okay i personally think this season should end with stede and ed being separated again, but this time, stede is forcefully taken away from the ship in some way (maybe the english or some pirate idk lol)

it would break my heart and i would cry because they don’t deserve to lose each other again, but i think this because while ed is somewhat back in the gang, he still traumatized the shit out of the crew and he’s only back because stede wanted him back.

ed has only been a nice person towards the crew when stede is around, and i think it could be incredible character development for him to know that stede loves him and he loves stede, but have to work with the crew to help get him back. he’d have to prove himself to the crew on his own and without knowing if stede would ever be able to return but knowing that stede loves him. i’d love to watch that dynamic play out lol
