Daun-daun kentang kami mulai bermunculan. Jenis kentangnya kentang mini, yang umbinya dibeli di pasar. Didiamkan di dalam kulkas dalam wadah tertutup dan bagian dalamnya dilapisi kain--untuk menjaga kelembaban--sampai bertunas dan siap tanam.

Ingat kentang, ingat film esai personal-nya Agnes Varda : Les glaneurs et la glaneuse (2000). Perkebunan besar punya standar produk; kentang yang terlalu besar atau terlalu kecil biasanya akan dibuang. Di mataku 'sampah' itu bisa berharga. Bisa dikonsumsi, bisa disharing ke banyak orang yang lebih butuh. Mendudukan diri di posisi pemulung seperti ini berhasil. Jadi mengerti, apa yang dianggap punya nilai komersial zero, ternyata bisa jadi harta karun bagi segelintir orang--the gleaners--yang prakteknya telah dilakukan sejak beratus tahun lalu. Sementara kita di zaman sekarang, duh, bahkan malu menandaskan makanan di piring karena takut dianggap rakus.

Semoga tahan sampai panen. Besar atau kecil hasil umbinya nanti, rezeki dari Tuhan.
