"Red is the color of a rose, our love, your hair, and my heart. Red is the color of HER. Your painted lips. My work of art." 👩❤️👩 Nothing to see here! Just girls thinking of girls. ✨️ Can't believe it took me THIS long to realize I haven't drawn these two baddies. 'trans men can be lesbian' are you a trans man. genuinely asking cuz uhhh...
anyways id like to say that trans men are men. men.
im going by nonbinary now as of like late ish march this year, but as somebody who identified with being a trans man for 4 years with only one gap of thinking i was genderfluid to try and appease internalized shit, we're men. cant be lesbian.
'well they have a connection to womanhoo-' thats transphobic but alr.
'well history says-' well history SAID that eugenics was good once or twice, does that mean all nazis and shit are valid or like???
trans MEN cant, trans MASCS can. get your shit right.

Maybe I'm just autistic but I feel like a lot of infighting on this website can be boiled down to "I read a thing a person said about xyz discourse topic and here are all the secret implied messages that person is REALLY saying and by exposing the secret hidden meaning i have proven that people on side x of xyz are evil liars that support the devil" and like. idk man i think acting like everything is a coded message isn't the most helpful. y'know. maybe. maybe treating everything as a matter of ulterior motives doesn't say anything about the other side of the argument but just your own cognitive biases and what you already believe. maybe taking people's words in good faith and asking questions about the things you don't understand, or that don't mesh with how you understand the world, or that fly in the face of known research and facts is good. maybe we should do that instead of ascribing hidden meaning to human people on the internet with beliefs that are different than yours, even when they are flawed or expressed badly, like they are works of fiction up to interpretation.

Just saw this on Quora and wtf:
I may not like Madoka Magica(and in fact anyone who follows me for long enough will know that I hate that anime with a burning passion), but even so that still doesn't make comments like this okay.
I am so tired of people acting like lesbianism(and non-straight identities in general but in this case we're talking about lesbians) is inherently sexual, deviant, and inappropriate. These are the same type of people who think that kids can't be gay or even be told about the possibility of homosexuality because it will groom their young minds or something, as if being gay is something you're groomed into being. And I am sick of people acting like a character can't be gay/lesbian because it doesn't fit their personality or because they're a child or because they're "innocent" or some stupid-ass shit like you're just reinforcing the idea that straight is the default and that straight is morally more pure and "normal" and acceptable than being gay. I bet Larry Koopa doesn't care if a kid the same age as or younger than Madoka(who is 14) is portrayed as straight, because to them that's not inherently sexual the way that being gay is. But a kid being gay? Now don't you think that's going a little bit too far?
This person definitely thinks that all lesbians are mean and hateful and bitter, probably because they measure a woman's level of decency in accordance to how attracted to men they are(which is how we got that ugly fucking "mean bisexual, even meaner lesbian" joke in the first place).
I agree with Peyton Peyons. Madoka is a lesbian, end of story, and nobody gives a shit whether you want to call her your waifu or not, because she doesn't even know you exist. Get out of her, dawg.

I totally get gendered petnames like dude, sis, bro, and whatever else, and I get why some people might be confused as to why some trans people might take issue with a petname you might think is neutral. However, I do want people to remember that trans people often have different relationships with those petnames because they're gendered, and they might be uncomfortable with those connotations. A trans woman who doesn't want you to call her "dude" is probably not doing it to anger or accuse you of anything, but she might just have a negative relationship with that word.
I get that it can be hard to change habits, but it is worth it to include trans people. If a trans person in your life asks you not to use certain words, I promise they aren't trying to fuck you over or make you feel like you're under attack. They are just expressing a boundary - one that cis people also express.

i want stories about autistic queers and morally grey queers who make mistakes and have actual character flaws and queers of colour and physically disabled queers and loveless acearos. give me stories about queer people with mental illnesses other than cookie-cutter media portrayals of depression and anxiety that can be “fixed” by a love interest. give me queer people with tourette’s and DID. give me intersex people who struggle with their identity after years of being told they’re cis. give me fat queers. give me drag kings and queens who feel like they can only be themselves in gay bars. give me chronically ill queers and trans characters who don’t want to physically transition and nonbinary characters who use neopronouns.
i want queer stories that make cishet people uncomfortable. i want queer characters who aren’t just copy and pasted from every other queer character for representation points. i want queer characters who are people.
