I asked my dad if it was okay to go out of the house with my fox tail on... (This is a real fur fox tail that I purchased for 35 bucks at a Ren Faire, mind you)
Dad: "Do you understand what that is?"
Me: "It's a fashion accessory..."
Dad: "No, it's not a fashion statement. It means you're a FURRY! Those are usually attached to a BUTT PLUG! Don't wear those again!"
So pissed, my mom has been getting on my nerves all day for no reason and now she's saying I can't wear a belt bc stomach rolls. I literally do not give a single fuck, i love the way the belt looks with this dress and I feel so fucking pretty but book if I don't fjt what she wants im hideous and fat apparently. I'm gonna start starving myself again because I'm literally so done, and I PROMISE you shes gonna complain about that too. If i eat its bad. If I don't eat its bad. If I wear stuff that makes me happy it's bad. Literally i can't do jackshit im so done with her. She's literally fat herself, she has to weight at least 300 pounds but she's allowed to call herself beautiful??? Like im not saying she isnt bc id be lying, but not letting your daughter wear a fucking belt because of stomach rolls while you're literally obese is just hypocritical and so fucking telling. Like stop pushing your internalized fatphobia onto me, I promise you if I try to lose weight again she's gonna be all over my ass though. I literally can't do shit.
i don’t think the big three kids are actually banned from teaming up during capture the flag. i think the stipulation is that they have to take the kids. so it’s like all the brightest and best fighters and most skilled members of camp, including those who have like. made even one plan in their lives, vs. ninety newly armed children who have been fed a breakfast of gushers in orange soda corralled by the most powerful and most impulsive demigods to ever live
I've been thinking about modesty from a specifically trans lense lately. I was taught that modesty indicates shame, that modesty means you're simultaneously ashamed of being human and having a human body, but also that you are "purer" because you adhere to a hegemonic idea of modesty. Frankly, I just don't agree with this, and it was very much steeped in the idea of specifically christian ideas of modesty.
Before I transitioned, I felt very unprotective of my body because it never felt like mine to begin with. I didn't really care what happened to it, and while I was modest by other people's standards, I certainly didn't feel it. Once I actually started transitioning (and especially on testosterone), I've found that I'm so much more "modest" because I've become protective of my body. There's this stereotype that trans people start "showing themselves off" after transitioning, but I honestly feel the opposite. I'm possessive over my body and exactly how it acts and appears because I actually like my body, and it finally feels like mine. I'm honestly kind of selfish about it, and I think I've earned the right to be.
I made this post because I think this is an interesting topic, and I think it's interesting the ways in which we internalize the influences that be. It's also a reminder that no matter how you feel about things like modesty, you should adhere to what makes the most sense to you and what you are most comfortable with. There are pressures to be modest in this way or that way, but what truly matters is what you decide with your body and yourself.
kind of don’t want to put this in the tag but also. kind of wanna say acespec folks can kiss! and even experience attraction! and still be on the ace spectrum ✌🏻
What gets me about GW defenders saying that "Claude siding with Edelgard shows how far he's willing to go to get what he wants, he'll use anyone to further his goals" is that, even if that were accurate to his character... that's not what he does in GW. At all.
Which one of Claude's goals are ever progressed once he sides with Edelgard? And how does siding with Edelgard, specifically, accomplish said goal?
Maybe... killing Rhea? But all of the reasons he says he wants her gone in this game are either completely unproven or blatantly incorrect - there's no proof of the Church forcing arranged marriages, Crests do not force obligations onto those that have them (which Claude himself literally proves), and the Church is helping Dimitri restore Duscur - a foreign nation - meaning they are actively willing to help fulfill Claude's main goal that he came to the officer's academy to achieve.
And... that's it! That is the only possible thing that even POTENTIALLY helps Claude's dreams, and taking a five-second look at it shows that it actually does nothing at all to help anything. But in the meantime? Claude weakens Faerghus through agitating Sreng and invading it himself, forcing Dimitri to fight a three front war; he actively helps Edelgard get herself out of a messy situation, even though not helping her and letting her die would have actually helped him and would have actually been him using her like people keep saying he's trying to do; he and Holst even admit that by the end of the war Edelgard is going to make a vassal state of Leicester after taking the lion's share of Faerghus' territory for themselves, which Leicester can't do anything about because of Adrestia's far stronger military. He is the one saying that! He is the one pointing out that that is going to happen! And yet he just keeps going anyway!
He is the one getting used. Very blatantly, and very extensively. Claude walked himself into a trap and lied to himself into thinking he's the one with the upper hand, which somehow managed to convince a large portion of the fanbase too. There's no gray morality here, there's no cunning being showcased, Claude is just an evil stupid tool
Question: do you prefer Fandom slenderman where he cares for everybody as a family or canon slenderman where he doesn't care about anyone not even the proxies? Also do you write for canon slenderman because I have a request I'll send in if you write for canon slender but I wanna see what you say for. Thank you have a good day ❤️✨️
Just and FYI to everyone in the fandom since the topic was brought up: Creepypasta doesn’t really have a solid “canon”. I see this around a lot and just wanted to mentioned that everything in the Creep fandom is just ideas welded together with the foundation of not very well written scary stories. Some of people people can like, or not like, and decide to implement what and change other things. I’ve seen some debate about what’s true canon. (Mostly with Ben being a child, Jeff always wearing a white hoodie, or even Slender eating children vs consuming souls.) But the reality is (coming from someone who’s been in the creep fandom since 2013), there is no true canon. Go crazy. Make Jeff trans, make EJ a cat-boy, give Offender a better name since his brothers deserve a fourth, make Zalgo a big softie instead of the usual hardass!
(Also, my dear anon, this isn’t directed toward you. The word canon reminded me of this topic, and I’ve been wanting to mention it to my blog. Although I usually see it on tiktok, I sometimes come across it on Tumblr as well.)
howEevveeerrr, back to responding to the ask, I do love writing for characters what an opposing personality from their usual self! :] I had an idea a while ago about what if Slender was pushed too hard and turned cruel and strict in order to keep everyone alive.
But yes I would definitely write for Slender who was cruel and didn’t care about anyone but himself. The proxies may attempt a bit of mutiny.
People on Instagram complaining about Dave (and Martin too) wearing makeup (especially too much mascara) is the same vibe as a toxic boyfriend criticizing you for wearing too much makeup or dressing a certain way...
Hey do you think Jamil has trouble seeing people his age as peers?
Like, growing up having to be a caretaker to a guy literally a few months older than him, always expected to act like the adult in the situation, expected to work with adults and adopt their perspectives and pick up their slack. Do you think he just, forgets sometimes?
I mean we've seen him go into caretaker mode with other sophomores, and the only people I've seen him take seriously are juniors like Vil who also act much older than they should have to (his reactions to Leona look more like a trauma response and I don't wanna get into it here). People like Malleus and Cater still somewhat get the caretaker treatment. Like I just highly doubt that he subconsciously realizes he's actually part of his age group
Aaand that inevitably brings up Azul, who also acts like he thinks he's older than he is. Whether you're looking at it from a shipping angle or not, he reacts to Azul like an actual peer. With older students, he seems more in his element but there's still a status hierarchy which he compulsively reacts to. With Azul he doesn't acknowledge any status worth respecting or see him as someone who needs to be looked after. He just bickers like an equal, in a way that implies he actually does see Azul as a real peer, like subconsciously he's categorized this guy into the same group as himself, who was previously alone on that level (he gets like this more with the twins too, over time, but it seems to start with Azul).
And my favorite part about this is, while that response stems from them both acting more like adults in general, they elicit a pettiness from each other which drags them both down to actually acting their own age, and I just love that. Their characters are perfect foils for each other and it seems to make them both less isolated in a way.
good GOD can we stop gendering everything. I swear some of y'all just took the futch scale and decided to run with it as gender roles 2.0 (yassified edition)
hcs of what i think the modern persona protags would major/work as/be at in the future
makoto yuki - he'd be a pediatrician and runs a little clinic maybe. works with kids in a way that doesn't involve interacting with them necessarily he just prescribes things. lives with aigis. reserve shadow operatives
yu narukami - honestly he gives engineer vibes. sorry. also full time shadow ops
akira kurusu - counselor / teacher. i genuinely believe he's doing whatever maruki was doing not just because he sorta looks up to the guy but because they are both foils to eachother (visually, thematically). its a job thats just casual enough to fit akira's personality and he honestly looks like he'd be really into psychology. he's also is a people person even if its not obvious and has just the right rizz to be interacting with students. ideologically just seems like something he'd do to 'make the world right' in his own way and make sure no student went through what he did, ever again.
also being a teacher is a btch of a job that involves so many things which plays into the "jack of all trades" thing akira has with all his part-time jobs + IT RARELY GETS RECOGNITION.... just like his PT work.
btw i've been pushing the makoto yuki thing whenever my friend said he doesnt get timeskip because of well. the ending but honestly she just hates the truth that makoto made it past 16 and has graduated, actually <3
