*leans into the mic* women with penises. men with vaginas who need cervical healthcare. people with vaginas who aren't women. people who believe gender/sex essentialism is a tool of colonialism. anti sex exclusionary sexuality.

i wonder if the nihilism surrounding female separatism or just women's liberation in general from western feminists is because of poor community structures (most of those countries are highly individualistic) or just not having much practice with resistance and revolution like women in the global south are. because for a class of women who are the wealthiest and most liberated and educated globally, they are very weak-willed.
im not even trying to be mean or provocative. i think there's definitely some cultural and historical reasons for it.

the first lesbian i ever knew irl when i was younger was my moms friend who was an ftm lesbian, who did not identify as a woman in any way but fully identified as a lesbian, and was in a triad with two women who fully accepted him for who he was.
we have been around for a long time, and will continue to be here long after you immature box obsessed baby queers have burned out. being a lesbian is about loving women and being queer, if you can't understand that congratulations on drinking the terf juice.
also its okay to be wrong as long as you don't fucking double down when confronted with the facts like. if you see this post and want to actually interact in good faith with bi or mspec lesbians and lesbians who dont identify as women or "woman-lite", then please do! that's the mature response!
i just want yall to look inside yourselves and really try to figure out why you feel like you should have control over how other people identify. thats the opposite of what being queer means, and i'm not even angry at people who think this way it legitimately just makes me sad?

hey not to be that guy but with dykes & lesbians like kristen stewart who wanna be masculine as a woman It kinda hurts to see ppl be like "omg just be transgender already" as if butch/masc/gnc cis lesbians dont exist to them. Yeah sure transmasc/trans men lesbians/dykes are awesome and shit I am one myself but a cis woman can be as gnc/masc/butch as well. She could go on hormones and get top surgery and still be considered cis if she wants to. I havent read the article i dont rlly care for celebrities but yall. why are you trying to erase butch/masc cis lesbians. why are you trying to erase the gnc cis lesbians apart of our community. I would love for some huge celebrity to come out as a male dyke myself but you also gotta learn to appreciate the cis gnc dykes too :/ also like. yes there are def cis lesbians who are shitty and scummy and exclude us who are gnc/masc/butches/etc and especially there sre those that exclude us who are transmasculine/trans men/multigender and consider ourselves as men. This is not the point tho. Lesbians either cis or trans can be gnc/butch all they want. you can uplift the gnc cis dykes as much as you uplift the gnc trans dykes! being cis isnt a morally bad thing ok?
I AM A RADINCLUS (NOT RADQUEER!!) SO EXCLUSIONISTS + LESBIAN SEPARATISTS DNI

Someone left a hate comment on one of my posts, so ya know what that means: another positivity post!
m-spec lesbians/gays, lesboys, turigirls, and anyone else that is 'the reason the LGBTQ community gets mocked' are cool ASF and are an important part of the community. Fuck 'being valid' as a queer person; we're all invalid to bigots, and that doesn't mean shit. We're going to be here, we have always been here, and we're not going anywhere.
Nothing a blank 'hater' account says will change that, either.

we need to bully white people more because what the actual fuck is this load of horseshit
[Photo Description: Four screenshots with a water filter over them. The screenshots are of a Tumblr post that reads as follows:
Okay so I came up with a way to explain how harmful misusing the world lesbian is. I will be mentioning racial issues. As I’ve not experienced this I of course cannot know how accurate this is to compare, but I thought I’d try to share and see what you all think of my attempt at an analogy.
Imagine you’re a white person and you feel like a masculine-connected woman. But you don’t like the words butch or dyke. That’s perfectly valid. But you connect with the word stud. Stud, if you do not know dear reader, is a term for black women only. Now you, a white person, can prefer one term over the other, but you are not a stud as you are not black. People will call you out on “being a stud” while being white because labeling yourself a stud is taking away from all the struggles a community has faced. That is inherently racist even if you aren’t intending to be and are doing it with good intentions.
It’s the same if you’re NW or are attracted to NW and call yourself lesbian. You’re erasing our history and experiences as lesbians. It’s inherently both biphobic and homophobic (and can even be transphobic depending on who you are attracted to) to call yourself a lesbian when you aren’t. It’s okay to not like terms like trixic, uranic, gyn, bi, etc. (it’s also important to delve into WHY you don’t like those terms, like do you have an unhealthy adoration of lesbians or have internalized biphobia/transphobia?) but it is never okay to appropriate just because it makes you feel comfortable. There are ways to feel comfortable that aren’t harmful to those in your circle.
Y’all don’t have to agree with me but I’m only taking criticism from studs into account regarding this post. Responses from people who are not studs will not be considered. Again, I am a white girl, so I’m looking for criticism from black girls. If I wanted criticism from white people I’d talk to my bosses.
End ID.]

have such an issue where bi lesbian identity discourse always makes me really apprehensive and I don't know if that's a personality flaw on my part because like at the end of the day I do not and will never have control over how individuals identify or apply labels to themselves nor is it something I want to have bother me but I also get nervous because it's the kind of thing that's usually grouped with like, extending the discussion to say that lesbianism as an identity that excludes attraction to men is unnecessary which deeply bothers me. I've said this before but most of the aggression I've faced both directly and indirectly for my sexuality has been not because I love women but because I don't love men and I get really uncomfortable when people diminish the impact that lack of attraction has on oppression. it feels like the discussion always starts leading away not from how individual people identify but to how lesbianism as an identity that excludes men in itself is unnecessary and it always feels really violating to me and makes me remember men who spoke explicitly to me and threatened to turn me bisexual. I dunno shit is weird man, it's hard to tell if I'm right or wrong most of the time but its something that always starts getting me stressed

Can I ask when the last time “dick worshipper”, etc. has actually been used by a radblr woman? Not a black-pill orbiter; they’re awful to everyone and don’t tend to last long here. I mean from someone in radblr, claiming to be a radical feminist or supporting radical feminism. I know it used to be fairly common years ago. So did political lesbianism, which pissed everyone off for different reasons. Most of those people either left or just don’t show up in my circles anymore, and those that do again don’t last long. So where is this coming from? I see it referenced but no recent examples. I am seeing a hell of a lot of recent homophobia from women in radblr though. Every woman I’ve seen addressing the homophobia has stated the misogynistic terms aren’t okay, again, even though from what I’ve seen it hasn’t happened for a long time. Whereas I’m seeing a ton of defensiveness and doubling down in regards to the homophobia. And there seems to be this demand of all lesbians and non-lesbian pro-separatist women to denounce the “dick worshipper” type comments, and it’s like, A) they already have and B) if they’re not the ones who said it can you stop conflating pro-separatist arguments with that shit? Again, this is just what I’ve seen. Maybe the “dick-worshipper” comments are all over some areas of radblr, but they’re not from anyone I follow or have seen on my dash for years. I’d say for the last four or five years the only time I’ve seen it is from women asking not to be called that--which, I agree, I don’t want to be called that and I don’t want to see other women called that. It’s just, I haven’t been called it or seen it for a long time, so something’s not adding up.
#I've seen pile-ons and singling out which I thought were ill-timed or unhelpful#which I've addressed in another post#I think if a woman isn't directly harming a woman you'll do more to bring her to radical feminism by making general posts#rather than singling her out and calling her a bad feminist#but that's quite a bit different from dick worshipper etc.#like there was a lot I didn't like from radblr way back when#there were so many political lesbians that you couldn't tell when a thoughtful pro-separatist argument was going to slide into that#you couldn't tell when a heterosexual voluntary celibate post was going to then argue that heterosexuality was socialized#today's radblr that I can see is just not that#but thoughtful arguments are being treated as if they were#people being accused of shit they did not say#all the comparisons to lesbians with incels or men in general like what the fuck#YOU are the ones making things unpleasant here now#not the lesbians#not the pro-separatists#can we address one another's arguments in their own words and not by what you think they mean based on what someone else said please?#you can in fact respectfully disagree on certain points#we can in fact reclaim feminism and let radical feminism stay radical#it's okay#once upon a time I remember a Take Back The Night rally where the radical feminists were identified and welcomed with open arms#and the thing was most of the women there were not radical feminists#and that was completely okay and acknowledged#and we could still all unite for the common cause of women being safe at night#I remember in my early liberal feminist days--and I do mean liberal feminist not the faux-feminists that *libfem* tends to refer to now--#I would occasionally visit Twisty Faster's blog and I thought it was extreme but intriguing and refreshing#something that maybe wasn't for me but that I recognized as an important viewpoint nonetheless#and I was definitely not the only liberal feminist who felt that way#radical and liberal and other feminists often united against MRAs#god I wish we could go back to that.

watching barbie with my friends made me realize i take feminism way more seriously than them because i know barbie's approach to feminism is pretty basic (even though needed) but while i thought it gave too much credit and softened the blow to men they couldn't stop talking about allan or ken's redemption arc or whatever and it feels hopeless because i know even though they don't say it that when i talk about not caring not believing not trusting any man ever they think it's a joke or a performance or a childish belief i have because i am a lesbian that i will eventually grow out of i am but a girl's girl stuck in a men-centering friend group

funny how you suddenly care about men harassing lesbians when you're the lesbian being harassed by men. but when other lesbians speak out against mspec "lesbians", you're suddenly jumping to defend them :)
Yes because I actually think we should blame the men harassing us instead of targeting and harassing innocent lesbians who did nothing but use a multifaceted label in a different way from you. Hope this helps! :)

het women are within their right to speak against and oppose separatism but to compare that to lesbophobia, a form of systematic oppression on the basis of sexual orientation, and to act like separatism is anywhere near as pervasive, damaging, or is in any other way comparable only reinforces why lesbians struggle to find solidarity with het women.
