Okay okay, s/o with sleep issues + Childe who sings them to sleep

Like, I'd imagine his mother to be such a sweetheart, singing to him Szheznayan lullabies when he was unable to sleep as a little kid.

He vaguely remembers the songs, but homesickness + affection sometimes pulls the melodies from his lips when you cuddle in the dark. And it's such a good call because it's the most calming thing ever and it's one of the few things that get you to relax enough to fall asleep in particularly restless nights.

!!! Bonus point for Childe having nasty nightmares disrupting his sleep. Clinging to his s/o the first time they comfort him through one by softly humming as they stroke his hair. Ugh <3

Childe's a pretty light sleeper- he's always on alert in case of sudden attacks, which were very common during his time in the Abyss- so he's awake the moment you try to slip out of bed, his arms reaching out and wrapping around your waist to pull you back against his chest. for a few minutes you can only hear you and him breathing softly, Childe's fingers tracing circles and shapes on your stomach before he inhales and begins to quietly hum. his voice is soothing and melodious, slowly transitioning from hums to words in the Snezhnayan language, his native tongue. the lullaby makes your muscles untense, the arms around you shifting into claws and squeezing you gently as a certain Abyss monster purrs in your ears, your eyes fluttering shut as sleep finally catches up to you at long last

then there are the nights where the roles are reversed, when Childe jolts awake with his mind crawling, eyes wide and dry heaving. the movement wakes you up too, groaning and blinking tiredly with a small mumble of "Ajax...?", and suddenly there's a body clinging to you, Childe's fingers gripping your shirt as he shakes. you're quick to hug him back, his face burying into your shoulder with quiet sobs- his left hand is covered with night-colored armor, claws instead of fingers as Legacy makes his presence known, too. so you gently sing to them, doing your best to remember the words Childe taught you, and slowly, slowly, Legacy and Childe slump against you, cries softening to quiet breaths as they relax

eventually you feel a kiss on your forehead and hear a soft "Thank you", the words laced with a calm, sweet purr

hi hi okay imagine. stede wants to brush out ed's hair the way izzy always does. maybe izzy is busy on deck taking note of damages after a raid. maybe they had an infestation and he's going over ration spoilage and inventory with roach. ed is tired and cranky and absentmindedly separating sections of curls and tugging them apart at the bottom where they get stuck together in knots. stede offers to help with the tangles, says he would love to give it a go and help ed relax

izzy walks in a few minutes later and immediately comes up and tells stede he's doing it all wrong but also gently takes the brush from him and shows him the right way - where to hold the hair, how to start at the bottom with little sections and work his way up, when to start with his fingers instead of the brush. neither of them can see it but ed is smiling so much his face might actually burst
