Lee Know Rising Sign Analysis

I didn’t quite make this in time for his birthday, but it’s still Scorpio season, so it’s not a complete miss. Anywho, it’s been widely discussed, but I’m here to put my two cents into the universe of Lee Know’s rising sign. As we know, Minho has said he was born at 8, but did not specify morning or night. So we’re looking at him being either a Gemini or Scorpio Rising. My hypothesis going in is that he’s a Gemini ascendant, but I’m willing to be convinced otherwise.

Full Disclaimer: Most of my knowledge is by traditional astrology, which involves but is not limited to: using whole signs, excluding Uranus-Pluto for natal charts, different sign rulers, and different planetary interpretations. Astrology is subjective by nature; I do not think my way is best, simply that this is the version of interpretation that makes the most sense to me. This is not a professional service, simply a hobby meant for entertainment purposes only. Feel free to disagree with or question my conclusions.

Step 1: Groundwork

Unlike Jongho, I found Lee Know’s ground rules a bit harder to establish. Not to imply he’s not as dynamic, but rather that I think Lee Know plays things a little closer to the chest. That being said, here’s what I came up with:

Lee Know has a public facing profession

Associated placements: 6th (work) /10th house (profession) aspecting Sun

Lee Know’s job has to do with the arts

Associated placements: 10th house Pisces/Leo/Cancer/Libra or aspects with such

Lee Know is known for his 4D personality

Associated placements: Mercury poorly placed/aspected/ruled

Lee Know’s strongest skillset is his dancing

Associated placements: Not dissimilar to point #2, but a bit more emphasis on the Venus placement. Venus-Mars aspects as well

Lee Know is a cat mom >:3

Associate placements: 6th house/Virgo placements IMO, but I’ve seen lots of discourse about Gemini/Taurus/Cancer also being indicators, so like, pick your poison on that one.

Lee Know is a bit…tsundere. That is to say, he is not always direct with his affection and sometimes hides it with aggression xD

Associated placements: Moon or Venus in 6th/8th/12th

Step 2: Comparison

Instead of just going by pros and cons, since we only have two signs to compare, I’ll take this point by point for each.

Rising: Gemini

Time: 8 PM

Point 1: ✔️ Gemini Rising would give his Scorpio Sun placement in the 6th house

Point 2: ✔️ 10th house Pisces, being ruled by Jupiter in Pisces no less! Although the Jupiter is in retrograde, I would say overall this is incredibly well placed for an artist

Point 3: ✔️ Mercury in the 6th house. Although I think Scorpio Mercury can be quite fun, this placement hides it a bit

Point 4: ✔️ Scorpio Venus is in the 6th house, being ruled by Minho’s Mars in Virgo

Point 5: ✔️ Hello, 6th house stellium. His Mars in Virgo is actually fighting this

Point 6: ✔️ Venus in 6th house again. His Moon in the 7th actually becomes a saving grace in this case.

Rising: Scorpio

Time: 8 AM

Point 1: ✔️ Although this is almost closer to half points, Leo is ruled by the Sun, so we do have a Sun/10th house connection

Point 2: ✔️ Full points this time for the Leo in the 10th house

Point 3: ❌ So Minho’s Mercury in Scorpio is in the 1st house, forming no immediately negative aspects, nor is combust his Scorpio Sun. Perhaps his Capricorn 3rd house would be at play here, but it’s a weak argument

Point 4: ✔️ Minho’s Venus switches to Libra with this time, despite it’s 12th house placement, I’d call it as meeting the criteria here

Point 5: ❌ No 6th house placements (Aries this time), and even if we extend out to Taurus-Cancer, his Saturn in Taurus doesn’t help anything

Point 6: ✔️ Venus in the 12th house this time: it being in Libra becomes the savior on this one

Final Conclusion:

Ultimately, I’m going to call my opinion officially in favor of Gemini Rising. Not only for the points listed above, but I have a hard time buying Minho as a Sun in the first house kinda guy (even taking the opposed Saturn into consideration). Furthermore, I really love the idea that he and Bang Chan would have the same rising sign, with Chan’s chart operating far more out of the 5th house, it still leads to a connecting point between the two of them.

So from here on out, I will be willing to do astrology content with Lee Know under this assumption.

I am using traditional astrology and I am interpreting Lee Know’s house placements as if he is a Gemini Rising, it’s unconfirmed if that is his Rising Sign but it most likely is.

I'm in love with you and all these little things...

Lee Know as a boyfriend is the type who’s heart burns brightly but his love shines quietly and his patient and ‘slow-burn’ approach to love is what makes him a beautiful partner for someone who is a late bloomer.

There wouldn’t be a lavish outburst of love and affection but instead he loves with his presence, that’s the beautiful part about having a Scorpio Venus is when they love you, you can feel that enduring love and presence by simply having him next to you.

When you’re sitting next to him on the couch…you’ll feel his love…when you’re in public and he lightly touches your wrist…you’ll feel his love…when he’s spooning you in the early hours of the morning…you’re going to feel his love.

And when I say Lee Know has a ‘slow-burn’ approach to love…I mean it’s a SLOW-BURN approach and he’d be the type to yearn for you for months before even offering a hint of affection because his Scorpio Mercury makes him prone to over-thinking and over-analysing all your interactions with him.

He’s the type to ask you out by stating along the lines of…’I have liked you for a long time now and I’ve been trying to show you but you haven’t figured it out and so now I need to tell you’...to which you’d probably say ‘You like me? I thought you were just being friendly’ to which he’d probably say…’I have been trying to flirt with you for the past year now’.

Lee Know masks very well so he’ll probably come off as cool and collected when deep down, he’s all jittery and nervous with excitement because he has thought of every possible outcome of how this situation could end.

(I’m playing Spotify and Little Things by One Direction just started playing and it’s perfect because it’s so Lee Know coded- it really is the little things with him).

When you tell him you don’t have much experience or have never been in a relationship, he won’t be discouraged but instead will cherish the connection more because his Sagittarius Moon means he values honesty and transparency.

You have felt that he is important and caring enough to reveal this information too so therefore he'll do his best to keep reassuring you that yes, he is the right person and you made the right decision by allowing him to be your first.

The relationship would start off with timid acts of reassurance like sending you messages asking if you've eaten dinner or sending you pics of the meal he's made.

And then...maybe a month later he'll invite you to stay over in his apartment and you'll take the bed while he sleeps on the couch because Lee Know understands you have to learn to trust him, you have to learn to get used to his presence.

Lee Know's control issues indicate he doesn't like being startled so physical affection will be on his terms, he'll want to initiate the first kiss or the first make-out session because his Virgo Mars means EVERYTHING has to be perfect for the moment.

A service dom (he's a switch technically but heavy dominant preference) to the MAX!!! and a lover of body worship...

He might not be the type to gush and fawn but he'll make sure the bedroom is littered with your favourite candle that you absent-mindedly mentioned to him a few months prior that he remembered.

The corruption kink would then slowly creep it's way into Lee Know's affections for you because he can't help but get off on the idea that it's HIS hands, HIS mouth and HIS words that are marking your soul and that even if the relationship doesn't last...there's a piece of your soul that belongs to HIM, an experience you can't share with anyone else.

'Aww kitten, you're so sensitive...no one has touched you this way before? Then let's keep this all for me then'.

And once you're physically intimate with each other, then that's when Lee Know's obsessive, possessive and jealous traits might pop out because in his mind, he taught you the ways of pleasure...so why would you share that with someone else?

He moulded you for him.

'Oh kitten, you want to go out and find someone else? Then you'll have to learn all over again and you've only just started'.

Lee Know is just as passionate a lover as Bang Chan but it's more expressed through actions which is why sex is an important love language for him as well.

With his Moon in the 7th House, it would be one of the few times where he could drop the mask and just reveal all his pent-up feelings towards you.

It's why I don't view Lee Know as hard dom/sadist material at all because sex would be a way of exploring feelings that he simply just can't verbalise on a regular basis.

When he's inside of you, when he feels the heat of you on his skin and he can see the trust in your glazed eyes and see your skin shivering from his touch...he would just be filled with overwhelming gratitude that it's HIM and only HIM to see you in such a vulnerable state.

And he'd wrap his arms around you, kiss your forehead and gaze lovingly into your eyes as he shows you the REAL Lee Know.

'My sweet kitten, you're the only one for me...I'm the first so I have to be the last...I have too...because there's no else for me but you, there will never be anyone else but you'.

These observations only apply to MC Persona Chart

✨ tl/dr: minho as your boyfriend will spoil the shit out of you and charm you until you can’t help but live and breathe him. he’s got to keep a grasp on you at all times- literally AND figuratively.

Sun in Scorpio: Sun signs are all about personality- the face you show the world! It is also the lens through which you usually see yourself and how friends would describe you.

• Scorpio has two planetary rulers- Mars and Pluto. Mars is the ruler of action and aggression, while Pluto is the ruler of transformation and rebirth. Scorpio is an amazing mixture of the two, as it embodies strong desires, innate control, and deep mental and supraphysical understanding.

• He is super protective over you. He’s always watching behind you as you do something to make sure you’re okay and no one is bothering you… And to be honest, I don’t think many people WOULD bother you, knowing you were the person with a psycho boyfriend (in a good way <3).

• He would bring you lunch any chance he got. If you were at work/school and he knew you hadn’t brought lunch or hadn’t had lunch that day, he’d definitely bring you something- whether he picked it up or made it himself. It also gives him an excuse to see you and check on you during the day.

• He knows when you are having a bad day. And he knows exactly how you need him to act in order to help you deal with it. When he senses something is wrong, he will pull you onto his lap in a hug and tell you to talk to him about it.

• Other people think he’s cold, but he’s definitely not with you. He loves you and nurtures you. He takes pride in knowing every part of you. He loves that there is a side of him that is specifically for you and not for the rest of the world. He’d like it if you were the same.

• He loves when the both of you have a chance to get dressed up. To look good for one another and just enjoy the other’s company.

• He loves nice dates, ones where he can make a grand gesture to make you feel loved and special.

• That’s why it was no surprise when he’d texted you earlier to dress up pretty for him and he’d be at your apartment to pick you up at 8.

• This was a monthly occurrence. Him surprising you with a nice date- and when I say nice, I mean NICE.

• Yes, you went on smaller dates a lot too, but he made it a priority to spoil you with something bigger at least once a month.

• So here you were, all dressed up in your favorite dark blue satin dress. It looked absolutely enchanting with it’s spaghetti strap and cowl neck top with a deep slit running up the side.

• You made sure to do your hair his favorite way- loose curls all brought to one side.

• You gave yourself one final look in the mirror, swiping on a glossy coat over your lip stain before heading out the door. Minho was already waiting on you downstairs.

• When he saw you like this, he always smirked.

• ‘Looking so beautiful all for me,’ he thought.

• Once you got to him, he just smiled at you, taking your hand in his.

• “Now, are you going to tell me where we’re off to?” you asked.

• “Shhh, you’ll see,” he kissed your hand, leading you out to the car.

• He always made sure to open the car door for you and make sure you were buckled before you took off.

• And of course he always had to rest one hand in his favorite spot- gripping onto one of your thighs. It was harder when you had a dress on, but he’d never let that stop him. He needed to always have a hold on you.

• Arriving at your destination, it was a quaint building you didn’t recognize. You’d never been here before, but it seemed to be a small restaurant with only a few (very nice) cars in the parking lot.

• The valet rushed to the car to speak with Minho and grab the keys.

• You smiled up at your boyfriend as he walked around to your side of the car, opening the door for you and taking your hand in his to help you stand.

• As you made your way toward the restaurant, he made sure to hold tightly to the one hand, while the other stabilized on your hip, making sure you were safe while ascending the few steps in front of you.

• “Hello, can I get your name please?” the host of the restaurant asked as you stepped inside. It was a beautiful restaurant- dark and sensual. There was very minimal lighting, but what they did have gave a beautiful warm glow. The sleek bar to the right shined bright from the sparkly crystal bottles aligning each of the shelves- luxury liquor only.

• “Lee,” he said, matter of factly, only taking a brief moment to look at the host. Tonight, his eyes were only on you.

• The host presented a big smile before stepping to the side and motioning for you to follow him. “Great, Mr. Lee. Right this way.”

• Minho let you walk just slightly in front of him, always watching your back to make sure he had a full view of you. One hand continued to rest on your hip. It was like it was glued there. He never wanted to lose contact with you.

• The host led you down one of the dimly-lit aisles and to the back of the building. Off to itself, he rounded a corner to lead to a beautiful, private, screened-in room in the back. It sat adjacent to a huge lake, which could be seen through the mesh netting of the “walls” that enclosed you. With the moon shining bright over the water and the stars on full display, it was a captivating view.

• Minho pulled your seat out for you to sit before pushing you in towards the table. You allowed yourself this moment to look around the beautiful secluded room. It was still dark like the interior of the building, with the nice, warm lighting. But there was an even more bewitching feeling to it through the beautiful scenery and soft music that was emanating from afar. It was absolutely breathtaking.

• If there was anything Minho knew how to do, it was how to wine and dine you. He made sure to start the evening with ordering a full bottle of your favorite reserve red wine. He loved the way you looked and smiled at him after a glass or two- how lovey dovey you got for him and how you began to try and charm him, getting all giggly, before the night was over with.

• He encouraged you to get whatever you wanted off the menu- even if it was the most expensive thing by far, he wanted you to have it. He was never going to let you pay anyways.

• Once you decided what you wanted, he always wanted you to tell him so that he could order for you. It wasn’t that he thought you were incapable of ordering for yourself, but he wanted you to know that you would always be taken care of when he was there. He didn’t want you to have to take your attention off of him for one second.

• Your heart always swelled as you watched him order- for some odd reason. And he never ordered just what the two of you wanted. No way. He made sure to always order at least 3 or so dishes so that you could share with each other and sample everything. He would make sure to have something on the table that his baby loved.

• Even if you were absolutely stuffed, if he noticed there was still wine in your glass, he would always order a dessert for the two of you to share. And although he wouldn’t admit it, this was also a way to extend his time out with you.

• He’d make sure to do all the gross romantic stuff with you, like feeding you a bite of the crème brulèe straight from his spoon. He definitely didn’t want to overdo it though and would NOT do it unless you two were in private.

• Suddenly, you saw his hands both in front of you and a cold sensation on your chest. You looked down to see a beautiful silver pendant resting just between your collar bones.

• “What’s this?” you asked, as you felt his hands secure the latch at the back of your neck.

• He walked to your side so that he could see your face and bent down, resting one knee on the ground.

• “Why don’t you look at it and tell me?”

• You picked the small-ish pendant up to examine it. On the front, in dainty cursive font read “LMH”. Lee Min Ho.

• The back had a single, small diamond implanted in it. Around it’s edges, it had a Latin phrase inscription. You read it aloud. “Aut viam inveniam aut faciam?” You tried to make the words out, looking to your boyfriend for confirmation.

• “That’s right jagi. ‘I will either find a way or make one’. For you.” He smiled up at you, as your looked at him with eyes of endearment. The love you had for this man was unbearable. You could hardly stand the emotions that he made you feel.

• He gently reached out for your hand, planting a gentle kiss to it, before standing up and motioning for you to do the same.

• Once you were upright on your feet, he leaned in next to your ear. “It looks beautiful on you, by the way,” he whispered seductively.

• You smirked, the boldness of the wine starting to manifest out of you. “I’ll keep it on for you later. Everything else is coming off,” you winked.

• His eyes grew large for a split second before turning himself so that he body was right up against yours. He swiftly let his hands wonder to your waist, then hips, then grab lightly at your ass.

• “That sounds perfect,” he planted a small, sweet kiss to your lips. “But that necklace is never coming off of you. Promise me. Promise me you’ll wear it at all times, and I’ll always be with you.” He looked at you, his face full of sincerity and genuine lust.

• “Anything for you,” you gave in to him before leaning in for another slow kiss.

• You knew that’s exactly what he wanted. For you to give yourself fully to him. You’d play around with him later, but for now, you would give yourself up. He knew you were his.

"Maybe if we don't have children yet I could split 60/40 with a stray animals foundation," you suggest, knowing that he loves donating to any good cause he could.

"60 goes to you?"

"No, to the animals jagiya," you chuckle, rinsing off the rest of the soap before he hands a towel for your hands. "You'd like to get a smaller percentage? Why is that?"

"I have a stable job, hopefully when you die my pension is in full effect," you explain the reasoning, "I wouldn't need much money when I'm old and wrinkly," you press a kiss against his lips, "But what if I die first?"

"Ah, 100% goes to the three," he juts his head towards the cats lounging about in the living room. That makes you laugh, light and calm in your chest as he smiles at you.

And in the back of your mind nothing would sever your connection with Minho.

Not even death.

A tired sigh escapes you as you strip your shoes off the foyer, neatly placing it on the small shoe rack awaiting before slipping on the slippers Minho left out for you. "Welcome home," he greets, donning an apron and holding a pair of cooking chopsticks.

"I'm home," you smile at him, skittling towards his direction before planting a kiss on his lips, "How was work?"

"It's been slower since promotions ended already. We just started to learn the choreography for our new title track but it wasn't so hard," he shrugs while guiding you to the dining area, table prepared with a pot of kimchijiggae and steaming bowls of rice. There's a few banchan around as you sit down with a wide smile on your face. "It looks so good!" you squeal in excitement, immediately taking your chopsticks as he chuckles and takes a seat across you.

"How's your work?" he asks while taking a serving before you hum in a sudden burst of energy, "Oh! The one I told you before, the Haeram dude," you immediately start, juicy gossip immediately on the table as his brows rise up, "Hm?"

"He let slip that his wife was threatening him with a divorce after he caught her having an affair," you narrate, scandalized, "I couldn't really fathom why he'd be so scared of her, but then I found out he made a mistake on the prenup," you sigh, feeling pity for the guy.

"Damn," Minho shakes his head, "Still, trash should be taken out no? As Changbin would say he should be a man of principles, not a doormat,"

"Yeah but I didn't want to break his poor heart further by saying all that Jagiya,"

"I'm going to your workplace on my day off," he pouts, heavily invested in this pitiful coworker of yours, new in years yet older in age. He's always been like that, heavily intrigued by the variety of people scattered around in your workplace.

Not like you mind, the gossip was fun.

Moon in Sagittarius - likes to indulge in activities that involve physical efforts. explains his affinity for camping and fishing.

"Jagi look!" he happily points out as you struggle to lift your head up, exhaustion washing over you as you grunt and try to follow where his finger is pointing, "The view is amazing,"

That's what you came here for, the view. In hindsight you hated hikes, moreover being outside in general but with that smile on Minho's face you couldn't help but simply indulge him in his hobby of finding secluded camping spots. "You okay jagi? Want to take a break?"

You huff out, breathless, "No, no, the site is right there," you take another step forward. Why was hiking so difficult? You weren't even carrying the bulk of your things, leaving you wondering how the fuck does Minho do it.

Reaching the peak of the mountain, you are breath-taken by the view, trees and the light fog covering the other side. Minho wasn't looking further down, happily setting the tent up while you rest and catch your breath. It wasn't too bad now that you were done walking and resting. "You like the view?" Minho's voice snaps you out of it as you smile, looking back at him, "I like you,"

As much as you liked the view of the mountain tops, you would never sacrifice a lazy Saturday for it. What you would sacrifice a lazy Saturday for however, is the one and only Lee Minho.

'A collar?' your mind helpfully supplies, a bit curious because Minho and the Lee family never really put collars on the cats.

"Hey Minho is the collar—" you reach out and stop mid-sentence, the plated gold of the name plate says 'I am Soonie. I would like Y/Nssi to be my honorary family member. Minho hyung likes you a lot,'

"Yeah the collar is new," his voice makes your heart breach out of your ribcage as he leans against the doorway, looking at you intently while you're crouched down to Soonie's level. "To be frank, putting that thing on took my entire morning,".

"I– Wh– What do you mean by this Minho?" you gently let go of the collar before standing up as he strides towards you, unwavering fire in his eyes, "Y/N-ah, listen to me well okay?"

He takes your hands into his and you don't know where to look, what to feel. "I like you. A lot and in a romantic sense, for how long, I have no idea. And I want to take it to a level where I can call you mine unapologetically,"

"Your...your idol status Minho," you couldn't help but whine, feeling overwhelmed at the information presented to you. "What about it? Y/N-ah, we can still live peacefully. I promise that,"

Another sentence out of your mouth and you'd officially break down, so you sob before pressing against Minho, hugging him before he encases his arms around you. "I'll... I'll gladly be Soonie's honorary family member," you sob out wetly making Minho laugh.

"Thank you," he presses a kiss to your temple, "Really,"

Hey, do you think Lee Know is a Scorpio or Gemini rising? Because I think if he's a Gemini rising, it would make him a Scorpio Venus which to me, fits better than a Libra Venus would.

I had the same instinct when I first saw the options several months ago, but then I wondered if having a 12th house Libra Venus would also be an acceptable explanation and kinda got derailed from forming a hard opinion on it. Now that I've had practice with Jongho's rising sign analysis, I feel better equipped to go back and try at Lee Know...
