Makes sense and compels me!

We don’t get much characterization for Tetia but she’s shown to be sweet and open-minded. Licht is a good man and would totally be smitten with a woman like Tetia who never judges and has the same dream as him (and Lumiere). And well, Licht is Licht. Of course Tetia would be drawn to him.

They are a couple that is sweet and happy. And while I do love my drama, I can get behind some saccharine sweetness! Not that the ship is without tragedy, through no fault of their own though. Just… the pain of them being in the middle of living their dream, everything comes crashing down! They probably knew that it wouldn’t be smooth sailing for them considering the royals at the time but they definitely didn’t expect the royals to massacre the elves. But the fact that they were so in love and hopeful for the future despite the looming threat of backlash is tragically beautiful!

Jwhcudjebwha! Licht x Tetia is a background ship but it means something! It’s important to the story that they were in love and had hope! It’s important to people to see individuals from different communities finding love with each other. It’s important to my heart because it’s wonderfully wholesome despite the ultimate ending!

How about Lumiere x Nero? And Oscar x Nero?

Makes sense, compels me!

I really did love the bond Lumiere and Secre shared. They had a tender connection that was gone too soon. I just adored that aside from all the research they did, Lumiere still had plenty of time to make her a pretty dress! While I personally may not get a romantic vibe from them, their circumstances can be read like a romantic tragedy. To be separated for centuries is just heartwrenching. So I understand why people ship them. I see Lumiere having a fondness for her like he would for Tetia. Maybe Secre's the little sister he wished he had since they had more in common while Tetia was occupied with Licht.

As for her relationship with Oscar, that definitely compels me! They're two nerds in love, and it's adorable! Oscar definitely has his similarities to Lumiere, which makes Nero feel comfortable around him. Poor Oscar is just so awkward since he's so inexperienced when it comes to wooing women. But Oscar is passionate about his work, and Nero is a devoted helper. They make a great team and would be good to each other. I can't get over the idea of Sally and Millie gossiping about them in the research lab together. It just feeds into my love of workplace romantic comedies.

Taking A Rest + Upcoming Fics

Hey everyone! I hope life has been treating you well as of late! If not, I wish you all the best and hope it gets better!

I’ve decided that I will be taking a blog hiatus- things in my IRL life have been happening that have left me ridiculously tired, and in turn making writing and blogging feel like extra work. Writing for me is my escape and my go-to for peace and joy, but when it starts to fell dull, I know it’s time to take a break.

I’m really sorry to do this, but sentence starters will be on pause until I return. I was originally going to try and finish the remaining ones before I took off, but with how my headspace is right now alongside IRL things, they wouldn’t be my best work, and I want to provide y’all with the best fics I can make. Same goes for head canon requests.

Y’ALL I JUST CRIED UGLY AT THIS SCENE, well like I already did when I first read this part on the manga but seeing it animated just… amplifies the feels you know?

Also I love how Secre keeps calling Lumiere her prince and how dearly she keeps faith in his words... like no amount of devilry can bring her spirits down, Lumiere brought her up and she's not going to let anything nor anyone tear down the self-esteem her prince nurtured within her with his kind words of motivation, and his genius in bringing out the wonderful potential of her magic... I just love the relationship between these two

The only bright side to all this... IS THAT YOU TWO ARE ACTUALLY STUCK IN THAT COMPROMISING POSITION GDI YAMI DON'T MESS IT UP THE HEALING MAGIC AIN'T JUST THE GOOD THING ABOUT IT

read some random article about awful and sense making ships from bc and they said secre and lumiere are awful and i was like WTF NO theyre one of my OTPs??? GTFO???

I’ve read that article, too! 

Personally I couldn’t see Lumiere and Secre as having any sort of romantic relationship 500 years ago because of Secre being an underaged teenager and Lumiere being halfway through his 20s, but I guess they could have worked after Lumiere’s “awakening” if he had gotten to live longer, since Secre grew up in the time he was a statue. Although, I can definitely see Secre as having a crush on him!

I didn’t really like the article myself, particularly on Yuno and Charmy’s slide since I truly dislike the pairing. The other ships I can mostly agree on, but I guess every person will see the list differently, so to each their own.

Hoe many “Love me like you do” requests do you have left and what are they?

Prompt: “Foliage” Pairing: Light x Tetia Fanfic type: Oneshot Length: ~0.6k Genre: Fluff

Tetia knew that she wasn’t supposed to sneak out like this, without anyone with her. Lumiere especially wasn’t happy with her being alone outside, which she understood because it hadn’t been that long since Licht had been her knight in shining armour.

Though… it was precisely because she had snuck out, that she had met, and fallen in love with, Licht.

And besides… it wasn’t like she didn’t have anyone waiting for her. Because she was sneaking out to meet him. It felt quite thrilling if she was honest, in the best possible way. A bit like sneaking into the kitchen to the cookie jar as a toddler, even if… the castle didn’t exactly have a cookie jar per se. But there were sweets to sneak out.

The thought made a faint giggle escape her; the sheer amusement that came with the comparison, bubbled to the surface. The sound of which was combined with the rustle of leaves under her feet, as she made her way down the path towards a large oak tree, under which they had agreed to meet.

The path was lined with trees, their branches reaching over her head as the leaves rattled in the wind, and sunlight peeked through the foliage, creating streams of veil like gold. Autumn might not have been the warmest or her most favoured season, but it surely was beautiful. Much like the love she held for Licht in her heart, and she was certain, that it resembled his love for her as well.

Despite a wide smile decorating her lips, somehow the expression found a way to extend to her eyes even more prominently as, already from afar, she could recognize lock of blond hair, tied onto a ponytail, along with a cloak. She could feel her heart skipping a beat, and the flutter of butterflies in her stomach only intensify, as she took running steps towards him.

He turned to face her, taking steps of his own towards her while opening his arms just in time for her to dive into his embrace.

Her arms wrapped around him into a tight embrace, as she pressed her head against his chest and her senses were finally able to grasp his scent, his warmth, the beat of his heart… his mere presence that calmed her spirit and breathed life into her. And so, her fingers buried into his cloak, as if grasping onto it and asking him to stay without speaking out a word.

“I missed you,” she whispered, the sound nearly being muffled under the rustling of leaves above.

“I missed you too,” he replied, with equally delicate syllables.

Another silence fell between them, but it was a comfortable one, in which nothing needed to be said. All that sufficed, in that moment, was to be held by the other.

Sunlight still cascaded through the foliage onto them, as if creating a spotlight; to showcase, to emphasize that they were there, content and in love.

“I can hear your heart beat,” she continued with another whisper, while wearing a warm, big smile. But no matter how happy the smile would have seemed; it was nothing compared to how she felt in her heart.

“It beats for you,” he replied as his hold of her grew stronger, more secure, and his head pressed against hers.

Another breeze passed over them, rustling the leaves of the foliage, which served as background noise. A quiet melody that was as if a bed, on which the song their hearts sang for each other, might lay in peace.
