Senseis' as fathers with a child!reader that was born blind.
Senseis' include: Kakashi Hatake, Satoru Gojo, Yami Sukehiro, and Levi Ackerman.
Please keep in mind: All character & reader interactions are purely platonic. There is NO romance. The reader is somewhere below the age of twelve and is portrayed as non-binary. These drabbles are meant to be platonic, fluffy and comforting.

Kakashi Hatake
"Do you have a good sense of your surroundings?" Kakashi asked from where he knelt beside you.
You sported a determined expression that he couldn't help but to find both adorable and admirable. Even blind you still tried your hardest to improve your skills no matter how dangerous it may be. It made him proud and also worried him to death.
"Mhm," You nodded, tilting your head, "There's a tree five meters that way. I think I know where to go."
"Very good," Kakashi patted your back, "Just remember, if you happen to fall, I'll be right there to catch you."
"Ok, daddy," You smiled at him before focusing all your attention on using echolocation to navigate the branch you wanted to jump on. If you were going to be a ninja one day, you had to practice and train with all your might, "Here I go."
Kakashi held his breath while calmly waiting for you to make your jump, his body braced in precaution. A lump grew in his throat and sweat lightly dampened his clothes. Honestly, he might be over-thinking a bit, but he couldn't help it. He loved you so much, and while he respected your desires to train, he still worried about you tremendously.
He had lost so much in his life. Losing the most precious piece of it would cause him to go infinitely insane. Your blindness was an extreme vulnerability, and although you had grown well adapted to it, there was still much you had left to learn. And it didn't help his anxiety any when you decided to do dangerous activities like this.
In a flash, you jumped.
With a stumble, you landed perfectly on the tree branch. Wobbling to regain balance, you blushed in triumph and giggled, "Ah! Did you see that, daddy? I made it!"
Kakashi swiftly jumped onto the same branch, smiling proudly behind his mask, "Yes I did. That was well done, dongo, good job. At this rate, you'll be a ninja in no time."
Delighted by his praise, you grinned and began looking around, getting excited when you sensed yet another nearby branch. "There's another one," You grinned and went to jump.
Kakashi gasped and reached out for you, "Wait, (y/n), not so fast."
This time around, you didn't land where you were supposed to. In fact you didn't come into contact with any trees, and instead fell to the far away ground. "Ahh, daddy!" You cried.
Kakashi caught you in an instant, safely securing you in his arms while landing on a nearby branch, "You okay?"
You whimpered, hugging him tightly and frowning in failure, "Yes, but... I missed."
"That's okay," Kakashi quickly reassured you, running a soothing hand through your messy hair, "We all make mistakes. Why don't you try again, but this time, try not to let your emotions overwhelm you, ok? Often times emotions can be more blinding than blindness itself."
"But... What if I miss again?" You say sadly, "I-if I can't jump like I'm supposed to, then I'll never get to be a ninja, an-and you'll hate me, a-and I w-won't get to be like you-"
"Hey, hey, where's this coming from?" Kakashi grasped your shaking shoulders, looking into your milky, watery eyes, "Dongo, I could never hate you, so don't ever assume that, ok? And this was only your second attempt. You have plenty more to go. Don't be so hard on yourself. One of the most important things about being a ninja is never giving up. You're not giving up, are you?"
Quickly wiping your eyes, you shook your head and say softly, "Do you really think I can do it?"
Kakashi smiled and went to playfully pinch your cheek, kissing you on the forehead through his mask before saying, "I know you can. There's nothing you can't do, (y/n), and I'll always be right here by your side to make sure of that."
━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━
Levi Ackerman
Levi was enjoying one of his rare days off from the ever tiring Survey Corps. He hadn't gotten to see you in over a week- something he chewed Erwin out for sternly. By the time he entered his house, you came rushing towards him, your tiny figure accidentally bumping into things along the way.
"What did I say about running?" He grumbled, unable to resist hugging you whenever you were close enough, "Damn runt, gonna hurt yourself."
"I missed you, daddy," You say in a mixture of sadness and excitement, your cracking voice causing him to frown, "You were gone so long. I-I was scared you wouldn't come back."
"Hmp, so much for faith," Levi ruffled your hair, relief flooding him at finally getting to be at your side again, "Has nanny been good to you?"
You whimpered a bit, your glossy eyes pointing towards the ground, "I like her, but... She doesn't let me draw... or cook... or sew."
At that answer, Levi sighed and palmed his face, cursing nonsense underneath his breath. This was a common problem for you and him; nannies and babysitters not letting you do anything fun all because you were blind. None of them had any patience or consideration and it really got on his nerves.
"Tell me she read to you at least?" He rubbed his temple, not really in the mood to threaten another dumb nanny for mistreating his child, but if he had to he would absolutely give her a piece of his mind.
Your small "yes" was the only thing that saved her.
Seeing the dejection decorating your face, Levi tapped on your nose and said, "Well, you should know it's been a while since I've had some decent food. Get your little butt in there and cook me something already."
Gasping in joy at his given permission to do one of your favorite activities, you nearly leaped into the air, twirling around and giggling excitedly, "Yay! I get to cook for daddy."
Before you could run off, Levi grabbed your hand and grumbled, "No running this time."
You grumbled back at him and marched to the kitchen with a silly pout on your face. Levi shook his head, grinning as he thought about how much he loved you. Honestly, you being blind was kind of a relief to him simply because it meant that you would never be able to fight. And being the protective father he was, he rather preferred it that way.
You were already doing such a good job at basic daily activities like reading braille, learning how to write, cooking small meals, navigating your way through familiar places, and even drawing and sewing. People said you wouldn't develop properly when you were born. Well, Levi would like to see them say that to his face now.
Taking off his jacket, Levi none-too-politely paid the nanny and threw her out of his house. Then he went into the kitchen where you were currently working on mixing eggs in a bowl, your eyes staring mindlessly at the wall. You may be blind, but you made him so unbelievably proud, you had no idea.
"I'm making your favorite, daddy," You say cheerfully when you noticed his presence.
Levi smirked and went to put some fire in the stove, "'Bout time I was spoiled."
You giggled, carefully climbed down from the chair, and walked over to him, reaching out to feel for his hand, "Can I see you?"
After getting the fire started, Levi knelt down in front of you and patiently allowed you to touch his face with your hands. You often did this during moments when he held you, your little hands gently feeling the structure of his face in an attempt to get an idea of what he really looked like.
"I missed you, daddy," You say quietly.
Levi reached forward and pulled you into a firm, loving hug, kissing the side of your cheek, "Missed you too, you little runt."
━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━
Satoru Gojo
Who would have thought that his child would be born with beautiful crystal eyes like he himself had, and yet be cursed never to use them? Even though your disability was not his fault, Gojo still felt guiltily accountable, and always sought protecting you and making you the happiest he possibly could.
Starting a new morning, Gojo carried some fresh, folded clothes into your bedroom, quiet and stealthy. You were sleeping peacefully on your bed, your little snores causing his heart to flood with endearment. Gosh, you were so precious to him.
Setting the clothes down, Gojo knelt beside the bed and reached out to brush a gentle hand through your hair. You whimpered, your head stirring around on the pillow. "Hm? Hello? Rise and shine," He playfully sang.
You groaned softly, your body stretching out as your eyes squinted open. "Mm... Daddy?" You reached out to feel for him as your eyes stayed aimed towards the ceiling.
"Morning, my little angel," Gojo grabbed your hand and squeezed it gently, "Time to get up."
"Are you taking me to work today?" You asked curiously, tilting your head towards him, your hand tensing within his own larger one, "What if they don't like me?"
"Are you kidding me? They're gonna love you," Gojo blew raspberries and laughed, "And if they don't, then guess what? More butts' for me to leave my ultra-famous, Gojo styled foot print on."
Giggling at his joke, you reached out with your free hand and go to feel the blind-fold covering his powerful eyes, "I wish I could be more like you."
That sent a bullet roaring through Gojo's heart. He absolutely hated it when you degraded yourself and/or claimed that you wished you were different. It broke his heart more than you could ever imagine. "Hmm, well I love you just the way you are," He said casually.
"In fact I'd give up my own eyes any day to be just like you; free house, free food, the world's most riveting, handsome dad (if I do say so myself), and of course the opportunity to never have to work in a dangerous environment," Gojo smiled and patted your head, "There are plenty of reasons to be like you. Quit being so negative- you'll make the walls cry- and they don't even have eyes."
Letting go of your hand, Gojo grabbed your clothes and unceremoniously tossed them onto your face, "Hurry, hurry, or I'll eat all of the breakfast. Hm? Breakfast... Oh no, the breakfast!"
Sensing your father quickly disappear, you only manage to frown when the fire alarms began going off seconds later. Looks like he burnt breakfast... Again...
After you got dressed, brushed your teeth and headed down the hallway, you grimaced at the stench of burnt eggs. Goodness, what a silly father you had, but you loved him. Coming to a stop at the table where you sensed he was sitting at, you timidly held out a single band of cloth.
"Oh? What's this?" Gojo asked nonchalantly, pretending not to be embarrassed about, yet again, burning breakfast, "A scarf?"
"I... I thought that maybe... S-since I'm blind, maybe I could wear something like what you wear to cover your eyes. Then that way..." You frowned, tilting your nose down at the ground, "That way they won't know I'm blind. They'll think I'm strong, like you."
If your words could be knives, then they would have just sliced right through his chest. Still though, he managed to maintain his optimistic, calm persona, "What? You wanna lie to your new friends? Well that's not very nice. Their hearts would be broken in seconds."
"But..." You whimpered.
"Listen, (y/n)," Gojo reached out to grasp your shoulder, squeezing it gently, "You're not like me. You will never be anything like me. Why- you may ask? Because you're already a million times better."
You sniffled, leaning in to hug him, grateful that he so greatly accepted and loved you no matter how flawed you were, "I love you, daddy."
"I love you too, little angel who is stronger and cooler and- while I hate to admit it- better looking than me," Gojo teased, your laughter his haven that he could live in forever.
He loves you, (y/n), remember that.
━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━
Yami Sukehiro
Yami, in general, was already extremely protective of you, especially after he discovered that you would forever be blind. Now that's not to say that he didn't encourage you to push past your limits. In fact he helped you train all the time. But see, the only problem he had with you training was when you trained by yourself.
And when he found out that you had been flying around on a broom by yourself thus leading to the breaking of your arm, Yami just about tore the rooftops off buildings with his sheer rage alone.
He was in the medical ward giving Magna and Luck a good scolding until you came prattling up, your arm perfectly healed by healing-magic. "Daddy, please stop being mean to Magna and Luck," You whined, tears in your eyes as you lightly shook, "I'm sorry. It's my fault... I went outside without their permission and rode the broom... It's my fault."
The entire ward went dead silent as Yami turned all his attention to you. Considering how bad his temper could get, you were pretty brave for admitting your mistake. And the look on your face; embarrassed, frightened and sad. He knew that you were telling the truth.
"Alright then," Yami relaxed and stepped forward to take your healed hand in his, his voice calm as he said, "Think it's 'bout time you and I had a little chat."
You whimpered but otherwise said nothing the entire time your father lead you just outside the ward. You knew from how he treated others that making him angry resulted in a scary outcome, and you worried what he would do to you now that you've finally done something to upset him. You felt bad too. Sad and regretful.
Once you were outside, Yami let go of your hand and lit a cigarette, "So... Ya just thought ya could do whatever the heck ya wanted to, huh?"
You tensed, your blind eyes staring at the ground, "I did a bad thing. I'm sorry, daddy."
Yami considered you. Unlike other people who annoyed him, he had never really ever gotten mad at you. Seeing how scared you were right now was suffocating enough to make him pout. Was he really making you that uncomfortable? But... He was your father. You shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable around him.
"Ya know, if this were me an' my dad, I woulda' already got my head beat in," Yami blew out a cloud of smoke, "Lucky for you though, I ain't him... I do wanna know one thing though- If all ya wanted to do was ride a damn broom, why didn't ya ask for help?"
You swayed back and forth, fiddling with your hands, "'Cause... You don't need help, an'..."
Ah. So you wanted to be like him. Yami closed his eyes in understanding. "Squirt, get over here an' look at me," Yami crouched down and guided your tiny hand to rest against the side of his face.
He in return cupped your face, gazing into your foggy eyes and saying, "I don't need help 'cause I'm all grown an' got full control over my mana. You're still a tiny, little sprout. Now if ya wanna train, that's fine, but 'till then, you train when someone else is around to help, ya hear?"
You nodded, your lower lip wobbling, "Yes, daddy."
"Eh? I go easy on ya an' you're still about'a cry? Talk about sensitive," Yami chuckled a bit, gently whacking your nose with his thumb.
"I-it's not you, daddy, I..." You whimpered, your body buckling up, "When I fell- i-it... It was just so scary a-and it hurt..."
Oh. Yami's face bloomed with realization. Oh... That was your first traumatic experience, huh? No wonder you were so upset. At first he thought about teasing you or making a sarcastic remark, but ultimately decided against it.
Instead he settled for wrapping his arms around you and pulling you against his large chest. "It'll be alright, squirt. You're tough. You'll pull through. Everything's gonna be alright, ya hear?"
Soaking up his comforting warmth and attention, you whimpered and nodded, trying your hardest to hide in the safety of his chest. Your father was so strong and comforting. With him around, it was guaranteed that you would always be safe.

Hey!if you do headcanons can you do platonic relationship headcanons for Mikasa and Reiner and maybe a parental relationship with Levi?also you don’t have to do all of them lolol (and I would prefer a fem reader please!)
aot platonic relationship headcannons
Tumblr media
ft — levi ackerman, mikasa ackerman, reiner braun.
warnings — none, which is surprising for something aot related
a/n — MY FIRST REQUEST! I’M SO HAPPY!
Tumblr media
LEVI ACKERMAN
you and all the rest of the gang lowkey viewed levi as a father figure of some sorts.
it makes sense since you were orphaned and young, craving for parental affection and stuff.
you all had been through a lot together, and levi’s dealt with a lot of loss in his lifetime.
he would let the beast titan chuck him like a baseball before ever admitting he held any amount of care for you (but we all know it’s in there somewhere).
he’s a great mentor and parental figure, despite being harsh.
i definitely feel like you could just go and vent to him about whatever, and he’d either just sit there and listen silently or give a few words of advice.
DEFINITELY the type to scold you. you and the crew would be doing all kinds of shit (obv spurred on by hange) and he’d be on the verge of losing his shit.
“for god’s sake, would you all just FUCK O–”
but usually when he’s annoyed by your antics, he’d just glare at you or say “tch..” under his breath.
a great hand to hand combat teacher, but you’d get absolutely shitted on whenever you’d fight him.
he’d blankly state where you went wrong, what you could’ve done, or if you missed a blind spot as he’s throwing out punches and sidestepping.
after the sessions, you’d always leave with a bunch of muscle pain and bruises.
calls you brat so frequently to the point it was a bit of a shocker whenever he’d call you by your actual name.
you and the squad have accidentally called him ‘dad’ on MANY occasions and usually he’d just side eye you.
gets so MAD whenever a place is unclean or if you’ve made a mess.
“y/n.. get over here. clean this mess you’ve made.
“on it dad!” you’d salute and he’d threaten to throw you into a titans mouth if you didn’t hurry the fuck up.
overall, a traumatised man makes an elite parental figure for a bunch of equally traumatised teenagers.
MIKASA ACKERMAN
you guys met in the cadet corps, and you were basically in awe with how she seemed to do everything so effortlessly.
you noticed how she hung around with eren and armin a lot, but stayed alone whenever all the girls stayed in the barracks.
it wasn’t that she was hostile, she was just quiet and probably passed the eyes of a lot of people.
you decided to make your way up to her and strike up a conversation. at first, you could tell she was quite reserved, but overtime as your friendship blossomed you grew fond of her dry humour and passive expression.
through mikasa, you also grew quite close to eren and armin.
through you, mikasa got closer to the rest of the squad.
DEFINITELY the mother hen of the group.
constantly badgering you over injuries you suffered, or telling you to eat or to get some rest.
would probably slam you during training sessions, but would try her best to help you with technique and forms.
i feel like she’s the type of person to ominously hover behind you as you’re talking to someone else and kinda just stare at them until they get uncomfortable and leave.
it wouldn’t even be on purpose, she just wanted to hang around you silently.
HOWEVER, could definitely scare off someone who’s visibly pissing you off with a silent death stare.
the best person to tell secrets to, she would never tell a soul.
late night talks where you’d just talk about everything and anything under the stars.
she’d open up to you about eren and the mixed feelings she felt about him.
you’d also open up to her about whatever, and she’d be the best listener.
gives very straightforward advice but it’s oddly comforting.
overall, a 10/10 friend in whether you want someone to confide in, or someone to beat a dude’s ass.
REINER BRAUN (before the armoured titan reveal)
best older brother figure!!!!!
for some reason, it felt easy to trust him.
he was just a dude everyone liked and respected, since he was so good natured and down to earth.
he’d also give crazy bear hugs.
you’d widen your arms for a casual hug and he’d absolutely engulf you.
it may or may not seem like it, but he’s got a great sense of humour.
i feel like he’d be scarily good at card games.
he’d teach you how to shuffle and how to play loads of random games.
the only time you were ever able to beat him was in a game of snap, but that was only because he sneezed the moment the cards were matched up and you slapped your hands on top of them.
you cheer and celebrate, and he just lets you have it despite the unfair circumstances.
but don’t think he’ll ever let you win again.
has really good vibes and is just a guy you can’t hate.
overall, a very great and supportive buddy.

We’ve seen what Levi is like in pregnancy but what is he like as a dad?
Platonic Yan!Dad Levi Headcanons
Tag List: @issamomma @repostingmyfavs
Warnings: Platonic yandere themes, child reader, over protective tendencies, controlling behavior, punishment spanking with a belt, missing person
Checkout my Master List here.
—————————————————————————
When reader is ten years old:
☕️He’s hella strict. You have an early bedtime, and you always have to wake up early as well. He makes sure you stay polished and hygienic because of his OCD. He shows you how to clean up after yourself, and if he even finds a stray toy in the living room, he’ll make you stop whatever it is you’re doing so that you can put it away.
☕️Levi is very over protective of you. He 100% will not let you even think about joining the corps. “I wanna be just like daddy when I grow up!” He gives you a withering look as dread immediately fills him. No, sweetie, no you don’t. You have no idea what it means to be a soldier, to see your comrades die right in front of you, to have to keep on fighting while others are left behind. You have no idea what hell you’ll have to go through to even awaken the Ackerman gene. He’ll sit you down and tell you in a short lecture that you will never be a soldier in the corps.
☕️He wants to see you succeed in life, but you can succeed with a tame job as a flower shop or book store owner.
☕️Levi is hiring soldiers who are equipped enough to be bodyguards. He makes sure that they have enough strength to be able to defend you against Titans or any sort of danger in case he’s not there.
☕️He makes his love for you known when he’s tucking you into bed at night and telling you a story his mother used to tell him when he was a child. He gives you a gentle kiss on the forehead before you go to sleep.
———
When reader is fifteen:
☕️He is still over protective of you and very strict. You claim that you’re old enough to not need body guards, and you’re still very adamant about wanting to join the corps. You’ll pout at him, “I’m probably the only Ackerman that doesn’t have any cool powers like you.”
☕️He’ll just brush you off and say, “And you never will be. Now, go study.”
☕️When you try to go behind his back to apply for the Survey Corps (honestly, he’s the captain. What did you expect?) he’s walking you all the way home while pinching your ear.
☕️“Papa, stop! It hurts!”
☕️Because of his childhood, he would never take a meal away from you as a punishment. He isn’t a fan of locking you in your room either, but it gets the job done. He busts your ass with his belt and grounds you, and you have to go to sleep on your stomach.
☕️He makes sure to spend time with you because he doesn’t always want you to see him as this strict father figure. He wants you to know that you can talk to him about what’s going on in your life.
☕️You try to tell him you have a crush on the boy who lives across the street from you, and that boy suddenly goes missing (assumed to have been fooling around by the wall). So sad for you. Papa Levi is there to console you.

Heya! Could a request a platonic!Levi Ackerman x cadet!reader? The reader used to live in the underground and kind of finds a sort of kinship with Levi, bonding over their shared trauma- if that makes sense
Ofc, no pressure to write this! But, if you do write it, I hope you have fun with it!!
Writer note:
Hello! Thank you for requesting <3! And ofc! I would love to write this fun idea! :3 He might be abit ooc, but hopefully not so much! I made a small snip it and a headcannon area since I didn't know which one you wanted! -----------------
Tw: Mention of child trafficking
Platonic!Levi Ackerman x Cadet!Reader who comes from the under-ground "Instead of seeking people who can stop the bleeding, we're attracted to those with similar wounds, who may not know how to find a way out of the darkness, but suffice, simply because they're in the same boat as us."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Headcannon:
his first reaction to hearing a cadet being from the underground was a bit mixed. For one, the undergrounds weren't an area a child would normally be unless they were from a poor or broken family. Even in dark cases, child trafficking. Another is, he doesn't like to get into people's personal life so he just shrugs it off. I imagine him being surprised but also not that interested to just ask you about it.
If you did decide to talk to him and figure out more about him he'll turn interested about how you got to the undergrounds. He will say a thing or two of his own experience in the start of you both talking.
Once you tell him how you got there he can react multiple way. For one if you were from a poor family he'd feel connected to that since he grew up dirty and without anything. The only money and resources coming from his mother who was a prostitute.
But if you were a child being trafficked he'd feel anger rise. His mother was a prostitute and was trafficked into that lifestyle because of lack of resources. Seeing her cry and wonder what she can do and even if she could continue whilst having Levi as a young child at home while she was gone for hours. That's one hell of an image stuck in his head ever since he was a child. He couldn't imagine a young child or teenager going through that made his world crumble. He always hated children getting hurt even if he had no interest in having his own or even being around children
The more and more you both continue to talk he felt like he met someone who could relate to him besides his old friends. He grew comfort in knowing someone could relate and he wasn't the only who had these feelings.
soon he started to see you like a sibling or his child you could say. Talking to you more and checking up on you, though he never gave special treatment during training since he wanted you to grow as your own person just like him, yet he also wanted you to defend yourself enough against titans.
he starts giving you small head pats and small learning lessons he's gotten from Erwin when he was first brought into the Survey Corps. Though he changed a couple of things to make it more understanding.
If you ever gained some sort of mental health disorder then he would try his best to help. In this period of time mental health disorders wouldn't be known as much, but Levi as far as he was concern he knew these were stress signs since he had gotten PTSD from his time of serving and even his underground times. So he would spend nights with you giving you tea and calming you down even if it was just sitting in silence.
------------------------
It was night time and Levi was awake since he couldn't fall asleep for some odd reason. Sitting in his office drinking tea and just writing papers and papers. Documents he had to fill days ago and he had fallen behind. Suddenly his peace of silence was broken by a light knock at his door. He sighed as he spoke up. "come in"
The door made a small creak as it was open before letting out a loud thud as it was shut. He raised an eyebrow at who entered but soon recognized the familiar face. "Couldn't sleep again?"
"no....I keep getting those weird pauses again" you shrugged as you took a seat on one of the chairs in front of his desk. "mh...you want me to make that tea for you again or?" Levi asked as he looked up at you from looking at his papers. You nodded your head as he stood up and went to a small area of his office. He had his personal area to make tea since he didn't want to walk all the way down to the kitchen to make his tea. Once he was finished he settled down the cup in front of you as he sat down drinking his own tea while the sounds of rain hit against the window. "Levi...does..it ever go away?"
The question surprised him before he just sighed putting down the papers he held in his hands. "no...some may say scars will heal, but they never do. Scars can't go away no matter what you do. You can bandage them, wash them, cover them, or just ignore them. Yet they will always be there because huge scars aren't always healed up. You need to come to terms that the scar is there and always will be and the only thing you can do is understand why the scar is there." "as much as it is shitty to feel like crap you can't heal a wound, but you can learn to live with it and understand why it's there. Learn to grow and understand the world." he sighed as he stared right at you. His grey eyes looking genuine and comforting. He looked back down and then noticed the time. "how about you go to bed now? you need your strength for tomorrows training" "I want to stay just for abit.."
"be my guest then, but if you wake up tired don't blame me and I'll make sure to kick your ass if you can't function tomorrow" "I know sir" "good.."
---------------------------- I hope you enjoyed this! It was a very fun prompt and I loved writing it! :3 Hope you liked it !!

Hello! How about a platonic friendship Levi x artist reader?
Content warning: none. Not proofread Requests are open I hope to improve my writing! I apologize if anything is OOC.
None of the other soldiers were around during this time and maybe it was the quiet nature of it that was welcoming, perhaps it depended on how you were feeling that day. Occasionally, after dinner when all the other soldiers had returned to the barracks or were occupied with other duties, you and Levi would meet in the mess hall for a cup of tea. Over time, it became a sort of ritual at this point, that the two of you shared together, there was nothing planned really it just sort of happened over time and at this point, you even knew exactly how the captain liked his tea since he made it the exact same way each time. While you drank whichever beverage or drink you were in the mood for.
You shifted slightly on the wooden chair as it creaked and you had your drink on the table. Although no Levi was in sight as your head turned to look at the doorway to the mess hall. It wasn’t as if you and him had ever scheduled to sit together, because neither of you did that and the captain was quite the busy man and frankly not the most socially competent person when it came to what was acceptable or not in social settings. While you did exchange some personal details and attempted to share a few laughs, he wasn't exactly your friend. However, you two were merely comrades, and while true comradery existed with everyone, it’s outright difficult to gain genuine connections while being in the Survey Corps as a result of the high mortality rate. Dismissing any of these nagging thoughts of insecurity and doubt that began to seep in, you were determined not to let them cloud your mind. You simply took out one of your sketchbooks and put it on the table with a thud. These post-dinner moments afford you the luxury of a moment for yourself and the time for you to indulge in drawing. Taking a sip of your drink and opening the sketchbook, now ready to draw and let your creativity flow. As the pen’s tip makes contact with the paper you find yourself sitting there, your gaze fixed on the white paper of your handy sketchbook. Oh no, the all too familiar art block had struck again, just when you've managed to carve out some precious time to actually draw. You emitted an audible groan, as you lowered your head onto the sketchbook in what felt like a moment of defeat. However, it doesn’t take long before your determination comes back as you sit up properly on the wooden chair and stretch your back. There was no way you’d give up now, you couldn’t afford it, not when you’ve not had time to draw for days. Perhaps you could find an object in the room to study, you had kept studying at arm's length for a while now, and while it may not be particularly captivating it wouldn’t hurt to do it. As quickly as that idea comes to you, your mind began to wander to other ideas. Maybe you could find someone and ask them if they could be a model for you as you draw a portrait of them. As you tap the pen against your cheek, lost in deep thought, thinking more about what to draw than the actual physical act of drawing, your face unconsciously started to contort as you closed your eyes hard and your mouth turned into a thoughtful pout. Sitting there for a few minutes just thinking, with your face like that, if someone would walk by they’d probably wonder what you were doing-
''Tch, Are you trying to take a shit or something?''A voice interrupted your thoughts and you almost jumped in your seat. Your eyes dart to the source of the voice only to see the all too familiar short man standing by the table holding a teacup. ''No, I was not in fact trying to… defecate. Just trying to get myself out of this block.'' Levi sits down opposite of you with a sigh taking a sip of his warm tea, his exhausted eyes not even meeting yours. ''Good, because that would be absolutely disgusting if you were.'' He dryly states.
You couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle in response. ''You weren’t here during your usual time so I assumed you were busy. A meeting?'' You remarked, Levi then took a moment to respond, calmly sipping his tea. ''Yeah and eyebrows took his damn time, it wasn’t anything pivotal, that I can tell you.'' He mutters, placing his cup back down on the table. Although curiosity almost got the better of you, tempting to press further and ask him about the meeting. You rather quickly take notice of the evident exhaustion on his face, so you decide to leave that topic swiftly. ''I see. Well, it's good that it wasn't anything too pressing'' Levi turns his gaze down to the sketchbook before looking back up with a raised eyebrow. ''what sort of block are you dealing with?'' He asks, his question catching you slightly off guard, as it’s often a surprise when he displays any genuine intrigue even if mild. You eagerly take the opportunity to share your interests. ''An art block.'' You simply state.
''A what?'' The captain slightly raises his eyebrows and squints, a mild expression that could only be described as puzzled, ''You know, those moments when it’s quite difficult to come up with drawing ideas and struggle to be able to put it down on paper.''
''That sounds stupid.'' He comments dryly, ''Have you considered disciplining yourself better?'' He retorts, failing to grasp the fundamental concept of creativity in art and what goes on when you make it.
''Come on, art is not like physical training or fighting. It requires time because creativity is something you have to let your mind process. Developing an idea before you even start the physical drawing aspect,'' You turn the pages in your sketchbook and showcase him a page with a few sketches on it, ''And sometimes your idea also develops while you’re drawing.'' You point out to him while showing a few sketches, ones he's already familiar with since you've previously shared them with enthusiasm. As you started to share insight about your work, delving into each piece, detailing how the ideas came to you and the process of working on it, Levi simply patiently listened to you.
''Quite intriguing,'' Levi remarks with a touch of sarcasm. You can't help but feel a slight pout forming, feeling like you had to prove yourself, to prove your point in some way. While you do hold respect for the captain, there are times when he could be a real arse at times. ''Okay fine look here,'' You open a blank page in your sketchbook and began sketching out basic shapes. ''What are you doing?'' Levi asks and you quickly hush him. ''Just watch and see what I mean.'' Levi squints his eyes as he leans against the table and watches you sketch. As you sketch out a circle Levi couldn’t help but comment. ''Is that your attempt at drawing a dung beetle rolling a ball of shit.'' You immediately pause and look up at him with a deadpan expression. ''Is shit jokes all you can make? No, I am putting down shapes so it’ll be easier to draw.'' Levi just scoffs lightly in response and remains quiet as he silently observes you draw. You commented here and there on the art itself while it was beginning to take shape after a few minutes, looking like a person. ''Where are their clothes?'' Levi points out, and you couldn’t help but mutter a curse under your breath while also letting out a chuckle at the same time, it was evident he was deliberately attempting to provoke you. ''I have a slight suspicion you’re intentionally trying to piss me off.'' You couldn’t help but feel the corners of your mouth twitch in amusement. You knew Levi enough by now that he wasn’t trying to be actually mean to hurt your feelings. His words somehow did get you out of your block though.
''Since you can’t stop commenting on what I’m doing, why don’t you attempt drawing yourself.'' You smile as you push your sketchbook to him and put the pencil down next to it, delighted to see captain Levi attempt to draw. ''No.'' Levi simply states the wooden chair creaks as he leans back in it and crosses his arms, ''Oh, why not? please?'' You practically plead. Levi sighs, clenching his jaw a bit. ''It serves me no purpose to.'' He admits dryly. Perhaps trying to give him the puppy dog eyes would convince him. ''Please? for me?''
Levi maintained an unflinching gaze, his expression deadpan and unmoving. He was not one bit amused at your attempt to pull off that trick on him. ''Fine, but let’s be clear, it’s only because whatever the fuck you were trying to do there with your face was annoying. I don’t want to see that again, is that clear?'' ''Yes, sir.'' You gulp a bit, forgetting he was your superior after all. ''Tch.'' He lets out, not happy with you calling him sir. ''Don’t call me that, it makes me feel old.'' He mutters as he picks up the pen. ''But you kind of are old?'' You grin a bit, however, you regret saying that immediately after. ''Do you want me to fucking draw or not?'' Levi retorts.
You simply nod and he removes his attention from you and back to the paper. Levi was holding his pen slightly too tight and a subtle grimace was present on his face as he started to draw on the paper. You couldn’t help but watch, quite intrigued, but soon found yourself genuinely perplexed about what he was trying to actually draw. Wondering if you should encourage him or get back at him, you choose the latter. ''Is that a potato?'' You point to the object he was drawing. ''No.'' He muttered, not even looking up at you.
The drawing begins to develop and the shapes become a bit more familiar, you think at least, you weren’t sure, ''Is that a dog?'' You genuinely question this time. ''No, it’s a horse.'' Levi responds, hesitantly following it with, ''Alright, now I get how it felt to be in your position.'' He concedes with a grumble, acknowledging defeat in a way. Feeling a sense of triumph you smile to yourself.
Levi continues to draw, struggling a bit as he accidentally smudges some stuff, trying to erase stuff only to then redraw things. You quickly get him a tissue, fully aware that Levi wouldn't appreciate the lingering coal residue on his hands. Grateful, Levi acknowledges your gesture with a nod, cleaning his fingers quite thoroughly. When done Levi then proceeds and continues, he sketches what appears to be somebody on a horse with a tree next to it, he also for some reason gives the person what you would assume to be massive eyebrows.
It quickly dawns on you who Levi is actually drawing and you try to contain a laugh. It was the commander, he was attempting to draw Erwin Smith himself. ''Is that who I think it is.’’ You almost snort. ''What do you think?'' Levi responds back crudely as he looks up and puts down the pen, seemingly finished, ''You got his eyebrows right, that’s for sure. Hold it up for me?'' Levi reluctantly holds the drawing up so you can take a closer look, a small pout forming on his face.
''Well… the drawing is… nice.'' You give him a cheesy smile, ''It’s got personality, that’s what matters.'' You add, Levi scoffs in response and puts down the paper clearly not too happy. ''Shut up…'' You felt a bit bad, it’s not something you thought you’d ever see from him, it appeared he might’ve been embarrassed about not being the most professional artist. That’s what it at least seems to you, it was hard to tell when it comes to Levi sometimes. ''I’m sorry, genuinely though, I do appreciate you taking your time drawing and letting me watch. Maybe I could help teach you sometime?'' You tried to be helpful this time feeling like you shouldn’t make fun of him any more, feeling too guilty about it. He remained silent and looked away. ''yeah, sure.''
''Perhaps you should show this to the commander too, I’m sure he’d appreciate it!'' you quickly add, ''Absolutely not.'' He growled.
Thank you for reading, this is the first reader fic I've done. I am really sorry if Levi is OOC or anything like that. Quite a challenge to write. I hope to improve my writing by doing these requests as I know there's a lot of work to do on it. I couldn't help but also do a little sketch of how I personally visualised how Levi drew his drawing, so here's a little bonus!

Hello people!
This is my first ever AOT x Reader attempt so it isn't gonna be perfect! I might keep writing more idk, but it all will be platonic. That's all basically. Hope ya'all enjoy. 🖤
Tumblr media
Levi x gn!injured reader (platonic)
You, growing up with Levi since the underground, were like a sibling to him. Someone who has been through hell with him. Someone who he sweared to protect no matter what.
That being said, he trusted you and your skills. He knew you could handle yourself just fine. No one underestimated you and your strength. But even so he could not help himself but to worry. Not that he would show it.
His eyes scanned every single corner as he flyed effortlessly with his ODM gear through the half demolished town. Hoping to catch a sight of you. Alive and unharmed.
"Tch". He grumbled to himself as his brows furrowed in distress, unable to deny his distraught thoughts.
Landing on one of the buildings with ease, he observed the debries down. All he could see was destroyed buildings.
Not far from where he was, he noticed a titan running mindlessly toward a building. He contemplated his decision for a second wether to kill the monster or just leave it be so he could start over looking for you.
Deciding to finish off the titan, he swiftly swayed in air, landing a firm and deadly slice to its nape before the giant fell down with a loud thud, motionless.
From the corner of his eye he caught glimpse of a green cape on the ground not too far from him. Turning his head to it, his stoice eyes widened in disbelieve.
Your (e/c) eyes, half opened, staring at the half clouded sky. Seemingly about to rain any moment now.
You winced in pain as you clutched your bloodied side with your left hand. Not able to move your right arm too much, as you tried to sit up, only to fall back down instantly. Feeling pain all over your body.
You came crashing down hard minutes ago while trying to kill a titan. But you acted too recklessly, as the titan snatched the wire on your ODM gear, sending you flying to a building.
Your right shoulder getting dislocated on the first impact. Trying to stabilize yourself as you fell, you lost grip on one of your swords, the blade breaking into pieces on the second impact falling down, the sharp shards lunging to your right side. You were sure you sprained one of your ankles too since at the moment you didn't feel much due to adrenaline.
You didn't know how long has it been since you were lying there, staring at the sky.
Blood covering your right side, hand and clothes, it felt warm. Making a small red puddle beside you, yet you shivered in cold.
"(Y/N)!"
You heard someone calling your name. Completely missing the loud thud due to your hazy mind.
"(Y/N)!"
Again! Your lips turned to a small smile, thinking you heard Levi. To you it seemed as if you were only dreaming. Untill a hand cupped your cheek gently, jolting you awake from your hazed thoughts.
"Hey! Eyes on me!" His grey eyes scanned your form as he kneeled beside you, taking note of your injuries. It seemed his brows furrowed even further and frown even deeper.
Shakely calling his name, his eyes turned to your eyes. "I messed up."
Admitting, you wince as your breath hitched. Your eyes fluttering.
"Shh! Keep your eyes open." His voice stern, but you could see his eyes softening as he carefully and gently picked you up in his strong arms. At this point he didn't care about the blood making his hands and uniform dirty.
Letting out few grunts as the pain soared in your body, Levi almost regreted his choice of actions. No matter what he did, you still were going to be in pain. He didn't like it, but he didn't have any other choice. If you were going to make it, he had to take you back to the medics as soon as he could.
The side effect of losing blood finally catching up, you felt light headed. Your lids feeling heavy no matter how much you tried to keep them open.
"Stay awake. Don't you dare fall asleep." His voice lulled you even deeper into closing your eyes and just sleeping.
"Sorry..." You managed before your eyes closed completely, body going limp as your head rested on his chest.
"Tch. Brat! Stay with me." He couldn't help letting his voice waver. He couldn't lose you too. He wasn't ready to lose you. Not yet.
His speed increased. Holding you close, his grip tightened around you. He wanted to make sure you are still there. He wanted to make sure you survived. He wished he wasn't so late...
You felt a single drop of water on your bloodied cheek before your consciousness slipped away completely.
'Was it the rain?' You wondered.

I Know Your Pain - Levi Ackerman
Tumblr media
A/N: I started writing this a long time ago when I was working through writing for everyone on my masterlist, before my inbox was flooded with requests. I hope this turned out alright. And for the person who sent in a Levi request months ago, I promise I haven’t deleted it yet. I just want to finish the show before I get around to your request. I’m sorry for the long wait. I hope this is something, though.
Warnings: Loss of a loved one, vomiting
Just because you weren’t a part of Levi’s squad doesn’t mean he doesn’t know who you are. You worked with Hange, and her squad always worked with Levi’s, so he was aware of your presence. In fact, you were one of the few people he’d willingly eat with, or spend his free time with. You got your work done in a timely manner and your presence wasn’t unbearable. You were quiet but could carry a conversation.
You usually spent the evenings with Levi in his office. You always claimed that your roommates were too loud, and Hange’s constant movements and outbursts stressed you out, so you asked Levi if you could work in his office.
So when you didn’t show up one night after an expedition with Hange’s squad, Levi was slightly concerned. Were you hurt and in the infirmary? He hoped not, he’d taken a liking to you and didn’t want to see you injured. Where you dead? God, you better not be. He’d kill you himself if you were. He didn’t want to keep thinking these terrible thoughts, so he went to ask Hange himself.
“Four eyes!” Ah, yes, his go-to greeting. “Where’s Y/N? I have work for them to do.”
Hange slowly lifted her head from her hands, eyes drooped low. Now Levi knew something was wrong. His best friend was never this quiet. Were you really dead? No, you were too strong of a soldier to have died out there.
Hange cleared her throat, then wiped at her eyes. “I don’t know. I gave her the rest of the week off.”
Levi’s jaw tensed. “The rest of the week? It’s only Monday!” His voice was rough. He hoped it covered up his worry.
“Considering their best friend just died only a few hours ago, I think they’ll need the week to recover and grieve.”
So someone did die. Levi took a deep breath, relieved that you were at least alive. “Oh, I see.” The man turned to the door and stepped out of the room. “I will leave them be, then.” That was a lie. Levi was now on the hunt, looking everywhere for you.
Your bedroom was empty. You weren’t in the kitchen, library, or with the other cadets. You were nowhere to be found. Not even Erwin knew where you were. Levi was at a loss. As he walked through the corridors, he listened to the rain as it poured outside. Surely you weren’t out there.
“Captain!” Levi turned around, watching as a cadet ran towards him.
Levi raised an eyebrow. “What is it, cadet?”
The man running slowed to a stop. He took a deep breath. “There’s someone outside.”
“And why does this concern me?” Levi was growing agitated. He had more pressing matters than someone standing out in the rain. That was their choice, therefore it wasn’t his problem.
“I think it’s one of Hange’s squad members,” the cadet spoke. “I wouldn’t say anything if I didn’t think something was wrong, sir. But they’ve been out there ever since their squad returned.”
“Where?” Levi’s voice was stern now.
“Out by the stables-”
Levi didn’t let the boy finish, taking off running towards the stables. That had to have been you out there. Where else could you have been? But how long have you been out there? Hange returned to her office at least 3 hours ago. Levi had seen her walk down the hall and past his office. So you had to have been out there for hours now at least.
When the door to the outside opened, Levi was immediately stung with hard, monstrous rain drops. It was raining so hard he could barely see. Running off in the direction of the stables, Levi almost slipped and fell several times due to all of the mud. He cursed the weather as he kept running.
Soon enough, Levi could see the silhouette of a stray horse standing out in the rain. As he got closer he could see someone sat upon the horse.
“Easy,” he said, slowing to a walk when he neared the horse. He put his hand on the horse’s behind, petting the creature as he walked to the saddle. He looked up to see you sat still, looking down to your hands. They had remnants of blood left on them, the rest having been washed off by the rain. The scout’s regime’s symbol was gripped tightly in your hands. It must have belonged to your friend.
“Y/N,” Levi said softly. “Come inside.” He received no response. He wasn’t even sure you had even heard him. He sighed, then reached for the lead of your horse, slowly leading it inside of the barn and out of the rain. He brought it into its stable and stepped up on a small set of stairs to be eye level with you. The sight hurt him. You were absolutely drenched, clothes clinging to you in any way they could. Your skin was pale but your eyes were a vibrant red. Levi was sure you were going to get sick.
“Come on,” he soothed, placing a warm hand against your cool arm. He pulled gently, sliding you off of your horse partially. He guided you down, catching you when you stumbled as your feet hit the ground. “I’ve got you, you’re alright.” He gently tugged you towards the entrance of the barn when a gut-wrenching sob escaped your lips. Then you screamed, falling limp and landing on your knees on the ground.
Levi quickly fell beside you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you tightly against his chest. “Shhh,” he whispered. “It’s ok. You’re alright.” He rocked you slowly as he let you sob into his scouting cloak. He knew how much pain you were in. How it felt to lose your best friend. And so he lets you scream and cry for as long as you need. Or, until you began to gag, choking on your own sobs. You pushed yourself away from Levi, moved a few feet away from him, and then turned your head to throw up.
When you were finished, Levi slowly placed a hand on your back to make sure you were alright. “Let’s go inside. We need to get you warmed up.” He gently slid an arm under your knees and one behind your back, pulling you to him as he stood.
He took you to his office first. There was a much smaller chance that anyone would see you like this, and he has better control of your surroundings when in his office. He sat you down in a chair across from his desk. When he pulled back to walk away, he noticed how you still hadn’t let go of your friend’s patch. “I’ll be back, I promise.” He placed a hand on your head for a moment before leaving.
Levi stepped into his bathroom. He crouched down at the sink and pulled out a clean towel. On his way back to you he set a pot of water to warm up for you. Some tea and soup would do you well. Then he made his way to kneel in front of you. “I’m going to dry you off, alright?” he said quietly. “We’ll get you into some dry clothes and then under some blankets, yeah?”
He started with your face, softly wiping away the tears and raindrops that stained your face. The towel moved from your face up to your hair where Levi patted it as dry as he could. You looked like a disaster. There were remnants of blood all over your body, and Levi hoped to God that it wasn’t your blood. You looked as pale as the reports on his desk, yet your eyes were bloodshot a deep red color.
Your captain tried as best he could to get the rest of you dry but you had been in the rain so long that your clothes could be considered ruined. There was nothing he could do to save them. His silver eyes met your (e/c) ones and his gaze softened. “We’re going to get you taken care of,” he promised. Then he stood, draping the now damp towel over his shoulder. “Stay here.” He wasn’t sure you’d be able to go anywhere in this state, but he needed something to fill the silence.
“I’m going to get you a change of clothes. I promise, you won’t be left alone for long.”
Levi made his way back to Hange’s office, hoping the scientist was still awake. Stepping into the room, he saw her just where she was last time he had come into her office.
“What do you want now, Levi?” she grumbled quietly, quickly sparing the man a glimpse before laying her head back down on her desk. “I’d like to be left alone.”
“I know, but I found Y/N,” he said softly. “They aren’t in a good state. They’ve been out in the rain ever since your squad returned.” He sighed, then continued. “I was wondering if you had any clothes that could fit her, or if she left any spare clothes in here.”
Hange slowly lifted herself from her desk and over to a cabinet, pulling out a folded outfit. She handed it to Levi. “These are their spare overnight clothes, for when they’re in the lab overnight or they’re too tired to go home.” She sighed tiredly. Hange looked almost as worn down as you, except she was much more functional than you were at the moment. “Good night, Levi. And make sure Y/N sees a medic. I’m not sure they’ve had their check-up yet.”
Levi bid his friend good night and made his way back to his office. He prayed you were alright still. This small trip took longer than he’d expected.
You were still slumped in the chair Levi had left you in. You were trembling now, and it sounded like you had stopped crying. Levi kneeled down in front of you, placing a hand on your knee to try and grab your attention. “Y/N,” he said softly, turning his head ever so slightly to meet your distant gaze. “I’ve returned with some dry clothes for you to change into while I start a fire.”
You didn’t move. You didn’t even acknowledge him. Levi was beginning to worry even more. You’ve been unresponsive for a while now. He hoped changing your clothes and your environment would help you feel better
“I can help you, if you'd like,” Levi offered, and when he still didn’t receive a response he placed the dry clothes on the floor behind him. His warm hands gently undone your cloak, hanging it on the side of the chair next to you. Next was your jacket, except you refused to let go of the wings of freedom you had clutched in your hands.
Levi slowly attempted to take the torn fabric from you. “I’ll give it back, I promise. Just let me help you change, then you can do whatever you want with it.”
You responded this time, only with a short nod as you loosened your grip on the wings of freedom, letting Levi set it to the side yet still in your sight. He peeled your jacket down your arms and set it on top of your cloak. His fingertips brushed over your hips as he pulled your shirt over your shoulders and arms, adding it to the pile of wet clothes. Your socks, shoes, and pants eventually made their way off as well, leaving you in your underclothes.
Levi took this time to look over you for any injuries. Usually one would be nervous, sitting undressed in front of their captain like this. Except Levi had performed routine exams after expeditions several times in your presence, sometimes even on you, so you thought nothing of it. There was a huge bruise forming across your back, but that seemed to be the worst of your injuries. You had a few cuts and scrapes here and there but nothing that required medical attention.
Levi carefully dressed you, pulling your night-shirt over your head and then guiding your legs through your lounge pants. Sticking to his word, he handed you the last remains of your friend’s uniform before making his way over to the fireplace. Sticking a few logs into the heated coals, he pushed the fire to grow, warming up the room even more. Then he moved over to the tea pot, pouting you a cup of tea as well as himself. Levi picked you up, carefully moving you over to the small sofa in front of the fireplace, sitting beside you. He handed you your tea, and the two of you sat in silence.
Later in the night, when you had finally warmed up and began to move a bit more, Levi instructed you to sit between his legs as he tried running a hairbrush through your ratted hair. You appreciated the personal attention, letting your captain do things you could not currently do on your own. His soft hands ran through your hair, trailing the brush as it smoothed out all of the rats and tangles.
It was going to be a rough next few days, weeks, maybe even months for you, but Levi would always be there to pick you up when you could no longer move on your own.

About Her - Levi Ackerman & Daughter!Reader
Synopsis | Levi Ackerman is not fond of people. That being said, with a daughter in tow, he must learn who to trust if he wants both of you to make it out alive. Just long enough so he can see you grow up
A/N | this is not LEVI X READER as in ROMANTIC!! IT IS STRICTLY FAMILIAL
**I had originally posted this from my old blog, but I've since deleted it. So I'm reposting it here! If you find another version of this titled ‘Red Winter’, that’s the old one
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Levi became a father young.
At the age of 19, a one night stand resulted in accidental pregnancy, and when the girl found out at two weeks, she decided she wanted nothing to do with the baby, as her parents would disown her for getting pregnant so young
and with a man she barely knew
Levi agreed to raise the child on his own; so when you were born, you were dumped on your father and your biological mother never spoke with Levi again
Levi had no idea how to raise a baby.
By some God given miracle, or perhaps just fatherly instinct, he managed to keep you alive.
at the age of 21, He had 2 companions who helped care for you, and who were the only other people to know of your existence beside your father
They weren’t allowed to hold you or be near you unless Levi was also in the room, but they cooed over your chubby cheeks and loved you like older siblings all the same
Running a crime ring with Farlan and Isabel certainly got him enough money to buy you food and keep a roof over your head, but it was never enough to get you a home on the surface like he wished
Until he was offered a job, which led to him being cornered by the Survey Corps
When Erwin Smith offered him a position in the Survey Corps and to be cleared of their crimes, as opposed to what could be a life sentence, he knew he couldn’t rot in jail and leave you alone
Or worse; be put in a home that wasn’t with him.
“She’s almost 2, you know.”
“Hm?”
“My daughter. What will happen to her if I agree to join you?”
Erwin knew by the look of him, Levi wouldn’t agree to any options that separated him from you
“We can house her with you and the other scouts, if you’d prefer. But I’m not sure how the other men housing with you would handle a baby.”
That was a good enough answer for Levi. He wouldn’t let you go anywhere he couldn’t follow
Your 2nd birthday came and went as he, Farlan, and Isabel were stationed at a cantonment somewhere between Trost and Ragako
the other scouts quickly learned how strange of a child you really were. You didn’t cry or fuss very much–which they were thankful for, but you stared
a lot.
You would sit off to the side while Levi went through what the other scouts called “training”. For him it was nothing more than a breeze
However, your eyes stayed glued to him at all times
It freaked out some of the other scouts–unnerved them, even–that a 2 year old had a stare so intense
Hange was easily fascinated by you and your odd behavior, rambling on about how toddlers are normally very hyperactive and tend to be very loud and/or whiny, But as long as you could at least see your father, you remained quiet and content
The only thing was your stare
Levi was easily very protective of you, not letting anyone touch or hold you (Especially not Hange. That lunatic was too rowdy)
The maids were responsible for you whenever Levi wasn’t around, which was rarely
When time came for the 23rd expedition, Levi hounded the housewives responsible for watching you while he was gone; He made the message very clear you were to be kept clean, safe, and happy
And you were :)
But they still feared for their lives
By the time he returned, he had been so disheartened he just silently took you back to the barracks without saying a word to anyone
That night he hugged your tiny body into his side and cried silently in his bunk
Coming to trust Erwin had been… a process. But by the time your were 5 he trusted Erwin enough to let him hold you
Erwin sat you on his shoulders, and you got so excited about being up so high up you talked the scouts’ ears off for six hours
Levi didn’t let him hold you after that.
Erwin did it again anyway.
When you were 8, Levi finally let you ride on the horses with him when they traveled between cities, as long as they weren’t on an expedition
You grew close with the housekeepers in the barracks, then being your only companions while your father and the other soldiers were away
You had also grown to look up to the soldiers, a lot of them growing protective of you as well
Growing up around soldiers taught you to harden your exterior, to not let anything get under your skin, even if you were a bit sensitive. They taught you what soldiers were made of
When wall Maria fell, you were 10
You stayed with the maids in the barracks for a week, not seeing Levi once while he did what he could during the tragedy.
Not even they could raise your spirits.
As the world fell apart around you, Levi became just the slightest bit distant, and you didn’t fail to notice it
He was trying to protect you from the death and despair he carried with him, he didn’t want you to see how soulless he felt every time he returned from wall Maria
He knew how compassionate you were
So kind, hearing about the casualties would no doubt tear you apart
You certainly had more soul than he did, he thought
When you turned 12, you told him you wanted to join the scouts, like him
You’d known how much you wanted to join the Survey Corps for years, just seeing how hard they all trained and fought to protect children like you–children who did nothing and knew nothing of the horrors beyond the walls
You knew nothing about titans either, you’d never seen one in person. but you wanted to put your heart on the line like the soldiers you grew up with
Erwin, Hange, Levi’s new squad, they had a feeling you wanted to join the scouts but they never expected you to actually tell your dad. To his face. In the middle of the mess hall, no less.
“I want to join the scouts!” You came out with it, somehow, and instantly the entire mess hall got quiet. What little courage you had gathered instantly vanished.
“No way.”
You and Levi talked about everything, never any secrets between the two of you, but this was something else
In the end, the two of you only had each other, and a decision like this he didn’t want to consider no matter how much he felt it coming
It took forever, a lot of arguing, but eventually he agreed to let you go, as long as you joined his squad after graduating so he could protect you
So you agreed.
2 years after the fall of Wall Maria, you set off to join the scouts in what would be the 104th Cadet Corps

Tumblr media
Levi is not an abrasive or friendly person by nature, so it's very rare to see him getting attached to someone or being kind in general. To most people he is a distant and somewhat intimidating guy and they are right in a way.
But for you he is the opposite of that, he seems like a different person. Ackerman is kind and protective of you, always being by your side encouraging you and being the best friend a person could ask for. But maybe, if you're discerning, you'll realize what he really is.
Levi is always watching you, you will hardly notice, but this man will always know where you are. There is nothing you can try and hide from him, he will always know the truth.
He is a mystery in himself, Levi rarely shows his emotions and is a very cold person. Even for you, his protégé and dear, he won't change, he'll just be more patient and affectionate.
He's a bit too much arrogant, Ackerman considers himself better than anyone, you being the only exception. Levi would never try to be better than you or treat you lightly, he adores you and couldn't treat you like anything less than a princess/prince.
Levi is extremely overprotective of you, he would never let you get hurt or anyone or anything snap a finger at you. He's your best friend, and he knows you trust him and he would never make you doubt his ability to protect you. Anyone who hurts you will not be ignored, Ackerman will make them deeply regret that they even thought of hurting you.
Ackerman has become possessive of you, he doesn't like the idea of sharing you with others. They don't deserve your attention, but he does. Levi will get angry and may become violent if you ignore him for someone else. He will never accept being in the background in your life.
Levi doesn't have an ounce of compassion and mercy for anyone who crosses him and he won't have with those who cross you. All those who dare to disturb you will meet a painful and terrible end. He'll go and tell you in detail what happened to them if you ask, never recognizing the horror on your face.
Levi won't tolerate you leaving him, he knows he's become very important to you and he'll make sure you become so dependent on him that you can't even tie your own shoelace without his help. He wants you to depend on him forever, so that way you'll never stop needing his help, which in turn makes him indispensable to you.
He is a master with words, Levi knows how to manipulate you perfectly. You'll never know you're being manipulated unless he wants to, Ackerman has you completely under his control and he absolutely loves it. He loves the feeling that you'll do whatever he asks and that he's not the only one to be controlled.
Levi doesn't respect almost anyone and that's a fact, but he respects you and loves you, in his own way but he does. He would never do anything to hurt you, if he did he would blame himself forever. He wants you to be happy and he will make sure you are happy and anyone who tries to get in the way will be damned to hell for him. He will make sure of it.

Happens during chapter 1 of Cherry
A/N- I forgot how much I love writing for AOT 🥹
Warning- perverted men.
Episode- No regrets part 1
————
“We’re going to be back okay? We just have some business we need to deal with,” Levi shares with you as he grabs your shoulder. “We’ll be back soon.”
You sigh, and offer him and the other two a sad smile. “Okay,” you whisper.
Levi stands to his feet and takes one last look at you to add one last thing. “Behave.” He turns and walks away to talk to the lady that was taking care of you, letting Furlan and Isabel walk to you too.
“Behave,” Furlan tells you. “We won’t be gone long.”
“Promise?” You murmur.
He smiles and nods. “Yeah, cross my heart.” He ruffles the top of your head and walks after Levi.
“Here—”
“Don’t give the girl a pocket knife,” Levi warns Isabel from the front door.
Isabel presses her lips together and groans in protest, but she listens regardlessly. “See you, little sis.”
After Isabel joins the others by the front door, she looks back to wave before she walks out. When the door closes you run over to the front window close to the front door and watch them leave.
Actually you stay there to wait for them to return.
You wait and wait for them to return, you watch people pass by in hopes that your family will return for you quickly. You don’t plan to leave, you never did part away, even if you had snacks or a meal, you liked to have it nearby just so you’d be aware when they returned.
When they did return they always made sure to look at the window, and usually Isabel and Furlan smiled at the sight of you, and Levi, well he always looked nonchalant, you liked to think he was happy to see you. You always were.
One thing they did have to say about it was to be wary and when to know to step away from the window. And usually that meant when the people with the green cloaks, or people with weapons approached the house.
Like now. Instead of seeing Levi and others approach the house you were staying at, this tall dark haired man began to approach the front door, causing you to step away from the window and hide in the sitters room when a knock rapped the door.
As curious as you were to listen to what they wanted, you heeded Levi’s warning and kept hidden and only caught the loud muffled voice that traveled through the house. The sitter’s voice was quiet so you can’t hear her, it’s all him before nothing but approaching footsteps.
At first you think it’s Rose, the sitter, but when the person turned into the room, it was in fact the same cloaked soldier, and Rose was behind him with a spooked expression painted on her face
“Let’s go,” he demanded loudly.
You swallow thickly and look over at Rose and step back as you shake your head in defiance.
The man scoffs and begins to approach you, but you continue to step away until your back hits the wall.
“Don’t be rough with her,” Rose tells him. “She’ll go, just don’t be rough.” She looks at you and takes a few steps towards you. “Y/N it’s okay, go. He’s going to take you to Levi.”
You shake your head. “Levi said no. He said—”
“He said to take you to him,” the soldier cuts you off. “I saw him, he talked to me and told me to come get you.”
He said those words and a part of you wants to believe him, but the other half of you listens to what Levi would continuously tell you about these soldiers, so you stay put and defiant since you have nowhere to run to.
“Tell me, don’t you want to see the sun?” He asks, catching your full attention now. “That’s where we’re going.”
You blink and look at the floor. In your mind you answer yes, but Levi has promised that he was going to take you outside already, him, not this man.
“Fine,” the soldier grows impatient and closes the gap between you to grab you by your wrist and yank you with him.
“No,” you protest. “Let me go!”
“I told you once and you didn’t listen,” he retorts sharply and doesn’t let go. “I’m doing this my way now.”
You look back to ask for help, but Rose stays by her room and doesn't bother looking at you, she just threw her comment at you. “Just go with the man, y/n. It’s okay, he’s taking you with Levi and the others.”
Your eyes linger on her but she keeps averting her eyes. Even as the doors closing her eyes stay away.
“No, please,” you plead and struggle against his hold. “Let me go! Let me go!” You dig your heels in the ground to make it harder for him to drag you with him. However, that little tactic causes him to yank your body up the moment he stops.
“Stop now!” He bellows. “Or I will leave you here!”
Your breath catches in your throat from surprise, but instead of letting him have his way, you instead dig your teeth into his hand, causing the man to yelp and drop you.
The moment your body hits the ground, you quickly get up on your feet and run away from the man cradling his hand, so you can try and run home. You knew the streets well enough to get home—at least that’s what you think.
When you begin running away, passing multiple alleyways and streets all seem the same, it makes you want to stop, but you keep hearing Levi and Furlan’s voice inside your head warning you about danger so you keep running.
You keep running even if your legs begin to grow tired quickly, even if your heart races with how scared you feel. You keep running even if with the rush all the streets look unfamiliar.
You keep running until you turn the last street that actually leads to your house because out of a sudden, your body crashes into another.
“Well, well little girl,” a deep husky voice greets.
You slowly look up and see some big man standing over you.
“Far from home?”
You crawl back to stand on your feet.
Shit.
“Don’t talk to strangers.”
You shake your head in response to the man and want to turn to take a different street, but as you do, you step back into someone else.
“I can take you home,” the other man says.
Your chest heaves and your eyes snap to an opening you can take.
You want to take it, you’re going to try and escape, after all home is down the street.
You actually try and manage to slip past the man in front of you. However, right as you’re running down the street, the men begin to chase you.
You try to run faster, you’re closer to home, you can see it, but right before you can reach the steps you crash into the soldier from before.
“Sorry,” he says to the men as he pulls you behind him. “She’s in her rebellious phase.”
“A soldier with a kid down here isn’t believable, let her go.” One of the men sneered. Yet the soldier snapped back in your defense.
“And you’re perverts with no life, scram before I make it so that you never walk again.”
The men huff and linger where they are for a few seconds before they walk past the soldier. Once they’re long gone the soldier pulls you away from him and begins to drag you with him again as he grumbles to you. “You’re more trouble than you’re worth, you know that? But you got spirit.”
——
*LATER. LEVI*
“…what about your daughter? Cherry?” Erwin continues to add after Levi had stayed too quiet.
Levi’s breath hitches and the two people kneeled beside him gasp and tense at the sound of your name.
“Don’t you want a good life for her?” Erwin continues and only makes Levi’s glare pierce into him more.
“Get her name out of your damned dirty mouth,” Levi growls.
“She could go to school, have friends. She can live with you and your friends in the barracks.” Erwin continues to try and pursue him. “If she gets sick, she could get medicine, she can live longer than she’ll ever live here…”
“Shut up,” Levi sneers.
Erwin lifts his head and shifts his eyes to the other soldiers behind him to give them a discrete signal that tells the soldier that took you to come out of hiding with you in hand.
“I usually don’t like to get children involved,” Erwin tells Levi. “But I knew it’d be difficult.” He sighs and when he finishes talking Levi’s eyes are stolen by you as you get brought out.
“What—”
“Cherry!” Furlan calls
“Hey! Get your dirty hands off her!” Isabel yells.
As you get brought out and approach the group, you catch your family, you catch Levi kneeled down on the dirt, dirty and cuffed next to Furlan and Isabel. It makes you go stiff and grow more terrified than when you were running away.
“Levi?” You call in a quivering voice.
You want to pull away to reach him, but the soldier who has you pulls you back and pisses off the three kneeled figures off more.
“Let her go!” Isabel bellows. “Let her go!”
“I thought you might want to say your goodbyes,” you hear the tall blonde tell Levi. “If you get arrested she’ll stay here and get taken to some dirty orphanage. She’ll never see you again.”
Your breath catches and you can’t stop looking at Levi.
“Unless,” the man continues and then turns to face you. “Come here. It’s okay, I won’t hurt you.” Regardless of the soldier letting you go, you stay put, making the man approach you, and crouch down beside you to offer you a sweet smile.
“Get away from her,” you hear Levi command harshly.
“I’m sorry for what you have to see here.”
You swallow thickly and stay quiet as you slowly avert your gaze.
“Here,” he says and then a yellow flower appears in front of your eyes. “It’s for you. From above ground.”
You slowly lift your eyes to the pretty flower, and then glance at the man briefly before you look back at the flower and let an awe-struck smile appear on your features.
“Above ground there’s a lot more flowers that are all different colors, would you want to see them?” He asks as you take the flower from his fingers.
You meet his eyes and nod.
He grins and stands up to turn back to face Levi.
“What do you think about my deal now?”

✿ೋ──────────────────────
Fire Lord Zuko
Ever since you were an infant, you had always clung to him and taken after him, claiming that you wanted to be just like him when you grew up. It was an attitude that Zuko found endearing and it made him beam with pride. After all of his past mistakes, a part of him was against your aspirations, but he wouldn't let his own insecurities get in the way of your dreams.
At a surprisingly young age- barely over your toddler years- you had requested to train. And train you did. Constantly you were trying your hardest to learn new maneuvers, techniques and skills. When you mastered something, you always sought his approval and praise. Zuko was impressed by how well you accepted constructive criticism and fought to grow.
During meetings or speeches, you would always sit back quietly and observe him. Then later Zuko would have to clear out rooms so that you could pretend like you were the fire lord giving hundreds of people a big, inspirational speech. Just like him.
Zuko, to say the least, was extremely proud of how you were growing and exceeding in life. He was just as attached to you as you were to him, and he would do anything to help you grow up to be healthier, happier and safer than he ever got to be during his childhood.
Today you had been training outside. Your father had been teaching you how to spit fire by using the strength of your stomach. Despite how strict and serious he could be, Zuko loved how you displayed your own ways of having fun. You say you want to be just like him, but you were also just so unmistakably 'you' and he loved that.
But today you did something that he didn't quite like.
"Daddy," You turned towards your father on the bench you were sitting on, "Will you... Will you burn my eye? The left one."
And the way your question made Zuko feel on the inside was far more painful than any lightning strike could ever be. He dropped his goblet and froze, unable to believe that you could ask such a thing. You wanted him to 'burn' you? Burn you in such a way similar to how he had been burned?
"Dad?" You asked in light concern.
Zuko shot up, his hair swishing as he went to stand in front of you, "You- don't you dare ask for something like that ever again. Do you hear me?"
Flinching, you gape and stutter in fear at his sudden outburst of anger, "I..." You didn't know what to say, "I-I'm sorry, I... I just wanted to be like you-"
"By wanting me to burn you? That's how you justify yourself right now? Nonsense. I will not tolerate this irrational behavior. If you ever ask me or anyone else to burn you again, then I swear on my life you will regret it, do you understand me?"
You couldn't believe he was so angry. You stiffened up, tears pouring out your eyes.
Zuko nearly shouted, his arms shaking, "I said 'do you understand me'?"
"Yes," You cried, burying your face in your hands, "I'm sorry, ok. I'm sorry. Please don't be mad, daddy, please-uhh... I'm sorry."
Breathing fast, Zuko stared at you and felt a sudden cloud of guilt envelope him, and he frowned in regret. He didn't mean to be so harsh, nor did he want you to cry. He just... He just couldn't stand the thought of you suffering in any of the ways he himself had to.
Calming down, Zuko took in a deep breath and went to kneel in front of you. He reached out, grabbed your hands and gently coaxed them away from your face, "I'm sorry."
Using a spare handkerchief, Zuko gently cleaned your teary eyes and running nose, "I didn't mean to get so angry with you. I was just... You have to understand, (y/n), not all parts of me are honorable, and that includes this mark. My father gave me this mark because he despised me, and... Well... I don't despise you, so even if I did burn you it wouldn't be the same. It would never be the same."
Zuko cupped your face and stroked his thumb over your left cheek, "Please know that I am grateful that we are not the same in this way, and I hope that we never will be."
"I'm sorry..." You croak, still ashamed of yourself, "I didn't know."
"It's okay," Zuko lifted his arms out, "It's okay. I'm not angry."
Standing up, you go to bury yourself into the divine safety of your father's arms, sadness still beating within your heart, "I love you, daddy."
Zuko smiled and hugged you close, "I love you too, (y/n), and I can't wait to see what an excellent fire lord you're going to become one day. Even greater than me."
You whimpered, still upset but lifted by his faith and understanding. You had made a mistake today, but it was okay. You would never do it again. And while you would like to be just like your father in every way that counts, there were some things that could never be the same no matter how similar the situation.
✿ೋ─────────
Levi Ackerman
He woke up to the obnoxious sensation of someone's hand shaking his shoulder, and he groaned grumpily in irritation. "Wake up, daddy," Your ridiculously energetic voice called, "Daddy, come on, it's time to get up."
Levi creaked open his eyes and glared at you, "Hey, wanna know how you can be just like me?"
"How?" You instantly beamed.
"By being tired and going back to sleep," Levi grumbled, grabbing the blankets and yanking them up over his head.
You weren't having any of it though, and you crawled on top of him and began wrestling to get the blanket off. Technically this was how Levi used to have to get you out of bed when you were smaller, but the more you grew the more you wanted to be 'just like him'.
Yay...
By the time you both had playfully wrestled each other out of bed, Levi yawned multiple times while being drug to the bathroom. Darn thing, you were getting good at locating his ticklish spots... In the bathroom, you both brushed your teeth, washed your faces and combed your messy hair.
Although half asleep, Levi still adored how you continously glanced at him to see how he was dressed, what he was doing and how he was doing it. You were always mimicking silly little things he did, exclaiming that you were practicing to be just like him.
Deep down, Levi had nothing but adoration for you. He loved the way you stood to be like him. It made him feel a sense of pride inside that he had such a strong, brave, loyal pipsqueak for a child, and you had no idea how much he loved you.
The only thing Levi disliked about you aspiring to him was how you ranted about joining the Survey Corps and going over the wall to fight titans. Now that... That made his overprotective, paternal instincts scream in disagreement. In no way did he want you going anywhere near the wall. So many people died out there all the time. If he lost you?
Levi wouldn't be able to handle it.
Before breakfast, you got dressed in nearly the exact same outfit as him (courtesy of Hange). "Daddy, can I wear your cape-thingy?" You asked, already wrapped up in his cape.
"Well what do you expect me to wear?" Levi asked, soaking in the endearing display of you all twisted up in his cape.
"I don't know..." You mumble innocently, smiling, "A blanky?"
"Ha... ha... Very funny, squirt," Levi bent down to untangle you from his cape, bopping you on the nose and pinching your cheek, "Why don't I wear this and 'you' go wear the blanket."
"Mmm..." You pouted at him, "But daddy..."
Levi hid a smile and patted your head fondly, "What if I told you that I used to do the same thing when I was your age?"
"Really?" You asked in surprise. If he wore blankets when he was your age, then that meant that you could do the same thing- follow in his footsteps, "Yay!"
"I never said 'yay' though," Levi rolled his eyes, teasing you.
Your arms dropped as you sneered at him, reacting in a manner he would approve of, "Booo..."
"That's more like it," Levi chuckled and went to make some food.
After breakfast, you held your father's hand while walking to the training grounds, a small blanket secured around your neck to thus act like a cape. When you saw the leader of the Survey Corps, you instantly brightened and cheered, "Erwin!"
Erwin looked in your direction and smiled warmly, "Ah, there's my finest cadet."
Levi watched as you sprinted happily up to his leader, his heart skipping beats when Erwin picked you up and lifted you into the air a bit. Your smile and the sound of your laughter was the inspirational fuel that powered his life.
Blindly joining you and his leader, Levi shrugged and gave you a disapproving look, "Just so you know... I've never hugged that imbecile- not once."
Erwin raised a brow, "On the contrary, I remember once when-"
Levi gave him a death glare, "Dont. Even."
You giggled and said joyfully, "Daddys silly. He loves hugs."
"Yes, that is correct," Erwin chuckled and turned briefly to grab something out of the satchel on his horse. "Come, fellow cadet, I brought you something."
"What is it?" You asked.
Levi felt his chest nearly implode at the sight of a miniature cape. The cape itself was plain with no logo, but yet was perfect enough in size that it would fit you for years to come. He watched as Erwin helped replace the blanket you were wearing with it.
Once he was done, you hugged Erwin, thanked him a dozen times, and then ran over to your father, "Daddy, daddy look! I have a cape, an-and it's just like the one you have. Do you like it, daddy? Do I look like you?"
'The spitting image.' Levi smirked and knelt down, "What're you talking about, squirt? You've got way too much energy to be like me."
"Booo," You pouted at him.
Levi laughed and pulled you into a big hug, "It looks good on you, kid. Now, let's get training."
You would be like him one day. Only Levi believed that you would be better.
✿ೋ─────────
Kakashi Hatake
It was night time; five hours after the Chunin Exams were declared over. You were currently hiding in your little tree-bungalow, isolated, quiet and shut-off from the rest of the world. Ever since you lost the exam, you hadn't moved from your hidey-hole nor spoken to anyone.
It broke Kakashi's heart to see you this upset. He knew how hard you had been training to keep up with him, following him in his footsteps and mimicking specific personality traits like his attire and the way he fought. At first it was a habit Kakashi thought was pretty adorable, but as the seriousness of your obsession grew over the years, the more he began to grow concerned.
Kakashi didn't mind you taking after him, but there was a limit. You didn't understand it because you envied him too much, but he saw it. You weren't like him- at least not when it came down to your fighting spirit. See, Kakashi developed a cold heart at a young age. Anger, hatred and determination pushed him to become stronger.
But you weren't cursed with anger, hate and sadness. You weren't a natural born fighter. If anything, Kakashi could see you becoming a strong-willed medic or a superior ginjutsu artist, but definitely not anyone who wants to hurt another person physically. It just wasn't how you were. And Kakashi was grateful for that.
Sighing softly, Kakashi jumped up to the ledge of your tree-bungalow, crouching as he waved, "Hey, dongo."
You didn't say anything from where you laid on the wooden floor. Kakashi frowned at the sight of your multiple bruises and bloody bandages. He really shouldn't have let you take that exam. "Can I come in?"
You nodded.
Kakashi moved a ways in further, finding himself a spot against the wall and leaning against it, "How are you feeling?"
For a few seconds you didn't answer. Kakashi tilted his head in concern when he noticed that you were shaking, the sound of sniffles soon filling the air, "I... I... I'm a failure, daddy."
You looked at him, your mask a mess as you sobbed behind it, "I'm a failure-uh! I-I-I just wanted-uh- t-to be like you..."
"Whoa, hey, it's okay," Kakashi leaned forward, placed a hand on your shoulder and squeezed softly, "It's okay, (y/n). You're not a failure."
"Yes I am," You whined, "You passed the Chunin Exams when 'you' were six, b-but I? I... How am I supposed to be like you now, daddy?"
This? This is what broke Kakashi's heart. You getting upset all because you failed to amount to a broken monster like him. "Oh, dongo, come here," Kakashi lifted his arms out.
You still cried as you crawled into your father's lap and leaned against the warmth and safety of his chest. He slipped a finger up and tugged your mask down to your chin thus making it easier to breathe. You whimpered, clinging to him as shame blurred your heart.
"I wanna talk to you about something," Kakashi held you securely while going to wipe your nose with his sleeve, "I understand why you're trying so hard to follow in my footsteps, but I believe that your ambitions are misguided."
"What... What do you mean?" You ask him sadly, confused, "I wanna be like you."
"I know, but perhaps you are trying a little too hard? I mean, you've even gotten to the point you won't eat the food 'you' love anymore all because it's not my preference."
"But... That's how I be like you, daddy," You exclaim.
Kakashi sighed, looking you in your big, teary eyes. He couldn't believe that it had come down to this, but he couldn't hold it in any longer, "(y/n)... I don't want you to be like me. I want you to be like you."
You jerked at that, gaping hurtfully, "What?"
"I know it sounds harsh, but I want you to know that what I'm saying to you right now is in no way meant to hurt you. I just want you to stop pushing yourself so hard to be something you're not. Yes, we are alike in many ways, but we're also different. And those differences are what make us unique- they define who we are and how we grow. And if you continue to grow ignoring all those important things about yourself, pretending to be something you're not, then I fear that you'll never be completely happy. "
You blinked at him, fiddling slowly with your hands and bowing your head, "I..."
Kakashi cupped your face, lifted your chin and wiped away your tears, "You failed the exams today because you weren't ready, (y/n). You're using fighting techniques that don't suit you because they're 'mine'. You haven't even tried to discover your own fighting skills yet. Haven't you ever been curious?"
"But..." More tears began leaking out of your eyes as you looked at him, "I-I love you so much and I... I wanna be just like you-huh."
"(y/n)," Kakashi said lovingly as he pressed your foreheads together, "You can still be just like me by doing the things that make 'you' happy. I'm a great ninja, and you can be one too if you simply try to be more like you instead of me. No matter what, just know that I'll always, always be proud of you and love you till the day my chakra runs out."
You sniffed at him, still upset by your failure but relieved that your father still loved you despite it all. Yes, you wanted to be just like him, but maybe being yourself sometimes too wasn't such a bad thing either.

Satoru Gojo
When people looked at you, they felt as if they were looking at a miniature Gojo but with a different hair color. You were quite literally the spitting image of your father, and anyone who knew you or Gojo personally would know that you two were practical besties.
Ever since you were born, you magically seemed to take after Gojo- not that it was your fault because Gojo had a really bad habit of dressing you up like him and pretending that you were the world's greatest sorcerer... Besides him, of course. He couldn't help it. You were his little pal and he loved you more than anything.
As you grew, you pretty much wore identical outfits to that of your father. You had even acquired a pair of reflective sunglasses that you wore almost ninety-percent of the time. But outfits weren't the only areas where you excelled in being like him.
Gojo, even as a parent, wasn't afraid to push people to their limits, especially when they genuinely wanted to become stronger. Ever since your powers developed, he had trained you constantly in order to help you learn and grow. You were exceptional like him, and he knew that there was no time to waste.
Your father pretty much took you everywhere and that even included trips on his most dangerous missions. He would carry you on his hip or back while you watched and listened to him explain how to observe and take down enemies. Later he would quiz you, tossing toys or pieces of candy at you in reward.
Some say that Gojo wasn't so much a father to you as he was a best friend. Especially on days when he didn't have to work or train. He happily expressed his childish side, playing games with you, playing dress-up, going to carnivals, riding on miniature scooters, cooking or coloring pictures. He did it all. It was almost as if he loved being like you as much as you loved being like him.
Every time you expressed your admiration and love for him, Gojo's ego was stroked and his confidence boosted. Of course you wanted to be like him. Why wouldn't you? Narcissistic nature aside, Gojo had to admit that there was a sense of self-worth that he felt deep inside at the fact that you loved him and took after him so strongly. It made him happy. He was always proud of you.
And today he was even more proud of you.
You had just successfully made your very first domain expansion- it was rough, unstable and destructive, and it only lasted a few tiny seconds, but it was still a success. A success... That nearly destroyed the house.
Fushiguro, his cereal now all over the floor in ruins, sat in his chair with a frustrated glare on his face, "What kind of monster have you created?"
Gojo was practically dancing like a feather in the wind, singing excitedly, "One that can make domains at (age) years old."
"Oh brother..." Fushiguro rolled his eyes, gesturing to your unconscious body, "Shouldn't you be helping them?"
"Eh?" Gojo blinked ignorantly, concern flooding his body at the sight of you laying unresponsive on the floor, "Aw, we can't be having any of that now, can we?"
Teleporting over to your body, Gojo scooped you up and took you to the medical bay. It was soon confirmed that the force of your actions had merely knocked you out and given you a bloody nose. With a good lecturing from Nanami about "being a better parent", Gojo carried you back home with an endless grin on his face.
"Daddy?" You groaned in his arms.
Gojo gave you no time to talk as he leaned down and nuzzled your cheek, singing again, "Oh my incredible, amazing, talented, devilishly striking, little sorcerer, I'm so proud of you. You did your first domain expansion. Ohhh, I could cry I'm so happy."
Albeit exhausted, you still grinned in his arms and nuzzled his cheek back. It was always a good feeling to witness your father this excited after one of your successes went through. Still though, that move had taken a lot out of you. "Sleepy."
"I bet," Gojo chuckled, maneuvering you to his hip so that he could properly make his way through the mild debris of the house, "You've rightfully earned yourself a nice bath, a delicious meal, and a warm bed."
"With the heated blanky?" You softly croak.
Gojo stuck his thumb up, "Especially with the heated blanky. You've earned it."
"Thank you, daddy," You whimpered, hugging him and pressing the side of your face against his chest. His heartbeat was fast but comforting, his figure safe, warm and protective. You were so happy that you had managed to pull off such an advanced technique.
Prepping you a bath, Gojo let you wash while he was forced to clean up your mess by the ever fussy Fushiguro- aka: the real adult of the house. After you were both done, he fed you something that would soothe your tummy, and then carried you to bed.
Wrapping you up in your heated blanket, Gojo knelt down and caressed your head, "Good job today, my little jujutsu sorcerer. You really made daddy proud."
You whimpered happily and mumbled, "I hope I can do better. I wanna be just like you one of these days."
Gojo smiled, all the love he felt for you fueling his desire to keep moving forward in this cruel world, "You already are, (y/n)... You already are."

𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐥. 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 (𝟏)
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲.
Levi stood over the body of his dead friend, silently wishing he had the ability to do what his heart desired and revive him. The needle shook in his hand, he looked around at the crying figures of those young cadets. He looked around for her, his girl, for a rare reprieve in this living nightmare.
“Where-” He whispered, cutting himself off when he looked up at the wall.
Reiner and that Beast titan stood up there, silently gloating at their rare victory over the Scouts. Both haggard and clearly not in the best shape to fight but well enough to observe the implosion of the Scout regiment. He saw her up there, Lina.
“Levi, you have to choose,” Hange commanded, barely holding back Mikasa.
There was a static in his ears, nothing was able to process in his brain. Levi’s body went into autopilot as his spirit drifted away. Why was she up there? Why was she standing among those monsters?
“Sir…How do you know for sure there’s nobody on the other side of the walls?” Erwin muttered.
Levi looked down horrified at the man in front of him, he had no more capacity in him to care. He felt his mind reaching its limit, Levi pushed the reality away from him and marched towards Armin.
I’ve been betrayed. I have to kill my friend, my brother in this world.
Levi supposed he was happy before, finally at peace. He had people with him, he had a support system. He was sane before he lost it all.
All good things come to an end, especially for me.
Happiness never suited Levi fully anyways, he would deal. He would survive the many military tribunals questioning him on his relationship with Lina. Constant accusation of him being a traitor as if he had not given everything to this country. He had nothing left within him to give, they took it all.
“Captain Ackerman, are you admanent that you had nothing to do with the defect of Cadet Lina Zimmerman?”
“I am certain. She deceived me like everyone else.” His voice felt hollow.
“Forgive me for being so doubtful of your answer, Captain, you are one of the strongest in the whole military. How did this slip past you?”
Levi kept silent at first, it was a direct shot at his ego but he had nothing left within him to genuinely be offended. How foolish could he have been to think she was never going to betray him? That he could finally be content with his life
“I don’t know, Commander.” He stared down Darius, almost wishing him to discharge Levi.
Every question further after that felt like his chest was being cracked further and further open. His organs being plucked one by one till he was a husk of what he was. He sat there and stood for his alleged crime of being blinded by love.
Erwin was gone, Lina betrayed him, and Hange was depressed like him.
Tears came slowly as they often did in these times for Levi. It was a dam at first then the flood came, he did not know how to stop it. Betrayal had never felt so bitter on his tongue.
Levi lies awake in the bed he shared with her, refusing to even think of the name should she ever be summoned. It was bigger than the other beds in the rest of the regiment but it was meant to accommodate two people not just one. The other side remained cold for the rest of the night.
He reached a hand out and caressed the blanket which Lina clutched so often, afraid Levi would pull it from her. His expression dimmed again when he caught himself reminiscing.
She’s a traitor, stop romanticizing it all.
But then he had to forget those nights…
“Would you ever become a titan-shifter if you had the chance?” She asked out of the blue. Her head on her pillow staring directly across at Levi who was also facing towards her.
“Never, it’ll only disadvantage me. Besides, being mortal lets me value what they don’t.” He pushed some of her hair behind her ear.
“Like what?”
“For starters, you.” Levi paused in his brushing and cradled her cheek. “With all the years I’d be living as a shifter I wouldn’t be able to value the life I have with you.”
The popular theory of the time was that Eren Yeager would have an elongated lifespan due to his regenerative ability being able to fight off aging. That titan-shifters would live for generations while mere mortals died as per the norm. A prevalent but not proven theory of course.
Levi watched Lina’s face intently, confused by the sour look she had, what did he say that was so wrong?
“Did I say something wrong?”
“No, sorry. Just a lot on my mind.”
How stupid she must have thought of him, to even consider that titan-shifters lived longer than thirteen years? Levi imagined that she was laughing at him internally in those moments, looking down on him even further as another island devil.
Those thoughts were pushed to the side, he had to focus on the mission. He silently rode to the coast, the sand getting in his boots without him realizing.
The sea, in his opinion, was beautiful and the best part however. Filled with life and ecosystems in their own little worlds, oblivious to the conflict happening on the surface. Occasionally being affected by the long boat or apex predator swimming alone. He reached his hand down to the water, and a fish grazed his skin.
Such a funny feeling. Feeling so free but encased in such a lonely environment.
He blinked, who was he thinking about? Himself or the fish?
“You alright there, Levi?” Hange asked, truly joyous for the first time since Erwin died.
“They would have all loved this,” Levi whispered. His eyes raked over the young cadets who played in the salty sea. He imagined all his dead comrades who would have loved to experience this, they were robbed of it.
“Nanaba probably would have splashed Miche a million times over,” Hange laughed, their mood somewhat downturned by the thought of her previous friends.
“Erwin would have stood by the shore the whole time, too afraid to dip his toes in.”
“Nah, I would have dragged him in here.” Hange looked back to the shore almost expecting him to be there, it was deserted except for the horses. “We do this for them, you know that right?”
“Yeah, doesn’t make it hurt less though.”
Hange chose not to respond and instead descended further into the water, it reached their ankles now. Levi remained planted near the shore but still in the sea, small waves splashed up against his upper legs. It was cold but no colder than how his body felt.
I wanted that.
Sasha splashed Jean who did the same to her, both of them screaming in pain at the salt getting in their eyes.
I deserved that,
Armin laughed at Mikasa who stumbled in the water, struggling to keep her balance.
Why can’t I have that?
He gasped when Hange splashed his upper half, he glared at her.
“Four-eyes!”
Levi began playing the water, feeling more carefree than he ever had since- since-
“What is Lina doing up there?” Hange yelled, anger lining their voice.
“Hange.” Levi reached out to their shoulder. They turned to find Levi vulnerable for once, a fragile look in his eyes gave it all away.
“Sh- she betrayed us,” Hange whispered, astonished that they had been cheated for this long.
“She betrayed me.” Levi’s eyes were wide, he was not furious. Only embarrassed at himself. He gave his soul away, how could he be so stupid? “We need to regroup and find the horses remaining.”
“Levi-” Hange began before they were interrupted.
“Don’t. If I stop I have to think about it and if I think about it this military will lose its most prized tool. So let’s focus on keeping whoever is alive, alive.”
He stopped. He finally stopped. How glorious it felt.

Tumblr media
Levi basically lives by the number one rule set for you: fuck around and find out. There are plenty of other rules, a plethora actually, but that’s the main one resulting in harsh consequences. You just think you’re so grown up however. Always telling your big brother about how you’re too old for all of these rules, how you need to go out and experience things for yourself.
He just gives you a stern glare and dares you to defy him. Sometimes, it even feels like a challenge. However, you’re not stupid enough to really think that he’s actually goading you into sneaking out behind his back. He’s just that strict because he truly believes it’s what’s best for you.
But…you think you know what’s best for you as well, and being stuck inside all the time under Levi’s protection isn’t it! Tonight, you’re going to see what the walls are really like.
At least you thought everything would go to plan until you find Levi dragging you back inside by the scruff of your collar. For short legs, his strides are quick. You struggle a little to keep up with him.
“You brat. What is wrong with you? When will you get it through that head of yours that I’m in charge of you? I’m your guardian, and you will do as I say!”
He shoves you into your room, towards the bed. Then, he’s wrestling you to get your pants down. You know a few moves, but Levi knows more than you. Hell, he’s the one who taught you those combat moves. Levi anticipates every one of your defenses, and he has no problems with baring your bottom and yanking you over his knee.
You cry out, curling over his thigh as he lands the first searing swat of your punishment.
“No! I’m too old for this!” you declare with a demand pinching your voice.
“Too old, hm? You’re just a kid. This is my fault in a way. I should be more firm with you. I’ve been letting you run your mouth too freely lately, but that ends now. You can’t do whatever the hell you want. I make the rules, and I’ll be damned if you think you can undermine my authority.”
You writhe on his lap like a fish out of water, kicking your feet to the point where Levi pins them down with a strong leg thrown over yours. He continues spanking your ass, making you wince and whine, making you wish you had just stayed tucked in your bed.
“I can promise you this: if you ever sneak out again, I will spank you every night before bed for two weeks. Is that what you want, brat?”
Your nails press half moons into the palms of your hands, threatening to spill blood. “No, sir…” you grumble with attitude laced in your tone.
“Excuse me?” He targets the sensitive under curve of your backside.
You shake your head, fighting for your life to keep your composure. “No, sir! I don’t want that!”
You breathe through the tears welling up in your eyes as he continues punishing your vulnerable flesh.
“Brother, it hurts!”
“Good. It should hurt. Maybe, next time, you’ll think before you act. What were you even trying to accomplish with sneaking out?”
He pauses his hand, resting it on your thigh.
“I…just wanted to see what the walls were like. OW! Stop it, Levi!”
You hate it when he flays your upper thighs. It’s probably the worst part of the spanking all together.
“You’re telling me that you put your damn life on the line just to see some shitty fucking walls?”
Well…when he puts it like that…
Reaching a hand back to block his attacks, you feel him grab your wrist and trap it against the small of your back. There’s nothing you can do to get out of this with your wrist and legs pinned. Leaning your forehead against your mattress, you finally let the rivers forming in your eyes run a trail down your cheeks. Sniffling quite somberly into your blanket, all you can do now is wait for him to finish.
“You don’t run things around here. I take care of you, so you need to listen to me. Is that understood?” He emphasizes his question with a hearty smack to your thigh.
“Yes, sir!”
He pulls your underwear back up, letting you have some coverage. Levi helps you up off of his lap, and you quickly adjust your pants back over your hips, wincing as the fabric scrapes over your raw backside. You can’t manage eye contact with your brother right now, but he doesn’t allow this for long.
He grabs you, bringing you into his chest for a loving hug. He kisses the top of your head, telling you that everything’s alright now.
“I’m sorry, brother,” you sniffle into his chest.
“It’s alright, kid. Go to bed now, and actually stay there this time.”

Levi Ackerman + you coming out as ftm
(Platonic)
Levi’s wondering what you had to discuss with him as he watches you nervously pace in front of his desk, patiently waiting for you to say something. Just a few moments ago you seemed so eager and so ready to tell him the (seemingly) big news you had, so what had changed in such a short amount of time?
I’ll be so fr, you were shitting bricks rn. You were feeling so giddy upon finally realizing your identity that you just wanted—you needed to tell someone, and who other than Levi? You (not so secretly) viewed him as an older brother but now that you’ve got him in his office you’re second guessing EVERYTHING
There’s no going back now though. So, you take a deep breath to calm yourself down and turn towards Levi, hoping someone would find a set of stairs to push you down when you find him already calmly looking at you.
“I-I’m uh..I…tr…t….boy…” IS ALL YOU CAN GET OUT LMAOO
Levi is just staring at you with this sorta confused look on his face that he’s trying so hard to hide for your sake cause he can see the sweat forming on your hands and forehead as you start to fan yourself off. He’s trying so hard to put whatever shaped pieces you just gave him together but he’s getting NOTHING
“C-Captain..” You decide to try again, your hands trembling and your voice shaky “I’m…Uhm…” You look up at him finally, your teary eyes meeting his (still) patient ones “I-I’m a boy…”
.
.
.
“Oh ok, thank you for telling me.” To say you were flabbergasted would be an understatement. You were standing there frozen with tears falling from your eyes, making Levi sigh quietly to himself as he looked away, wondering if he’d said the right thing.
“Is there a different name you’d like to be called?” Levi asks after a long moment of you not saying anything. You shakily nod and tell him, a slow smile creeping up on your face at how giddy and warm you feel at the acceptance from Levi. He talks about anything he can think of that’d possibly be important going forward, like where’d you like to sleep now, if you’d slowly start using your correct pronouns and name or not, if you want to tell Erwin or if he should—I dunno
Overall this only made you look up to him more, 10/10 experience
