I wish we would discuss alterous attraction more. The simple fact is: human attraction is so complex and diverse. It's so much more than sex, romance, and platonics. I constantly find myself falling short of words to describe what I feel. I constantly find myself isolated in attraction conversations because I very much do experience attraction, love, and the feeling of being "in love," but it's uncomfortable how frequently I see myself falling between the cracks when it comes to conversations about attraction and love because of how isolated my experience seems. It feels like no matter where I turn, whether in the queer or non-queer communities, I can't find myself. Not only am I lost in these conversations, but I find that people aren't listening. People choose to half hear me out and decide what my feelings are themselves and put them in their own, "much simpler" boxes. I get told I'm just making things complicated, I'm just confused, I'm too confusing... Just once, I'd like to see my love understood and valued like all the common loves so many people experience are. I love hard. Love is very important to me and my identity. I don't even know how to describe how over the moon I'd be if I could see conversations and poems and stories about the love I experience

Happy aromantic spectrum awareness week!

Hello everyone! So since it's officially aro week (a bit late but whatever) I thought it'd be cool to make some content about aromanticism and give some information about it ^^

Before we start, happy aro week to all of my arospec folks and allies who support us through it all. I love you all so much ❤

So, what is Aromanticism?

Aromanticism is a romantic orientation where the individual experiences little to almost no romantic attraction or desire. The term is also often shortened to 'Aro' to refer to people who are aromantic. The opposite to the term is 'Alloromantic', which describes a person who does experience romantic attraction/desires. Aromanticism is a spectrum, and individuals have adopted other more specific labels, such as Aroflux (romantic attraction fluctuates in intensity), Greyromantic (romantic attraction rarely experienced), Demiromantic (romantic attraction only happens when a strong bond has been formed), Aegoromantic (doesn't feel romantic attraction, but likes the idea of romance) and many more that is simply too much to name.

Flag meaning

The first aromantic flag was published by the National Coalition for aromantic visibility in the early 2010s.

Green: aromanticism

Yellow: platonic love and friendship, because yellow roses represent friendship

Orange: symbolizes lithromanticism because it's between red and yellow

Black: represents a variety of people who fall within a grey-aromantic range.

The flag was later changed as it left out some arospec identities, closely resembled the Rastafarian flag and had a stripe including alloromantics

The current aromantic flag was made by Cameron Whimsy on 2014. The stripes are as follows:

Green: aromantic spectrum

White: friendship and platonic love

Grey and black: sexuality spectrum

Green is chosen as it's the opposite of red, the color mostly associated with romantic love, and the two shades of green were chosen to represent the aromantic sprectrum.

Other symbols

Arrows are commonly associated with the aromantic spectrum due to aromantic often being shortened to Aro, which is pronounced the same way

Spades are also used, as it's the opposite of hearts and is also associated with the aroace spectrum

A white ring is worn on the middle finger of the left hand (opposite of the black asexual ring)

History

The early online community of aromantic people formed on the Asexual Visibility & Education Network (AVEN) and other social media platforms on the year 2005.

Since then, a community centered around aromanticism was formed online of Arocalypse.com, as well as other social media platforms

To gain wider acceptance and recognition, the Aromantic-spectrum Union for Recognition, Education & Advocacy (AUREA) was formed. This was to increase education on aromanticism and help the aro-spec community gain wider acceptance by the general public. AUREA is also the leading organizer of Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week.

Hey so on zepeto I had some awareness ocs in 2021 that I absolutely adored and made content on all the time

Then they kind of became redundant, so for the last couple of days I've been remaking them in gacha life 2 and adding a few more features to them

So recently I watched a video by Fake Gamer Girl, an awesome YouTuber who covers a lot of games including sims, she made a vid about different occult sims she would like to be added (so like new monsters essentially) and I wrote a concept up rather quickly and posted it to her comment and to the sims 4 reddit page and it was an experience.

So after posting I thought nothing of until hours later I look and see the post was taken down so I look at the message saying I was “self promoting” now as far as I’m aware I’m not Sarah Rosebud - the faker gamer girl so I reach out and say basically that.

Another message comes through…

Can you see it? My post had NOTHING to do with rape! This succubus concept I shat out in one sitting had gameplay options for platonic succubi for aero and/or ace sims! I said nothing about forcing or manipulating anyone to do anything sexual! As I point out vampires and mermaids canonically in there original myths do that shot yet they are in the game which is a 12 rating!

I also have NO involvement with any kind of mod team, that is very apparent if you read the post

In the end, the mod got back and was reasonable with me and even complimented my post (despite me being a bit of brat to him as you can see, and I apologised since I was only playing around)

I marked it 18+ (begrudgingly) and removed the link to the comments (begrudgingly)

Rad Queer: What is it and why is it bothering me so much?

This post contains many things I have had on my mind for several weeks now. Am I nervous to publish it? Yes, but I cannot let the thoughts of this nag at me any longer than they already have, because I worry if nobody says something, then nothing will change and this will be allowed to continue. This post will contain many, many triggering subjects, but I am not going to censor myself for I feel that I must be clear about what is happening right under our noses as a platform. A community that I fear may easily get out of hand if allowed to continue to grow on Tumblr as a platform: the “Rad Queer” community.

Under the cut contains many of my findings about this community and how I believe they can go on to effect people further if they are not talked about more. I’m doing this from an anonymous stance for my own safety, as I worry about causing strife for both myself and those around me on my main account. Please respect this and know there will be no mentions of my main account, nor specific users mentioned as not to send hate mobs. I do not condone nor support such actions and instead wish to raise awareness for something that I feel has been going on for far too long.

Please keep in mind that if you are not prepared to read talk of Z//0//0//philia, P//3//d//0//philia, and other such p//a//r//a//hilias, please simply reblog this post and do not keep reading. Do not damage yourself and instead show your support in other ways. Thank you in advanced.

The name “Rad Queer” feels misleading to me as a queer person myself. They claim radical inclusivity, something that sounds promising to anyone, but the further I discovered, the further I felt concerned for those involved with this community. Their inclusivity often includes those with p//a//r//a//philias that are considered “taboo” and even, in a lot of cases, illegal in many places.

Many of them call for support of these groups, noting that people cannot control their attractions and many of them can be mentally ill and have intrusive thoughts. However, they fail to realize that immoral intrusive thoughts does not make someone an abuser. Nor should it be common to consider people with these intrusive thoughts as being somehow under the same label as these abusers. What these people fail to realize is that, on Tumblr, we are anonymous. We are not required to tell you everything about ourselves to a “T” like on other social media. Acting like we can come together as a support community for these people who do struggle with these thoughts or people who have these urges is optimistic at best, but extremely flawed. Anonymous support groups of Tumblr should not serve as a reasonable replacement for real world therapy designed to help these struggling individuals.

Not to mention, a large part of this community I have witness publicly claim to be minors. Encouraging minors to support these groups terrifies me, especially with how many I’ve seen note and consider themselves “AAMs,” which stands for “adult-attracted minors.” Many of them are still too young and unaware of how harmful this could be to their safety. There are many members of the Rad Queer movement who very audibly support p//e//d//o//philia and even openly talk about those desires that they have. By openly expressing their support of these individuals and even openly inviting them into a space that has many minors who call themselves AAMs, they’re being taught that it’s okay to let these abusers into their spaces and this can so easily lead to them getting abused by these people.

This is so much more than the same pointless queer discourse you’ve heard over and over, because what’s at stake here is the safety of actual minors in a group that seems to be, from my perspective, beginning to spread in secret. Especially when so much code is being used. Many of them make use of emoji codes, to which I tracked down a list of these to share in this post and have compiled in an Imgur album for reference and exposure to keep an eye out on. I have also compiled an album of screenshots of other statements I witnessed in their tags, URLs redacted. There should not be encouragement of these groups to be allowed to vocally happen on this platform and we should not allow it to be acceptable and should be allowed to speak out on it when we see it.

It shouldn’t have to be controversial that I believe that z//0//0//philes, p//3//d//0//philes, and other such groups shouldn’t be lumped in with the queer community in this way. They do not need this type of open support for urges they cannot control, especially not from a community that openly talks about these p//a//r//a//hilias and urges that they have in a fanatical way as it will only encourage it more.

If you’re a minor currently taking part in this community and reading this post, I highly encourage you to realize that this community is not one built on intentions of good and will only harm you in the long run. Even if many of the members of this community are themselves victims of abuse, this is still not right. Tumblr is not an alternative for therapy. If you are having these urges, seek help, but not on here. On an anonymous platform like this, there is nothing stopping someone from repeating the cycle of your abuse. These people cannot help you the same way a professional can and never will be able to replace that. Especially when there can be members of your own community there who have nothing but bad intentions for you.

So Pride in my city is second weekend of July this year. Don't know why, but meh...ANYWAYS,

My husband (who is bi) and I are going. We have purposely made plans to take our niece (14) (bi) and nephew (13) (trans) for that weekend.

My sister is like, "don't take them to pride..they are too young for that", then goes off deadnaming my nephew and telling my niece it is just a phase and that she is too young to know what she is.

Ohh I can't wait to see the look on my sisters face when they come back with stuff from the event.

Bonnie And Clyde (1967): Greatest asexual love story ever told?

I know that Pride Month is almost over and I am not asexual myself (I don’t think).  But for my asexual friends out there who love old cinema and craving some good rep, I think you would enjoy Bonnie And Clyde. Because it has a remarkable portrayal of a relationship between people with different types of sexual attraction even if not intended.  Here are some moments that I think shows honest and genuine deceptions of asexuality:

Warren Betty’s Clyde first met Faye Dunaway’s Bonnie in the course of a car jacketing and bank robbery at the start of the film.  Bonnie is visually turn on by Clyde and promptly try to seduce him in her own mother’s car.  However,  Clyde is quick to remove himself from her grasp and commented that “he is not one of her lover boy.” Throughout the film after this moment, Bonnie continues to try and advance beyond kissing and cuddling, which Clyde rejects, reiterating that he's not "a lover boy". Bonnie becomes confused and frustrated, eventually screaming, "Only special thing about you is your peculiar ideas about lovemakin'--which is no love makin' at all!” 

When Bonnie tries to straddle him for sex after spending quite a time together,  Clyde recoils. He tries to explain that, "Look, I don't do that. It's not that I can't--it's just that I don't see no percentage in it. I mean there’s nothin' wrong with me, I don't like boys". She tries to leave, accusing him of being a tease, but he urges her to still consider a relationship with him anyway, saying "If all you want's stud service, then get on back to West Dallas and stay there the rest of your life...we both want different things"

When asked by his brother Buck (played by Gene Hackman) about his sex life with Bonnie,  Clyde lies and  sheepishly calls her a good lay

By the film's end, Clyde is convinced to have sex with Bonnie (It's implied that it's his first time). His response: Hey, listen, Bonnie, how do you feel? I mean you feel like you're s'posed to feel after you've uh...Well, I figger it's a good idea to ask. I mean how else do I tell if I did it the way..."

Be it imparted by your religion, culture, or personal belief it is in the end simple fear. And just like a child being afraid of the dark, or the monster in the closet so you are afraid of us. Because to you we are the devil giving you nightmares, we are the powers and principalities opposing your angels. But in the end, when you look in the closet we aren’t there, when you look under the bed all you see are the toys you shoved under it. In the end we are not your monster, your satan, your demon.

She's not just a tr*nsph*be but also a radfem on the side and absolutely hates male characters, she even killed off her main black oc's dad just because he doesn't like the idea of "straight couples working out" then writes about how the death caused permanent trauma for the girl and her mom. Like WHA HUH??

And btw please don't comment on her page or Insta OR her Tumblr, just report them. She loves the attention that's why it's good we report her content so she's banned and cannot post more.
