does anyone else get the feeling that so many non-trans TRAs defend trans ideology so hard because they’re actually also struggling with the cognitive dissonance of their flawed beliefs, so the only way to quell any doubts they may have about it is to resort to violently defending this ideology and attacking anyone who dares to criticize it, as like some sort of defense mechanism of their own mind? like inherently they know none of what they believe makes any sense, but they can’t admit that to themselves because that would make them a transphobe, right-wing conservative, or, god forbid, a TERF!!! so they HAVE to overcorrect by aggressively defending it, as a way of making it make sense to themselves. they’ll repeat the thought-stopping mantra of “trans women are women” even if they don’t fully believe it, they’ll say they don’t mind being called cis, they’ll say they don’t mind trans women in their bathrooms and changing rooms and sports and call anyone else who doesn’t believe or condone those things transphobic to make themselves feel better about their own cognitive dissonance on the topic. Like I swear this is how so many TRAs have been swept up and held hostage by this ideology. By aggressively ignoring their own warning signals and forcing themselves to move past their discomfort and misgivings about biological men pretending to be women in their spaces, sports, dating pool, etc, as a way of showing the world how good of a liberal they are, despite what they may actually know deep down but just won’t admit out loud. it’s like that saying, lie to yourself enough times and you’ll actually start to believe it.

It's also funny that in Victoria 2, if you play as a developing nation outside of the great powers (say, Argentina) and if you implement liberal laissez faire economics, your economy goes to absolute shit. The only good way to play Victoria 2 is with state capitalism or a command economy, because otherwise the invisible hand of the market screws you.
If the Liberals get in charge of Argentina, it ruins the country for generations. 10/10 excellent realism.

looking back on it, I genuinely don't think the loonaverse is as complicated as Jaden and a lot of the theorist thought it was
Yeah and it's kind of embarrassing how much time I spent on it in retrospect. Something I talked about before. Though I am/was an avid reader of Jaden's blog and I know he knew about some complex ideas and he very intentionally wanted to inject those into the loonaverse (mainly audio technology, some heavy parts about LGBT, and collectivism), so I also don't think it's as surface level as people want to retroactively say out of bitterness - which tbh I do feel the urge to do a lot.

A Neo-liberalistic Nihilistic Manifesto
Tumblr media
Economic Policy meets Existential Despair
In this grim guide, we'll delve into the depths of neoliberalistic nihilism and explore the realities of navigating the market-driven hellscape. In this journey through the corners of capitalism, where the only certainty is uncertainty, and the only currency is cold, hard cash. History? A meaningless series of market fluctuations. Morality? A subjective construct hindering your consumption choices. Truth? Fungible and for sale to the highest bidder.
Step 1: Embrace the Market Abyss
In this wild west of capitalism, the invisible hand of the market reigns supreme, guiding through the chaos of supply and demand like a blindfolded stumbling through a minefield. Forget about regulations or ethical dilemmas – profit is the only compass you need. The market will definitely reward your...gestures vaguely...audacity with untold riches (or bankruptcy, but hey, it's all meaningless anyway). But in this world, failure is but a temporary setback, a stepping stone on the path to greater success. After all, what does it matter if we lose it all, if the game is all that matters?
Step 2: Find Meaning in Materialism
In this world devoid of inherent meaning, material possessions become our gods. So go ahead, splurge on that designer handbag or the latest iPhone – they're the closest thing to existential fulfilment money can buy. With each purchase, we are not only filling the void within, but also contributing to the great capitalist machine that powers our world. And in doing so, we are becoming the ultimate consumers, the apex predators of the consumerist jungle. Just ignore the sense of emptiness that creeps in when you realize that no amount of consumerism can fill the void within. So why not treat yourself to that dopamine rush you get from scoring those limited-edition drops? It's basically the same feeling as finding true happiness, only slightly less sustainable and much more expensive.
Step 3: Exploit, Exploit, Exploit
In the pursuit of profit, nothing is off-limits. Exploit cheap labor in developing countries? Check. Dodge taxes like a like a ship vanishing into fog? Double check. Destroy the environment faster than you can say "climate change is real"? Triple check. In the grand scheme of things, morals are just roadblocks on the way to wealth. "This all sounds so...unethical." And you're right. It is. But in the world of business, morals are just a luxury that only the weak can afford. So, if you want to make it to the top, you'd better be prepared to leave your conscience at the door. Who needs a clear conscience when you have a yacht? Or a private jet? Or a mansion on a hill?
Step 4: Rinse and Repeat
Congratulations, you're now a card-carrying member of the neoliberalistic nihilist club! But remember, the journey is never truly over. As you navigate the waters of late-stage capitalism, always keep one eye on the bottom line and the other on the abyss. Who knows, maybe one day you'll achieve true enlightenment – or at least a slightly bigger offshore bank account. Perhaps we will find the freedom we so desperately crave – or perhaps, more likely, we will find nothing at all.
Step 5: Await the End
Now all that remains is to await the inevitable collapse – the final unraveling of civilization as we know it. Embrace the pain, the anguish, the existential despair – for in the depths of suffering lies the only semblance of truth we will ever know. Let it wash over you like a tidal wave, drowning out the hollow echoes of consumerism and capitalist excess. For in the end, it is our suffering that defines us – not our fleeting moments of happiness or success.
Disclaimer: This is Satire. Repeat: "There is only the market, and the market is good..." (except when it isn't, but hey, that's the thrill of the gamble, right?).

I really think society as a whole needs to work on better deradicalization strategies. So far the one that works best for me is "relate [unreasonable hatred] to [thing you both don't like]", sort of like how conflict management works. It's not you vs me, it's you and me vs the problem. If you've got better ideas/strategies/studies drop em lol

even now the amber stans go on about how amber already won against johnny twice in court and it's such a blatant stupid lie, like how are you not embarrassed?
amber brought zero (0) lawsuits against johnny she didn't win shit, she didn't even sue him once.
they got divorced and she was a witness in a trial where unfortunately the sun won. stop twisting facts around.

tbh nothing more pathetic to me than seeing people try to reason with shows that vehemently fucking detest them or the idea that the audience can participate in the creation of meaning like simply put there are pieces of media actively hostile to their audience or at least huge parts of it because they were never the target or at most they were supposed to represent useful tools but never fully realised characters let alone representations of people lmfao like just wish they got a grip and talked more sincerely about the fact that you're being shown the true nature of someone through their media and wishing for better is gonna do jackshit if you keep engaging with the text only on a very surface level and just wishing it was what you wanted it to be, and specially when it comes to white creators they barely conceal the rot they wish everyone to partake in like idk how to explain to people that media doesn't summarize people but it gives you a good idea of their own beliefs and limitations

I hate the Danish government so much damn. I’ve never disliked a regering more than I do this one.. I was so happy the red wing (the socialist wing) won, but nah the Prime Minister decides to be more blue than red.. The red wing won, yet she made a regering with two blue parties. If I was a part of any of the other red parties I would be so angry (which I think they are?). The election was really recent, but I’m already looking forward to the next one, where I really hope there will be another candidate for Prime Minister from the red wing..

been rereading The Anatomy of Fascism by Robert Paxton-- great book by the way, should be required reading tbh-- and he stated that some of the elements that are generally necessary for fascism to proliferate in a country are polarization, deadlock, mass mobilization against internal and external enemies, and complicity from existing elites.
one can't help but think that's exactly what the U.S. is dealing with right now, and explains a lot about why fascist/fascist-adjacent political leaders are gaining so much traction. fascism does not take root in countries that are stable, and they take advantage of liberalist states (liberal in the more antiquated, non-American sense, the laissez-faire center-right type) that are completely breaking down and, due to its liberalist nature, cannot or does not actively fix its issues.
in addition, fascism also tends to get into the government because conservatives will almost always get into bed with fascists before ever considering allowing leftists to gain control of the government. leftism tends to become extremely popular during these periods as well, thus resulting in major polarization between leftism and fascism and conservatism, and conservatives will select fascists as partners in the misplaced assumption that they will be able to keep fascists leashed.

I'm a sorry cop. I mean I'm sorry but I can't be mean okay? I don't even know why the mean options are mean because I don't fucking understand half the words in there. Glad this game has voice acting because it would take me 9 years to read what you just said.

Ok so I have watched multiple videos on the history of Israel - Palestine and honestly? Go Israel.
The only thing I am not able to understand is, why is the whole world in the support of Palestine? Even Tumblr? (Yes the death of innocent people is bad but it's happening on both sides, why are they pretending that everyone in Israel lives in idk, rocket-proof luxury rooms?)
And people are purchasing books on history of Israel - Palestine, and still violently supporting Palestine. And not even seeing a shread of "blame" on them? :(
This is just an observation, but wherever muslims are in majority, they won't let the minority in peace, no matter what — they're not the “peaceful” community the world tries to show them as.
There is whole history on how they are ruthless, tyrants, who can not accept let alone tolerate another religion in their proximity.
I JUST don't know what will it take for the world to see the actual history and stop viewing Israel like The Evil Nation.
That’s a good question, but a very difficult one to answer.
As you’ve said, the information is out there in the open, available to anyone willing to put in the time to read and understand.
However, it takes a lot of mental effort to wrap one’s mind around the historical and geopolitical nuances of this conflict. As a result, it’s definitely less of a mental burden to get information from reading headlines, reading tweets, and watching TikToks.
Of course the information isn’t always accurate, and if someone absorbs news from these sites that all have the same bias, they’ll be inclined to think a certain way. But even still, it’s digestible, and why put in the work to make informed opinions of the subject when these smaller, bite-sized pieces of info are being spoon-fed to you easily?
You can tell people to “educate themselves”until the cows come home, but the chances of them actually going to read up more are pretty slim. After all, it’s more comfortable and safe to maintain your opinion than actively seek out information that challenges your point of view.
That aside, I think the Israel-Palestine conflict in particular has elicited, or rather, uncovered a very worrying hypocrisy and double-standard, and caused a rise in antisemitism that’s alarmingly reminiscent of 1940s Europe.
Those who support Hamas claim to be on the side of “human rights” and “protecting the innocent”, yet turn a blind eye to or rejoice at the slaughter of innocent children.
They present this issue as intersectional with other liberalist movements such as feminism and LGBTQ+ rights, yet Hamas rapes and parades the naked bodies of women around to publicly humiliate them, and calls the LGBT community “sinners” that will be “punished by Allah”, and refuses to allow any LGBT person on Palestinian soil.
Yes, it is baffling to see people defend a terrorist group that has such fundamentally incompatible ideologies with them, and would kill them on sight. Normally I wouldn’t just tell them to go to Palestine if they like it so much, but if they can’t see the irrationality of their own beliefs themselves, if they can’t see that their parroted platitudes are of no use and don’t make them immune or exempt from the hate-filled violence of Hamas, then maybe going there to see for themselves is perhaps the only solution.
So maybe there isn’t anything that can be done, unfortunately. It’s very telling that many pro-Israel accounts are sent hate mail daily, and instead of being presented with the opportunity for discourse on the complicated subject, it’s just crusty anons calling for the end of Israel and telling them to kill themselves for supporting Israel.
If someone calls for your death, then there’s little to nothing that can be done anymore to have a rational discussion. All you can do is stay safe and stay informed, and don’t stoop to their level because they’ll use that as ammunition against you to justify calling for your death.
Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱
