so, @dont-f-with-moogles challenged me as such on this post and this is what i came up with:
Tumblr media
as for the choice between those two front row cats, you might have thought Hange would be the red, aggressively affectionate one. but you'd be dead wrong.
because listen, this happens on the second Christmas day Levi spends above ground, and the first one after Hange unfortunately found out it's also his birth date (they confessed earlier today that Nanaba helped them break into Shadis' office to find Levi's record, and that is all they could dig up about him) and made, as he was afraid they would, a huge deal of it.
except he's starting to regret (yes, Levi is starting to regret something. no, he doesn't understand how it's happening either) thinking that was such a bad thing, because Hange has now spent the entire day with him (as in, took an actual break from their research and experiments), walked into town with him and took him to a tea shop that wasn't as fancy as he always feared those places would be (which probably has to do with how warmly the old lady behind the counter greeted Hange when they got in, but he's not going to pry about that.. yet) and discreetly bought and offered him the kind he liked best when they left.
and yeah, Levi's probably going to lose it when he realizes it was Hange's mission to lure him away from HQ today just so everyone could put together a surprise birthday party for him (and watch his reaction from afar instead of standing in a dark room and yelling out "SURPRISE" as Humanity's Strongest enters because, contrary to civilian belief, they are not a bunch of suicidal fools), and it will no doubt create yet another frustrating misunderstanding between them when he thinks that's all there was to Hange's behavior, but right now he doesn't know that...
no. right now, Levi's too drunk on the aftertaste of delicious tea, on confusingly comforting feelings about this day he hadn't associated with anything joyful since his mother died, and on Hange's insufferably irresistible kindness, to have noticed everyone lurking behind them
and right now, he's holding onto Hange's elbow to stop them from falling (because of course they had to walk backwards down those stairs so they could stare back at him as they excitedly ranted about who knows what and couldn't watch where they were going instead) and they're laughing off their own clumsiness and playfully mocking him like "hey, look at you on your higher step there, standing taller than me! this is so weird, i've never seen you that way before!"
and they keep yapping away, but his mind is stuck on that phrasing, and Levi gets so fucking... annoyed. annoyed at their teasing yet beautiful grin, at the deep brown of their scarf that so poorly compares to that of their eyes, at everything they've come to mean to him in the amount of time he's gotten to know them
and so, in a fit of insanity he'll blame on the magnetic pull they have on him even right now with their fogged-up askew glasses, he takes a deep breath, thinks what the hell
and goes with "well, here's another new way to look at me, shitty glasses"
and then he leans closer, and kisses them.

Some Levihan first Christmas living together headcanons nobody asked for ☃️
Characters: Levi Ackerman / Hange Zoe (mention of Erwin Smith / Miche Zacharias)
Modern AU / SFW / established relationship / non binary Hange / mention of alcohol
You can find a moodboard for these headcanons HERE
Tumblr media
Hange’s been leading the pharmaceutical research department in Trost University for a few months now and Levi is a personal trainer at Nanaba’s Gym, the trendiest health club in town
They met at Erwin and Miche’s housewarming party
After two years dating, Levi & Hange finally moved in together just after Halloweeen. They found a small apartment downtown. The neighbourhood is lively yet quiet enough and it’s near both Hange’s lab and Levi’s workplace
The couple adopted a cute ginger cat they called Sawney
From mid-November on, an excited Hange drags a grumpy Levi into various Christmas activities. He’s reluctant at first but their childlike wonder and restless enthusiasm finally win him over
They go to a Christmas market to find some decorations for their tree. New tradition as a couple: every year they’ll buy a decoration for each other as a gift. Hange’s first ornament reads “stay weird”, Levi’s “festive as fuck” (wtf is wrong with you guys? could you be more romantic?)
Hange stops at every single stall, gushing over everything with ohs and ahs and “Leeeeviiii!! Did you see that? It’s cute/amazing/funny/classy [pick one]”and Levi has to prevent them from buying every single crap (his words, not mine) they find to their (often questionable) liking
One of those crap being a woolly hat for their Sawney “he looks so cute with his ears sticking out of the hat, right Shorty?” Levi rolls his eyes. “Tch, the poor cat looks like a dumbass, Four-Eyes.” But he secretly finds it cute
They both taste all sorts of treats and beverages at the Christmas market. Hange loves mulled wine and Levi just frowns and says it tastes like spiced horse piss (and Hange’s breath is awful after a few sips)
They also go ice-skating when the sun starts to set. Clumsy Hange is surprisingly very good at it and teaches Levi, who stumbles a few times at first but Hange catches him in their arms (and kisses him every time because why not?)
Unfortunately Levi seems to have a hard time finding balance, which is odd given his job at the gym, but who am I to judge? So more kisses ensue, obviously (Levi you little shit lmao)
His cheeks and ears are tinged with red but it’s probably because of the mulled wine or the freezing-ass cold I guess
Whenever they can, they wander around a different part of town by night to enjoy the Christmas lights clung to each other
They wrap gifts for their loved ones together. Levi can’t help but sigh: “how the hell did you manage to make this look like it’s some turd wrapped in toilet paper, Four-Eyes?” They grin sheepishly and hand him the box and he shows them how to do this properly. Again. For the fourth time in a row.
In the end, Levi neatly wrapped all the gifts by himself. Hange beams (Four-Eyes you little shit lmao)
On Sundays they take a walk in the snow. Hange sure as fuck starts a snowball fight. “But they’re heart-shaped, Shorty!” they whine when he complains about the cannonball that just hit him in the face
They build a cute snowman together and make snow angels. Levi complains (again) because cold snow is sneaking under his clothes and Hange slides their hands under his shirt. ”C’mon Mr Grumps, let me warm up this soft skin of yours ^^” [insert Levi rolling eyes here]
Once they’re back home, they bake Christmas cookies together. Hange is in charge of the topping but, of course, it looks ugly as hell. Not to mention the filthy state of the kitchen after the cooking session. But Levi doesn’t have the heart to be mad at them, it’s the holidays after all. He wipes the frosting and flour off their face and kisses them on the cheek instead ;))
They don’t make much money yet so Levi cooks homemade treats as gifts for their friends and family. Christmas cookies, small jars of various jams, ingredients to make a hot chocolate or a brownie put together in a Mason jar with the recipe tied to it. Levi enjoys doing this for his loved ones. Even if they can afford buying presents for everyone in the next years, this will probably remain a tradition
Hange, on the other hand, buys silly little items for everyone, the cheaper and the cringier the better!
One evening after work, they go pick their Christmas tree together. It’s small because they don’t have much room in their apartment. They can’t help but bicker about how it must be decorated: Levi wants to pick one or two colours for a harmonious rendering, whereas Hange wants to put as many different colours as possible (as they should). They decide to decorate it in Hange’s way this year and Levi’s way next year (you wish, Levi)
Evening ritual: they put on their pajamas, cuddle up on the couch under a cosy, soft blanket with a cup of hot chocolate, Sawney resting on Hange’s lap, and watch silly Christmas movies on tv. Home alone is Hange’s favourite of course: they can’t help but admire the kid’s ingenious mind
For Christmas Eve’s dinner, Levi sets a simple but beautiful table and cooks a delicious meal for the both of them
By midnight, they open their gifts, a green set of gloves and scarf for Levi, a funny lunchbox for Hange
On Christmas day, they’ll go to Erwin and Miche’s fancy party with matching ugly sweaters (because Hange said so) and little gifts for all their friends
Tumblr media
We were talking about Christmas with @thehangetomylevi & about what Levi & Hange would do for their first Christmas together & these ideas started to pop up in my head!
Thanks Livia for encouraging me to post my silly Levihan Christmas HC 💚💜

Levihan Fist Kiss HC
I have this head canon that when Hange saved Levi, she had to do mouth to mouth to get him to breathe after the amounts of water that's gotten into his lungs after they jumped into the river. Which had accumulated in his unconscious state. And unknownst to Levi, he'd shared his first kiss with Hange without knowing about it. Imagine after years of working together, standing by each other's sides, secretly stealing glances and harbouring feelings for each other but unable to act upon them due to their occupations and the impeding doom, that after wishing to share their firsts with each other, they finally get the chance to. But it only lives on in memory of one of them as Hange was the only conscious one as she breathed life into him. The other completely oblivious to even having that moment they'd wanted so badly to share only to instead live on in regret thinking they've missed their chance to ever get it.
Hange having taken with her their first kiss along with Levi's heart before her sacrifice. Levi and Hange in the end giving their firsts to each other like they'd hoped to. And unknown as to why, time after the battle, Levi would find himself softly brushing his fingers over his lips from time to time when reminiscing over the brunetter. His fingers ghosting over the sewn patch of scars that flow from his temple down to below his lips, stopping right on his lips. And for some unknown reason, he feels her presence whenever he does it, almost as if he can feel the ghost of her lips against his. And that would be enough to soothe him on some of the loneliest nights.
"I'll make sure we properly share our firsts next time we meet, Four-Eyes."

Cuddles and Kisses
A quick levihan oneshot fic
--------------
Modern au, where Levi and Hange are happily married with udo as their son. Just a lot of fluff and them having the life they deserve:') enjoy lol
------------------------
"Welcome home!" Hange beamed, hugging Levi and kissing his cheek the moment he stepped inside their house. Levi sighed softly and kissed her cheek too. "Hey four eyes." He took his shoes off and kept his bag away, hange helping him to take his coat off. "How was your day?" hange asked. "Long and boring." Levi rolled his eyes, "I'd rather just be here with the two of you." He looked at her, "did you have dinner?" "Ah", she chuckled as he went to wash up and change, "not yet, I was waiting for you. Udo had his, though." Levi sighed. "Four eyes. How many times do I have to tell you that you shouldn't wait for me to have dinner. You know I have to work long hours sometimes. And I had informed you so too." Hange pouted at his scolding, "but I wanna have dinner with you! It's indirectly our special time anyway- and the other thing is-"
"Papa!" A little, babbly voice interrupted her as levi looked over his shoulder to see his son, Udo, waddle and crawl towards him, giggling and putting his little arms up for Levi to pick him up.
"P- papa!!" He repeated, happiness overflowing on seeing his dad. He was still so little, a chonky and cute baby yet to walk.  He could speak a few words and would crawl around the house all day, playing. How could Levi suppress his smile on seeing the most precious baby on this planet? His little boy, that too. Levi bent down and picked him up in his arms, kissing his head. "Hey brat...did you miss papa?" Big, gray and innocent eyes stared back at him as udo touched his dad's upturned nose with his little hand, babbling something incoherent before putting his arms around Levi's neck, hugging him. Levi physically felt his heart melting as a sweeter smile bloomed on his face, "Fuck, you're so precious.." he cradled his son, rubbing his back slowly as udo already started dozing off in his papa's arms.
Hange smiled at the sight of them, coming closer and kissing Levi's cheek. "He's already falling asleep in your arms.." She whispered softly, "always asking for you once evening hits.. he really is a papa's boy, hm?" "Oh he sure is.." Levi spoke softly, "I'm so lucky to have you both in my life... I'm so grateful to have this life- I would've hated it if it wasn't this. I'm the luckiest man ever."
And thus little udo was put to bed, after which Levi and Hange had dinner- hange had cooked Levi's favourite pasta. Her husband worked so hard to keep their little family running, after all! She could do atleast this much. The silence between them was always peaceful, occasionally broken by hange telling Levi about udo's everyday playing and cute habits, which he listened to attentively.
-----
"Levi, are you okay?... you're fidgeting a lot today... what's wrong?" Hange asked drowsily, turning to face Levi. "Sorry- I didn't mean to wake you up.." he replied, looking up at the ceiling, "I can't sleep.. I'm pretty tired today- but I just can't." Hange inhaled softly, shifting closer to her husband and pulling him into her arms, cuddling him close. She held him close to herself, running one hand through his hair stroking it gently. Her warmth was so welcoming, Levi immediately melted in and sighed at the comfort, snuggling in. "What's up, Levi?.. are you thinking about anything?.. is there anything on your mind..?" She whispered to him.
God, she knew him so well. It was unbelievable.
"It's nothing. I just..-" Levi began, pausing for a while hesitantly.
"I'm sorry, Hange."
She turned her head slightly to look at him, confused. "What for? Are you cheating on me or something-"
A kick to her ankle silenced her as she felt Levi frown against her skin.
"Are you an idiot? Why would I cheat on you if I have such a perfect life- such a sweet brat and the most gorgeous and perfect partner.." he said.
"Then- what is it?"
"I'm sorry because- I'm always at work.. you stay at home and do all the work here. The least I could do to help is atleast be here and spend some time with you but I can't do that either...you must be mad at me, aren't you? I think I'll take a day off and stay here with you both all day-" Levi stopped when he felt hange's lips pressing to his. He tilted his head, kissing back as hange silenced him gently, lovingly. She gazed into his eyes, caressing his cheek.
"Why do you think I'd be mad at you for that?" She held him close, peppering soft kisses on his cheek; speaking in her sweetest, most comforting voice. "You work so hard for all of us.. and I'm the one who should be thanking you for working day and night- since I left my job to take care of udo, it's all on you about going out and working.. which you do without complaining- I could never be mad about it.. I'm just so grateful to have you in my life.. and in my arms right now.."
Levi sighed upon listening to her, his heart felt lighter as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "You just know what to say at the right moment, shitty glasses.." he mumbled against her, "I really did get so fucking lucky to be with you didn't I.." Hange smiled at him, "it's a weekend tomorrow, shorty..just rest in for however much you need.."
She noticed how Levi's cheek squished against her skin. God, he was so cute. Bringing her other hand up, she poked his soft skin and proceeded to smoosh his cheek. "Oi, stop that." He grumbled through his forced pout. "Nope!" She giggled, "you're so adorable-! Who knew that popular bad boy in school would be so soft and sweet-" "Tch I'm not cute or any of that shit-" he grumbled again, "just be grateful that I managed my anger when we met in high school-"
"Mm and then the bad boy started hanging out with the nerdy science freak-" She giggled, remembering their high school days as she continued to press quick, light kisses all over his face, as if he was a teddy bear she was cuddling.
"And that bad boy in high school is living his best life today with his science freak.." Levi whispered, kissing her nose as she blushed, countenance glowing in the pale moonlight shining on her through the window.
"I really married an angel", Levi thought, cuddling back into her as he closed his eyes, dozing off. "Mm.. and the science freak is very happy too.. " hange whispered as she stroked his hair, starting to fall asleep too.
Holding each other in their arms peacefully, they knew that in this life- nothing could ever separate them.
Preach Levihan and share this post for a better lifestyle ok byeeee mwuah

Hange really loves the smell of vanilla extract. So much that Levi sometimes catches her huffing it like paint fumes.
Omg! Okay?! An actual addict? And Levi keeping quiet but very much judging with a whole range of facial expressions?
Literally Hanji:
Tumblr media
The fact that she had two cups’ worth of vanilla extract lying around. Levi comes home to this and immediately has a massive migraine.

hi i have a question can you give me some levihan headcanons as a couple in modern au?
OMG anon so sorry for not responding to you sooner! I had to sort out my thoughts first because modern AU is not something that comes naturally to me. But anyway, after doing some meditation, I managed to put my incomprehensible thoughts into words…  A little too much maybe… I hope you don’t mind 2.5k words of pure nonsense hc from my silly brain.
P. S I know you asked for an established relationship, but I just could not help but also write about how they met (yeah, I’m a sucker for meet cute and imagining my OTP falling in love in various universes).
Anyway, enjoy this long ass headcanon of Levihan’s friends-to-lovers modern au with a sprinkle of university au and a dash of sports romance genre!
Levi and Hange first meet each other at university. Hange is in her 2nd semester (studying Biology) and has an academic scholarship while Levi is in his 8th semester (studying finance) and has an athletic scholarship (yeah, they are THE couple).
One day a fire alarm suddenly goes off in their university building, and so Hange alongside other students on the seventh floor immediately go toward the emergency exit to evacuate.
Hange is oddly calm during the whole ordeal, but she unfortunately gets stuck in the middle of a panicking crowd. She tries to escape the chaos, but her attempt sadly causes her ankle to twist because apparently, someone has just stepped on her shoe.
Hange does not scream because she is too shocked to even let out any words. It does not even hurt, at least not until she shelters herself on one of the corners of the emergency stairs, that’s when she realises how impossible it might be for her to save herself in time.
Levi—whose class is on the eighth floor—is one of those people who acted way too calmly during dangerous situations. He waits calmly near the emergency exit’s door until he can see that the crowds have settled down.
When he finally “escapes” he notices a girl who is limping as she descends the stairs very slowly.  She is holding a shoe in her hand while she tries to not put any pressure on the sole of her bare foot.
Levi approaches her as he understands her condition. Without thinking, he offers to give her a piggyback ride. Hange refuses but he insists. He tells her that he doesn’t want to be responsible for someone’s death.
Therefore, Hange has no choice but to agree and she is quite impressed that he manages to walk down the stairs while carrying her without breaking any sweat.
When she sees her face earlier, she thinks that his face is familiar, but she can’t put her finger on it until he brings her to the university’s clinic. She hears one of the nurses call him “Ackerman”. That is when Hange realises that he is a professional athlete who won an Olympic gold medal in tennis at the young age of 20.
Just like that, the pain in her ankle suddenly disappears as her demeanour is quickly replaced by a more excited face. She tells him that she has watched his match on TV several times and she thinks he is so cool.
Levi has heard many people praising him that he can quickly recognise the difference between people who say it just to earn his attention and the people who say it genuinely because they like his play, and he instantly knows that Hange is the latter.
However, before Hange can thank him, Levi is told to leave by a nurse because some more people—who pass out due to the shock—begin to fill the clinic.
He later regrets the fact that he did not even ask for her name.
To his surprise though, a few days later, Levi finds Hange waiting in front of his class. She says she wants to thank him for saving her. She gives him a brochure of a medical museum that belongs to the university, and she invites him to come, saying that she will be his museum guide.
Despite Levi knowing that her offer is sort of an odd way of showing “gratitude”, he accepts it without even thinking about it.
During their museum “date”, Hange excitedly walks him through almost all the collections in the museum. She seems to know everything and so Levi is convinced that she must have eaten an encyclopaedia for breakfast that day.
Levi does not really care about science but the way her eyes sparkle in passion every time she speaks does make him reconsider his earlier judgment about museums and science. They are much more interesting than what he remembers from high school.
After their museum “date” he suddenly asks whether she wants to come to watch him play next week. Usually, his mother will come to watch but she can’t that day because she must chaperone his seven-year-old cousin on a field trip.
Hange answers yes without skipping a beat, and so Levi ends up asking for her phone number so he can give her the ticket for the match.
Hange can’t take her eyes off him during the match, and she is practically swooned by him by the end of it.
Truthfully though, they are already attracted to each other right from their first meeting, but Hange believes that she just admires him for his talent as an athlete. Meanwhile, Levi—despite being aware from the get-go that he likes her—believes that she isn’t interested in him (idiots in love, you know the drill)
YET, despite it all, they gradually start to become even closer to each other. They text each other every day and they will often have lunch at the canteen together when they can. Then, somehow along the way, they just became inseparable.
Their favourite place to be together is the library! Levi will work on his thesis while Hange works on her assignments, papers, or studying for many of the academic competitions that she participates in. However, he quickly found out that she is actually quite distracting even when she is not saying anything.
Hange will come to watch Levi every time he has a practice match nearby and then they will grab a dinner together after that. She has come too many times that the coach and some other athletes recognise and befriend her.
Before he knows it, glancing in her direction before he starts his match has become his routine. Something that he keeps doing for years to come.
Levi will wait for her class to be over then he will walk her to the bus stop. He will wait until her bus is gone from his sight.
Sadly, their little “hangouts” don’t last long though since he graduates a few months later.
It is during his graduation that she meets Kuchel for the first time! Hange introduces herself as Levi’s friend but of course, mother knows best. Since Kuchel comes alone, there is still another seat for Levi’s family in the auditorium, so she invites Hange to accompany her throughout the whole ceremony.
Levi is surprised when he spots his mother sitting with Hange, but he can’t hide his joy when he notices how much her mother likes Hange.
When the ceremony is finished, Kuchel goes to ask someone to take a photo of the three of them together. She also takes a photo of both Hange and Levi together. If you look closely at their photo, you can see Levi being subtly flustered in all of their pictures.
After that, Kuchel invites Hange to come for dinner someday at their house, which Hange complies gladly. And so, a few weeks later Hange comes for dinner at the Ackerman’s house and that is when she meets Levi’s uncle, Kenny.
She is shocked to see Kenny there because Levi’s uncle is none other than a guy who almost “killed” her in high school. The story goes like this: 15-year-old Hange was riding her bike one day right after school when Kenny’s car suddenly struck her from behind. Fortunately, she only suffered minor injuries and he was responsible enough to pay for the medical bills as well as saying, “Yeah, I guess I’m sorry,” to her parents.
Levi realises that he is also at the same hospital right at the same time as Hange because he was asked by Kenny to bring the wallet that he had left at home—something that Kenny eventually used to pay for Hange’s medical bills. They could have met back then, but he is glad that they met much later in life.
Kenny also recognises her as the girl that he almost killed but he jokingly remarks that it is just a work of fate that she gets to meet her boyfriend’s uncle way before the two of them officially meet.
They both deny the “boyfriend” claim, but it is during that moment that Hange realises her true feelings. Like she goes, “OMG do I want to be him to be my boyfriend?!!!! OH SHIT I GUESS I DO!”
After that, she becomes shy around him out of the blue which confuses Levi. He begins to think that his connection to Kenny might have bothered her. Levi, desperately not wanting her to hate him, invites her to an arcade.
Hange obviously has a lot of fun there. She is smiling and laughing, she is glowing with pure happiness that makes Levi come to a realisation that he would be so grateful if he could see her smile every day for the rest of his life.
During their walk home, Hange can’t stop thanking him for her wonderful day at the arcade. But Levi is still slightly worried that she might still hold some grudges against his uncle, but before he can ask about it, Hange cuts him with a question, “Hey, do you want to go out?”
Levi definitely does not see that one coming. It is so out of the blue and it shocks him so greatly to the point that he almost walks into a streetlamp.
But of course, he wants to, duh! So yeah, they officially became a couple after that.
Hange invites Levi to meet her parents not too long after that and well it’s quite easy for their parents to accept him when they can see how happy their daughter is when he is around her.
Hange’s father, who has a hobby of collecting antique cameras, is the one who introduces Levi to photography. He even gives Levi one of his old cameras for him to try, and it does not take long before his camera is full of Hange’s pictures.
Regarding their relationship, since they become busier with their own stuff (Hange with uni and Levi with his professional tennis career), they do not really go out together as often as before. However, they try to always make time to be with each other during important moments. For example: Hange rarely skips watching Levi’s match, be it from the arena or the live streaming. Likewise, Levi seldom misses any exhibition or competition that Hange participates in. He even reads all the articles that Hange had written for many journals.
Generally, they like to keep their relationship private. They are the kind of chill couple who rarely show PDA. But I do think Hange might hug him occasionally when she’s happy (maybe when they haven’t seen each other for a while).
Hange moves into Levi’s apartment after she graduates from uni. However, long before that, she has had plenty of sleepovers there. She has already left some of her stuff in Levi’s apartment, so she does not really pack much when she eventually moves in.
Hange works as a botanist at a pharmaceutical company, and she is considering taking a master’s degree in the near future.
She has a much more flexible—albeit packed—work schedule while Levi has a much more rigid schedule as he has to train six days a week at the gym with his coach. As a result, they begin to have less time together.
However, they understand that they don’t need to meet often. They have deep trust in each other, so their relationship is pretty much secure and low maintenance. Though out of the two, Levi is the one who tends to miss her presence the most.
Hange is the one who overshares, and Levi is the one who will gladly listen to anything that she has to say about.
Hange is also the touchy one! They will be sitting next to each other on the couch watching TV, and in the next few minutes, Hange has already put her head on his shoulder and squeezed his hand.
The first thing that he notices after she moves in is the fact that he will have to listen to Hange and be touched by Hange 24/7 until he dies. But somehow it does not bother him at all. In fact, all he can think about is, “Ok, I guess this is my life now,” with a smile on his face.
Levi enjoys cleaning Hange’s stuff! Hange will sometimes go to work with her laptop and shoes suddenly spotless and shining. However, his ultimate favourite thing to clean is her glasses because he gets to see her beautiful eyes HAHA.
Hange has a hobby of gardening so their apartment is quickly filled up with many potted plants (each one has a name!). She also makes a mini garden on their balcony.
Most of the day, Levi is the first one to wake up since he has to go to train early at the gym, but he always has the time to prepare breakfast for both Hange and him before he leaves. Hange usually wakes up right before Levi leaves, and she will always kiss him on the cheek as a good luck charm.
When Hange has to work in her lab, she tends to work until late in the night so Levi will come to pick her up if he can.
Despite their busy schedules, they always try to at least have dinner together every day. Sometimes when Hange works from home, she will either make a dinner or order something for both of them.
They also try to have lunch or dinner with their whole family (Kuchel and Hange’s parents) every month or every two months. Mostly at their place but sometimes at Kuchel’s house or the Zoë’s house.
They rarely argue. If they do, it is mostly out of their love and care for each other. Levi will sometimes get so worried for Hange that Hange starts to feel that he becomes too micromanaging of her while Hange will sometimes get too engrossed in her work that Levi feels forgotten by her.
Their argument won’t last more than a day though since being away from each other is much more miserable than being together. I feel like they care more about each other than they care about their own ego.
I like to imagine Hange as this one post on Reddit about “I have the biggest crush on my husband.” I mean, that’s so Hange-coded LMAO. I mean, despite having been in a relationship for so long with Levi, she still acts like she just discovered her feelings for him (blushing, nervous, buzzing heart, being shy when she sees him up close, being excited for their date, etc.).
Levi is definitely a lot softer around her! His voice is lower, his frown is absent, and he likes to affectionally touch her hair. This has become so apparent that people like to point it out to him, which he denies!
They will have a super simple and quick wedding! They just wear their best clothes as they register their marriage. Then they invite their closest friends and families to a dinner at a restaurant.
There is no proposal. Hange just casually brings it up one morning to Levi, “Hey, I think we should get married. What do you think?”
It's a good thing that Levi has not yet drunk his tea when she asks that or else the tea could have choked his throat to death.
When they marry, they retain their last name since both of them have prominent careers.
Would they have children? Yeah I like to think they would HAHA
SO YEAH! That’s all that I can think about! Sorry that this has become way too long… I hope you like it Anon! Sorry if you found any typos or mistakes.
Also, thank you so much for sending me this ask! I actually had a lot of fun making (and daydreaming) about levihan in modern AU!

♥️ - family headcanon: for Hange
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon: for Levi
Please and thank you, dear Bolo 💜
thanks for sending this in, Citrouille, love ya <3
send a hc request
♥️ - family headcanon - Hange
i have so many of these, thanks to the absence of canon material about their background. one of my favorites is Hange not having parents and being given up to an orphanage as a baby, where they met Mike and the two weirdos that they already were as kids stuck together and became each other's siblings. i also like to imagine them losing their parents because of titans, which could explain Hange's initial hatred for the giants when they joined the Scouts. were their parents both scouts in love who clandestinally had a child and therefore had to give it up with a letter explaining that to them later on? or was that a nice romantic story the people at the orphanage made up to cover for the fact that in reality only their mom was a soldier who nearly perished on an expedition while pregnant, and their other parent was some noble from Mitras who couldn't live with the scandal of that bastard child when she gave birth to them and died and the army traced the baby back to them, and instead gave Hange up immediately? i don't know, but i know i almost always imagine them as having no actual close family (and some dark/tragic story behind their conception and birth, alright). i think that comes from my mind making kind of an unexpected parallel between Hange and Temperance Brennan from Bones? they're both badass scientist people who are considered freaks because of their fascination for a topic others judge weird/dangerous/gross and have a very odd relationship to social norms, and i love them and will protect them both at all costs.
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon - Levi
post canon, i like to imagine Levi drawing. i don't think he intended on learning it, i think he starts trying to learn how to use his left hand to write after his right hand got blown up. but forming letters with the wrong hand is really fucking hard and frustrating, yet another reminder of things he's not able to do anymore in this useless broken body of his, and he almost gives up before he remembers Hange's advice, all those years ago after he'd first joined the scouts and let them help his illiterate self to learn the skill and listened when they told him to try drawing the letters instead of writing them. it worked back then so he gives it a go, and the difference with that memory is that right now, he doesn't have to rush to learn how to write reports for a professional reason. no, now he's learning how to write again just so he can update the kids on his life in his little cabin in the woods and sign a formal document once in a while, and now he has time to waste on this kind of mundane shit since the war's over and he doesn't need to be Humanity's anything anymore. and soon he finds himself tired of drawing letters and words and wanting to draw Hange instead. maybe it's because that one picture he has of the two of them they took during their trip to Marley is starting to fade from how much time he spends folding and unfolding it out of his pocket to look at their goofy, ridiculous smile and the gigantic lolipop they'd shared, maybe he's sick of being able to recall so many of the thrillion of words they threw at his ears during the time they knew each other but he's starting to forget some details of what their face looked like. maybe he just misses them, alright? whatever the reason, it works, and during his first attempts at drawing them it already feels like the closest thing to being with them again -even though he can almost hear them howling in laughter at the result because it's so ugly and inaccurate and not anywhere near what he pictured. he laughs along with them and tries again the following day, and the next, and many other after that. until one day, he nails it. he really does; he looks down at his work and that's Four Eyes right there, that's as close to a photograph as his hand can get. and they look so real, and perfect -and still, and quiet- on paper, that he doesn't feel like laughing anymore.

Hello there Val! As a fellow Levihan shipper I absolutely adore your blog.💜
What is your favorite Levihan hc that you have?
Hello Sweet Anon 💜
You "adore" my blog ?? Wow thank you so much frjskfrjsk 😳
I don't create much content but I try to share the most beautiful Levihan fanart & content I can find & I'm happy if you appreciate it Sweet Anon & all of you guys out there ! I love Levihan so so much !! They live rent free in my mind 24/7 ngl 💚💜
***The following is only my humble opinion & I don't claim it's the truth, only the way I see Levihan***
My favorite Levihan hc is that it's a "friends to lovers" trope.
When they first talk to each other (ACWNR), Hange's genuine praise takes Levi off guard but this first impression will remain in his mind. They're the first person trying to be friendly & to get to know the Underground trio. I think Hange helped Levi get over his grief when Farlan & Isabel died, just being around & acting friendly, not even expecting him to reciprocate. As years went by, Levi became more & more comfortable around Hange, maybe because they're both out of the ordinary people, they understand one another better. I think Levi told Hange about his childhood, his life in the Underground, as Hange is not the type to judge their peers in any way.
Levi would not only listen to Hange's theories, ideas, plans, but also remember what they told him about those topics. Levi is also the one taking care of Hange's health, the one spending time with them on a daily basis, the one helping them figure things out & supporting them no matter what. I think that at some point, they became more intimate & developped romantic feelings for each other. The painful loss of Erwin also brought them closer.
For me they're soulmates, either you see their relationship as platonic or romantic. They trust each other, understand each other without even speaking, they support each other's decisions... I wish we could have had a glimpse at what happened during the 4 years gap between S3 & S4. In my imagination, Levi & Hange's relationship strengthens during those years, as they are constantly together, working, making & discussing plans, raising the kids, spending time off riding outside the walls...
I see IFKK & the "dedicate your heart" scenes as love confessions. Everything they've been through together increased their unique bond, but makes the end even more painful. They could not escape their fate, but they deserved to live together peacefully after war, nothing can change my mind about that.
Thanks for your ask & your support, Sweet Anon !
Have the nicest of days 💚💜

hi can you give some levihan headcanons as a couple , maybe in modern au
Thank you so much for the request! This is my first headcanon request so I tried to make it as perfect as possible! Also, bear with me because I got overexcited with the ask, and instead of the point form HC formulation I should've followed, I may or may not have thought up their whole freaking backstory... and their follow up story... Oops. I won't post it here today, but I do think I will make it a separate post some other day if anyone is interested enough. Either way, thank you so much and I hope you enjoy!

I like to think that even in modern AU, Hange would still have her cheery personality, but instead of obsessing over Titans, she'd be more interested in microbes (I know, transition between giants to microorganisms, LOL). She'd still be interested in saving humanity, but more in the bacterial and medical kind of field instead.
Levi on the other hand, no longer having to be a soldier, he'd happily run the tea shop he'd always wanted right next to his best friends Isabel and Furlan.
The two met on a subway ten years ago on Levi's first day of work in the city. Where an unfortunate mix up of personal belongings caused by clashing into each other got them acquainted and familiar with each other. Despite the unfortunate meeting and the roller coaster of events that unfolded from their collision, it eventually became a pleasant story to tell their friends or at parties when asked how they met.
They were complete opposites of each other. Hange loved the outdoors while Levi preferred staying at home. She was loud and upbeat while he preferred silence and tranquility. Hanger had a habit of being free willed and letting her spontaneity take her, while Levi liked to have everything planned and set before getting into anything
And it wasn't just their preferences that differed, it was every aspect of themselves. Their life choices and ways of thinking were drastically opposing. Even the way they disagreed on what they wanted to eat for dinner caused heated discussion when brought up, as Hange would pick sweets for dinner instead of something sustainable like Levi wanted.
They were complete and utterly the opposite of each other. And while everything pointed to them not working out and onlookers put their money on their relationship ending in a messy breakup, they proved everyone wrong every time with how much their bond only grew stronger overtime. And how their loving partnership became more and more obvious the more time spent around them, erasing any doubts they had about the couple.
Yes, they fought occasionally, and they drove each other absolutely insane. But their differences also brought them out of each other's shells, together experiencing new things they would've never seen without the other otherwise. They saw the world in a different light through each other's eyes, and came to love the new combined word they created together. Because with being opposites of each other, it also meant they filled each other's holes and missing pieces. Almost like creating a stained glass window meant to be clear with splashes of purples and greens instead. Creating an accidental masterpiece that came to be adored by those lucky enough to bask under the kaleidoscope of colours in their inner chapel. Bathing those closest to them with the deep love they had for each other.
Throughout the years of getting to know each other, they found a way to put their differences away, and somehow managed to build up their relationship status to best friends. So much so that Isabel and Furlan, Levi's childhood friends complained about being replaced so quickly. Although, in all considerations, it felt to Levi like he was the one being replaced by Hange instead with the way his friends loved her. Hell, even his mother and uncle seemed to love her more than him.
"Welcome home, runt. Where's Hange? I wanted to discuss about the new wine she mentioned to me last time." His uncle would say when he'd visit.
"Oh Hange! I've made your favourite pudding!" His mother would greet, throwing herself at his girlfriend before she caught sight of her own son staring at them with a roll of his eyes. "Oh, Levi! Nice to see you too of course."
Contrary to his grumbles and complains about Hange being overburdened by his family every time she visited, he couldn't help but feel his heart beat happily at knowing the love of his life was accepted by his family, and that they loved her as much as he did himself. Having the two most important parts of his life get along was all he cared about.
Despite having known each other for ten years, having met when Levi was 26 and Hange 24, they didn't start dating until... well that was a mystery of its own as they themselves didn't really know when they started dating. Not fully at least.
Somewhere along the years of their friendship the lines blurred, and they somehow ended up with the shocking, yet not surprising realization that they were and had been dating each other for a while. But the way they realized it and came to terms with it wasn't an easy one. When Levi finally came to terms that he harboured feelings for his best friend, he initially thought that Hange had feelings for someone else. And he could only put up with the unbearable pain he went through when he overheard Moblit mention to Nifa that Hange couldn't meet with them for a work dinner because she had a date already.
So one can only imagine his surprise when Hange showed up with a smile at his shop door on Saturday, greeting him and his workers as happily as ever. Even throwing herself at him for a hug like she always did whenever she visited. A hug that would be considered too personal and close for two individuals that were only considered friends. But not once during her whole afternoon spent there did she mention anything about meeting up with anyone else, but the suspense was absolutely killing Levi by the point the clock struck half an hour to dinner time.
But Hange continued being her usual self. Greeting new and old clients alike as if she'd been friends with them for ages. Making a complete mess of his usual clean counters only to be scolded off by Levi to go to the corner and read instead, and even teasing him about random things like she always did. All the while being completely unaware of the turmoil and the pain Levi felt at thinking about how he would have to hide his feelings and having to pretend to be happy for Hange being with someone that wasn't him the rest of their live. It was becoming an unbearable and depressing Saturday to say the least. His mood only soured more as Hange still acted all upbeat and nonchalant as ever. Not once having brought up her dating life to him, despite being her so called bestie. And it brought about this ugly feeling of disbelief and jealousy out of him that he'd never experienced before.
As nighttime fell over the streets, Levi finally broke his silence and lashed out at her bitterly, asking why she was hanging out with him when she already had plans with someone else.
And out of all ways she could've reacted to his interrogation, being laughed at was something he didn't expect.
"But Levi, YOU are my date." She finally gasped, having finally gained the capacity to breathe again after having laughed at his question.
"Huh? How am I your date, fucking Four- Eyes. We never made plans for anything. Besides, I overheard your coworkers talk about you meeting someone instead of eating with them... How can I be considered your date?"
Hange tilted her head, amusement flowing in her brown eyes as she caught the usual poised and self-assured raven-haired individual lose his composure. "Huh... But I thought we've been dating for while now, Shorty. I've even been referring to you as my boyfriend to my friends and coworkers for the last few months."
Turns out, her date was none other than Levi. And her idea of a date was hanging out with him at his tea shop on the weekend like she's been doing the last five years. And Levi, as clueless to feelings as ever, never put two and two together.
The whirring of machine cogs and espresso machines filled the silence between them as Levi processed whatever Hange had just said.
"The fuck?! You can't simply just call me your boyfriend when I haven't even been aware of us dating this whole time!" He finally retaliated, throwing the rag in his hands onto the tabletop.
Hange giggled, noticing the reds on his cheeks. It wasn't a no, she could read from his eyes. "I like you too, Shorty. So? Are we officially dating now?"
"You better make up for the last few months I've been out of loop of my own relationship."
Tumblr media
They ended up adopting a black goldfish adorably named One-Eyed Moody after the professor of the dark arts from the Harry Potter series for the fact it was both very moody and in fact, one eyed. Levi had reluctantly agreed to let Hange get a pet for their apartment once they had moved in together after a year of dating. He expected her to get a cat, a big dog, or a lizard for all he knew. Although he made it very clear the last one were on the black list.
Instead, Hange had found One-Eyed Moody on a cart ready to be discarded off at the pet shop. Having instantly connected with it, she begged Levi to get it. And with a heavy sigh, he couldn't say no. Mind you, it was pretty much dead at that point, but through endless observation and whatever mutated food concoction Hange whipped up, it came back to life in a matter of weeks. And in turn, Levi had somewhat grown attached to it. Hange liked to joke that it was their baby and it resembled them both in some ways.
Their days spent together were a blend of their interests mixed into one. When Hange wanted to settle down and read, Levi would do skin care for both of them to make use of their time. All the while Hange reading aloud the words from her book so Levi could listen as well. When Levi wanted to clean the house, Hange knew better than to lend a hand as he was peculiar in his ways. So instead she'd make some tea for both of them and cook dinner for a famished Levi by the end of his cleaning session. On days Hange felt like watching a documentary on bugs or microbes, Levi would lay his head on her lap as she brushed her fingers through his locks. The soothing motion letting him get some shut eye he usually never got due to his insomnia.
Hange had a habit of working overtime, and sometimes even staying overnight at her lab. On days like these Levi would pack up some sweets from his shop and some warm tea and bring them to her office as he kept her company. On the off days Hange had a day off, she'd use it to help around in Levi's shop. Chatting up customers and bringing a bright feeling to the atmosphere. Levi absolutely adored watching her laugh and interact with regulars from behind the counter. Although he'd never voice these thoughts aloud. But it wasn't needed, as his employees, Jean, Sasha, and Connie all make kissy faces to each other whenever they caught Levi glancing a little too long at his partner.
Levi didn't like to admit it, but most of his photos on his phone were of candid pictures of Hange. But not the flattering ones most boyfriends take of their girlfriends that are Instagram worthy. No, most of them were completely unflattering. Many consisting of Hange snoring with her mouth wide open, of her laying in a pile of dirt after having chased a squirrel. Of Hange throwing a middle finger to the camera after being caught without caffeine early in the morning, or even of her snorting in laughter after something funny Erwin had told them during one of their get togethers.
He was absolutely infatuated with her. With her quirks and her being. He was in love with Hange Zoe.
And similarly, Hange kept a record of all the plants and bouquets Levi gave her over the years. A collection of pressed flowers and dried leaves from every flora and fauna he'd ever gifted her. Because as much as she loved flowers, she loved more the effort gone into picking a different flower each time they had a celebration. Because as Levi had once told her, she was so unique that not one flower could ever describe her, and that he could never tie her down to one specific plant.
Normal dates like going to the mall or watching movies before dinner on a weekend weren't their thing. Instead, beach dates in mid freezing February nights, stargazing spontaneously on a random Wednesday night, running around the fields of the neighbourhood Hange grew in during summer afternoons, hiding from thugs after trespassing someone's property to take a look at the size of a wasp's nest, ending with the nest falling to the ground and its inhabitants swarming around the local outlaws on a spring morning... All were chaotic memories that belonged only to them. Those were the kind of dates they had.
They never had to verbally express their admiration or love for each other openly. Or make it everyone's business to know that they were together because they had upmost trust in their partnership and relationship without having to project it to the world in a fright of being misunderstood. Both knowing perfectly well how much they cared and loved each other in the small gestures they shared: The little brush of fingertips as they greeted each other goodbye before work. In the way they worked in sync when working together on a project for their new home. Of how they made love to each other in the warm embrace of each other, blinds closed and moans silenced between their interexchange of kisses. Making their love known only between themselves. It never became a pressing matter having everyone else know their business or feeling the need to explain their relationship to others. In the end, their actions spoke louder than words, and everyone could tell that they had the upmost trust in their relationship.
But in the calmness and safety of their bubble, eventually doubt would emerge, and leak a hole in their safe haven, no matter how much effort they put into keeping it afloat.
Hange absolutely loved and had a strange fascination for energy drinks infused in coffee, the ones that had 10 times the amount than should be allowed by any manufacturers or allowed to pass inspections. So much so that she'd stop by the convenience store on the corner of their apartment every time she came back from work. Bringing with her at least 10 cans with her.
Levi, despite his eye rolls and grumbles about over caffeination and annoyance at having a bunch of empty cans to constantly recycle, still got them for her whenever he passed by on his way from the tea store nonetheless. Loving and having a soft spot for the way Hange's eyes lit up and the way she threw herself at him every time he brought it for her.
Due to their different time schedules they never got to meet up to shop together, but nonetheless they each become regulars in the little shop for the drinks Hange so badly craved.
It was one day that Hange came back, a look of complete defeat on her face as she slummed against the door that Levi understood something was wrong. That, and the fact her hands were empty of her usual drinks.
"Finally figured out you were consuming poison?" Levi questioned as he started unclasping her shoes, carefully placing them on the shoe rack.
Shaking her head sadly, Hange sighed. "No... they hiked up the prices again. I know we're tight on money so I can't go buying five dollar coffee from the convenience store anymore... I guess I'll just have to settle for the stale decaf coffee they have at the office."
"Tch... don't exaggerate, Four-Eyes. The drinks were never more than two bucks." Levi muttered, taking her jacket off and placing it on the hanger.
Hange's brows furrowed. "Two bucks? When have they ever been that cheap? I've always been paying four fifty."
"Huh? What fucking store have you been to? It's been two fifty since we've moved here." Levi grumbled, flicking his finger over her forehead.
The topic brought on an argument that lasted the whole night over who was right and wrong. And it only settled when they both agreed to go to the store the following day together. Luckily it was a national holiday and neither had to go to work.
The following day, in typical Hange fashion, she'd forgotten to feed One-Eyed Moody. Refusing to leave the house without feeding him first, she told Levi to go on first, and that she'd meet him in the store.
But what she found as she entered the familiar shop was something she'd never expected. The usually bored clerk was suddenly chirpy and chatting up no other than her boyfriend. Levi on the other hand, seemed quite discontented from the conversation, but kept adding a word or two in politeness.
Suddenly catching his girlfriend's gaze, Levi started raising his hand to signal her over, when Hange crossed her hands in front of her, shaking her head vigorously as she unlinked and relinked her arms in the cross motion, signaling behind the cashier's back for Levi to not blow her cover.
Confused at her sudden antics, he furrowed his brows, but did as instructed, following Hange's pointed look to the cooler housing her favourite drinks before she mouthed "cashier, go pay for them!".
It was only after he exited the store ten whole minutes later, an annoyed look on his face that Hange finally pounced on him.
"So?"
"So what? You left me to listen to that girl talk about bad dates alone for ten minutes. Here's your stupid drinks." Levi grumbled, throwing the plastic bag into her arms.
Shaking her head, Hange stopped him from walking towards their home's direction. "NO! I meant, how much did you pay?"
"Ah... like I said, two bucks each." He said, annoyance still laced in his words.
And that's when it clicked for Hange. "Ah huh! I knew it! Levi! She's into you! She's been giving you a discount in order to get you to pay attention to her! She's been flirting with you this whole time!"
And instead of how a typical girlfriend would act after having found out their boyfriend was being hit on by someone else, Hange looked absolutely elated.
"Why you so happy about that? Are you not afraid that I'll reciprocate her someday?"
Of course they both knew he was kidding. The bond and love they shared with each other, despite being subtle, was very much irreplaceable.
"Because, it means that from now on, I get to stock up on my favourite drinks at a nice price!"
"Tch... you don't even know if she actually lowered the price, Four-eyes. Maybe you got charged extra by accident."
But having stepped into the store and bringing back a drink with her, Hange had confirmed for both of them all they needed to know.
And so, that day forward, it became their little secret. Levi would get Hange her drinks at a discounted price because of a crush the cashier had on him.
At first everything seemed alright, but slowly as time progressed, Levi seemed more distant and dejected every time he returned from the store. Hange seemed to pick up on his change of mood, but wasn't sure what was causing it. So instead she watched on in silence as Levi's presence became more and more cold.
Unsure of how to bring it up, she watched silently, until eventually Levi was the first to bring it up.
"Hange... are you okay with someone else hitting on me? Are you fine of having others perceiving me as single?" Levi asked suddenly one night. They were doing their usual pre-bed night routine as Levi prepped their ten stepped skin care for both of them. Hange resting her head on his lap, a book open in front of her.
"Hm? No... Should I be?" She asked, her eyes still glued to the words on the pages before her.
Levi's hands stilled completely, bringing a silence over them following Hange's words.
"No... nothing." He muttered finally, getting up. "I'm done. Don't go to bed too late." He said before walking towards their shared bedroom, his face concealed by the dark room.
At first Hange sat there in confusion. What was up with him and his weird questions? She thought about going to him and getting an answer out of him, but as her gaze fell over the bottles of her favourite drink sitting by the doorstep, realization fell over her. And her heart shattered.
The following day, Levi was doing the usual run. Head downcast and eyes unfocused, he forced on a smile that didn't reach his eyes as the cashier continued telling him something he assumed was supposed to be funny.
"Anyways, that'd be ten dollars."
The usual conversation... the usual dissociation... the same dull pain he felt at pretending to be interested in someone he had no feelings for.
"If you're free, I've been thinking... maybe we can get to know each other outside of the sto-"
As Levi started handing over the bill, already coming up with a plausible excuse to not go on a date, a hand suddenly stopped him, pulling him back.
"Sorry, I think you've got the wrong price! The price tag reads five dollars for a drink, and we got five of them here. I think- I think you might be undercharging us!" A bright voice chirped out of breath.
"Hange?" Levi asked surprised, turning to see the mess of a woman before him. She was absolutely out of breath, her lab coat was still on her figure, where a bunch of stains of various unnatural colours painted the once white cloth, and worse of all, she had goggles over her glasses, and that wasn't counting the pair that hung from her neck or the one on her forehead.
"Sorry I'm late. Work took longer to finish than I thought." She puffed out, throwing him a wide smile.
The cashier cleared her throat, noticing the gaze between them, not liking how close they seemed. "Uh... I'm sure I put the price right... I'll go check on the price tags after I ring this customer." She said as she turned back to Levi, her eyes still turning to take a look at Hange. "Don't worry about it, pay the usual price you pay."
But before she could continue, Hange inserted herself once more. "No need! I've got the rest of the money here." She said, pulling out a bunch of lose change from her pockets. Some which fell to the floor if not rolling on the counter.
"Oops..."
"Ma'am... I'm sorry, but can you please wait for your turn? I'm helping this customer over here first. I'll get back to you af-"
"We're paying together. These are for her. She's my girlfriend." Levi said.
A stunned silence fell over the three of them at Levi's words. His confession even surprising Hange as it was the first time she'd heard him introduce her as his girlfriend to anyone else other than their family and friends.
There was a certain pride in his eyes as he finally got to call her his in public. He wasn't one for public affection, or making the world know of his business. But there was something that warmed his chest in having others see them as a couple. Of having made it known that Hange was his. And only his.
Hange smiled. "25 should be the full price." She said, picking up the forgotten coins on the counter before interlacing her fingers with Levi's, and rushing out the door together with his hand in hers. The wind carrying her contagious laugh as they made their way to their apartment. Onlookers and everything else be damned.
"Aren't you sad?" Levi finally asked as they crashed onto the floor of their entrance hall after having run all the way up the stairs to their home.
"Over?" She asked breathlessly, turning to look at her lover.
"The fact you'll have to pay more for the drinks. Or at least cut down on them."
Hange chuckled, a bright twinkle of amusement amongst her brown eyes. "It's worth it. I'd rather pay more for my drinks than lose that warmth of yours... I don't want the love of my life to feel like I'm hiding our relationship. Besides... It was kind of sexy having you put claim over me in front of someone who had eyes on you for a long time."
"Fucking unbelievable." Levi grumbled, causing Hange to giggle before rolling over so she was just over his face. A serious look suddenly taking over her features.
"I love you, Levi. You and no one else."
"I love you too, Four-Eyes." Levi whispered back, placing a hand to the back of her head to bring her closer to him. "Who else can drive me as insane as you?"
And with it, they melted into a kiss.

hc: Tired and clingy Levi. Hange loves it.
In the days Levi feels burnt out from his course, he stays over at his partner's dorm, and vice versa. It's their sort of silent agreement. Whenever Hange sees him at their doorstep, unannounced, they know what it means. There isn't a need for words.
The two sit down on the sofa, and Levi buries himself in Hange's arms. It's the most comforting thing in the world. A hand petting your head, a cheek resting on your forehead, arms that will never let you go. It just feels so safe. They just feel so safe.
Hange knows he's tired, but goddamn it's so adorable. The way he shamelessly snuggles up to them, his hands locked together at their waist. They know they can't help him, their courses are wildy different, so they do what they can and keep him safe in their arms. Hange smiles and kisses his forehead.
"Want some tea?"
"Mmm. Just a few more minutes."
"Alright."

The one to lead us
A titan hange fanfic
Summary: basically chapter 137- 138(?) But altered to make hange come back. Heavy heavy heavy manga spoilers. Hope you guys like it, enjoy :)
------------------------------------
Levi tried to take a breath, but coughed up blood instead. Now his ankle was broken, but atleast Connie was safe.
Safe from dying immediately.
The situation was worsening so fast.
Titans swarming left and right, mikasa going berserk, reiner almost dying, armin getting kidnapped, Pieck getting stabbed-
Levi's vision started blurring out, head drooping. His injuries from the explosion in the forest hadn't yet healed, and he couldn't fight properly. He nearly passed out when Connie's loud scream jerked him back into consciousness.
"CAPTAIN!! BEHIND YOU- WATCH OUT!"
It was too late.
By the time Levi turned out and grabbed his blade- he was halfway inside the titan's mouth that jumped right at him.
This was the end.
Or so he thought.
Something grabbed the titan and pulled it away from Levi, ripping its nape off in one sharp bite and let out a loud roar.
A wolf?
"Is that..." Jean's eyes widened on seeing the creature go feral, killing every titan in harsh and fast swipes. It had dark fur, horrifying pointed teeth that stretched across its snout dangerously. Pointed ears and sharp claws with swift movements, it was annihilating like it had lost its mind.
"The beast titan?!!"
"Who the fuck inherited it?!!"
The beast looked ferocious, and dangerous. Insane.
Just killing more and more and more.
Its long tongue lolled out every time it roared.
It really did look insane,
But it hadn't touched Levi at all.
Neither let any titan touch him.
Levi could only watch as the beast massacred titans as fast as lightning.
Almost as if it was protecting him.
Doing it all for his sake.
"Who the.." Connie mumbled to himself, an utter confusion of emotions in his brain.
"Wait- look closely!!" Jean yelled out.
"Its got an extra pair of eyes!!"
"Could it be.."
The titan let out a loud roar after stomping and crushing out another six titans.
"Commander hange?!"
"So you are..."
"Hange Zoe."
"Yeah, what you said." Zeke continued building his little sand castle, not looking up. She and armin stood beside each other. The sky was filled with starts and the beautiful illumination of the co ordinates.
"Stop the rumbling. That's enough killing."
Hange said. "I can't. Eren betrayed me. Now I'm stuck here."  Zeke replied helplessly, "I can't do anything about it. I never accepted to genocide. Believe me."
"But this has to stop!! It isn't right!!" Armin screamed. "Look, eren's friend. For as long as eren is in charge, I cannot do anything."
"Then what do we need to do to stop it?!"
"Kill him."
Hange's eyes grew wide on zeke's answer.
"You need to kill him."
"For as long as eren is alive, the rumbling won't stop. He can control everything because he has founder ymir by his side. The least I can do on my behalf...
Is hand my powers over." Zeke stood up.
" Commander Hange." He looked at her. "I wish to bestow the abilities to you."
Hange stayed quiet.
"If I do so, my royal blood will no longer be useful for eren. And the powers will not go waste either. You and eren's friend-"
"Armin-"
"Yeah whatever that is- you both will return to the normal world. Go back and stop the war. Stop eren. I believe in both of you... you are the brains of humanity. I'm sure you can strategize and stop this.
Do you agree to it, Commander?"
Hange took a deep breath.
"Yes, I agree to it.
Lend me your strength.
I will inherit the beast...
And I will stop eren.
I will stop this war."
"Very well so." Zeke shook hands with her, and looked at armin. "Good luck to both of you."
"Also- sorry to have almost killed your boyfriend."
"Wha-? He isn't my boyfriend- but I'm not quite going to forgive you."
"It's fine with me."
"Just go out there and stop eren. I'd be more at peace if that happens rather than your forgiveness. "
"Let's go, hange san."
The titan made sure that other titans were at bay as it gently picked up Levi in its paws.
So gentle, almost as if it immediately forgot that it had killed so many titans with so much rage.
Levi groaned as he lay motionless on its paws, trying to tilt his head and look at the titan, vision blackening out every few seconds.
He managed to catch a glimpse of concern in its eyes.
Even the extra pair of eyes.
"Four eyes..-" he whispered hoarsely and absentmindedly, letting his eyes close and exhaustion take over. Inside the flesh on the nape, hange sighed to herself softly. If it was for to make sure that the war will be stopped and levi will be safe, she would come back a hundred times over.
The titan now looked up and pointed at the sky. Everyone followed the direction.
A huge bird flew across the sky, swooping down to come and get them.
Gabi, Annie, and falco.
Hange broke free from the titan's nape, dark red titan marks running down from under her eyes. Steam was emitting from her left eye.
"Hurry!!" Her voice boomed loudly, addressing everyone. With so much hope and sense of leadership, all over again.
"Get onto the titan!! We have a plan to stop this rumbling!! For now- get on!"
Falco swooped down and everyone got onto him quickly. Hange jumped down, taking Levi with herself and got on too as falco flew them away from the founding titan. Levi was half conscious, blood smeared on his chin which hange gently wiped off with her thumb. He turned his head to look at her. "Four eyes..-? What is going on... am I hallucinating..? Are you seriously here..?"
"I'm really here, Levi." She held his hand assuringly.
"Does that mean- Zeke...-"
"Dead, yes. I inherited the beast. Try not to kill me, please. " She chuckled, and he just grumbled. But now- he was filled with hope.
Hange was back.
That was all he truly needed.
"I can't... how-?.." Jean stuttered.
"Doesn't matter a lot. Zeke negotiated with armin and m-"
"Is armin alright?!" Mikasa's voice interrupted.
"He's fine. No need to worry." Hange replied. "We can stop the rumbling now. We're a team, right? We're the fuckin' survey corps. We can do this." She smiled. "The Royal blood is no longer useful. We've made a plan to stop this... let's work together."
"Yeah!! Let's stop the rumbling!!" Jean boomed, and Connie followed. All of them were filled with hope and aspiration.
Their hange was back.
They can do this.
Nothing could stop them now.
Especially when Hange was at lead.
"Hange.." Levi called hoarsely; and she looked at him. "I'm sorry.. to let go of you.. I'm an asshole.. I can't believe I let go of you so easily... I'm- sorry..."
Hange only smiled, and held him close to herself- supporting him or so she claimed, but she only wanted to assure him and hold him close.
"Don't worry about it.. it's the past now. I'm here with you, that's all that matters. And I'm never leaving again." Levi nodded, leaning into her and letting himself thank heavens that this miracle had to happen and bring her back. Hange looked across the horizon, ready to explain the plan to everyone.
"We're going to stop this war... we'll put an end to it."
