Schulzeit und Jugend verbrachte er in Süddeutschland. Nach einem Orientierungsjahr in Nord-Irland (Belfast) absolvierte er anschließend diverse Praktika, unter anderem im Bereich Kulissenbau in der Bühnenbildnerei des Marktgrafentheaters in Erlangen. Daran anknüpfend studierte er von 2005 bis 2011 Freie Malerei bei Prof. Ralph Fleck an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nürnberg mit einem Gastsemester an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Budapest (Ungarn). 2013 schloss er mit seinem Master of Arts an der Alanushochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft in Alfter/Bonn ab.
