Shit... here we go again...
Tumblr media
It's okay, buddy, you can hate us while we don't care.
But let me break it down for you...
Threatening a village itself is actually not a form of colonization... it's just making people fear you if you don't do what they want. That is called intimidation. Not colonization.
Colonization is when you come in, change laws, takeover land, and force the natives and non natives to uphold your standards, traditions, culture etc... which is also eerily like subjugation. But I mean, who is really paying attention here.
As far as Ozai goes, yeah, he was definitely a tyrant and a conquer that practiced Genocide. Genocide is not colonization either, by the way. It's murder of an entire culture and their people because they either pose a threat or they are in the way, but you don't seem to know the difference on that either.
But back to Zuko.
Zuko, who only threatened but did not try to take over the water tribe because he wanted the Avatar. Again... Zuko didn't hurt anyone. He threatened, got the Avatar, and left. No one got hurt (maybe Sokka, but that's because Sokka put himself in the position to get hurt), and that's that. Actually, I can count on one finger all the times that Zuko actually hurt anyone physically. Intentionally or not. I may be overlooking some things, but I have to go back and watch the whole series, and I really don't have time right now. Got a festival to get ready for, ya know?
Anyway, yeah, you seem to be confusing things yet again. Please, do the world a favor. Open a history book or maybe even a dictionary.
Sincerely,
A Historical Fiction Writer who does a heck of a lot of research on this shit and has a degree in English.
Make it make sense.

If a person is nice to you but blatantly rude or unkind to anyone who is:
▪︎ Poor
▪︎ Fat
▪︎ Disabled
▪︎ Ugly
▪︎ Sick
They are not actually nice. They are terrible and you just fit into their cultivated disguise or haven't outlived your usefulness to them.
Yet.

Why do you people get so mad when someone tells you incest is bad? 🤨📸
Hey Dumbass Anon,
We get mad when morons like you come at us because we're fully aware that incest is nearly always wrong in real life, but that has absolutely nothing to do with shipping it in fictional circumstances. You idiots fail to understand that there's a huge difference between FICTION and REALITY, and that enjoying something in fiction doesn't mean condoning it in reality.
Plenty of people are fans of gory films and shows like the Saw series, Hannibal, Dexter, any slasher flick, or even Game of Thrones or The Boys, but only an utter imbecile would believe that those people approve of murder, torture, cannibalism, and so on in the real world. Part of the point of fiction is to allow us to explore dark, dangerous, and/or taboo topics in a safe environment, after all. So why is so hard for you absolute walnuts to understand that this applies to things like Wincest as well?
In addition, the reasons why real-life incest is almost always horrible don't actually apply to Wincest anyways. Sam and Dean are consenting adults who can't have offspring with each other, so there's no possibility of child abuse, rape, or inbreeding. No one at all, whether fictional or real, is getting hurt by fantasizing about these two characters being in a romantic and/or sexual relationship.
Whereas by your ignorant "logic," nearly every major ship in SPN is problematic in some way: any ship with angels or demons involves rape if the vessel is still alive or necrophilia if the host is dead, any ship between a human and any kind of supernatural creature most likely involves major age gaps and/or power imbalances, necrophilia if the creature is undead, and possibly some form of bestiality, and so on. So why aren't you jackasses also going after shippers of Destiel, Sastiel, Sabriel, Denny, and so on?

My tortoise, Oscar, he is a Hermann's tortoise and is currently hibernating. We don't know his age, but we think it's around 75-80ish. How do I know he's a male? Male tortoises have shorter tails and a curved undershell.

Hi there!! I've recenrly read about a new surge of hate towards some artists. This fandom is delirious... Do you mind explaining what happened?
Hi nonnie,
From what I understand, FairyLoot commissioned a new set of TOG covers and what not from two artists, and received a lot of backlash from the fandom. There were a lot of comments saying very hurtful and cruel things about the artists’ work (which is absolutely unacceptable). As a result, many artists have decided to step away from the SJM fandom, which I can’t blame them because this fandom is so toxic. Why Sarah and BB have let it go on like this is beyond me but that’s another issue.
I am not an artist, so I don’t want to speak for them, but the whole situation is atrocious. I think people love the anonymity that comes with the internet and are willing to say awful things they wouldn’t in person.
I encourage everyone to continue to support the amazing artists out there. Share their work, amplify their words, and just be fucking kind. Behind the screen, they’re still humans with feelings.

"Some of you really need to chill about Palworld" not as in "this looks like the best game ever and the lead dev totally strikes me as an upstanding beacon of creativity and earnestness and definitely not an obnoxious fad-chasing edgelord at all" but as in "'some guy is an obnoxious fad-chasing edgelord' does not warrant sucking Nintendo's dick to clamor for legal action that would absolutely devastate indie gaming and art as a whole"

If you have an irrational fear of criticism. Perhaps it would be in your best interests to actively avoid it for your own mental health? I’ve recently witnessed some individuals become so defensive that they tried to project their own negative emotions onto others. In which case, they are only making themselves more miserable by sending condescending anon messages, obsessively scouring fandom tags/other people’s pages, and comment responses looking for something to be upset about. Getting angry enough to do things like this makes it apparent that this is very much a ‘you’ problem and not a fandom issue.
---
Criticism is not anti behavior. I’m going to try my best to explain the difference. Hopefully this will clear things up a bit.
---
A critic will elaborate and break down their opinions in an attempt to get other people to understand their point of view. This is usually done on their individual page and will be tagged to the appropriate fandom/s in question. If a criticism post has been tagged incorrectly, kindly inform the author about the issue. Block the new criticism tag, or the author in question if you don’t want to be exposed to anything more.
Criticism might be annoying to see sometimes, but it can also give you an opportunity to learn something new or view things from a different perspective.
People who genuinely enjoy something are not going to stop doing so just because of some random stranger’s thoughts on the subject. More often than not fandom decline comes from someone simply losing interest and moving on to another fandom. Thinking otherwise might be a bit delusional.
---
Anti behavior is invasive. These people will go out of their way to express their hatred for something by directly commenting on other people’s posts/fanworks. They act entitled as if it’s justified to want the content gone. They will try to harass people in an attempt to get them to leave the community. If that doesn’t work, they may go as far as attempting to socially cancel you with lies, or other ignorant statements. When writing their own posts, antis will condemn others for liking content that they do not. They will insult people, or label them as something inappropriate in order to give them a sense of superiority as if they are taking the moral high ground by being mean to other fans.
Keep in mind that most people are afraid to voice their opinions because of people who act like this.
Anti behavior absolutely should not be tolerated under any circumstances. Don’t allow such people to ruin your fandom experience. Block on sight and move on.

Please remember that The Boys is a fictional show. It's not real. If you can't separate the actions of a character from the person whose playing said character then you have no business watching the show. It's make believe. Don't confuse reality with a make believe world. If and I can't stress this enough, if you can't separate fake from real then you have no business watching shows, especially a dark show like The Boys. Learn to tell the difference or go outside. It's that simple.

so i've seen a couple people when on the topic of reboots and revivals point out shows like mlpfim or the looney tunes show ... yeah that's not right. mlp and looney tunes are franchises i get so livid everytime i have to explain to someoje that LOONEY TUNES IS NOT A SHOW!!!!! looney tunes is multiple different shows and movies and comics based on old cartoons from the 30s-60s. a reboot or a revival is a renewal of an older show. A SHOW. a show with a premise and plot. a franchise is like, tmnt, i wouldn't call anything from there a "reboot" because like... it'll ALWAYS be different everytime someone makes a new show or movie about it. a reboot doesn't necessarily do that and a revival (which i'm using as "continuation" here) CERTAINLY shouldn't do that. the... animaniacs reboot is a strange case because... while it is a revival, it still? like? doesn't really understand the MAIN CHARACTERS? sorry to everyone who likes the animaniacs reboot i'm like super respectful if that's just something u enjoy but like. man, the animaniacs reboot is a different post entirely and it's not going to be entertaining becauee it will be complaints the whole time besides for the parts of the show i actually liked. anyway that's it, i just saw someone call mlpfim a reboot and was like nuh uh no way bibbity bop kazam.

Quite hypocritical to think of yourself as being dragonkin(and not being able to prove it so we have to simply accept it) but criticise people who think they are from a different planet or star system ( aka ' starseeds ')
I see someone didn't even bother to read what I've actually said on the subject before sending off an angry anon. How classy. 🤣
I have stated multiple times that believing oneself to be an alien being isn't the problem. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with being alienkin.
The issue with starseeds is the racism, colonialism, cultural appropriation, and genocide that the entire idea is built on and enables. The issue is the way people are being told that being a starseed means that they have special wisdom and a special mission to convert others to New Age ideology. The issue is that they're being told that they know more about Indigenous spiritual traditions than actual Indigenous people do. The issue is the way this ideology is ultimately tied into far right conspiracy theories. I don't care if people are alienkin. I do care if they go around telling other people that Jewish people are actually blood drinking aliens, because that's blood libel and total bullshit.
Furthermore, the concept of starseeds is being used to deny the reality of autism and ADHD in people who aren't even otherkin. Children are being denied access to care and resources that could actually help them, and are being told that they have a special mission to save the world instead. These people are being harmed by this.
So a thing is, when I tell people that I'm dragonkin, I don't try to impose any kind of special meaning or significance upon it. I don't tell people that me being dragonkin means they have give to special weight to my unverified personal gnosis, believe in reincarnation, or even believe that being "dragonkin" is anything other than a purely psychological phenomenon. I don't use it to act like it gives me special insight or an inroad into cultures and spiritual traditions I'm not part of. I don't spin conspiracy theories to explain my experiences or the relative lack of literature on non-human identities.
If you can't tell the difference between what I'm claiming and doing, and what New Agers are claiming and doing, that's a you problem. And do I suggest actually reading my pinned post before talking out of your ass again.

my fanfic yaoi ""gays"" is just a het relationship where theyre both men but one has a vag.
the gay couple down the street from me are human real life people and so i see and treat them as human real life people.
