“Leon what did you do?” Leon turns his head around and glares at his twin. 

“What makes you think I had anything to do with it?” 

Even behind the fake moustache and glasses Leon can still see the look Donnie shoots at him, one of “I don’t believe the shit you're telling me Nardo;  Leon scoffs and looks down at the angry looking tot who’s glaring at him. 

“With you?” He arches a sharpie brow.

Leon grins showing his teeth and a slight growl rumbles out. “I take offence at that”

“Mhm I’m sure you do. He says sarcastically” Donnie narrows his eyes at him, “so dear brother. What did you do?”

“I don’t do anything! Someone pointed and said something at him and then, poof” Leon hesitates to the tot standing near three empty trans darts. “He’s like 2 inches tall”

Donnie looks down and he furrows his brows while he bends, reaching for the tranqs. There was a sudden low hiss as Donnie got closer. They all froze and stared at CLeo. The tot was tense as he stared at the soft shell, sharp baby teeth on full display. Donnie stayed still and brought his hands up slowly as he backed away, it was like he was dealing with a stray animal. 

Leon doesn't see the difference really. 

“Can’t say I wasn’t expecting that considering.” The soft shell murmurs.  

And yeah, Leon can agree. CLeo is still giving Tello the cold shoulder and the older soft-shell is just sulking in his lab.

“Y’know, you're much more likeable like this” he grins as he reaches down, only to yelp and clutch his hand to his plastron. There’s some blood on his palm from where CLeo bit him.

“Can’t say you didn’t deserve that Nardo” Donnie chuckles as he crosses his arms, eyeing the tot warily. Yuichi hovers to the side of him as he looks at the tot. 

“Your not a turtle your a shark, you little ankle biter” CLeo looks up at him, face clean of CLeo’s own scars he wore as an adult; as well as his extra markings, all that was left in its place was the nick above his left eye and on the right side of his chin. Scars that have faded with time on Leon’s own face. 

CLeo growls and it’s the curliest thing he’s ever heard. Ignoring the dull ache in his hands he can help but coo, and it seems Yuichi and Donnie arnt  immune as well, Yuichi has a twinkle in his eye as he crouches and Leon can see Donnie pulling out his phone. 

Blackmail material, why didn’t I think of that. He muses. 

CLeo growls again and a chirp breaks free from Leon’s own mouth, shocking all of them. They all stare at each other before Donnie and Yuichi burst out laughing, Leon can feel his face heating up as he sinks into his hoodie. 

“Yeah yeah, laugh it up you asses” 

”Ha! This is too good” Donnie chuckles as he points his phone at Leon, grin spread wide. Leon can see Donnie mime ‘smile’ and Leon flips his finger at him. 

He looks so stupid with the fake moustache and glasses. Leon wished Mikey had taken paints to that Einstein outfit. 

“There’s no shame in it kappa” Yuchi chuckles softly and Leon’s face gets hotter. “It’s only instinct” he grins cockily -and he pointedly ignores the butterflies in his stomach- as he holds CLeo in his arms. 

The tot looks content and he blinks sleepily at Leon, even as a tot CLeo still has that sharp look in his eyes. And he stares from under heavily lidded eyes at him and Leon cant help the shudder run through his body, memories of the fights rushing to the forefront of his mind.

“Awww the ankle bitter still tired” humming smugly, forcing himself to ignore the flashes of memories.

“You did unload three tranqs into him. And he was just waking up before he was turned," Yuichi murmurs as he pulls the dozing tot closer. 

“What do you mean three?” Looking over to Donnie he sees the furrowed brows. “Well, you see” Leon rubs the back of his neck. 

“Nardo” the purple turtle growls as he slowly steps closer to Yuichi, bringing his gauntlet arm up to scan the tot. 

“Alright alright. Jeez” he clears his throat. “You said he couldn’t fight, you remember what happened last time someone was in his way” Leon points to both of them

“I remember very clearly,” his twin says. 

“And you gave me them for times like this” Leon throws his arms wide, gesturing to the fight going on.

“I did,  but what I didn’t expect my dumb dumb of a brother was to use all three at the same time” he bit out. 

Eugh boy. 

“C’mon, what harm can it do? Especially with his biology” he explains. 

“Sigh” Donnie rubs his temples having finished the scan. “Even so, Nardo. He’s a tot now, and even with his biology;  those tranqs were designed for someone who was bigger, not this” he points towards the sleeping tot in the rabbits arms. 

Leon falters. Cleo looks peaceful for once. 

“It's not like I meant to, how’d I know this was going to happen?” He growls, not liking the idea the Donnie thinks he did this on purpose. 

“I’m not saying you did, I’m just telling you that it could be dangerous, but luckily for us, it seems he had already burnt through the minority of it.” 

Leon cringes, already burnt through most of it. He had even been down for 15 mins. 

“I get it oaky, I’m not as stupid as you think” 

Donnie looks at him, really looks at him and goes to open his mouth but the beeping of his head gear stops him. Looking at his gauntlet he sighs. 

“Excuse me, lesser me is calling,'' with that, he turns away from them. 

“Ahh I was wondering when you’d call” Donnie drones.

Looking back at the rabbit  he sees Yuchi gently rocking the tot, humming softly as he stares down at the sleeping turtle. Leon blinks, heart fluttering. 

“You look happy” he jokes quietly, even with all the chaos going on around them, it’s peaceful. 

“Mhm I haven’t had to deal with children since I left Japan. Even in the Usagi clan there were always children running about. Since being older, I was usually the one having to wrangle them, they can be a lot but I enjoyed it. Always found a way to make me laugh.”

The smile Yuichi wore was gentle as he reminisced, the rabbit's ears twitched and a grin spread across his face.  Leaning his head to the side he leans closer to CLeo he chuckles. 

“Hey, c’mere” stepping closer he leans his head down. He doesn't hear anything at first, their surroundings filled with shouts and explosions but even so, the more he listens the more he can hear the soft purr. 

Oh he’s getting so much black tail material for this. 

“Think he remembers?” The rabbit asks. 

“What before he got turned?”  Leon eyes the tot, god he hopes he doesn't remember. 

Yuchi aborts his shrug so he doesn't describe the turtle, “ before, after.”

“Mhm I don’t plan to stick around after he’s back to normal,” he snorts, “hoping he goes back to normal.” he corents

Yuichi cringes, ”how is this even possible” he comments. 

“I mean, with this place,” Leo gestures around them, “anything is possible”. Yuchi hums and they lapse into silence again.  

 “The others are gonna have a field day with this”

 Leon snorts, that they can agree on. 

“He feels cold” Yuichi furrows his brows.

Leon looks on, and then a smug mischievous grin spreads across his face. “Ohh i have something he can wear”. Yuichi has a look of concern on his face and brings the turtle closer to his chest, angling his body away from Leon.

“Don't be mean” 

Scoffing Leon places a blooded hand on his plastron, “Moi?”

I don’t know if this was a request or not but I’m taking this time to give you my regressor Donnie headcanons bc he’s ABSOLUTELY my favourite turtle and I need to talk abt him or I’ll explode (I have brought my ‘87 Donnie figure with me to Holland, he’s my emotional support turtle)

Regressor!Donatello Headcanons!!

👾I think Donnie would either slip for one of two reasons, Stress- from working so hard on all his inventions and tech or two Leo was bored and needed a playmate

👾In my head Donnie’s regression range is on the older end of the spectrum but if something goes particularly bad in an experiment or an invention he goes deep into regression

👾His usual regression range I’d say is maybe 6-8 making him more of a kid regressor but if something goes wrong and he’s deep into it I’d say 0-3.

👾Donnie doesn’t take very good care of himself while he’s big so he is absolutely not allowed to be left unattended while small, even if he’s at his oldest age

👾This frustrates the little tot. A lot.

👾But he’s easy to calm down, put him in front of the projector and stick Little Einsteins or Sid the Science Kid on and he’ll stop his whining

👾And I mean stop, that boy shuts up immediately. He could be in the middle of talking and if you turn those on he just stops and stares

👾On this topic science museums. (I could do a whole set of hc’s based off this) he loves them

👾He’s not allowed in his lab when regressed, that was a rule set by big Donnie out of pure fear that he’s gonna break something he worked very hard on

👾When Donnie first regressed he was scared. He got so scared, that he slipped further into his regression going from a solid 6-4 within seconds

👾He cried, then toddled into Leo’s room and cried more because he trusted his twin more than anyone else with this new strange feeling

👾After Donnie fully grasps what is going on he tells Raph and Mikey, Leo becomes his primary cg because he was the first to know and Leo is his twin, so if Donnie goes non verbal they can use their “twin telepathy”

👾Donnie swears the twin telepathy thing is fake but somehow Leo always knows what little Donnie needs

👾Donnie doesn’t bite very often (Little fun fact here, softhells are very possessive of their things and very often bite and don’t let go for awhile) but when he’s little, those chompers get put to use

👾Leo once took a crayon off Donnie once so he could colour in with his Hermano pequeño. Donnie bit. And Donnie bit hard

👾Leo didn’t bleed but he screamed, Raph came over and had to physically pry Donatello off his brother who was inspecting his new bite wound. It scarred over

👾After that they bought Donnie a paci- for Leo’s safety. It’s purple (obvie) but that’s it’s only distinguishing feature. Donnie doesn’t like the ones that are covered in gems and beads, they distract him too much

👾If both of that disaster twins have slipped it results in both Raph and Mikey taking care of them because, while Leo is a handful by himself and Donnie is relatively easy putting them together causes chaos

👾Donnie typically regresses to be the older twin in this situation so he’s easier to calm down and stop him being a little shit, then once he’s been told he’ll immediately tell Leo to stop

👾Don would be such a little cutie to take care of, an absolute angel for you as he politely awaits his praise and for you to tell him how good he’s behaving

RISIGN SIGNS part 1 (REVIEW FROM E. CARUTTI)

HI everybody!!!! HERE, a little review about risign signs by the book “ASCENDENTES EN ASTROLOGÍA” by the great astrologer Eugenio Carutti (ARGENTINA):

1. ARIES RISIGN: In general, the Ascendants in Aries, Leo and Capricorn have destiny with the father and authority, although in different ways. Einstein used to say insanity was “doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”. But Rodrigo never heard about it in his life. Or, at least, he didn't believe it.

A few years ago, he was sitting around waiting for someone. Leandro was at his side, not so restless, and obviously not breathing as fast as he was. When Rodrigo sighed heavily, he immediately saw Leandro watching him out of the corner of his eye. Lea could certainly see, between the lines of that gesture, how nervous his friend was.

“Hermano?” There was no response, Rodrigo kept looking at Lionel Messi, who walked towards them slowly. “So, you never saw him really?”

"I've seen him... I've played against him, I just... it's different now." Well, they never played in the same team. He never before got to see how Lionel Messi used to behave or act towards his teammates, how his brain used to work, how he used to do things. There were so many possibilities that his head was about to explode.

“He may seem intimidating at first, but there's no need to be afraid of him. I guarantee!"

"It's not fear, chabón."

"So what is it?"

Rodrigo couldn't explain. Lionel Messi existing in the same world as him, at the same time as he, was already something to make him thoughtful. Not everyone had that luck. Many people died before Lionel was born, others would be born when he was no longer there. Rodrigo could only feel sorry for certain individuals. 

Existing while Lionel Messi existed was nothing but a gift.

He was still so far away. The haircut was new, with the sides of the head shaved and a high forelock. Hair was so shiny that Rodrigo would have bet he had applied hair gel. Also the tip of his nose was red, which gave him the idea Lionel was one of those to bath in the early morning. 

“Hola, Leo!” Leandro said excitedly and Rodrigo watched them embrace briefly. He felt more and more isolated, but he couldn't help it. Lionel Messi was there. He might have been the smallest of the three, but he looked so big and majestic. His imposing figure and lifted chin revealed certain cockiness, nothing Rodrigo didn’t hear about before. “Bueno, this is Rodrigo.”

"Hola!" Lionel said, without much emotion. The animosity was not exactly new, but Rodrigo felt more at ease somehow. “I think I already know you.”

“Of course you do, you just never spoke to me. Dale! How can I call you? Lionel… Messi?”

"That's literally my name so it should do." He said, with a wry smile. Debauchery was common, as well as the indifference. It was to be expected considering how many disappointments he was having with the national team. “Buena suerte!” Lionel said, certainly referring to Rodrigo's debut, but his low and quiet voice made the younger man shudder. It was as if it existed in a very particular dimension, which Rodrigo didn't even think he deserved to be in.

Rodrigo could be fearless and courageous, he was also very confident. However, the only thing he could think about was the fear he was feeling. So this was how he was supposed to feel?

But as soon as he saw Lionel leaving he knew that if needed, Rodrigo would be waiting for him again.

Time passed, and reality was different. They were world champions and now Rodrigo was waiting with a smile. Nervousness gave way to expectation, but his heart was racing as if it was the first time. Lionel was now Leo enano. No only his teammate, but his friend… his capitán.

It has been long months without seeing him, without  feeling him. That little man owned him so much that everything around him became insignificant.

Rodrigo missed him as well as every moment they shared. However, each memory was still alive, pulsing and flooding Rodrigo's mind. He remembered every touch they'd exchanged, every desperate hug or kiss after each of those victories. It was the time when Rodrigo was no longer chasing him, but at his side.

Sometimes what he felt for that man was so immense that maybe he couldn't bear it for long. But when Leo walked through that door, dressed in a beautiful smile and simple clothes, possessing the casualness of an ordinary person, Rodrigo sighed. He had held his breath too long and was perhaps on the verge of tears.

Leo was finally there. The wait was worth every second when seeing him so close, as perfect as the last time Rodrigo had seen him.

“Te extrañé, mi capitán!” He said, in a whisper to avoid crying.

Leo didn't say anything, his smile said enough. Rodrigo was sure he had missed him as he brought the back of his hand to his chin making him shiver with the slightest touch. Noticing the anxiousness from the younger man, Leo decided to get more closer, taking his face to almost touching the skin of Rodrigo’s neck.

“You smell good.” He said, sniffing.

Rodrigo tried not to think about how threatening that sounded, or at least, about how insane was the fact he liked Leo’s approach. 

As long as he existed, the insanity would persist. For Leo, Rodrigo would be always waiting and, somehow, someday, Leo would be there.

In Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, the decision of Cillian Murphy's J. Robert Oppenheimer to make the leap from theoretical physics to practical applications is a personal one. "It's not your people they're herding into camps," he says to Josh Hartnett's Ernest Lawrence. "It's mine."

Oppenheimer's Jewish background (and that of many of the brilliant people portrayed in the film, like Albert Einstein, Edward Teller, Isidor Isaac Rabi, Richard Feynman, Leo Szilard and others) is a key component in their determination to prevent the Nazis from being first to create an atomic bomb. You would not know this, however, if you saw the movie in Arabic. 

As reported in The National, an English-language news outlet based in the United Arab Emirates, the Lebanon-based company that translated the film for the region has dodged the specific word for Jews and, instead, has opted to use word ghurabaa that translates as stranger or foreigner.

Egyptian film director Yousry Nasrallah criticized the decision, saying "The Arabic translation of the dialogue was strikingly poor. There is nothing to justify or explain the translation of Jew to ghareeb or ghurabaa. It is a shame."

An unnamed representative for the film told The National that this is not atypical for Middle Eastern censor boards. "There are topics we usually don't tackle, and that is one of them. We cannot use the word 'Jew', the direct translation in Arabic, otherwise it may be edited, or they ask us to remove it."

They continued, "In order to avoid that, so people can enjoy the movie without having so many cuts, we would just change the translation a little bit. This has been an ongoing workflow for the past 15 or 20 years." (In 2013, though a large section of the Brad Pitt action film World War Z was set in Israel, Turkish translations changed all references to simply "The Middle East.")

There are several moments in the film in which the impact is blunted by this censorship. Oppenheimer's foe, Lewis Strauss (played by Robert Downey Jr.), is also Jewish, and mentions it in the film — but then is particular about the Americanized way his name ought to be pronounced. When Oppenheimer meets Rabi, who is first to voice ethical concerns about the creation of the bomb, he refers to himself and Oppenheimer as "a couple of New York Jews," marking themselves as distinct from mainstream American culture. The National reports that the translation reads as "inhabitants of New York."

Oppenheimer has seen tremendous box office success both domestically and internationally, with a cumulative gross of $650 million — a remarkable achievement for a historical drama. Last week it became the highest-grossing World War II film of all time, has extended its 70mm IMAX run in several markets, and even surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the biggest earner at Hollywood's Chinese Theatre.
