making any promises”
***
Tonight came, and i didn’t turn up. I didn’t have the energy. Instead, i went to the beach and sat down, allowing the wind to hit my face, and allowing a few tears to fall freely down my face.
What i didn’t expect was to be joined by one of my teammates. That teammate being none other than the Mapi León. She sat down beside me and allowed me to rest my head on her shoulder, as she wrapped her arms around me.
“What’s going on? You’ve not been yourself in weeks and i’m not the only one who has noticed” Mapi asked softly, clearly keen on an answer that i couldn’t give.
“I don’t know. If you want to truth then i don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I’m drained. I don’t know why. I can’t even explain how i feel. I’m just empty and numb to everything. I have no energy nor motivation to do anything, apart from playing the game i love.”
“Why didn’t you tell someone?”
“What’s the point?”
“We could have helped you.”
“I’m not worth it. Thanks though”
“Don’t speak about yourself like that, amor”
“..”
“You saved me, let me save you”
“I’m past that point. No one can save me. I’m falling into a dark hole, and there is no exit”
“Then we will make one. I don’t care how long it takes. We will make an exit. Okay?”
Mapi said softly, in a voice that i couldn’t not believe. So i buried my face in the crook of her neck.
“Promise?” I asked vulnerably.
“I promise you with all i’ve got. Let me save you. This can stay between us. But let me save you” Mapi said and i nodded, not moving.
My teammates are the best people in my life. The people who keep me sane. The people who save me. Over and over again.

I’VE GOT YOUR BACK
Alex León is a well know name in the independent wrestling scene, having earned the nickname The Prophecy of Professional Wrestling. Alex and Seth have been married for three years but never confirmed their relationship with the public so when Baron Corbin started bad mouthing his wife Seth couldn’t hold back, Alex watching from afar realised the true intentions of ‘the sassy southern belle’ and finally found her place in the WWE.
Tumblr media
January 6th 2019 -
Nashville Tennessee
“Thank you Alex! Thank you Alex! Thank you Alex!” Alex León is making her final walk around the ringside applauding, having just dropped the title to Taya Valkyrie in a gruelling match at Impact Wrestling Homecoming.
“An emotional Alex León making her final rounds here at Impact. This women is the definition of what it means to be an Impact Knockouts Champion, she has followed through with her promise and cemented her legacy in this company but she had a Prophecy to for fill somewhere else and we wish her the best of luck!” the commentary team announce.
Many rumours have spread about Alexandria not renewing her contract, having been in the company since 2013 she felt the need for a change.
With tears welling in her eyes, taking one final bow the programme closes with the last walk for Alex León backstage.
————————
Alexandria after taking her leave from Impact has been sending sometime at home, the days have been lonely without her husband and no wrestling as a distraction so like many people social media had taken up the majority of her time.
Pointlessly scrolling through twitter an article catches her attention:
‘Baron Corbin Chooses Lacey Evans As Guest Referee, Monday Night Raw Higlights 06/17/19’
León glances down at her wedding ring with a subtle look of confidence, exiting twitter she opens a contact typing out only one sentence…
I’ve got your back.
———
Wednesday 19th of June 2019
week of Stomping grounds
Stepping out of the car, Alex looks up to meet the deep brown eyes of her husband. A warm hand wraps it’s self around her waist pulling her into a loving embrace.
“Mrs Lopez i have missed you so much.” is the phrase that Alexandria feels rumble in her husbands chest, her bottom lip quivers knowing this reunion is months in the making.
“I can’t do this anymore, the distance i mean. I can’t keep waking up alone in bed. Practically me not working is a problem and i love my job i really do but i can’t keep being so far away from you, i just can’t do it. I need you” Alex let’s out a chocked sob as she repeats the words she had been dwelling on for the duration on the drive.
Instinctively Colby glanced down, his eyes drowning in sympathy, he knows the feeling. Lifting his hand to wipe away a stray tear.
“Stay here then baby, stay with me. I need you too, more then i could ever express in words. Stay here and we can make sure your work is valued for the talent you showcase, i’ll make sure nothing goes wrong” Colby pleads knowing they had to have this conversation, if Lexi retires then the idea would be completely out of the window…
———
Saturday June 23rd 2019
Tacoma Dome - Tacoma, Washington.
Lacey evans stood face to face with a very frustrated Seth Rollins, she had been changing and bending rules in Corbin’s favour and it was obvious it was getting to him. Suddenly Rollins’ face is flying left, she had slapped him!
“omg.. and here’s Baron Corbin trying to take advantage!” Spinning Seth around Baron tried to capitalise on the distraction only to meet a blow to his jaw leaving his slumped on the ropes for support.
“OH! A LOW BLOW BY THE OFFICIAL!”
The beginning beats of ‘Prophecy by Queensryche’ hits the arenas speakers, the crowd arrupts with cheers as a familiar red head charges down the ramp.
“IS IT? IT IS, COREY ITS ALEX LÈON THE FORMER IMAPCT KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION! SHES HERE IN THE WWE!”
“Why is Alex Lèon here? she isn’t part of this match?” Corey announces beside a very happy Renee Young and Micheal Cole.
Sliding into the ring Alex pounces on Lacey Evans throwing combinations of punches and slaps to the blonde.
“ALEX LÈON IS ASSAULTING EVANS, ALEX LÈON IS TAKING OUT THE OFFICIAL! ITS NO DISQUALIFICATION, ALEX CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL SHE WANTS TO DO!”
Alex and Lacey take the brawl outside of the ring, the sassy southern belle is sprawled out on the floor after being in the receiving end of a ‘final chapter’ (an exploder suplex) when officials and security try to tear Lèon from Evans.
Whilst in the firm grip of many security men, Alexandria looks though the ropes to see her husband of three years reverse an ‘end of days’ to hit a stomp.
1. 2. 3.
“SETH ROLLINS RETAINS WITH THE HELP OF A DEBUTING ALEX LÈON! WHAT A MOMENT!”
The wife joins her husband in the ring, raising his arm in victory. Seth couldn’t wait any longer, wrapping his arms around her waist he lifts his spouse into the air placing a delicate kiss on her lips. Whispers can be seen being shared between the couple as the crowd explodes with cheers.
“you did good baby, you did so good”
“Sweetheart, i told you i got you’re back.”

Stature, Formal, Informal, and Hair for Luis of the character design asks please!! :D
[oc asks here]
stature: What's your OC's body type? How tall are they? Do they wear clothing to accentuate their look or do they try to mask it?
Luis is 5’10” with an incredibly athletic body. Not particularly ripped but toned and with well-defined muscles. He also carries quite a bit of shape in his ass and thighs.
All of his clothes are tailored and fitted to his measurements perfectly. He’s worked hard for his body, he deserves to show it off.
Tumblr media
formal: What's your OC's formal look? Do they like dressing up? Do they have different looks for different occasions?
Luis enjoys dressing up quite a bit, half his everyday wardrobe is already fitted dress pants and button ups. For more upper class events he'll throw on his best, all custom fitted and tailored.
He tends towards more understated colors when he's at corpo events, usually black or dark reds. When he's throwing the event or he's close to the host he'll go brighter with whites and pinks.
No matter the occasion though, good luck getting him to button up all the way!
informal: What's your OC's lazy-day look? How do they like to dress when they're winding down?
A lazy day chilling around the house? Luis’ goto is a comfy robe, sweatpants, and slippers. Expensive, of course, but not fancy looking, the kind of expensive that you can feel more than see.
Tumblr media
hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?
His hair is actually Tech-Hair and can change length and color at his whim but as of 2077 he usually wears his hair shaved on the side and long on the top, slicked back (like above), or styled up into a pompadour when he’s in public. He finds this style professional and clean, the type of look he wants to give off as a Fixer. He also tends to keep his hair a pinkish color for an added pop and to make him look more approachable.
Later in life, he gains the title ‘El León’ for his king-like persona as the new Fixer of The Glen. He changes his hair to fit the name, growing it out and keeping it a dirty golden color emulating a lion's mane. He tends to wear it down more often but will put it up in a bun when he's working on something it will get in the way of.

Interview with Mapi León: "This is not a tantrum for me, of course it bothers me not to go to the World Cup"
The Barça defense is honest about his personal moment, the conflict with the national team and the Alhama case.
youtube
Mapi León  does not mince words. The 27-year-old Barça defense always speaks openly and is transparent. Now, with emotions running high for the Champions League semifinal , he talks to EL PERIÓDICO, from the Prensa Ibérica group , about the Alhama case , the situation with the Spanish team and the work that remains to be done in football female.
Two weeks of many emotions are coming with the Champions League tie in two large stadiums.
With a lot of desire, a lot of desire. As a footballer, you love these moments: the semifinals of a Champions League, Chelsea, Stamford Bridge... It's a team. I don't know how to explain it, but as soon as the Atlético de Madrid game happened, I was like: Ah! Now I focus on this one! [series].
You meet Chelsea again, whom you beat in the final of the first Champions League.
That final, understand me... We also played our final and look how it went. It is a new circumstance that you live. The game doesn't go as you had planned. I have not prepared it with anything concrete or special. Simply, it is Champions and you know that it is final, after final, after final. I also imagine that Chelsea will be very keen. I no longer know if they looked at it as revenge or not revenge. That we won a game, a final, they are not the same team and neither are we. They have eliminated Lyon, it is the reality. I am here smiling because I really want to and I am very happy, but this is going to be hard.
When you go to Europe and see great teams and how they are managed in a similar way to Barça . When do you see that here, in the Spanish league, there are cases like Alhama's?
You feel sorry and angry. I mean, it's a shame you have to live a situation like this at this point in life, in the first division. It's sad that you have to live this and it's angry for the same. I don't know, I don't want to get involved... But this is the first division... We don't know how much everyone is ready and prepared. In general, players, staff... We don't know what baggage they carry, what level of professionalism there is. And I believe that this does not happen in other leagues, I think. I don't know, because I don't live it, but it's not what it seems. With these things it continues to show that there are still many shortcomings and you realize that we continue with this fight.
How real is the professionalization that you were promised?
To be a professional you still have to change many things. Maybe to professionalize, the first thing is to call him, the same. But it's not enough for us just to call him. Many things have to be changed. With all due respect, but there are some fields where you can't play because it doesn't look like the First Division. In addition to the specific economic situations, the physical, psychological and mental preparation, the help that the clubs have... there are many things behind this. So that I can perform every weekend or the Champions League match I have to rest well, I have to eat well, which unfortunately is not cheap.
And how do you stay when the League says that soccer players have to live on 16,000 euros a year?
Of course, yes, with juggling. Look, I, in these things, I mean… It's dramatic. 16 thousand euros and you can't work outside the club and, if you can, let's see what the club tells you. And I also imagine that with the 16,000 euros you will have to save, buy a car... And in the future you will also have children and you want to eat healthy. I'm going to Hogwarts, to see if their secret chamber with money appears to me, because... I'm kidding because in the end I take it ironically, but it's not something that makes me laugh. I from my privileged position, but I imagine that the girls who are in this situation, it is not an easy situation. I'm not saying that 16,000 euros isn't money, and things can be done, but you can't live professionally with that.
It is incongruous that it is said that the objective is to professionalize when the means are not provided.
I want this league to be as competitive as possible, but if the player I'm going to play against doesn't have the conditions to get the most out of it, that's going to make the League not as competitive as it could be, because it's not you have the conditions for it. They are details, that must be changed, that they will fight for it to be changed and that we hope that the work will be rewarded. Let's see if, insisting and insisting, we manage to change these things.
Do you feel the pressure of having to be champions of change as well as footballers?
It is normal that we have part of the responsibility, since we are the visible face and we are surely people who can help others who are at a point where they need help so that people react. Even if you are in a situation, it is difficult to raise your voice in a certain way because you say: if I raise my voice, I will leave. We have part of the responsibility, it is true, but there is another that is like: Do I have to be saying that a person cannot have these conditions in order to be a professional? I mean, do you really think that this woman has the perfect and ideal conditions to get the most out of it? It surprises me.
Is something similar happening in the national team? You ask for changes, but they don't come because you are still willing to miss the World Cup. Now that there has been a concentration, and there are colleagues who have returned, have you felt sorry for not going?
It makes you even more angry. In the end, I know what we're fighting for. Of course he fucks. I have spent years, and I will allow myself to say this, in high performance, and I think I have earned being in the national team. That in the end that reward, to this day, is not going to take me pleasant is not. But in the end I think that in the end you have to be aware of why you are doing this and that the focus does not go away. This for me is not a tantrum and if someone believes it, they do not understand absolutely nothing of the message that is trying to be sent. There are things that are very clear to me, I need some changes, if those changes do not take place, then I have to assess whether or not I want to continue with the situation as it is.
Do you think that the speech has asked for strength with the events that have been happening?
They are looking for different ways to try to solve it. In the end, it is obvious that during this time there have been few seemingly visible changes. I imagine and understand that there are people who want to look for other paths. In the end, it is true that each of us has a way of thinking about how to resolve the situation. I hope that the message is not weakened, because in the end it is the same. People who are outside and don't have all the information, say: "Oh, that's strange! They're coming back, but everything is the same!" I can understand that there are people who cause confusion. I suppose and I hope that everyone is calm with their conscience, that they are sure of their decisions. I am sure of mine. It is having clear ideas and they are situations and ways to act and control your anxiety and desire.
How has all of this affected you? Personally.
Of course I don't want to miss out on the opportunity to play in a World Cup, of course not. But there are some things that need a process. Things are not done from one day to the next, but then maybe it would be a tantrum. It is not: "I want the toy on the shelf, and I want it now." I'm fine. I think that when you are so calm with yourself that what you are doing is because you really believe that it is what you have to do. That I may be wrong, eh, but it's what I feel and it's what I have to do. Just because it's okay doesn't mean I don't care. I am calm with myself, I know what my body is asking for. This also entails some risks, of course, but I am focused on Barça, on the Champions League semi-finals and on the League, which is well on its way. I'm happy. I am focused on the club and it can be seen that things are being done well, that the project that they have been creating for years is bearing fruit. I am happy where I am.
Are we normalizing your success?
Yeah! Yes we have already won! [laughs]. There are many people who will think that by having been to three finals in four years, I understand that we have a certain point that we have it on track. It is normalizing and what we are doing is not normal at all. There will come a time when we will lose and that's it. In Turin, Lyon told us: "hey, not yet." Well nothing.
That moment seems distant, you are subscribed to victory.
The most important thing is to win, get the three points. Obviously being here, at Barça, not only that matters, but the ultimate goal is always to win. You have to win and that's what's difficult at this club. It's not worth just winning, but it's like winning. Now we have to play against Chelsea, which is going to be tough. In the end, everyone who thinks that this is done is the one who will fall, the one who will hit the curb, because this is how it is. We have to be very focused, knowing what the match is, because the English are going to push and we have to get a great result in the first leg so that the second leg at the Camp Nou has a correct result. If Chelsea has something, it's that they have scored two goals from half an opportunity. That people do not think that it is done.

Andrea Martinez : model, winner of the Miss Universe Spain competition and business administration graduate, the young woman from León took advantage of her husband Kepa Arrizabalaga's return to Spain to resume her professional projects. With determination: wherever you are tomorrow, your career will develop.
Projects accumulate in Andrea Martinez's head. After winning the Miss Universe Spain competition in 2020, life in the United Kingdom in the midst of the Brexit period with her life partner, Kepa Arrizabalaga (goalkeeper of Chelsea), kept her on edge until they returned to Spain. She continues to work as a model, planning to start two companies - including a clothing brand - and expanding her social media. And according to what she tells us in this interview, she will take it wherever the world of football takes her. Her professional development will not stop.
At 30, your CV covers everything from studying Business Administration and Management to being a basketball player and, most importantly, a model. What is your current professional situation?
I find myself in a mixture of everything. The last two years in London, with Brexit, I've been quite slow. But now, back in Spain, I'm at a point where I want to share everything that's on my mind and I can: I'm back in fashion, I'm starting two small businesses, I'm also going to start working with social media … and well, whatever comes out.
So let's talk about the clothing brand you are involved with ...
I have been interested in fashion since I was 17, when I started working as a model, and fashion has always attracted my attention, also from a business point of view. I've noticed that all women's suits are more or less the same, and I like them to be a little more varied. When looking for a suit of this type, you need to go to high fashion brands that ordinary people cannot afford. This is what I want to do, also with dresses.
At first glance, this project seems like the perfect combination of your role as a model with your studies.
Yes, exactly. When I do a photo shoot or walk the runway, I look at the entire organization behind it, all the processes a brand has to go through to get there and put on a show. And that was something that really interested me. That's why I worked in Milan, in the Armani offices, because I'm very interested in the world of fashion from the inside. So, without a doubt, my knowledge of administration and business management helps me a lot.
Beauty pageants also have their opponents. What is your opinion and what did winning Miss Univero Spain mean to you?
I think that the critics' opinion is to some extent based on previous years, when many things were done incorrectly. Today, Miss Universe wants to raise the value of women, strong, independent, powerful, intelligent women with big ambitions. I would say to those who are not supporters of this competition that they should sit down for a moment and simply listen to women's voices, because each candidate from each country has a very powerful social project behind her. This is something very powerful that benefits women. The win was like a rebirth for me because we had come out of the pandemic stage. The sudden rediscovery of who Andrea was, what she wanted to do, gave me life, gave me light.
Your modeling career has taken you to places such as Dubai, Paris and Milan. From the outside, everything looks impressive. How much work is behind it?
There is a lot of work, especially mental work. The ability to accept one "no" after another … it's easier to say "no" than "yes". Also, especially when I was younger, the thing about diets … you have to have a lot of mental strength. Before, some people didn't have much tact and might call you fat or a cow. As a 19-year-old, you have to know how to deal with it and not let it damage your personality.
Returning to your many facets. You came to present many contradictions …
I have always been a very anxious girl. I never had a special calling, but I liked touching all sectors. And that's how it has stayed with me to this day, which is why I take on every new project that seems at least a little interesting to me, I pursue it with all my might and put my whole soul into it. I think I enjoy the process of achieving something more than once. My family is in the opposition and I decided to take the exams to become a finance technician and later be promoted to inspector. I did well on my first exam, but during the process I realized that I wouldn't be able to spend eight hours in an office doing the exact same thing all the time for the rest of my life. That's why I decided to pursue other options.
And then there is the basketball player aspect. How far have you come in this sport?
I played from the age of 5 to 18. I played in two Spanish championships with team from Castilla y Leon and was selected in the Spanish pre-selection. It was my passion, it gave me values and teamwork that are very useful to me today. I left it when I had to consider : studies or sports.
A look at Instagram shows that sports are very present in your life.
I love nature-related activities, such as horse riding. Now I also do yoga, so that I can get to know myself a little better and calm down the rhythm of my thoughts. I love cycling, every time I go to Leon I ride a bike, of course it also helps me keep fit. I started to have contact with diving a few years ago and it is a world that fascinates me.
Also on Instagram, we saw you saying goodbye to London and giving thanks for the years you spent there. Do you see yourself in a few months saying, "Hello, here we are again?"
In football you don't know what will happen to you tomorrow, so our options are always open. Whatever comes will be good and I will be happy, it will be a new stimulus and I will be happy to have a new challenge.
As a footballer's wife, it is not easy to make careers compatible. What is your feeling: you accompany Kepa in his sports life and you need to take a break for a better moment, or maybe you are both able to develop professionally?
I think there is no better time than today. And in football, as I say, we never know where we will end up. I am very proud of my husband's career and regret that I cannot accompany him throughout his career. I'm not going to sacrifice family life or life with my husband, because I can do it perfectly well from a distance - technology makes the world smaller. Due to my restless or overly ambitious personality, perhaps I couldn't just accompany him all the time to leave out everything has to do with me, because that would mean losing my own life. So whenever I can, I will develop my projects.
You are still connected to León not only sentimentally. You also visit from time to time and participate in public life.
León is my city. I was born and raised there, I love it very much, my family is there. And above all, I love participating in Holy Week, which enjoys international tourist interest. I always promote what I can about my city, giving a helping hand, highlighting the careers of women supporting the fight against cancer. It's my home, it's my family and everything I can contribute, I'm happy and more than that, I love enjoying my city.

Can you say what do you think the characters did after the graduation?
I’d love to!
Just a warning that some of it might not be super well thought out. As a kid I didn’t give it much thought, I just knew they would do music and assumed it was preforming. Now that I’m thinking of it as an adult, I’m thinking of more nuanced ideas.
so here we go!
Broduey - Dancer/Choreographer/Dance Instructor. This was the easiest for me to decide on. Broduey doesn’t have that many defining traits sadly but one thing that is consistent is his passion for dancing. I think he’d make quite the career out of being a dancer and choreographer for big time names, someone really sought after. And I think later on once his professional career winds down, he’d open up a dance studio where he can teach.
Maxi - Music Producer. This one was super easy too because he does this so much during the show and it is what he’s most passionate about and gets the most enjoyment and fulfillment from. I went back and forth with him about dancing because he’s so good but I eventually settled on music producer because, of the two, it seemed the most important to him.
Naty - Songwriter. Hands down, this girl goes on to write some marvelous songs and has a brilliant career. I also think it’s be cool if she wrote a few plays because her actress apparently did so too. She writes with León, Violetta, Ludmila, and all of them because I refuse for them to loose touch.
León - Solo career singer. As much as the band was a big part of his story in Season 3, I’ve already sent them on different directions. León gets to be a solo artist and he just rocks it because have you seen Jorge in the tours??? He’s so entertaining it’s not even funny.
Federico - Solo career singer. And a successful one at that, especially in Italy. He’s just too charming and talented to not get signed again by another label. It’d be cute if he did concerts with Fran while they were both in Italy.
Francesca - Solo career singer. There is no doubt that once she wasn’t tied to the studio, Francesca had numerous labels clamoring for her to sign with them. She had what, three offers in the last two seasons? She is probably Italy’s darling; a big deal in Europe. People all over have at least heard of her.
Diego - Songwriter and guitarist. This one was hard. I always saw him as a performer but season 3 made me unsure. I knew he liked being on stage still but he just didn’t strike me as the kind to continue in that vein of the music industry anymore. Then I heard someone say he could be a songwriter and all the sudden it clicked. So I think he’d be a songwriter because he definitely seems more comfortable in that area. He’d collab with Naty a lot and if Diego and Fran stay together (🤞) he’d come with her on tours and play in her band.
Violetta - Solo career singer and songwriter. So this one I went back and forth on. Then I decided on both because why not? I think she’d have a very successful career as solo artist in Latin America on the larger scale or just Argentina on a smaller scale, not out there beyond her continent. I think that eventually though, she’d slow her career down and do songwriting more (plus she writes some spectacular songs so she could totally do it). This could probably be because she and León start a family and she doesn’t want to spend as much time on tour.
Camila - singer, songwriter, actress. So this was tough until I decided to give her them all. I agonized until I realized that Cami would probably just do all three. I can just see Cami on something like Broadway(ha!) doing acting and singing but also having a career as a songwriter. And if anyone would try to make it all work, Camila Torres would.
Andres - studio musician. Andres was hard because he doesn’t get a lot of focus when it comes to his music from what I remember (I’m still rewatching s1 after years). But he is consistently on the drums or some form of instrument when preforming instead of out there dancing. So I feel like if he did take a musical career, he’d be a studio musician, where they play for the songs of artists that aren’t a band. I have this headcanon that he is a beast on the drums.
Ludmila - Solo career singer. So this one was my hardest. And even now I’m not too sold on it. I think Ludmila finds great comfort in music but I also think that she was pushed a lot by her mother into the career she wanted her to have instead of allowing her to discover what she wanted herself. So if Ludmila does end up as a singer, I think it’d be a small one. Actually, this is kinda weird but maybe she’d become a writer??? Idk that just popped up out of nowhere.
