I'll seek to make thy happiness so great that e'en the name of liberty's forgot.
Rachel's conveying that she would try to make Chloe so happy, that the concept of being free from anyone wouldn't matter anymore. She is willing to commit to prioritising Chloe's joy so much so that Chloe wouldn't want to be apart from her -- they'd want to be together forever, even at the sacrifice of their own freedom. And I still have people on yt telling me they were doomed from the start, and I still saw people saying the entire Tempest scene shows how suppressive she is, even though she still leaves the ultimate decision to Chloe. Might be a stretch, but didn't Rachel hide those ugly mess she got involved in from Chloe because she wanted Chloe to be happy instead of hurt, after all?
I wanted Rachel to fully confess her love, and so I made this from an actual snippet of the Tempest:
Just marry already. Say yes! (full video below)
That aside, one thing the remastered didn't do well in this scene was the lighting. Where did all the shadows go? They made everything so much brighter that the original just looks more natural.
Knowing DONTNOD I know the plot is gonna be meh but it gives me more characters to love!!!! I won’t be able to play it tho but I can’t wait to see it im so excited
I feel like the music in Life is Strange is something that is talked about a lot but also not talked about enough. Whoever put together the soundtrack needs to be kissed on the mouth immediately. Maybe it’s my musician brain but I just have an undying love for the OST’s, especially for the original and Before The Storm. It makes me nostalgic for a place that doesn’t really exist and people who I’ve never actually met. It’s insane.
Also, the Life is Strange: Before the Storm menu music always manages to somewhat take me back to the feeling I had first experiencing the first two LIS games for the first time. Daughter you magnificent musician, you. Fuck it’s SUCH A GOOD SONG THERE IS DRUGS IN IT OR SOMETHING.
Friendly reminder that Rachel never cheated because her and chloe were not official. Rachel was free to do what she wanted. Yes she should have told Chloe about Frank and Jefferson, but it makes total sense for her not to. Jefferson probably told her that she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. With Frank I honestly believe that she was seeing him to find a way out of Arcadia. Rachel was just a teenager, she made mistakes but she’s not some super villain. She did love Chloe, she screwed up, but she did love chloe, she wasn’t just using her.
