All-American XIII was a volume in Bruce Weber's annual survey of American legends. That year's theme was "speak up" and features an eclectic array of activists and actors, musicians and writers, newcomers and veterans who proudly share their unique - and out-spoken - visions. After all, free speech and diverse opinions are integral parts of the nation's heritage. This book is a tribute to all those who stand up to share their stories with the world - inspiring, entertaining - and at times challenging us. One thing is certain: when these compelling individuals speak up, you just have to listen.

there is a plethora of good x-files fanfics out there and i've just started to develop the problem of reading a very good one and not being able to find it again. because of this - and because all of these are genuinely novel worthy and the writers are INSANELY talented - i've decided to compile a list of some of my absolute favorites. some of these are from ao3 & some of them i found on other websites, such as x-libris and the gossamer project. i hope you enjoy these as much as i did and do. they mean the world to my romantic heart.
incrementum by lepusarcticus (explicit) - this was the first x-files fanfic i ever remember reading. i was trying desperately not to spoil the show for myself and i found out that this fic followed along the narrative, which was a godsend. i got the best of both worlds: a delectable, angsty passionate mulder/scully fic (in which they fucked from day 1) and no spoilers. it was so so so so fun reading this alongside watching the show. this writer is brilliant
omens by lepusarcticus (explicit) - i was not lying when i said this writer is brilliant. this entire thing reads like a novel and i could not for the life of me put it down when i stumbled upon it. its angsty and interesting, and could very well be another episode of the x-files because the case mulder and scully are one is so compelling. it is not easy feat to write something this good. chris carter, eat your heart out
triptych by iconicscullyoutfits (not rated but i'd say mature) - THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. i can't speak highly enough about this one. its an au where mulder is married to diana fowley when he meets scully. its so so so so amazing. like i'd very well call this literature because it expanded my mind (i learned a great deal from this, especially from the chapter ice). i think diana was a very interesting character and i feel as though this fic treats her with the interest she deserves. the writing in this one is simply insane too - i'm envious of it and so so so in love with it.
love in all the wrong places by sisterspooky1013 (explicit) - mulder and scully accidentally have cybersex with each other while trying out online dating group chats. what more can i say? (also i applaud this author for making mulder's online handle allshookup61. that's so fucking mulder)
universal invariants (set from 1 to early season 2) and its sequel, laws of motion (set season 5) (both explicit) by syntax6 - these both hold such a special place in my heart. it is an au that takes on the idea that scully's bf (who was cut from the pilot, never to see the light of day) stays in the picture and there when dana starts working with fox. universal invariants makes me want to weep to because dana and fox are both so young and earnest and stupid! and laws of motion is great because they're still stupid but they're wiser about it. this is very dana and fox. i love, love, love the parts of universal invariants that cover dana's abduction arc. god these are GOOD.
arizona highways by fialka (explicit) - if you're one of those girlies who really likes an x-files episode that has a lot of case-file and scully going on, this one is FOR you. it is angsty in the worst of ways, covering more of what we see in the episodes christmas carol and emily. this is another one that i would call a novel, both in length and content. it is great and it is a very good dive into the character of scully and how she handles problems in her life
heart's desire by malibusunset (explicit) - this another really great scully-focused fic, where mulder is being a bit of an ass - as he is prone to - but she makes him come to his senses accidentally. i love a good jealous mulder and i love it even more when scully isn't exactly aware she's making him that way. this is so good that i stayed up an entire night reading it. you should too!
the guts / the incision / cauterize by wtfmulder (not all of the chapters are explicit but i would call this explicit in general) - this one is so fucking angsty it made me ache incredibly. it is a sucker punch to the gut that only the lovers (or rather, dedicated haters) of the diana/fox/dana situationship can truly appreciate. also, if you like your mulder a bit of an ass (i do! i think he really can be! i think its good to talk about!) this author is for you!!!
doorway to gods by wtfmulder (explicit) - a fic where mulder & scully go investigate a supposed portal to other dimensions shortly after scully recovers from cancer, and they both find themselves in separate hellish alternative universes where other mulder & scullys aren't doing so well. this is angsty, TOP TIER angsty. some of the scenes from this i think about often still and i read this a month ago. also this is hot. i can't not mention that small fact
the tiger complex by longgunguy (i'd say r for graphic violence but no sex or anything) - i'll be real, there isn't a whole lot of mulder/scully romance in this thing, aside from the a hand hold and a lot of quiet affection but this IS the x-files. in another world, this fic is an episode and it is brutal. you'll be biting your nails as you make your way through this one. its got a great cast of original characters and an incredible case-file, up there with an episode like ice.

The university library is dead—classes aren’t in session and things are slow. The afternoon summer sun streams through the building’s tall windows, illuminating the dust motes that dance in the golden light. The faint rustle of papers turning is the only sound filling the idle air other than you and your coworker’s chatting at the circulation desk.
“No, I’m telling you there’s no good guys to date here. They’re all either emotionally unavailable or terrible in bed… or both,” your friend Selena gripes. She’s exasperated by the most recent of her flings ghosting her after their last hookup.
Swirling your iced coffee, you roll your eyes. “Well maybe you need to expand your dating pool, there’s more out there than just twenty-something guys who spend all their time in the gym.” You grin knowingly at your friend—she definitely has a type.
She throws an elbow at you. “Hey! Not all of us are into girls and men old enough to be our dads! Speaking of which…” she cuts off, wiggling her perfect eyebrows at you.
“Excuse me,” a deep voice calls from behind your back, “is there a librarian I can speak to about reserving my course materials?” The voice’s vowels lilt and come together like sand being molded by an ocean wave, powerful yet graceful—it’s a voice that could warm you in sunny, shallow waters or drown you in a raging storm.
All but choking on your coffee, you spin to face the front desk. Standing on the other side of the counter is the most handsome man you think you’ve ever seen: copper skin, white teeth, and dark eyes stand atop a crisp linen shirt rolled up to reveal thick, strong forearms. Pale, silvered scars crisscross his skin, glinting in the light, making him look equally dangerous and enticing, like a trap baited with everything you’ve ever wanted.
Shit, he could get me in a lot of trouble… and I’d let him. You clear your throat, doing your best to recover with at least some of your dignity intact—a difficult task when the absolute god of a man before you just heard that you’re definitely into men his age.
Selena, however, beats you to an answer. “Yes, sir, that would be my coworker here,” she answers in a sing-song voice, “she’s more than happy to help you with anything you need.” You shoot her a dirty look as she flounces away back to her desk in the back, her attitude completely unapologetic.
Being the flirt you are, you did fully intend to hit on this handsome professor, but that’s not the point. Rallying your thoughts, you flash him a dazzling smile. “Yes, I certainly am,” you confirm. “What can I do for you, professor…?” Your voice trails off in anticipation of his response, and you catch the dark gleam in his coffee-colored eyes.
“Fett, Boba Fett. Professor of Mandalorian studies,” he answers smoothly, his rich timbre confident and unphased by you and Selena’s antics.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, professor,” you respond, matching his blithe tone. You introduce yourself with your name and title as the research materials librarian.
He smirks, flicking his eyes over your frame in a casual, yet interested, way. “I assure you, the pleasure is all mine.” When his eyes meet yours again, they flicker with amber fire, bright and tempting.
You let his compliment hang in the sunlit air between you for a moment, gauging whether he too felt the electric connection buzzing between you two. Judging by the glint in his eye and quirk of his lips, he did.
Game on. “Well, usually faculty submit their materials for purchase and reservation at the end of the previous school year or at the beginning of the summer session,” you inform him with an overly patronizing tone. “But I suppose I can make an exception for you since you’re being so polite.” You end your statement with a wink, inviting him in to test the waters.
Taking your hint, he leans his muscled arms on the high lip of the desk, bringing himself closer into your space. “You’re too kind. Things have been a little difficult since I’m new to the school and wasn’t in the country until last week… and I’d really appreciate your help, princess.” The pet name rolls off his tongue like spiced honey, hot and sweet.
Your brows arch up and you run your tongue over teeth behind your lips as you consider the handsome professor. Most men you meet are either too intimidated or too stupid to give you a fair fight, but this Boba Fett… he might just be the one. Without saying much, he’s said it all: true power doesn’t need to be defended because it speaks for itself. His innate confidence makes your stomach tighten and your blood run hot—this is going to be even more fun than you first thought. “Why don’t you come into my office and I can see what all I can do for you, Professor Fett,” you offer with a flirty smile.
“Please,” he entreats with a saccharine smile, “call me Boba.”

Evil Undead, revisited
As a veteran GM, I feel that kids these days complain more about the brute fact or moral law of Evil Undead in D&D or similar games, and I get questions from people wanting to use necromancy for good purposes like having tireless skeletons plow a field. Shouldn't that make up for the [Evil] tag on spells like Animate Dead? Why is that tag there, anyway?
With a caveat that "Undead" in fantasy is a kinda vague category which can reasonably have some special cases and cosmological exceptions like repentant ghosts, here's an attempt at describing how "core" undead like skeletons and vampires still count as evil and can be smote with Smite Evil, and making them is evil even if the necromancer has good intent in contemporary terms. This is mostly written with reference to D&D 3.5, which I like for its SRD, but the principles can be used elsewhere.
TL;DR: Making undead is like a faustian bargain but with Death instead of Mephisto, and every hand you lend to Death in the world is a corrupting influence even if you get something good from it.
The TLDR is inaccurate because the implicit contract is with the negative energy plane instead of a demon or avatar. Now for the long version:
In the example of the plowing skeletons, the questioning wizard is presumably treating the plowed field as an end and the skeletons as a means to that end - he's not doing necromancy for its own sake.
So he could cut out the necromancy part. He could use Animate Objects instead of Animate Dead, and make the plow move itself. (Or build a golem, but that's another story.) But notice that Animate Objects is a higher level spell than Animate Dead, as well as being temporary. Making it permanent requires another high-level spell. Wizards (and D&D players) are prone to optimizing towards Animate Dead, because it seems to be an easier and better way to achieve the desired effect.
But why does this lower level spell work better? My answer is that when casting Animate Dead, something else is providing much of the power, and that "something else" is the Negative Energy Plane. It is the plane of annihilating everything that exists, and is not on your team. You should not be contracting with it for power. Casting Animate Dead is evil because it's teaming up with an omnicidal maniac in cosmological form.
The Negative Energy Plane is arguably not strictly speaking able to power anything, because it's negative. It's a convenient shorthand to speak of "negative energy" when referring to a drain on positive energy. An undead creature produced by Animate Dead or a similar spell contains a tiny portal-conduit to the Negative Energy Plane through which light and life and heat are sucked out of the world (=negative energy flowing in) powering a magic "turbine" that makes the undead go.
Some advanced undead creatures have the power or fine control to weaponize this conduit, thus the various life-drain and energy-drain abilities possessed by vampires and wraiths and such. Different undead have different configurations and need to feed on the living more or less often, while others get by with environmental drain. Even the environmental ones can be deadly in large quantities. The Libris Mortis splatbook hints at this, and I've taken some of my inspiration from a discussion thread on that book:
Tumblr media
This has a bunch of fun implications that match up with other narrative roles of undead and horror tropes. That crypt (haunted) which seems unusually cold? Undead are sucking the heat out. Candles suddenly blowing out? Undead!
Even though the minor drain of a skeleton doesn't amount to hit-point-damage on the scale of combat-time (the usual metric of D&D effects), it's still a creature that leaks negative energy/sucks the life out of its surroundings. Using that to plow your field is a bad idea.
That's an immediate and practical impact; in a high fantasy setting you can get more fantastic about it. Perhaps the tiny negative-energy conduits in regular undead also serve as windows for necromancers and negative-energy-beings to look on the living world, or worse, perhaps the portal is two-way. A skeleton contains a tiny hole in the planar fabric through which The Unmaker can reach, whether to affect the world directly or to seize control of the undead.
Note: your players may still insist on trying to find a utilitarian use for this sort of life-draining undead, like a haunted refrigerator that stays cold because the ghosts are sucking the heat out of it. If they're insistent, I suggest saying "Yes, but" instead of "No", and then run with the fun implications and second-order effects of binding a dozen ghosts just to store food (obviously one ghost won't cool it enough) and what normal people will think of the Superhaunted Doomfridge. Maybe the paladins will send a complaint letter. Your PCs are Good enough that the paladins will send a letter rather than showing up to Smite Fridge immediately, right? ;-)
And now I'm imagining the Paladin Job Board posting, with the headline saying "Destruction of Evil Artifact" in big letters and the fact of "it's a fridge" in the small print.

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you to @the-reading-lemon for tagging me over on my main blog and also for encouraging me to get back into fic writing in the first place ❤️
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
A humble five! Though I plan on writing many more.
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
158,634, of which 112,023 belong to Ex libris
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, I just write for House of the Dragon, though I do have a couple of unfinished Gallifrey fics (and a few more that are unpublished) that I really do want to continue some day.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
I only have five, but in order they are: Ex libris, Salt and Smoke, Office Hours, Causal Sequence and Stress Fractures
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Generally speaking I do not, though not because I’m not grateful for them! I have checking OCD, which I’m still trying to understand and develop coping strategies for, and unfortunately one of the ways it manifests is repeatedly checking emails, messages, texts, etc. to make sure that I haven’t ‘done something wrong’. It might sound dramatic, but it usually takes me a day to recover from the anxiety spike of just posting a chapter and I don’t have the energy to also deal with the repeat compulsions I would have if I responded to comments too, especially as I feel that if I respond to one, I should respond to all! Instead, I like to leave a note at the beginning of each chapter to let everyone know how much their comments mean. I really wish I could engage more, but currently this is what I can cope with!
In the last year, I’ve only responded to one comment and that was because I found the tone of it rude and upsetting and I wanted to let the author of the comment know.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Bold of you to assume I’ve finished a fic. Currently the one with the angstiest content is probably Salt and Smoke, though I promise the ending will have a happy note!
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Again, not finished, but I think Ex libris will have by far the happiest ending - after all, we all know Corlys and Rhaenys are married with two children at the start of House of the Dragon!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really. I have the best readers ever and I get such joy from seeing both familiar names and new ones in my comments! I’ve only received one bit of hate thus far, which I think is pretty good innings.
9. Do you write smut?
I do indeed! My smuttiest one thus far is my modern AU for Corlys and Rhaenys, Office Hours, though there is a sex scene in Salt and Smoke and I have plenty of scenes up my sleeve for distant chapters of Ex libris and future fics too ;)
10. Do you write crossovers?
Not really, other than some oneshot AUs I have planned - Corlys and Rhaenys as Han and Leia, for example.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I’m aware! I only started writing fic again about a year ago, so maybe it’s a bit early for fic theft. I have had my art stolen though!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I haven’t, though I would consider it the absolute highest honour! I’m a translator myself (German to English) and I know how much love, time, and brain power translation takes, so if it ever were to happen, I would be the happiest fic author out there!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Other than plotting out an elaborate HP fic with my best friend when I was 11? Not really, though Office Hours came about after throwing some AU scenarios around with my friends, so they definitely helped inspire that one.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Currently it is obviously Corlys x Rhaenys, but I’ve adored Han x Leia for as long as I can remember. Twelve x Missy also dragged me back on to this website, so definitely have to give them kudos for that.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
About 10 years ago I made a very basic Romulan conlang for a school project and, while I was doing that, plotted out a fic focused on Sela, the half-Romulan daughter of Tasha Yar from TNG, so that I could see the language used in context. I think I only ever wrote a couple of thousand words, but it would be cool to take this relatively small Trek character and build up the world and culture of Romulus around them, especially since we now have a lot more material to work with since Star Trek: Picard aired.
16. What are your writing strengths?
My dialogue gets mentioned a lot in my reviews, which makes me really happy! I think it comes from doing a lot of theatre and listening to a lot of audio dramas! For me, there’s nothing more satisfying when you’re writing fic than when you read through what you’ve written and you can hear the rhythm and cadence of the actor.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Making my sentences overly wordy or overly complicated. It’s something my teachers pointed out to me at school, I have a tendency to meander before I get to the point!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I actually do this already for my House of the Dragon fics! I love, love, love High Valyrian and it’s so fun to sink my teeth into a new language (especially as, seeing as it’s a conlang, there’s way less pressure to be perfect all the time). I did a degree in linguistics, so it’s been a blast from the past dusting off these old skills and learning about grammatical concepts I haven’t used before (such as the vocative, locative and comitative cases). I’ve never been so thankful I suffered through three years of Russian because it’s given me such a head start when it comes to a highly inflectional language like HV!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Like most people my age, it was HP. I wrote mostly about Bellatrix, Andromeda, and Narcissa: what can I say, I love a messy, mildly incestuous family.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Probably Ex libris, though Salt and Smoke is very close to my heart. Ex libris has just grown into this absolute monster of a fic - I originally thought it would only be seven chapters! - and I’ve learnt so much in the process.
I am tagging @backjustforberena and @youleavethetardisbrakeson and you, the reader, if you’d like to have a go answering these too! 🥰

Danno moltissimo, senza chiedere nulla.
- Tiziano Terzani
******************
I discovered very early on that the best travel companions are books: they speak when you need to, they are silent when you want silence. They keep company without being intrusive. They give a lot, without asking for anything.

Why do you post swastikas? Are you a nazi?
i like swastikas. it's a very ancient symbol. and so many of them are visually pleasing. it's fascinating how it appears in so many cultures totally independently. it's probably is one of the oldest symbols still in use today, after thousands of years. even in western cultures swastika was a positive thing up to very recent times - you can find pre-war photos of country houses with swastikas carved over the doors or ex libris swastika designs belonging to people not associated with nazism in any way. you can find and buy folk clothing with cross stitched swastikas from traditional designs today. there are graves of early christians with swastikas carved on their stelae. i always get excited a little bit whenever i find a ceramic vessel or other artefact with a swastika while looking through archaeology books. and that's why i post them. i collect them, so to speak.
do you think posting swastikas from time to time is enough to consider someone a nazi? have you seen me expressing any nazi views before?

Wake up besties new Hoe just dropped <333
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Vincent
Age: 25
Occupation: Private investigator
Pronouns: They/It/he
Gender & sexuality: Demi boy, demiromantic asexual.
Species: Siren
Likes: Mocha, pigeons, reading, swimming.
Dislikes: Garlic, incoherent people,storms,corn.
Personality: Secretive and quiet, Vincent isn't exactly the kind of person to have lengthy conversations. On the top of that, they might seem aggressive or unapproachable at first glance, though he usually has much patience, especially due to it's carrier. In private he tends to be less harsh and caring.
Height: 1.90 m (human form) 2.54 m (siren form)
Birthday: 22 November
Weapons/Abilities:
As an human, other than their singing voice he doesn't have any other ability. However, it has received a firearm training, so they are able to use them.
As a siren, they're far more agile and fast, granting him a great advantage.
Speaking of his singing voice; It allows them to allure and manipulate people's minds in order to get information it wants. They only use It in life or death situations,or in any other severe case. He has a full mastery over it.
Other lil stuff/rambles about him under the cut <3
He has a bachelor degree in criminal science, and has specialisized a few months before it's appereance in the story.
They are relatevely close with his family; though they know live pretty far, they visit them during holidays and calls them regulalry.
Okay so so this makes sense to italians but i seriously don't know how to translate 'libri gialli' so without further a do Imma say that Vincent has read detective/crime related books since they were pretty young. He currently has a few with them, in case they want to feel the good old nostalgia.
Speaking of childood; It had many problems with socialization. No matter if they were on land or into the sea, nothing seemed to change. Growing older, he did make a few acquaintances and even friends, but overtime they couldn't manage all of them.
It never really cared how people saw him on land, and if anything, he would calmly state his species. A few weird looks? Who cares, they'll forget about It in a few days anyways.
Yes he did watch who framed roger rabbit as a kid now the crops shall be healed <3 (in the unholy case you didn't watch It i recommend It tbh)
They sleep with a cat plushie It named Mrs Puffs.
It occasionally smokes. It's moreso during high stress situations, but It could happen.
Ironically so, he has actually worked in hot topic as a part time job. They needed some money for the summer and It was the most viable option.
The reason as to why we see them in the first place Is because he got paid by the agency, in order to make sure the raventhorns are working fairly. (+ considering the fact that Moor had been in contact with Neptune and and It having caused quite a lot of conflict)
As a result though he basically becomes their adopted w/o consent father figure and has to deal with their shenanigans on a daily basis. <3 Found family am I right
(the one he looks after the most are both moor and bone, which are objectevly the most naive ones.)
His desk Is,,, messy as a compliment. Though the important pieces of information are neatly placed, everything else Is just all around the place and It doesn't to seem bothered by It. However when the others do it-
By no surpise he might not show up for a few days controlling them; it still gets payment from working on other cases, so it's not something to underastimate.
His fave flower Is the blue hydrangea.

Storia Di Musica #231 - Joe Pass, Virtuoso, 1973
Again (1976), Speak Love (1983) e Easy Living (1986). In scaletta un solo brano autografo, Blues For Alican, per il resto il meglio degli standard jazz: Night and Day (Cole Porter), All The Things You Are (Jerome Kern), una versione mozzafiato di Round Midnight (Thelonious Monk, Cootie Williams), una strepitosa The Song Is You di Jerome Kern, che apre tutta una serie di riprese di famosissime canzoni da musical e dal cinema: Stella By Starlight dal film La Casa Sulla Scogliera, How High The Moon da Two For The Show e My Old Flame da Belle Of The Nineties tra gli altri. “Be’…” e canticchia qualcosa.

💀Book: Wicked saints
💀Author: Emily a Duncan
💀Zenre: Gothic fantasy romance. Dark fantasy.
💀Book description:
A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.
A prince in danger must decide who to trust.
A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.
Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.
In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light. Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy.
💀My review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
An amazing book series, very atmospheric and dark just as I like it in books. Amazing characters and I really loved the poves of all the three main ones . Amazing plot and character development throughout the series. Also it really gives many strong emotions and feelings while reading the books.
The romance was very unique and I really complicated which I enjoyed to.
It's been a long time since I read them but I really want to reread them again soon!

ALBERI SACRI
.......
"The Hidatsa Indians of North America believe that every natural object has its own spirit or, rather, its shadow. To these shadows we owe some consideration, or respect. Some large trees are believed to have intelligence which, when conveniently approached, can aid in various feats.
Cutting down these giants is considered a bad deed, and when large beams were needed, they only used trees that had already fallen. The elders said that many of their people's misfortunes were caused by modern disrespect for the rights of large trees.
The Iroquois also believe that every species of trees, plants and herbs have their own spirit. It was customary to give thanks to these spirits.
Among the Ewe-speaking inhabitants of the Slave Coast (Africa) the god Huntin dwells in some giant trees of the forest. The trees in which he lives are surrounded by a belt of palm leaves, and sacrifices are offered to him from hens, and sometimes even human beings, who are tied to the trunk or placed at the foot of the tree. Even trees that do not contain a Huntin's abode cannot be cut down without the lumberjack offering a sacrifice to purge himself of the sacrilege he is committing. Omitting the sacrifice is an offense that can also be punished with death.
Long ago in the Kangra Mountains of Punjab it was customary to sacrifice a girl to an old cedar, and the families of the village took turns providing the victim.
When an oak is felled, it makes screams or moans, which can be heard a mile away, as if the genius of the oak were complaining. Some sorcerers claim to have heard the weeping of the trees under the ax. Trees that bleed or cry out in pain or indignation when struck by the ax or burned are often encountered in books or stories, in all cultures."
- from Magic and Tree Cult by J.G.Frazer -
Even without offering any human sacrifice, or even chickens, we respect these magnificent creatures, living spirits who put the Earth in communication with Heaven, Dark with Light, Spirit with Matter. The ancients were able to grasp its essence, but most of us pass by distracted and fast without even noticing them. Only some time I met a lady in the woods who pausing in front of every big tree, she touched it and said a short prayer. I am always fascinated by these wonderful and sometimes extravagant creatures, every time I enter the woods, it seems to me to enter a fairy tale.
