Catching up on Oscar movies the week before has saved me from so much discourse, I can’t even describe.

#lest we forget that Oscar discourse is close to the worst there is #remember when it was Moonlight vs La La Land but the actual villain was staring us in the face the whole time #(spoiler alert: it was Mel Gibson being nominated for making a war movie and winning) #I just saw Nomadland discourse and I ran straight in the other direction #I don't even have a strong opinion on any of the movies this year because I missed them all #and didn't get to see them in theaters and so form emotional attachments to them
