Shiro (Korean s/o):

When Shiro first meets you he thinks it’s really cool that you’re Korean (because goddamnit the asian writer wants more asian representation sue me)

Doesn’t actually know that you speak Korean until you’re together on a difficult mission

You two are being chased down the hall of a Galra occupied ship

As you start to enter the escape pod you see a sentry holding the doors open, keeping you both from escaping

With a swift kick to the sentry’s face you yell: “씨발 미친년” (translation: ‘you fucking bitch!’)

You then shut the door behind you and begin to type in the coordinates for the castle

Shiro stares at you in awe, he never thought that you could actually speak Korean

You feel embarrassed the more he tries to pry about what you just said (you eventually tell him though)

It now becomes a normal thing for you to start talking Korean in front of him, from cussing out the paladins to just normally conversing with him (even though he has no idea of what you’re saying)

When the other paladins piss you off you just mutter under your breath: “개새끼” (translation: literally, it means a dog’s offspring, but it used as ‘son of a bitch’)

He’s heard this line so many times that he remembers what it means and then he scolds you for swearing

He’s a hypocrite though

Sometimes you’ll accidentally answer him in Korean when you’re really sleepy

One time he woke you up to ask you where Keith was

You said: “나도 몰라 “ (translation: ‘I don’t know”)

He just assumed that you didn’t know so he let you sleep in peace

Will ask you to teach him a little so he can understand you

You taught him how to say “I love you”

Now he constantly use it to make you blush in front of the other paladins

Keith (Cuban s/o)

When Keith first meets you he thinks that you’re so gorgeous

It takes this awkward boy such a long time to work up the nerve to talk to you

When he learns that you’re Cuban, he thinks that it’s cool

Doesn’t make him think differently of you

Is convinced that he would love you even if you were Galra (he’s really into you)

The first time he hears you speak Spanish is when you’re talking with Lance

Keith gets a little jealous at first because you’re talking to Lance so much but then he feels a little regret of not taking Spanish when he was in school

You and Lance are probably talking about your life in Cuba before you moved to have a better life

You then get onto the subject of Keith and you just dreamily sigh while saying: “Estoy enamorada” (translation: ‘I’m in love’)

Keith then hears his name and then a gag from Lance and then gets extremely pissed

This boy pulls you away from Lance and demands to know everything you two talked about (not because he doesn’t trust you, but because he feels like Lance would try to say bad things about him)

You laugh and tell him that he has nothing to worry about and you were just telling Lance how in love you are

Keith.exe has stopped working

This boy gets so happy after that

Speaking Spanish around Keith makes it easier to confess your love for him (unless Lance is around)

Whenever he does something stupid you yell: “Hijo de puta” (translation: ‘son of a bitch!’) and then go off on a rant telling him how stupid he is in Spanish

This boy kinda just stands there with a confused look on his face for about ten minutes before apologizing

Asks you to teach him Spanish and remembers a little bit, but not much

Tell him that you love him in Spanish and he’ll start blushing madly (gets grouchy if you do it in front of the other paladins)

Lance (Thai s/o):

When he first meets you he begins to flirt with you (as if he doesn’t do this to everyone)

He calls you a god/goddess, saying that there is no way that you can be real

When you tell him that you’re Thai it takes him a little bit to figure out where Thailand is (you won’t believe how many people I talk to think that being ‘Thai’ is being from Taiwan)

Doesn’t actually know that you also speak Thai until you’re hanging out with the rest of the paladins

You guys came back from a hard day of training when Pidge came up with the great idea of having everyone play Monopoly (you guys had found it at the Earth shop in the Space Mall)

Everything was going fine until Shiro was in the lead and was making everyone pay $600+ when you landed on his properties

You happened to land on one when you mumbled: “เย็ดคุณ” (translation: ‘fuck you’)

You then handed your money to him, followed by the middle finger

Shiro loudly gasped, covering Pidge’s eyes while everyone else laughed

After the game had ended Lance asked you what you said in Thai

You blushed a bit, and then told him

Makes him love you a bit more

He absolutely loves it if you talk in Thai when you’re around him

It makes him feel happy when you’re comfortable enough to talk in your own language

Begs you to teach him how to speak Thai

Is actually a good learner, he’ll get it all down and then soon enough you’ll be having conversations in Thai (mostly about Keith’s god awful mullet)

Pidge (Samoan s/o):

When they first meet you, they think it’s cool that you’re Samoan

They’re just glad that you don’t have any Galra blood in you

Doesn’t know that you speak Samoan until you’re both hanging out with Lance

You and Pidge are trying to work on a guidance system when Lance comes in and starts to flirt with you

Normally, you could deal with all of the flirting, but today was an exception

You two were so close to finishing the program but then got distracted when he showed up

You tried to ignore him for a good twenty minutes before you couldn’t hold back anymore

You turned towards him and said in the most calm voice: “Ai lau mea” (translation: ‘eat your own cock’)

You left the room leaving a confused Lance and an even more confused Pidge

When they catch up to you they’ll ask you what you told Lance

Embarrassed, you’ll tell them exactly what you said

They start laughing their ass off

Likes it when you speak Samoan when they’re around

It’s comforting to them

Tries to make a translator without you knowing but then gives up because they realize that in order to have a translator, you’d need to know some of the language

Settles for asking you to teach them (their main reason of wanting to learn Samoan is to talk shit about Lance in a language that he can’t understand)

Gets pretty good at Samoan (they love learning, so it makes it easier)

If you tell them that you love them in Samoan they’ll melt on the inside

Hunk (French s/o):

This boy loves his French s/o

Wanted to take this language in high school, but then decided against it

Doesn’t know that you speak French until you’re hanging out with Allura and Coran

You guys start to talk about all of the cultures of your planets and what was popular

Hunk brings up the fact that on Earth French is considered the language of love

Allura asks you if you can speak French

You respond: “Une seule langue n'est jamais suffisante” (translation: ‘one language is never enough’

You tell them what you’ve said afterwards and then you all share a laugh before continuing with the discussion beforehand

After he finds out that you can speak French he will ask you to teach him some of your language

This boy just wants to have conversations with you in French

Is actually a good student and absorbs the material

Isn’t as fast as Lance and Pidge, but he picks up on it pretty quickly

Tells you that he loves you in French just so he can get a reaction out of you

Loves it when you speak French, it just makes him feel happy that you feel comfortable enough to speak your native language around him

Some of these I had to search up so if I messed something up, don’t hesitate to tell me so I can change it!
