@artisticallyill you asked about the Battle Cody & Obi so here it is

This one is definitely a bad name. While technically accurate, it's not the defining thing about this. Battle Cody & Obi is the name of my drawing that is my Codywan FMAB AU. Truly the title says nothing, and idk what i was thinking when i named the drawing but it's my fmab au

Here's it is so far:

In this au, the jedi are the state alchemists, Obi-Wan is a general and a state alchemist and a highly revered one but I don't know what his alchemy specialization is yet. Cody is his right hand who watches his back and has several big guns and people are scared of him.

I imagine this drawing to be them fighting Maul, who would absolutely just set a bunch of things on fire, not even with alchemy but with straight up matches cuz he's petty like that and Cody and Obi-Wan are trapped by the fire and waiting to see where he strikes next.

When I was ideating this, I realized that their dynamic is already pretty similar to Mustang and Hawkeye, especially with the "we can't date cuz you're my superior officer/subordinate" and the "i will flirt with others as a tactical move but it's fake and the real adoration only comes out with you"

Training Day with Kix

Kix dreaded this day. He knew it was coming and he dreaded it. It was CPR and field medicine training day with Torrent Squad and he had to somehow get them to settle down for a several hour long class. He already had a headache and it hadn’t even begun.

It went exactly as he thought it might.

He brought out the training dummies and immediately saw a Look pass between Hardcase and Fives.

some highlights of the day:

- Echo trying to hard to listen and take notes, but with Hardcase dancing with the manikin in the background is making it very difficult. Kix's headache grows even stronger. But he's glad at least a few of the boys are trying.

- Jesse is giving Fives feedback on his mouth to mouth technique and it turns into them showing off their kissing skills and trading techniques. Kix makes a note to make *them* disinfect the manakins after.

- when he begins showing them how to use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Fives puts the pads on his own body and presses the button, fortunately the voltage is turned all the way down (as it should be) and he only recieves a mild shock. Kix has to pause the lesson so that he can treat Fives.

- Lessons on how to hold and gently let down a fainting person turn into trust falls. Tup is really great at catching people, Hardcase gets distracted far too easily and misses Jesse, who tumbles to the floor. Kix uses this as an intro to how to deal with a concussion.

- He shows them how to use a tourniquet and field dressings and Echo ends up tied to his chair. No one knows who did it. He is, however, tied really tightly and really well, with proper wound pressure. Kix hates that he's impressed.

- Dogma and Tup are active listeners and are the first to volunteer when live subjects are needed for carrying drills. Both them and Kix regret this immediately when Hardcase picks them up and runs out the door.

- When explaining the proper way to give injections, Hardcase and Fives are just a *little* too excited about it, so Echo (who has the steadiest hands) does the demonstration on Dogma. Kix makes an executive decision. Dogma is very relieved.

-Rex sits in the background with popcorn. Rex is very happy that the children are not currently his problem. Kix needs a fucking nap.

pre-publishing notes for extras part one (coming tomorrow i pray 🙏🏽 if not tmr than next saturday 🥺) for those interested

i am incredibly busy this wk so the final final edit of my fics isn’t gonna come till later, like next Wednesday or the weds after that or something.

but do not worry i am not changing anything major, unlike in previous edits. It’s just fixing little stuff (hyphenation, some grammar, places where AO3 fucked my italics, changing “chief naval officer” to chief of naval operations [i literally have no clue how that error happened as i got it right in some places and wrong in a bunch of other places like wtaf], removing brand names that show idk what the fuck im talking about, etc.). The most substantial edit is I’m adding one sentence to the slider one-shot where ice tries to convince slider that he and maverick are only tying the knot for financial purposes, and “so the govt doesn’t fuck one of us when the other dies for real.” that sentence was in my original draft and idk why it got removed.

i will not be editing the hangman one shot (besides fixing the proposal date), the airplane one shot, or the wingmen one shot because i do not really care for them and they have been overwritten by other sections of my fics. the bradley one shot is also pretty much going untouched

ONTO THE EXTRAS. Unlike some of my other fics which are M-rated & therefore kind of implicit, these extras are a littol bit edgy & explicit. Not beating around the bush anymore. I am warning for possible triggers, mostly related to disordered eating and, like, a BUNCH of casual suicidal ideation/discussion of suicide. Also it’s E-rated.

however that isn’t to say it’s not mostly fluff lol. there’s SOME sex but u know me.. it is sex as symbol not sex as sex... (You know what they say, $20 is $20 and writing practice is writing practice) I wanted to expand the scope of my original fics—more politics, more complications, more backstory, so that’s mostly what it is. Not everything revolves around goose anymore. It’s also about the rest of the world

parts of it will also obviously just be me dicking around, a disclaimer

not every scene that I’ve posted in a wip wednesday made the cut. I got rid of a bunch of them that were boring/repetitive. (so, my apologies to the anon who told me they liked the sickfic excerpt, for instance—the one where mav sprains his wrist is basically the same thing, we don’t really need to rehash the “taking care of each other” motif twice)

Long post ahead

First thing first... I love this starting pallet (i'm definitely overthinking)

Not complete white not complete black with prominent shadows, because every major character in the show is grey and one half of each partnership likes to lurk in shadows...This just highlights that things won't always be merry and colourful, but they won't completely be helpless...

Now to the episode itself...

We knew Aya was going to jump... Glad she was oh so delicately caught by Aku... I didn't think it was possible to clear everything in one episode, but expect the unexpected i guess...

And the main part of Dazai being alive and kicking...No but really, this is such a relief...

I kinda had the whole thing in the back of my mind that they can't kill Dazai, he is necessary for the plot armour to plot armour and all that shit...

But there was equal chances of Asagiri taking notes from Isayama or Gege and just decide, fuck it... let's keep him dead....If not the confirmed dead thing, then the dead till stated otherwise route that Hori took.

But i'm soooo glad Asagiri didn't do that!!!

Also, glad to know he is still as cocky as ever

AND AND AND

I screamed!!!! My fam started looking at me for two whole minutes like i've just gone crazy!!!

Because we got the prettiest boy speaking!!!

The look on Fyodor's face when he realised he was played by the one he had completely under his control (or he thought he had)... I think he realised the 'shallow bond' comment haunted him in this moment

I will deep dive into what exactly happened in those seconds in a later post, but i just wanna say

This is soooo damn funny!!!! Like you have this big bad mafia boss who has been MIA for the whole part of world destruction and his precious city being in the centre of it all (lets face it mori loves Yokohama more than he loves the whole world, he would gladly let the world burn if it means keeping that damn trouble-magnet city safe!) - BUT BUT BUT, then when things start to look up you only get a mention of the said boss and that too with a goofy fact such as he glued in vampire fangs to one of his executives! Don't tell me it's not an embarrassing dad thing to do, because it is!!!

I just know he, Hirotsu and Koyo has a hell of a time getting teenage soukoku to adulthood alive!!!

I mean -

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SIR YOU USED TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME???

No one's doing it like them!!!

Plus i just know Manga coming out is going to be even more gay than the anime, there will be more explanations and more fruity moments!!!

On a sad note...

Fyodor actually seems to be dead ( even if i don't believe it)

It hurt so bad to see Gogol man going - i wanted him dead, no i didnt, but maybe i did. His voice alone mad me sad...

But you know what i'm not sad about???

Getting rid of Fukuchi!!!

I'm not going to pretend that i felt even an ounce of sympathy for him, his whole 'i did this so you can bring peace' or 'some sacrifices are necessary for greater good' thing seemed forced to me. Like a desperate attempt at ending his character arc on a forgiving note, positive note...

But like i said, most characters in this show are grey... But there was none of Fukuchi's shade, and i didn't like it, even if in the end he wanted peace.

i do feel sad for Fukuzawa though,

He will have to live with that curse...

Plus i don't think Fukuchi is completely gone...

Decay of angel's may be over, but the mess they have left behind is not, there is still the other side of the page and whatever the fuck went down in those two hours...

But i'm glad that atleast Aku and Atsushi are on same side this time...

There is something so deeply tender about Zoro picking up Usopp's boots in Skypiea. Tender in a "I'll take care of you as much as I can, even if you don't notice it" way. Tender in a "You wouldn't think I notice these little things, but I do" way. Tender in a "Good grief, you're helpless sometimes, and I'll pretend to be annoyed by it, but that's just the way you are and that's fine by me" way.

There's something given about it, too. Like, of course he picks up Usopp's boots and carries them to the camp for him. Why wouldn't he? He notices, and he can take care of Usopp in this small way, so he does. Of course he does.

For such a rough, sometimes seemingly cold guy (even though we all know he's far from cold), Zoro has such a tenderness to him when it comes to Usopp.

Does Usopp know? Does Usopp know how much Zoro notices, and cares, and does every little and big thing he can for him? When Zoro drops off his boots at the camp, does Usopp notice? Does he see, does he feel the love in such a simple, yet meaningful act?

I hope he does.
