One of my favorite things about Lockwood & Co. is that they don’t shy away (in the books or series) from the fact Lockwood constantly has reckless suicidal plans.  Or the scene in Screaming Staircase (Episode 3: Doubt Thou The Stars) when Lucy attempts to jump in the well.  Or when Lucy mentions in Episode 2: Let Go Of Me that she feels she’d be better off dead.  It was very validating to me as a depressed teenager, and honestly gave me hope because if these characters that I loved could fight off ghosts and survive suicidal ideation and still live this wonderful life in Portland Row with friends, then so could I.

Thinking of when Lucy leaves the hospital in episode 2 and my American is showing because I've been wondering since the show came out how she got away with leaving without paying and.... I just realized it's because y'all have NHS over there. She doesn't have to pay for hospital because hospital is free in the UK.
