literally just musing on this but back when the pjo movies came out when i was a teenager i’d only ever read the lightning thief and i Did Not Get why my friends were so mad about the movies aging up the main characters. could not see the issue at all. and then when i finally did watch the movies after having read all the books many times i was like Oh. yeah actually aging up the main characters is the single worst choice you could make in a pjo adaptation. and it’s not because i’m precious about adaptations and want them to stick exactly to the source material, it’s because the plot, themes, and emotional core of pjo all fundamentally hinge on the fact that the demigods, hero and villain alike, are children whose parents have abandoned them. luke’s whole backstory and motivation is that he was a scared little kid who needed his parents and they weren’t there for him and he couldn’t forgive them for that. he was able to raise an army out of all the kids who resented their deadbeat parents. percy turns down immortality in favor of (to paraphrase an iconic tumblr post) making the gods pay their child support. pjo has to be about 12-year-olds it simply does not make sense if the characters are old enough to live independently

I've had Tumblr almost 10 years but I have never done anything more than reblogged or liked posts. So here is my first own post. I would like to start sharing my art here now because Twitter sucks

Decided I wanted to give Tumblr another go since Twitter has become such a shit show and straight away fell head first into the Samuel Drake tag.
I don't know exactly why but Samuel Drake, Uncharted 4 & Uncharted The Lost Legacy have become a big, big comfort thing for me.
Seriously, I adore Sam a lot atm.
