Hello, sorry to bug you out of nowhere, but would you list 5 things that make you happy?

Absolutely! I started writing and ended up with seven and couldn't figure out how to cut two, so here's a list of 7 things that make me happy:

Picking up one of my cats and giving her a snuggle. She will tolerate it for 3.5 seconds and then ask to be put down and petted. One of the cats will wind around my feet, the other will flop over and demand belly rubs.

Hugs and cuddles from my partner. Enough said!

Seeing a friend or three in person and just catching up and doing nothing but drinking tea and eating snacks and chatting about everything. Someone that you can hang out with for hours and hours around a coffee table or in front of a fire is precious.

Going for a walk in some form of nature, potentially "forgetting" my phone and just enjoying the shape of the clouds, the feeling of wind on my skin, and tracing my eyes over the branches and rocks and brooks. Touching rocks and leaves and maybe plucking them and carrying them a little way, feeling running my fingers over the texture.

The absolute rush of getting a good rock climbing session in. I can barely even explain how good I feel after. (Although I can end up feeling very drained!)

Talking about the things I love with people who love them just as much! In person is the best, but chatting back and forth by text can be fantastic, and I get giddy when we can all build up a concept and keep it going up and up and up.

Getting right into the zone of creating something based purely on an image in my head of how it should work, and flowing through until it's done. This is challenging for me, and I might be drained after, but it's one of the most fulfilling parts of my life.

Our Village

Going on tumblr is like having your own little village. And in your village, are the people and hashtags that you follow.

Sometimes you'll be in someone else's village, but they won't be in yours. Or it'll be the other way round, a person is in your village but you're not in theirs. And that's okay.

In our villages there's normally a whole range of people. People from different fandoms, people who may know from other social media, people you follow but don't know why (we still don't unfollow them). We also have our treasured haiku bot, one of the only bots we like visiting our villages.

Some of these people you consider a second family, a second home.

We can send mail to the people in our village as a way of getting to know them or interacting with them.

We can also pop over to their houses (blogs) to either look at their decorations (posts) or have a chat.

Sometimes, our villages get invaded by imposters (porn bots), but thankfully, we have an easy way to kick them out.

And last but not least, we have our village celebrities. Ones like @neil-gaiman and @mishacollins , who occasionally visit their village and our villages to interact with us.

I hear y'all are having clown problems today. Good luck with that. I haven't voluntarily opened the website for months, personally. Is the app perfectly functional? No. But the only murder clowns on it are the userbase, and that's just the way I like it.
