think about how many romances or just sleeping around that other males got to be in. There’s Stefan/Damon that share Elena/Rebekah and Katherine/Caroline (Now i do think these shouldn’t count because of sexual assault in TVDU but given that the narrative writes these off…count these for the moment..) Stefan had Valerie as well. Matt had Caroline/Rebekah and Nadia + his short-term engagement…Jeremy and his deadly girlfriends Vicki/Anna/Bonnie…

Writing issues and shipping thoughts aside for years/seasons Tyler was placed with Caroline ONLY. From late season 2 until season 5. Then Tyler gets Liv in season 6 until she died. Then in the time-jump we don’t know anything about Tyler’s life since leaving MF. The writers intentionally chose not to develop Tyler. It was never about “relevancy” and “staleness” to said character. Tyler just never got that same treatment once your faves got their popularity boost off of him. A lot of you fans hate admitting that your faves benefitted from a level of privilege other characters either lost or never had to begin with.

Like damn, Tyler couldn’t be with anybody else but Caroline in his 6 season run? Not that Caroline(or anyone in Barolena) should’ve been cheated on for that matter but Tyler found Rebekah attractive, Hayley certainly gave off the energy of a girl with a crush. If he dated Bonnie suddenly TVDU would’ve cared about friends dating each other exes..Liv was certainly an afterthought just as much as Bonenzo is. But, damn NOBODY else huh? Mind you Tyler is villainzed when the show aired & still to this day by KCers and Caroline fans for something Klaus made up in Caroline’s very gullible head at that time. When the only women who are cheated on in TVDU is Bonnie & Qetsiyah which is a different mess to unpack.

I can understand the point of view of Will antis who are mi*evens, like, it makes sense And even if I disagree with their takes i can understand where they came from. But being a Will anti and shipping byler ? 😭This ship in canon (for now, i don't know about the next season and i'm not optimistic) is carried only by Will, how Mike stans can despise Will and his arc and still shipping him with Mike ? I'm begging some of you to make your own male Mike's love interest because to me it seems you only wants Mike to be gay but not actually in love with Will since you have to criticize every aspect of his character/storyline.
