i know i said i like angst and this is exactly what i meant by angst but OUCH ????

and ik i've (probably) said this about satan but i wish they'd show and tell levi how much they care about him to his face, like it'd at least help his self-deprecating and self-loathing tendencies be pushed to the back of his mind at least for a little bit yk

everyone needs a bit of reassurance, especially when they're so deep in a cycle of self-hatred that their default setting is to think the worst of themselves and believe that everyone around them thinks the same

also i feel like it's pretty obvious that levi and lotan are in the flood equivalent of the "eye of the storm" right? RIGHT???

he's completely submerged, which means he's still at least near the HOL, which means he's still in his room in his tub-bed right ?????

also, jealousy and envy are two different things, though they're very similar. jealousy is the threat of losing someone or something, evny is wanting what someone else has. we've seen levi act on his envy all the time, but the fear of losing mc forever is something he's never had to deal with until now. imagine they left without saying goodbye?? then he'd be envious. if the avatar of envy jealous is this bad, the avatar of envy being being envious is realm ending

also, this is the first time we've seen levi use his powers to this extent in the entirety of both games if i remember correctly. have we seen mammon and lucifer do the same ??? imagine what that would look like...

there's already a power gap between levi and mams, but the power gap between lucifer and the rest of the brothers is immeasurable. like lucifer ripped 2 of his wings off and birthed the 4th most powerful of 7 and is STILL the most powerful of all of them by a long shot. if this is what happens when levi's almost completely acting on and engulfed by his sin, what would it look like if lucifer did the same? or worse?

maybe i'm getting ahead of myself and thinking too hard, but what if levi's little d is lotan? like what if he can shapeshift or smth???

see now i'm really thinking his little d is lotan, bc how else would they teleport from the castle back to levi's room in the HOL and be underwater while being able to talk if lotan/no. 3 hadn't hadn't bought them there ???

ok so i was right about him being in the HOL, but not his room. he's in mc's room from the current timeline

"our love transcends time" or whatever the login screen for the game's opening is, this is a physical and spiritual manifestation of that. they love mc so much that even in different universes, they still feel an indescribable and irreplaceable connection to them. even in his darkest mental state, levi still seeks mc's presence, or at least the remnants of it, for comfort. the same can be said for the others

HE INITIATED THE KISS I'M GONNA CRY

while yes, he did kiss them to save them, the fact that he was able to push away his anxiety to save someone he cares about with no hesitation is proof that he's also deserving of love and affection and care regardless of what he thinks about himself. and the fact that he's still blaming himself for having feelings (even though the intensity of those feelings did end up flooding the devildom) makes me so sad

i just want him to be happy and love himself as much as he loves his brothers and mc and as much as they love him :(

he's getting there though, and i love how the devs take time with exploring how difficult it is to break yourself out of such a detrimental mental state not just for levi, but for everyone

In just a random fucking text convo in Obey Me (idk if it was Nightbringer or not, I have terrible memory), we just casually find out that Levi almost fucking submerged the ENTIRE FUCKING DEVILDOM?!

THAT'S JUST A RANDOM FACT WE LEARN?!

WTF?!

Like, damn.

I know Lucifer's powerful, but if Levi has that much power, what insane abilities does Mammon have?

MPAA: General Audiences (T4T FTM!Levi x FTM!Reader, fluff, sweet)

“No way! I can’t look! I don’t know how you can get through this! Man, normies are soo, so we- Aahhh, don’t show it up close!!”

You stared at the demon that was hiding away in his bathtub, pulling his blanket over his head, using his Ruri plushie “protect” him. What was making him so upset and scared, that he needed his precious Ruri to protect him?

You were injecting yourself with your weekly testosterone shot.

“You’re a demon.”

“And? Demons can be scared of thing- STOP HOLDING IT SO CLOSE TO ME!”

The “it” in question was the needle, full of your dose of testosterone and you occasionally brought it closer to his face when he let his guard slightly down, and then held his plush up as a shield whenever you did.

“Didn’t you have to take these?”

“No? Down here, magic is more widespread, and so I just got these patches. It’s way easier and doesn’t involve invasive things like needles! Those are the work of God, and God himself.”

“You know, where I’m from, that’s a good thing.” You chuckled and gently pricked your leg. You pushed down the plunger, hissing slightly. You slowly removed it and turned to set the needle somewhere. You had forgotten the point where you pricked was technically an open wound, but before you could panic, you felt a cotton ball press gently against the site. When you looked up, you saw Levi was pressing it down and holding a band-aid out to you.

“So that you don’t bleed.”

You smiled gently, and took the band-aid. His hand slipped from your leg, and you patched yourself up.

“Thanks, Levi.”

“Yeah, of co-“

You gently kissed his forehead, and he blushed brightly.

“…I-Idiot….”

“Lol, maybe so. Now come on, let’s lie down. I wanna rest before Lucifer makes us go do something.”

You climbed alongside him into the bathtub, and he wrapped his arms around you, humming quietly.

Levi’s dolls

A little creepy shortfic based in a chat. A little crack-horror fic but it's mostly a hc.

I went to Levi’s room when he called me. He had asked me to help him move the real size figurine that he had ordered from Akuzon by accident without Lucifer noticing. I knocked his door.

“Password”

“It’s me Levi”

“Are you alone?”

“Yeah”

He opened the door and quickly pulled me inside.

“Did someone see you?”

“I don’t think… Woah! that is huge. It’s over 2 meters.”

“I know! I didn’t see the measurements! My Seraphina looks so beautiful in that hunting pose that I just bought it in an instant”

“It is really detailed… and with so little clothes… So, how are we supposed to move this to the entry without being noticed?”

“We won’t. Barbatos will open a portal in my door in… 5 min.”

“Won’t he tell Lucifer?”

“No, I bribed him… but it cost me extra…”

“Is that possible? How much did it cost you? “ He looked really gloomy. It would have cost him a fortune.

“It wasn’t money… I’ll show you later, it’s time.” He opened the door to show a turquoise portal ”Help me with that side, I’ll guide”

This was heavier than I thought.

“So… *pant* Where are we moving it? *pant* Purgatory Hall?”

“No, Lucifer would know. I’m putting it in my castle.”

“In your WHAT?”

I felt the floor disappear under my feet and the sensation of losing a step in a stair made me jump a little. I put the statue on the floor and looked at Levi.

“Did you say castle? Do you have a castle?”

I looked around. This was like staying in a well illuminated cave, a little chill and the floor was polished directly from the same rock that the roof and walls were made of.

“Yeah, each of us have a castle in their ring. They don’t come often to mine because it’s underwater, who would want to come to this humid and stinky place, right?”

Moments like this remind me that my demons are lords and how filthy rich they are. The room was even bigger than the dining room in the house of lamentation, 5 rows of glass shelves filled with all types of collectibles that I could imagine.

“Your collection is incredible Levi… And this place is so beautiful”

“Do you think?” He was flushed and avoiding my gaze “C-Come on, he-help me put it in its place, the portal will close in an hour and I have to go for Barbatos’ bribe”

We moved the figure to the row closer to the wall, close to another one even bigger than this.

“Wait here, ok? You know my rules, you can see whatever you want, but don’t touch anything”

“I know, I know, don’t worry” I was already looking at all the interesting things. He had 5 katanas!

He jogged to the back of the room, and then he turned quickly.

“Ah! almost forgot. Whatever happens, don’t touch the water!” and then left the room, as if he didn’t just tell me something so ominous…

I continued my exploration. Levi really had one of everything, three of some. Posters, mangas, figurines, he even had a center of entertainment with a gigantic tv and all the consoles I knew in existence in Devildom and earth and some I didn’t even know.

This place was awesome, I couldn’t figure where the lights were, and I felt observed in each step. I supposed it was the little fishes that were swimming in a section of the wall that appeared to be an aquarium without glass.

A little sound distracted me from the colorful 4-eyed fishes

“Hello?” I could just hear my echo… This place was really quiet, even the water didn’t make a sound. Just when I was about to return my atencion to the fishes, I heard it again.

To my left, a little more back in the room, was a heavy orange curtain. Maybe the sound came from there.

When I pulled aside the curtain, I found a couple more statues. An old man with a big white beard that looked from an epic fantasy and a magical girl smiling and posing with her wand. Wow, and I thought the Seraphina was detailed. I could almost see each pore in her skin, her eyes so realistic I felt like she was watching me. The sound began again really close, it sounded… as someone with a gag trying to speak. This thing was definitely moving its eyes!!

It was looking between me and… something behind me. I turned back…

“Oh! you found my dolls” pfff it was just Levi in demon form “Do you like them?”

“They are so realistic… Are they enchanted to move?” I could feel a little of magic coming from them.

“No no, the contrary! I have to paralyze them each time I’m out or they cause trouble. I designed her dress myself based on the dress of Yuriko in Magi Magi Police Sun first season. She was the best VA the original series had, her remplacement never got the high notes… Her death was really a tragedy, she got hit by a soup truck. A really ironic death if you consider the mock in chapter 138 season 3… Tho, it was a good luck struck that she decided to kill her best friend for assuring her stellar just a couple of days before the accident… She came directly to my arms as if she were destined to be mine. She is the most valuable anime merchandise I have”

“So… this is the real voice actress?” A chill ran through my body while kept staring at me with her frozen smile.

“Yeah! If you want to play with her, she could even sing you a private concert! She knows all the routines, even the ones that came after her death, I made sure of that!”

I saw the curtain that extended through all the wall as far as I could see, a bunch of other “dolls” all in display behind it.

“Are they humans?”

“No no, the correct term is damned. Almost all of them are from my ring, but I traded some. Like this one! He was the author of “The epic of the red goblins”, a classic from the 30’s. I had to fight with Satan for him, but it was worth it! Oh, I could tell you the story of each one of them!... only if you want of course… you don’t find them creepy, right? Mammon says they are scary… as if a normie could understand the passion of an otaku!”

“What is that!?” I was so focused in the dolls that I hadn’t seen before the bright orange thing moving in his hands. It appeared as little tentacles covered in blossoms, its movements were erratic and… a little hypnotic.

“Ah! its Glory coral snake, Barbatos wants to make them tea… It was painful to cut them up, it takes more than 500 hundred years to grow a centimeter… Right! we have to go, the portal will close soon.”

He closed the curtain with his tail and we went to the door.

“All of them are so jealous of you...but… well… who wouldn't? I mean… you are… you”

My sweet snake demon was all flustered all over again. I brushed her cheek with the back of my hand and saw him in the eyes, smiling.

“Come on, you can tell me all about them later, ok?”

He beamed his smile and his eyes sparkled.

“We can begin the anime tonight! You know? Magi Magi Police Sun was the anime's first deconstruction of magical girls and the legendary inspiration for Hana Ruri…”

Bonus:

That afternoon watching Magi Magi Police Sun.

“And what would have happened if I had touched the water?”

“Oh, that would have woken up Lotan”

“Noooo, I wanted to pet Lotan!!!!”

“I already told you, Lotan isn’t a pet. He doesn't want to be petted!”

You were still pretending to be asleep so you can find out more but then you heard footsteps approaching probably coming to check upon you whoever that was removed a piece of hair from your face the moment they touched you , you grabbed their hand pulled them down and pushed your little knife near their throat that you keep hidden in your locket. It's small but useful . You heard people gasps and looked down it was a very handsome man with Ruby eyes and raven hair. But you weren't the one to be phased by good looks .

"Where am I? You all better start speaking if you want this little friend of yours alive" you demanded without fearing......

Shocked , surprised, stunt!!

Human how!?

And you didn't got up till Diavolo explained everything!! When you got up you didn't even apologize..even after being told he's the Lucifer.

Poor Lucifer prided got hurt

You've been so good at flirting, giving him presents, droping all the little obvious hints that you are in love with him, inviting him over your room and snuggling to him, kissing his cheek or hugging him, even dropping little compliments like —Levi, you are so cool— or —You're so handsome Levi, why would you say you aren't?—; but his replies are always so sad: —Eh? Did I hear that right? N-no! This is a dream: who would like a yucky otaku like me!— or —I must be hallucinating, someone pretty like you could never think that of an otaku like me. Wait! I- I didn't mean to say you're pretty! Ah! But it's not like I don't think you're pretty, you are! In fact, you're gorgeous. No! But I don't think so! Well, I do, but I don't- UGH!!—. As usual, he always runs away and hides. You end up confused and unhappy. What else do you need to do to come across clearly?

As you watch his every skilled hand movements on the controller, you realize how frustrated you feel. A new emotion emerges from within you, as you understand how incredibly sad this is for both of you; and at the same time, this frustration leads to anger: how many times do you have to drop the hints, say those true compliments, insinuate him your intentions? No more!

A spark goes free and sets you on fire from within: and you respond to this flame with a wonderful idea: —It's on, now—, you think: —This is war, Levi—. If he can't understand it with kindness, he will understand it with a much more aggressive approach. This is a war now, a war that you're sure you'll win, one in which your enemy is Levi's poor self-esteem and loathing. The tactic? You will bombard him with words of love, affection, and compliments until he can no more. The war-zone: his own territory; he won't be able to run away today, after all, he's cornered in his own bedroom and you're blocking the door, there's no chance that he can get away from you this time. And, of course, by the end of this epic battle, you'll be the winner, and he will finally understand your feelings!

—Hey, Levi...— you start.

—Yeah?—, he answers, not a single second wasted looking at other things than the screen in front of him.

—I think you look so cool when playing videogames—, you say with a devilish smile.

Leviathan freezes, —Eh?—, he pauses the game and looks at you perplexed. —Wh-What did you just say? I must have heard you wrong—, he chuckles nervously.

—You didn't. I do think you look cool playing videogames—, your facial expression is serious but not hard. You mean it.

Levi, on the other hand, starts to feel dizzy, his cheeks get rosy, eyes widen, and his heart pounds a million km per hour. —Y-You do?—, trying to find some ease, he returns to his self depreciation: —Well, y-yeah. After all, that's all an otaku like me can do: be good at videogames—.

—Oh, but it's not only videogames, it's also how cool you are in general, you know?—.

—W-WHAT?!—

—Oh yeah. Like when you summon Lotan or control water with your magic. Or like when you do repairs in my computer. Oh! Or when you craft your own cosplay outfits! All you do is super cool to me...—.

Leviathan starts to retreat slowly from the pillow he was sitting on to the corner of his room, loosing his sanity, face red as a tomatoe; but you follow him every step of the way, moving from your pillow crawling after him. Slowly remarking his good characteristics.

—You are the Devildom's Grand Admiral! That's so cool!—.

—I-It's just a tittle, it means nothing—.

—Not anyone gets a title like that. And you can also control water; that's such a big power you have—.

—I-It isn't that d-d-difficult!—

—No—, you shake your head —I bet it is—. You continue: —Besides that, you're one of the most powerful demons? That's so cool, Levi—.

—N-No. I'm not that strong, though—.

—I bet there's a reason for that, and it's probably because you are indeed strong... and reliable—.

—H-Hey! MC, wh-what are you doing?—, Levi asks, embarrassed and clearly threatened.

—I think you should know by now, Levi—.

—How much I like you!— you say, and continue —Your purple hair, and your orange eyes, the fact that you look so good in anything you wear...—.

—W-well, an otaku like me... You know, it's disgusting—. His body tenses as he feels part of you on top of him. He has nowhere to escape to, other than his defense mechanism: finding a "logical" explanation on why it can't be that you love him.

—What makes you disgusting exactly?—, you ask seriously.

—You know! I'm an otaku who is obsessed with video games, anime, and manga, s-so...—.

—But I like those things too. Do you find me disgusting?—.

—NO!— Levi shouts. —You're beautiful!—, he confesses but immediately realizes his words and his embarrassment grow higher. He hides his face behind his hands and, in a quiet voice, admits: —I can't believe I said that—.

You grin, happy to have your crush exactly where you wanted him to. Your hunch proven right: yes, he loves you back. He's just insecure. Gently, you take his hands in yours. Surprised and confused, Levi watches you as you move his hands from his face and entangle your fingers with his.

—Tell me Levi...—, you feel the rush of blood run up to your pretty face, embarrassment filling your mind; but you continue determined: —What else do I need to do so you finally notice me? So you can finally understand how much I love you?—.

Leviathan's eyes widen in surprise.

—You are so cool, Levi, and so handsome, and so nice to me. I love you—, you confess. Then, you shorten the distance between you two, slowly, letting him know that you want to kiss him and yet respecting his heart, so you ask —Can we kiss?—.

Levi frees his hands from yours and place them softly on your cheeks, kissing you tenderly, almost as if you were an ethereal crystal that could break easily. You smile through his kiss and reciprocate with another when he's about to separate his lips from you.

Shortly after, with your eyes still close, you ask—Levi, how do you feel about me?—.

Finally, gathering all his strength, which surely will cost him years of his life span, he yells nervously: — I-I-I... I LOVE YOU TOO!—.

leave it to me to always make angst out of a lighthearted situation

we know the brothers strength is in age order. we saw a glimpse lucifer's strength at it's peak at the tail end of lesson 37 and all of lesson 38, and it was realm-ending, and diavolo is even stronger than lucifer because of his lineage. there's obviously a large power gap between luci and the rest of his brothers, even between him and mammon, but mammon is still ridiculously powerful. we've just never seen him use the full extent of his power. the full extent of levi's power led him to flooding and almost destroying the entire devildom. if the 3rd most powerful of the brothers can do that much damage, how much cam the 2nd most powerful do?

now, i'm not entirely sure if mammon is stronger than lotan, but imagine he is? and he knows that he is? he wouldn't want to hurt lotan, he knows levi really would never forgive him. mammon adores his brothers, almost as much as lucifer does, and would do anything to protect them and keep them happy and safe

hypothetically speaking, if mammon's really as powerful as he says he is - and i'm sure he is, he just has not and will not show it - he could end up seriously injuring or even killing lotan, which would devastate levi. he'd rather mask his abilitues and never show the true extent of his power than risk hurting the ones he loves by leaning into that side of himself

lucifer does, and literally did, the same. the only time we saw the full extent of his power was when he thought his brothers were gone, he thought he had nothing and no one to fight for, and he'd make everyone around him pay for taking away the only people in his life that mattered to him, the people he vowed to protect with his own life. if they couldn't live, he didn't deserve to either

mammon takes after lucifer, he has the same mindset, if not just a bit less intense. he pulls the "big brother" card all the time, threatens to use his power to its fullest extent, but wouldn't ever do anything to jeopardize his family's safety

"you know," levi begins, putting his controller down. that's when you know it's really serious. "i've been on this earth for a long, long time. both as an angel and a devil. so long that the years lost meaning."

he lets out a rueful laugh. "maybe that's why i got so into media, you know? to escape the monotony of everyday life. but anyway, i've been around for so many years that i no longer cared for the passing of time. i disliked it, in fact. my birthday was nothing but a marker of another meaningless year, more time wasted. but that was before you."

"before me?" you echo, taking his hand gently in yours. though you've long known about the decades that stretched since the celestial war and now, or from their creation until the celestial war, sometimes you forget that all of the boys have years and years and years under their belt. mostly because they act so childish.

"yes," he insists. "before you. now, mc, my life is filled with meaning again. i no longer feel the crushing need to escape to a digital world, or like I'm sick and tired of it all. i actually cherish my days now, as each one is special and new, thanks to you. i'm not saying it's solely because of you, but you've helped me unlock relationships and meaning in ways i never thought possible and for that, i'm so grateful."

"i can't say i did any of it on purpose," you reply, "but I'm glad you no longer feel that way. and levi, i treasure all of my days with you as well. since meeting you all, my life has improved tenfold. happy birthday."

"i love you," he says, and you grin.

"i love you too. now let's finish this level and then go downstairs to see if we can convince lucifer to bring out the cake."
