Life of Lea Volume 1 Prologue: Chapter 0: Last Day of Normal

It was a quiet and peaceful morning as it was going to be a long day as it was New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2014. Our story begins at the Guerrero household that lay in the city known as West Cove. It was a cold Wednesday day as the oldest daughter, Lea Guerrero, was still laying in bed as she was still fast asleep. The second daughter, Alyssa, then walked down the hallway to wake up her big sister as she was the only one still asleep in the house.

Alyssa bursts into the room loudly, “Lea! Time to wake up now! You are the only one still sleeping, Mom wants us to go to church today since it’s New Year’s Eve” she said as she walks over to Lea’s bed.

Lea groans in annoyance at this rude awakening as she refused to get out of bed she turns to lie on her side making her back face her little sister with her dark chocolate brown hair fell over her face.

“Lea! Get up! It’s time for breakfast!” Alyssa said as she tries to pull the big thick dark blue blanket off of Lea’s body.

Lea groans as she held onto her blanket and mumbles, “ I’ll be there in 5 minutes… let me stretch first…no need to be so assertive on me first thing in the morning”.

“Ok,” Alyssa says contently before leaving the room with the door wide open despite not hearing the last part of what Lea had said to her.

Lea sighs as she starts to stretch her arms then stretches her back and ankles. She knew if she didn’t stretch her body would be completely stiff which was not fun for her. Lea then got out of her bed and fixes it before walking over to the kitchen.

“Good Morning, Lea,” Mom says with a smile as she turns to look at her.

“Morning…” Lea replied in a soft voice as she made her way to her usual seat at the kitchen table that was next to the glass door.

“Don’t get too excited, Lea” Dad says sarcastically in a joking matter.

Lea just looks at him like well you weren’t woken up rudely as she got comfortable in her seat.

“Did you sleep well, Lea?” Mom asked her as she helped serve her food she gave her a sunnyside-up egg and 3 pieces of bacon.

“Yea… it was alright” Lea replied as she yawns lightly before rubbing her eyes.

“That’s good,” Mom said before she then serves herself food.

“I had a weird dream though…” Lea exclaims as she cuts off a piece of her egg.

“Hm…alright well let’s pray now” Dad replied as he was eager to start eating.

Lea nods as she puts her hands together for their blessing of the meal prayer, afterward they then start eating their eggs and bacon.

“Any of you want a drink?” Mom asked as she got up from her seat.

“Milk…” Lea exclaims as Alyssa and their dad nod in agreement.

Mom nods in agreement and then gets up to get the carton of milk from the fridge before pouring the milk into their cups.

Lea ate her food quietly as she tries to stay awake. “Damn it… I didn’t fall asleep until like 2 am…well at least I got 9 hours of sleep…maybe I’ll get better sleep tonight” Lea thought to herself.

Lea then takes a big sip of her glass of milk in between her bites of eggs and then her bacon. After everyone ate their food, they all got ready for church, while Mom stayed back to clean up the dishes before getting ready herself. Lea then went to her daily pill container with her glass oc milk before taking a sip to take her meds. Afterward, she went to her closet to choose what she was wearing today and then went to the downstairs bathroom that was across from her bedroom, to take a shower. While Lea was in the shower, she used most of the hot water since she liked her showers warm as it felt good on her skin as well as refreshing when waking up. She then turned around to get her 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner before putting it on her hair to wash it.

Alyssa knocks on the bathroom door, “ Lea! Don’t use up all the hot water! I still need to take a shower too!” she said a bit annoyed as she practically banged on the door to get her sister’s attention with how loud the air conditioner is.

“Yea ok!” Lea replied not caring as she finished up in the shower with rinsing out her hair and washing her body with soup before rinsing that off.

Lea then turns off the water in the shower and got out while getting her towel off the towel rack. She then dries her hair and then her body before putting on her deodorant. After getting dressed, Lea shaved a bit and then brushes her hair after drying it. When she opened the door, she could hear Alyssa complaining in the upstairs bathroom since she used most of the hot water. Lea shrugs it off as she goes back to her room to watch some Danny Phantom reruns. Alyssa later came into Lea’s room after her shower, it was obvious that she was angry at her for what she did with the water.

“I told you not to use up all the hot water, Lea!” Alyssa exclaims in a loud voice.

“I didn’t use it all up plus you told me that a tad bit too late anyways so don’t go blaming me but also you didn’t exactly say please either” Lea replied as she turned to look at her.

Alyssa groans in annoyance before leaving the room and going back upstairs. Lea sighs and goes back to watching her rerun episodes as she was now a bit annoyed from being yelled at. Dad shakes his head as he had heard them yelling at each other but was a bit happy that it was a short argument this time. After everyone finished getting ready, they then went into the blue Honda and went straight to church as they were a little bit late. Lea had her black earbuds in her ears as she listened to her music on the ride to the church. They parked at the far side of the parking lot as it was going to be a crowded mass.

They were probably going to have to stand through it which Lea didn’t like since she had flat feet like flatter feet than her mom. They all stood by the wall, waiting for a seat on one of the benches to have room. This didn’t happen until after getting the Eucharist, Lea sighs in relief as she finally got to sit down and the non-existent arches in her feet could relax. After church, they went to the guy who was selling food at the back entrances of the church and bought some Mexican corn. It was so messy and yet so good even if it was a bit spicy as the corn was covered with mayo, cheese, and hot flakes and luckily it was only $2.50 for each one.

They ate their Mexican corn on the way back home, as they tried not to make a mess in Mom’s blue Honda. When they got home, Lea went into her room to relax and finish up her Mexican corn as lunch wasn’t for another hour or so. After finishing her Mexican corn, Lea turned on the television and watched a Kim Possible rerun. She would occasionally go on her phone as she was texting her long-time best friend, Vanessa Maximus.

“So can I call you, dude?” Vanessa texted her.

“ Sure” Lea texted her back.

Lea answered Vanessa’s phone call, “Hi,” she says.

“Hey dude” Vanessa replies.

“So what’s up?” Lea asked her.

“Not much and you?” Vanessa replied.

“Well, lately I’ve been having weird dreams… I don’t how to react to them though” Lea explains.

“Oh, how so dude? What happens in these dreams?” Vanessa asks her.

“ I don’t remember much other than seeing ice when the dream starts” Lea replied.

“Hm…ok, well how long have you been having this dream?” Vanessa says.

“Oh well… they’ve been happening for a couple of days now” Lea replied with a soft yawn.

“Alright well I have to go, Leo wants to play video games with me” Vanessa exclaims as her brother’s voice could be heard in the background of their phone call.

“Alright then, bye” Lea replied as she wondered what Leo and Vanessa were gonna play this time.

“Yea bye,” Vanessa says before hanging up.

Lea hangs up as well then puts her phone down on her bed then gets up to throw the leftover corn in the kitchen’s trashcan. Mom glances at her as she made lunch as it got closer to 2 pm.

“Hm…I wonder what’s for lunch…” Lea thought to herself as she came into the kitchen.

“Lea, did you take your meds this morning?” Mom asked her as she didn’t see her bring her meds to the table.

“Yea, I did, I took it when I went back to my room to get ready for church” Lea replied as she had brought her cup from earlier back from her room before handing it over to Mom.

“Good, don’t skip them again” Mom warned her before washing Lea’s cup for her.

“I won’t, Mom” Lea replied with a soft and slightly sarcastic tone as she walks back to her room.

“I guess we are having sandwiches for lunch,” Lea thought as she noticed what Mom had spread out on the counter was a loaf of bread, peanut butter, and strawberry jelly.

Lea sighs as she lays in her bed as she went back to watching Kim Possible. After it ended Lea switched to a different channel only to see her golden retriever, Cloud, walk into the room, since she didn’t close her door too often.

“Hey, Cloud” Lea says to him as she turns to look at him.

Cloud just looked at her with his big dark brown eyes before moving closer to be petted. Lea sighs and gently pets his head as if she could ever say no to his cute puppy dog eyes.

“Happy now?” Lea asks him as if he would ever reply to her.

Cloud nudges his head against her hand as he wanted to be petted more as a response to her question.

“Spoiled dog” Lea mumbles to herself as she giggles lightly at his love for attention.

Cloud huffs as he nudges against her hand again as he insisted that she continue to pet his head. Lea sighs in annoyance and makes him leave the room as she did ‘That’s enough’ and ‘You can go now’ hand gestures. Only for Cloud to look at her blankly and lie down in the hallway. Lea shakes her head and goes back to watching the episode that she had playing on her tv. After 10 minutes, Mom finished making the food for lunch then goes Lea’s room and knocks on the door.

“ Lea, time for lunch,” Mom says as she stood in the doorway before making her way to the living room.

“Alright Mom, I’m coming” Lea replied as she got up from her bed.

Lea reaches for the tv remote and then turns off the television, before going over to the kitchen. Everyone serves themselves food and then sat on the couch in the living room. Alyssa, who was already on the couch with her food, got ahold of the living room remote and turns on the television before Lea could do so first. Alyssa then put on one of her shows that she liked but to Lea, who thought they were too ridiculous to watch for too long. Lea glanced at her with a ‘Really now?’ and ‘Why this show of all reasons?’ kind of expression. Alyssa just looked at her with a ‘suck it up girl’ kind of smug expression.

Lea rolls her eyes and sighs before taking a bite out of her sandwich and watching the show. As the show went to commercial, Lea saw that her favorite old movie was going to be played later tonight which made her happy.

“We’re not going to watch that,” Alyssa says as she scrunches up her nose a little bit in disapproval.

“Why not? It’s a good movie” Lea replied with a pout as she glanced at Alyssa.

“No, it’s not, it’s boring, plus you’ve seen this movie already” Alyssa complains as she recalled the other times she replayed all of her favorites.

“It’s not boring and I like re-watching it” Lea replied as she glares at

her.

“Yea but not all of us like re-watching it with you,” Alyssa says as she got angrier.

“You two stop it now and Alyssa you don’t have to be in the room when it’s on” Mom exclaims as she tries to break up their argument.

“Fine…” Alyssa groans a bit as she was still irritated at Lea before putting the volume up higher once her show got back on after the commercial break.

“Lea…” Mom says softly as she looks at her with a stern expression.

“Yea…ok” Lea replied still a bit sore from her sister’s comment towards her before taking another bite of her sandwich.

Mom shakes her head in disapproval with how Lea dismissed showing some amount of maturity after having a petty argument.

“You two need to stop arguing so much…it’s getting really old now” Dad nags them as he wanted to give his two cents on what just happened despite Mom already getting them two stops.

“Mhm…” Lea mumbles as she didn’t notice if Dad was even paying attention at all.

“Especially for you, Lea, you’re the oldest, you need to be the example for your sister” Mom exclaims as she wanted to make sure that Lea knew she should react differently.

Lea sighs in annoyance, “Yea…ok” she replied as she wondered why she was the only one getting lectured.

Mom shakes her head again as she realized maybe she hadn’t added to what her husband added in. While Lea took her time eating, Alyssa was the first to be finished her sandwiches before going over to the kitchen to take care of her plate. Lea finished her sandwiches last after everyone else had cleaned their plate and fork before putting them into the dishwasher. Alyssa doesn’t go back to the living room as she goes up the stairs back to her room. After taking care of her plate, Lea went back to her room to watch what she wanted to watch. She glances at the Princess clock on her bedroom wall that hung over her bed to see if it was 8 pm, so she could catch Who Framed Roger Rabbit when it started before quickly turning her tv back on.

Lea sighs, “This is going to be a long night after all,” she thought to herself as the movie was not on yet.

The door slowly creaks open as Cloud came into the room again as Lea didn’t close her door all the way.

“Oh…hey Cloud” Lea says in a soft tone as she glances at him.

Cloud sits in front of her and nudges his head into her hand to be petted again. Lea sighs and gently pets his head then scratches behind his ears as his tail began to wag around happily.

“You just love to be petted, don’t you?” Lea asked him.

Cloud huffs and then licks her hand when she stopped petting him.

“I finished petting you for now please let my hand rest, Cloud, go lay down for now, please” Lea exclaims before removing her hand from under his chin.

Cloud blinks a bit before laying down on the floor. Lea sighs and looks through the television guide as she records the movie, that she wanted to watch then turns off the television before laying flat in her bed. As Lea was about to close her eyes and get into a more comfortable position, Alyssa came into the room abruptly.

“Why are you taking a nap? You just ate” Alyssa nags her.

“I’m not taking a nap, I was giving my back a break” Lea snaps at her a bit as she got a bit defensive.

“Yea …mhm sure you were,” Alyssa said with a sarcastic tone as she was letting the annoyance she still had from earlier.

“I was! I was still going to play on my phone, also why did you come into my room like that?” Lea replied even more irritated.

“Yea ok,” Alyssa said still sarcastic before leaving the room as she didn’t bother answering her question.

Lea mumbles to herself in annoyance, “Geez…why can’t she be nice for once…” she thought to herself.

She then lays back down and goes on her phone to play her apps for a while.

“Lea, why don’t you draw instead of playing on your phone?” Mom asked her as she stood in the hallway with a basket of laundry.

“I would draw but I am currently having artist's block” Lea replied with a pout as she stopped her game to glance at Mom.

“Oh maybe try looking for inspiration ” Mom suggested to her before trying to open the door to the garage with one hand.

“Hm…maybe… I could put on some anime to try it out” Lea replied as she sat upwards.

“Alright, whatever helps you to stay awake for tonight” Mom exclaims before going into the garage.

“Mhm…” Lea mutters before putting her phone down on her bed and going on the computer that was in front of her bed in the corner of her room before pressing the power button.

As Lea waits for the computer to be turned on, Alyssa stood in the doorway with a mischievous grin.

“I thought you were going to play on your phone” Alyssa exclaims as she felt like poking the lion with a stick again.

“Yea I was but Mom brought up that I should draw instead of laying down so I’m going to watch anime” Lea replied as she gave Alyssa some side-eye.

“Hm…ok then” Alyssa mutters before walking off into the hallway to get a drink from the kitchen.

Lea sighs as she waits for the computer to load up. When it finally finished loading, Lea clicks on the Internet Explorer icon.

“This is going to take a while…” Lea thought to herself as she watched the loading circle turn around and around slowly. Lea waited about ten minutes before the Internet page was completely loaded.

“Ugh…it’s taking forever to load…but then again it is a pretty old computer,” Lea thought to herself as she remembered the day Mom got it.

She then clicks on the favorites icon and then clicks on her usual anime website on the favorites list. Lea sighs begrudgingly as she waits again for her anime page to load. After another ten minutes, her anime page finally finished loading. Lea then clicks on the lists of anime on the page so she could through the animes she has seen.

“Hm…which one…which one…should I watch this time” Lea mumbles to herself.

She first looks through the A list then the B list, then H, K, M, N, O, P, and S.

“Hm…maybe this one,” she said going back to the B list.

Lea then waits for the page to load again and then began to think to herself that maybe she should get a drink or snack while she waits.

“What should I eat and drink? Maybe milk and some Pocky or ramen ” she thought to herself.

Lea gets lost in thought as she didn’t notice that her anime page finished loading up since she had started staring at the wall. Alyssa had come back with her drink noticing Lea had zoned out and decided to sneak up on her for fun.

“Hey it finished loading up, Lea” Alyssa says as she tapped her shoulder hard.

“E-Eh? Oh ok,” Lea flinches slightly as she was caught off guard.

“Oh? What? Did I scare you?” Alyssa said as she starts to smirk at her.

“No, you didn’t,” Lea says with a pout as she lies to her face.

“Mhm…” Alyssa replied in a sarcastic yet amused tone.

“No need to be sarcastic nor smug” Lea snapped at her.

“Uhuh ok” Alyssa replied still sarcastic as she continued to metaphorically poke the lion with a stick.

“You can go now” Lea snaps at her again as she was done with Alyssa bugging & mocking her.

“Hm…maybe I’ll stick here” Alyssa exclaims with a big smirk.

“What? No, you can not” Lea replied with more anger in her tone as she wanted to be left alone now.

“Yes, I can,” Alyssa said as she lays on her bed as she continued to press on her sister’s buttons.

“Fine as long as you don’t bother me with my work” Lea replied as she tries to calm down.

“Kay your bed is comfy anyways,” Alyssa says as she got comfy and then plays on her phone.

Lea sighs and then looks at her phone as Vanessa was texting her about her latest family drama as she read it in her mind.

“Vanessa just can’t get a break from them…can she?” Lea thought to herself after sending her reply text before putting her phone back down on the table.

Alyssa looks at her confused, “Something happened with Vanessa again?” she asks her as she noticed the face Lea was making.

“Yea…it’s the same as always…”Lea replied in a sympathetic tone.

“What’s wrong with them…” Alyssa says in disapproval.

“I don’t know…it’s like they are so fixed on making both of their children robots or that they are living through their kids” Lea replied with a pout.

Alyssa shakes her head just before sitting up, picking up her cup from the desk, and then leaving the bedroom.

“Hm… maybe I’ll draw one of my OCs… which one should I draw is the question,” Lea thought to herself. Lea then gets her sketchbook, a pencil, an eraser, a pen, and her sharpener. She then thinks of what the pose should be.

“Hm…” Lea mutters as she looks at the clock on the computer noticing that it was time for her show as well as it was getting closer to dinner time.

She then closes the anime page that she had opened then turns off the computer before turning on the television again. Lea then sat on her bed as she watches Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

“It’s still good even after watching it over and over again,” Lea thought to herself.

She could hear her mom in the distance, cooking in the kitchen.

“Hm…I wonder what we will be eating for dinner…Hm… spaghetti with meatballs with garlic bread does sound good right about now” Lea thought to herself.

Lea picks up the tv remote off her bed and puts the movie on pause before going to the kitchen to ask her mom.

“Hey Mom, what’s for dinner?” Lea asked her in a soft tone.

“We are having spaghetti and meatballs” Mom replied with a cheery smile as she turned to look at Lea.

“Oh ok… will we be having garlic bread as well?” Lea asked her again curiously.

“Yes, we are, I know it’s your favorite” Mom replied as she checks if the water was boiling yet to see if the pasta was fully cooked.

“Alright cool,” Lea said happily before going back to her bedroom.

She then sits on her bed then picks up the tv remote before she presses the play button and resumes her movie.

Lea yawns lightly, “Maybe I’ll go to bed early tonight,” she thought to herself.

Lea got through 15 minutes of the movie before being called for dinner by her mom.

“Lea! Time for dinner!” Mom exclaims from the kitchen as the walls in the house weren’t exactly thickly layered.

She then turns off the television and joins the others in the kitchen as they served themselves food. They then all sat in the living room, with Lea, Alyssa, and Mom, on the couch, while Dad sat in his big brown rocking chair that was beside the wall near the glass door that led over to the backyard. Lea then picks up the tv remote first before turning the television on and putting the movie on she was watching earlier.

Alyssa sighs in annoyance, “Why…” she groans as she glares at Lea as she was hoping that Lea didn’t get the remote first.

“That’s because I can’t watch it in my room right now” Lea replied with a slight smug smile.

“Fine but I’m changing it when you leave” Alyssa huffs in defeat.

“That’s fine” Lea replied with more smugness in her tone.

They then ate their spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread as they watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Lea then got up and got herself a cup of milk, Dad noticed, “Lea can you get me a drink too, please” he asked politely.

“Yea…ok” Lea replied with a sigh.

“Thank you,” Dad says with a smile.

“You're Welcome” Lea replied as she got him a cup of milk as well.

Lea then walks back with the drinks and hands over one of them to her dad then sat back in her seat. After everyone finished their food, they washed their dishes and then put them in the dishwasher. Lea went back to her room with her drink and took her pills.

“Lea, we are going to pray now,” Dad said as he stood in the doorway.

“Alright…I’ll be right there” Lea replied as she stood up and follows her dad upstairs.

Once they got to her parent’s room, Lea sat on the floor while Dad, Mom, and Alyssa lay on the bed. After they all prayed for 10 minutes, they all tell each other good night and then goes to their room. Lea yawns a bit before changing into her pajamas, which were just a t-shirt and shorts.

“Maybe I’ll finish watching the movie tomorrow,” Lea thought to herself before laying on her bed.

Cloud then came into her room and lays beside her bed as he curls up on one of her rugs.

“How cute you wanna sleep with me for once, I’m honored, so good night, Cloud” Lea said before closing her bedroom door.

She then curls up in her bed and closes her eyes after wrapping herself in her blanket and hugging her pink stuffed bunny.

“Hopefully I’ll get some sleep tonight,” Lea thought to herself.

After 20 minutes, Lea slowly falls asleep as her pink bunny starts to slip out of her grasp. As she starts to dream, she sees two creatures talking in an ice-like beach resort.

“…Who are they?” Lea thought to herself as she looked at them.

“This getting out of hand…more and more of us are going missing…we can’t go doing rash things, what were you thinking taking that book from her of all things!?” the blonde creature nagged the other.

“Well…what else could I do? She must be behind all of this so maybe this book has something…but if nothing works then we can go get Noemi to help us” the brunette creature replied.

“As that would even work…we haven’t seen her in so long let alone anyone else from her clan,” the blonde creature said in disagreement.

“We have to at least try!” the brunette creature replied.

“……How do they know my mom? But also how have they not noticed that I can see them? Can they not see me? I guess it doesn’t matter since they aren’t real, my imagination is really something, I guess” Lea said in confusion.

“Should I tell them where my mom is?... Maybe? I mean it doesn’t mean they can hear me either, despite me not talking softly in front of them but then again I’m not exactly yelling to get their attention either” Lea says to herself.

“Well if we do have to resort to looking for Noemi…where would we even start looking anyways?” the blonde creature asks in a defeated tone.

“Hm…well last I heard she was going to settle down with her family in a different dimension with the rest of her clan and her husband’s clan, so we can start there” the brunette creature exclaims as they assure the other.

“That might work but how will you get there? Let alone track down their location?” the blonde creature asks.

“Well as much as I love to ask for your help but I suppose I can ask _______ for help,” the brunette creature says as they leaned over to get something out of their pocket

“Of course, I would love to help you like I usually do but my brother is still missing, I have to keep looking for him when I can and besides your not the one who’s watching over this place while my boss is missing on top of that, sorry but I agree _______ can help you for the meantime” the blonde creature complains.

“True, you have a point there, I can’t fault you for juggling so much already…sorry…I am also worried about your brother…my _________…we both love him so much…” the brunette replied as they looked down.

“Of course…but we can’t resort to black magic…we might become evil from the book’s temptation, we don’t even know how that book came to be but at least you were wearing gloves when handling it” the blonde fairy explains.

“True but at least she can’t make anyone else disappear for now as long as we have her book, right?” the brunette creature replied as they glanced at the book on the counter that was laying on white gloves.

“Fair point but for now let’s hide it somewhere so nobody else can find it” the blonde exclaims as their hand starts to glow pink as the book started to float in the air.

“……Is this Snow White-looking book that bad? I wonder what kind of things it contains on its pages” Lea exclaims curiously.

“Perhaps we can hide it with the least expecting person we know,” the blonde creature suggests.

“That might work but we can never be too careful…maybe we can put it in my library” the brunette creature replied.

“Hm…might work let’s try it, maybe when _______ gets here he can put an illusion and protection spell on it” the blonde creature exclaims.

“True, I’ll go wait by the door til _______ arrives” the brunette creature replied before making their way across what appears to be a living room.

“Hm…perhaps I shouldn’t be here…I don’t think that situation has to do with me since they aren’t real beings” Lea mutters to herself as she slowly walks away from the two creatures.

“This sure is a pretty place… looks like it’d be really cold and yet I am still so comfy…why is that? Is it because I’m in a dream? Maybe so” Lea thought to herself as she makes her way out of what appeared to be a 2 story house before making her way onto the sand to look at the ocean and sunset as well as her current surroundings.

“Who knows…but what is with these dreams…I always return to this place and hear the same conversation over and over again… what does it all mean? I have had meaningful dreams and dreams that somehow predicted a specific event” she thought to herself as the dream came to an end.

Life of Lea Volume 3 Chapter 16: Prince Kevin's Birthday Surprise

The next morning, Lea woke up to the sounds of Clive quietly leaving his guest room. She moves her hands in a reverse circular motion as she becomes invisible as she gets her phone and quickly follows Clive. Clive slowly made his way to the emergency room. He takes a box out of his bag before hiding it. Lea quietly filmed him on her phone as she followed him till he went back to his room. Lea saves the video before going back to his room. Lea saves the video before going back to her room and reversing the invisible spell. Lea then got ready before heading over to King Chuck who was with Michaelis going over the menu.

“Your majesty, can I talk to you and Michaelis, it’s vital,” Lea says as she shows them the video.

“Certainly, bring the video over, Miss. Lea” King Chuck replies as he gives out his hand.

“Sure, here you go your majesty,” Lea said as she gave him her phone.

King Chuck then connects her phone to his screen projector. He then presses the play button as they all watch the video as Michaelis grows pale from shock.

“Are you ok, Michaelis?” Lea asked him.

“W-Why would he..? What’s in the box?” Michaelis replies as he couldn’t stop staring at the video.

“We will find out, in the meantime catch your breath and take a few deep breaths,” King Chuck says as he gently rubs his back.

“R-Right, I’ll go make breakfast” Michaelis replies before going up to Mai and hugging her.

“C-Chief? Is everything ok?” Mai says as she was caught off guard.

“N-No..just give me a moment please, Mai” Michaelis replies as he buries his face into her hair as he is hunched over her.

Mai lightly blushes as she gently hugs him back as she tries not to fall over as he is 6 foot 1 and she was tiny compared to him as she was 5 foot 5.

“What happened, Chef? You can talk to me” Mai says as she rubs his back gently.

“Michaelis..please..” Michaelis replies as he was crying.

“Michaelis..talk to me,” Mai says as she gently places her hands on his face and wipes his tears away.

“My-” Michaelis replies before the timer goes off.

“Time to eat, we can talk after we serve the food ok?” Mai says with a reassuring smile.

“Right...Thank you” Michaelis replies as he cleans his glasses before they go to serve breakfast.

Everyone was at the table, groggy and pale but once they served breakfast, they all began to look more colorful. Lea ate her food as she quietly glanced at Clive. Clive was on his best behavior as he ate his breakfast. Michaelis and his crew were in and out with their service. He did his best to stay calm as he is the head chef of the Royal Aamodt family. Mai stays beside him as they go to eat their breakfast. Lea wondered what was in the box that Clive hid in the emergency room but also if she should alert Dr. Ozwen about it as well.

“Everyone please help with the preparations for the party, the party will start at 5: 30 pm” King Chuck announces before taking a sip of his coffee.

“Sure, what do you want us to help you with?” Mom asks him curiously before taking a sip of her coffee.

“Help Logan; Ali with decorating the main hall and Michaelis, Mai; Winnabelle cook and bake” King Chuck replies as he takes another sip of his coffee.

“Sure, we will split up then,” Dad says as he thinks of a plan.

“Right, Lea, Alyssa, Vanessa, and I will help bake and the others will help decorate” Mom exclaims.

“Sounds good, let’s get started then” King Chuck replies as he finishes his food.

Everyone nods in agreement before finishing their breakfast and going to get ready to help around for the party.

“Wonder if Clive is gonna help in the kitchen” Lea wondered as she headed over to the kitchen and saw Clive and Michaelis.

“We are here to help, Chef,” Mom says with a gentle smile.

“Thank you, we need help setting up the table” Mai exclaims before gesturing at a girl with long purple hair with brown and gold eyes coming in with the tables on a cloud wagon. Lea looks at her light teal angel fish half in curiosity.

“Need help, Miss?” Lea asks her as she approaches her.

“Winnabelle Angeline Tana at your service and no thank you, I got it” Winnabelle replies cheerfully.

“Ah alright, Nice to meet you, Winnabelle” Lea exclaims.

“I heard your folks are helping my parents from the King” Winnabelle replies as she moves the tables to set them up.

“Your parents?” Lea says confused as she puts the tablecloths on the tables set up.

“Yes, Logan Tana, the royal butler is my dad and my mom is Ali Ann Angeline,” Winnabelle replies before getting the chairs.

“Huh... we’ve met your dad but not your mom, what does she do? And what does she look like?” Lea asks curiously.

“She looks like me with white hair and 2 gold eyes” Winnabelle replies as she puts away the cloud wagons.

“Does she work in the castle, too?” Lea asked her.

“Yea, she’s a well-known navigator” Winnabelle replies as she takes her to get a glimpse of her parents.

In the main hall with Logan was a woman with long white hair and gold eyes.

“Whoa... she’s so pretty,” Lea says as she blushes.

“Yea she’s my dad’s firefly” Winnabelle replies happily.

“What does that make you?” Lea asks her curiously.

“I’m their water lily,” Winnabelle replies with a wide smile.

“Aw~ How sweet-” Lea starts to say before Winnabelle drags her to say hi to her parents.

“Hi Mama and Papa, we finished setting up the tables and came to say hello,” Winnabelle says with a thick Cajun accent and a bright smile.

“ Wonderful and hello to the both of you” Logan replies with a smile.

“Hi, I’m Lea Guerrero,” Lea said as she was stunned by her beauty.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Ali Ann Angeline, Win’s mama” Ali replies as she talks with a thick Cajun accent.

“Y-Yes, nice to meet you,” Lea says trying not to stare for too long.

“Are you going to help us with decorating, Lea?” Ali asked her.

“Yes, I am, I’m not much of a baker or chef, if I am being completely honest, Miss. Angeline” Lea replied honestly.

“Oh, that’s quite fine, Miss. Lea, Let’s get started now, shall we?” Ali says before bringing her over to the decorations boxes in the corner.

“We are using the decorations of the colors of his birthstone, the diamond,” Ali explains.

“Huh that sounds boring” Lea replies politely.

“Oh? What do you suggest we use? “ Ali asked curiously.

“His favorite color or colors he looks best in?” Lea suggested.

“Oh, so diamond, purple, black, and gold,” Winnabelle says happily.

“Let’s not forget navy blue, and crimson red” Logan replies as he gets those particular colors out.

“Of course, darling” Ali says as she hands out the decorations to Lea and Winnabelle.

“Is it a surprise party? I haven’t seen Prince Kevin anywhere today” Lea asks as she starts to clean off the throne chairs as she had started with the seat covers.

“He knows about the party but not when the party is happening” Winnabelle replies happily.

“Huh...alright then,” Lea says as things got done quickly around the castle.

“Now let’s go get ready for the party,” Winnabelle says with excitement.

“Sure thing, Winnabelle,” Lea replied as she followed her to the dressing room.

“The Queen still kept all of y’all measurements, so she had your outfits premade for ya” Winnabelle exclaims as she gives Lea a purple dress.

“Oh...I should thank her then” Lea replied as she was surprised.

“Of course, it’s the least she can do after bringing Princess Charlotte back safely home” Winnabelle replies as she changes into a navy blue dress.

“I noticed that your parents have matching nail polish, what’s up with that?” Lea asks curiously.

“Oh, your nails match the hair and eye color of the one you are in love with” Winnabelle replies as she fixes her hair.

Lea glances at her nails as they were white and olive green then smirks, “Oh~ So that’s how you knew his favorite colors”.

“I-I erm...am I that obvious?” Winnabelle replies shyly.

“It’s cool, I can help you, “ Lea says with a sneaky smile.

“O-Oh well his nails aren’t purple, brown, and gold...it’s all dark chocolate brown” Winnabelle exclaims with a pout as she puts her earrings on.

Lea paused for a moment, “He likes my mom? That won’t work, she’s married to my dad” Lea says baffled.

Winnabelle looks at her like ‘girl are you for real right now?’

“Or...it’s you” Winnabelle replies as she puts on the matching necklace.

“Nah that’s impossible, everyone thinks I am ugly, it’s why I don’t ever get noticed, only Vanessa does,” Lea says bluntly.

Winnabelle just stared at Lea quietly as she left the room she went to look in the main hall at who was attending the party as Mom, Dad, and the others came in. She saw Kitty and Daisy come in as Lady Genevieve came in with a tall man with white hair, beside him were Lady Gwendolyn and Lord Ben. Lea goes over to them because she was curious.

“Oh Hey, Lea, this is-” Daisy starts to say before she gets hugged.

“Yes, Lord Alexander, Ben’s brother, but you can call me Lord Rex,” Lord Alexander says happily.

“O-Oh right, I’m Lea Guerrero, I didn’t know Lady Genevieve was your girlfriend” Lea replies awkwardly.

“E-Eh?” Lord Alexander says as his face turns red.

“We aren’t dating” Lady Genevieve replies as she lightly blushes.

Lea glances at their nails to see that Lord Rex’s nails were purple and green and Lady Genevieve’s nails were white and red.

“Right, sorry for assuming,” Lea says as she wondered what the Guardians of the Season’s relationship were.

Lady Gwendolyn noticed Lea’s curious expression before taking her to the bathroom to talk privately.

“Something on your mind, Lady Gwendolyn?” Lea asks curiously.

“Yes...um so before Gene and I were taken we um...kinda made a sister pack to confess our feelings to Ben and Rex so....” Lady Gwendolyn was visibly nervous.

Lea made her way to the main dining hall as she went to her parents who were with a group of people.

“Lea, meet my family, they are here to thank all of you,” Lady Bianca says with a smile.

“Hello and thank you for bringing back my wife, I’m He-Huang, her husband, and these are our daughters,” He-Huang says as their daughters smile.

“Hi, I’m Akemi and this is my little sister, Akina,” Akemi says with a smile.

“Nice to meet you all” Lea replies politely.

“Thank you for reuniting us with our mom,” Akina says happily.

“A lot of people here are here to thank you” Lady Bianca replies.

“But we only found 8 out of the 19,” Lea says, baffled.

“Still a thank you is due either way” Lady Bianca replies as she pats Lea’s back hard as she was super energetic.

“Y-Yea...ok...ow,” Lea says before she is brought into another hug.

“Thank you for helping our family,” a man with red hair says happily.

“I’m Granato, Bianca’s oldest brother, this is my wife, Saphir, and my daughter, Peri, my twin bro, Ametista, his wife, Rubis, their daughter, Lapis, her husband, Casper, their son, Jasper, and-” Granato replies as he introduced the family before getting cut off by a woman with pink hair.

“Ok dear, I think she gets it, we can introduce ourselves,” the pink-haired woman says.

“Right, sorry, Ma” Granato replies with an earnest smile.

“And you are?” Lea said as her head was spinning.

“I’m Nuna Rossa Quarzo, Mimi, Glendora, and Max’s grandmother,” Nuna Rosa replies.

“Oh, you have a lovely name,” Lea says before moving into Momo by accident.

“Are you ok, Lea?” Momo asks as he looks at her with concern as the Quarzos went to their table afterward.

“Just socializing with a crowd” Lea replies as Momo brings her to a chair.

“Yeah, I noticed, good job, I’ll get you a drink, take it easy in the meantime,” Momo said before he went to the refreshments.

Cloud notices Lea’s social battery taking a big hit as he goes to keep her company as he sits beside her in a chair.

“Are you ok, Lea?”Cloud asks her as he looks at her with concern.

“Too many introductions and thank yous at once” Lea replies as Momo made his way back to her with a cup of water with ice.

“Here, drink this and take deep breaths too, I will be back with our food,” Momo says as he gently hands her drink over.

“Thank you, Momo” Lea replies as she takes at least 2 big sips from her glass of water.

Princess Charlotte comes over to Lea with Prince Robert and Princess Mary. Lea stared directly at Princess Charlotte as she was in a Kim Possible-inspired outfit but she was pretty sure she wouldn’t know who that is.

“Are you doing alright?” Princess Charlotte asks as she bent over to give her eye contact.

“Uh erm...um, I’m um” Lea replies as she was starting to have a bisexual panic.

Prince Robert notices and bursts into laughter as Princess Mary also notices and covers her sister’s cleavage with her hands.

“Sorry didn’t mean for my sister to give you bisexual panic,” Princess Mary said with an awkward grin before Princess Charlotte caught on and stood up straight.

Lea nods as she takes 2 more big sips from her cup of water as Momo comes back with 2 plates.

“Here I got us mashed potatoes with gravy, asparagus, and some delicious medium rare steak,” Momo says as he puts their plates down.

“I took 4 big sips of my water since you were away and thank you again” Lea replies as she gets her napkin undone first then puts it on her lap and gets out her utensils to start eating.

“I was curious, when is Prince Kevin expected to come and be surprised?” Cloud asks curiously.

“He should be coming soon before dessert of course” Princess Charlotte replies as she glances around and looks for Prince Matthew.

“Looking for your boyfriend?” Lea asks with a smug look.

“He is not my boyfriend, he is bringing his family with him as well as Kevin since they have been keeping him distracted” Princess Charlotte replies with a light glare as she removes Princess Mary’s hands off her chest.

“Oh? What are their names?” Lea asks curiously as she gives her a how you doin’ facial expression.

“Queen Basilia Etna Triarius, King Jupiter Alastair Triarius, Prince Felix Magnus Triarius, and Princess Aurelia Mila Triarius, any other questions?” Princess Charlotte says with a have any more to say now smug expression.

“Ah no...sorry” Lea replies with an awkward smile.

“Yea she made sure to look real good for Matthew,” Prince Bobby says with a smug smirk.

“Robert Erling Aamodt, do not be inappropriate, please” Princess Charlotte replies with a stern look as her British accent changes to a thick Norse accent.

“Oooo~,” Princess Mary says with a smile before laughing at her brother.

“Don’t add to it, Mary Lovenorn Aamodt” Princess Charlotte replies as she gets more annoyed.

Lea gently puts her hand on Princess Charlotte’s shoulder in sympathy as a fellow oldest sibling.

“Siblings, am I right? So annoying” Lea says as she comforts her.

“Unfortunately, but we love them anyways,” Princess Charlotte replies as they give a handshake in an agreement between two big sisters.

Cloud snorts a bit as he tries not to laugh at Prince Robert and Princess Mary’s pouts after being lectured.

“Anyways, let’s eat and wait for the signal that Matthew will give my dad” Princess Charlotte exclaims before she took her younger siblings to the buffet of food.

“Why is Momo being nice to me? Is it because we are friends or does he have a crush on me? I’ve never been able to tell the difference between friend and lover in IRL” Lea thought to herself before she glanced at his nails to see they were all brown.

“Um, Momo, can I ask about your nails?” Lea asks nervously.

“Sorry did you?” Momo asked before Lea showed him her nails that didn’t look painted or have any hint of a crush.

Lea looks down before getting out of her phone and starts typing fast before she shows him what happened to her last year.

“Sorry, I didn’t wanna say it out loud at a party of all things” Lea exclaims as she gives him her phone.

Momo grew quiet but angry as he read the long explanation before putting her phone down on the table to hug her.

“You want me to kill him?” Momo asks her as he tries to control his anger.

“You would go to jail for me?” Lea asks as she turns to look at him.

“I would since I did work with the Bad Apples, I still have connections but I am still turning my life around and going straight or rather back to a good guy, but if you have proof, he can go to jail instead of me” Momo replies with a smirk.

“Ah-honestly slay queen” Momo replies with a proud smile.

Lea nods before looking around to see Princess Charlotte signaling everyone to go invisible as Prince Matthew. A woman with white hair, a man with pink hair, a young adult man with pink hair, and a teenage girl with pink hair came with Prince Kevin as everyone had hidden fast by casting the invisible spell.

“So are you ready to get to see the new books we donate to your family’s library?” Queen Basilia asks him.

“Yes, of course, Auntie,” Prince Kevin replies with a smile of excitement.

“Of course, anything for family,” King Jupiter says happily.

Once Prince Kevin turned on the lights, everyone revealed themselves as they all shouted Happy Birthday.

“W-Whoa! Um...thank you everyone” Prince Kevin says with a surprised expression and smile.

“Told ya, it’d be worth the wait” Prince Felix and Princess Aurelia reply in unison.

“No kidding, thank you,” Prince Kevin says with a flattering expression.

“But for real though, we weren’t lying about the new books” Prince Matthew replies with a smile.

“What a bonus again, thank you,” Prince Kevin says before he makes his way around to greet everyone.

Once Prince Kevin finished, he then went to get some food as he looked at the clams, oysters, and vegetables. Lea then went to get Winnabelle and had her sit beside her, she then signals Prince Kevin to sit next to Winnabelle. Prince Kevin comes over with his food as he sits next to Winnabelle. Winnabelle stared at Lea like girl thank you and at Lea like girl thank you before she started to eat her mashed potatoes. Lea nods before eating her steak as her eyes sparkle with hearts in her eyes with how good the steak is. Prince Kevin looks at the two girls confused but curious if they were up to something, Prince Kevin sits up in his seat and looks at them in their eyes.

“What are you two up to?” Prince Kevin asks in a stern voice.

“Whatever do you mean, Birthday Boy?” Lea replies with a cute sneaky smile.

“What’s with the exchange of looks you two exchanged when I sat down,” Prince Kevin said as he was already convinced he was right.

“Girls, can't check each other out?” Lea replies with an innocent look.

“Yea, do you have objections, or do you wanna be included?” Winnabelle says with a wink.

“I um...I erm...maybe? Sorry” Prince Kevin replies as he got flustered.

“Aw~How cute~,” Lea says in a teasing tone.

Winnabelle gently hugs Prince Kevin, “You’ll always be included,” she says happily.

“Ah thank you, Winnie,” Prince Kevin replies with a soft charming smile as he gently hugs her back as he keeping his hand on her waist.

“Of course,” Winnabelle says before noticing Lea giving her a smug look making Winnabelle blush and let go of Prince Kevin.

“Something wrong, Winnabelle?” Prince Kevin asks her as Lea was still giving her a smug smile.

“U-Uh...well...um,” Winnabelle says as she tries to calm down.

Prince Kevin blushes as her chest and the upper half of her dress was all wet, he quickly takes off his jacket and covers her.

“Let’s get you dried off” Prince Kevin exclaims as 8 of his nails started to change their hues slightly.

Lea noticed this as they got up to leave and she quickly took a photo of his nails with her phone, but then Granato and another group came with him.

“Hey, let’s introduce you to the rest of the family, okay?” Granato says with a smile.

“Yeah, sure” Lea replies as she goes back to eating.

“This is my Pa, Smeraldo,” Granato said as his parents floated beside him.

“We are also Mimi, Glendora, Max’s grandparents on their father’s side, Nuno Orgogliso and this is my wife, Nuna Meigui,” Orgogliso says proudly.

“Hello there, we are also here to thank you, we are Nick and Daisy’s parents, Orion and Eridanus” Orion implies as he held Eridanus’s hand.

“Hey, Lea, do you know where the bathroom is? Rose and I need to use it,” Yon asks as she is holding Rose’s hand as their fingers are intertwined.

“Sure, let’s go” Lea replied as she got up and put her napkin aside before leading them to the bathroom.

Once they got to the bathroom, Lea waited for them, “Huh I didn’t know they were dating...” she thought to herself.

“What are you doing out here alone, princess?” Sergean asks if he came out of the bathroom first.

“Oh, Rose and Yon needed help finding the bathroom” Lea replies as she was still waiting for them to come out even though she was still hungry, she knew they would need help back to the dining hall.

“Oh...that makes sense,” Sergean says before going back to his table that had Elizabeth and their parents.

Rose and Yon eventually came out holding hands.

“Thank you for showing us to the bathroom,” Rose says happily.

“Of course, have you two eaten yet?” Lea asks curiously.

“Erm...not yet” Yon replies as her stomach growls.

Lea nods as she leads them to the buffet area as Lady Molly & Holly stood in front of them in line as they held hands in line.

“Oh whoa...more lesbians...honestly? Slay Queens” Lea thought to herself before going back to her seat.

Lea was getting annoyed as she didn’t want to get interrupted again before her food got cold. Sergean could tell she was one more interruption and went over to her and snapped his fingers near her plate as flames formed as he warmed up her food.

“Thank you…” Lea says before pausing, “Wait, how are you using fire underwater?” she asks curiously.

“Because this fire is made of magic, I can’t make real fire underwater” Sergean replied as the flames went out as her food was warmed up to perfection.

“Ah ok...yea that makes sense and thanks again,” Lea says before digging into her steak.

Elizabeth came over to Lea with lemon bars and sugar cookies. Lea’s eyes sparkled as she stared at the lemon bars as she chewed on her steak.

“Don’t worry there is a lot more for you to enjoy” Elizabeth says as she assures Lea before pointing at the mountain of lemon bars that were in the center of the dessert table.

“Cool beans, can’t wait to get in my mouth” Lea replies excitedly as she moved to her mashed potatoes, she saw Lady Gwendolyn, Lady Genevieve, Lord Ben, and Lord Rex on the dance floor with Doctor Emmet dancing with Sofia and Emily helping Prince Bobby with putting his tie on.

“He so planned this, aw, so many confessions and crushing going on the dance floor” Lea mutters to herself.

“Agreed and thank you for earlier, Kevin is in the bathroom as red as a tomato, I am tots sleeping in his jacket tonight,” Winnabelle says happily.

“Of course, his clothes look good on you especially when I saw his nails flash gold, brown, and purple when he helped you to get dried off” Lea replies as she shows her the photo of proof as she drank her water in her other hand.

“Send it to me, please,” Winnabelle says as she gives her clam phone to Lea after taking it out of her pocket.

“Sure, is this similar to my touch phone?” Lea asks her before opening the clam phone as it looked like a clam version of a flip phone.

“Yes, it is,” Winnabelle says as she puts her number into Lea’s contact list.

“Cool beans” Lea replies as she puts her number into her clam phone. Winnabelle gives her phone back to Lea as Lea gives her clam phone back to Winnabelle. Lea then texts her the photo of Prince Kevin’s nails. Lea then goes back to eating her food as it was getting cold. Queen Charlotte made her way to Lea as she put the last cup of apple cider beside Lea’s plate as King Chuck held their drinks.

“Thank you, Queen Charlotte,” Lea says politely after she swallowed the chewed steak in her mouth.

“Of course, enjoy yourself” Queen Charlotte replies as King Chuck and she goes back to where they were sitting next to King Jupiter & Queen Aurelia.

Lea continued to eat her steak, she could see BJ and Sugar leaning against the wall, while Mimi and Nick cuddled while holding their drinks. She turns to take a sip of her apple cider to see Mama, Ashley, and Aunt Nancy chatting with Micahelalis and an eye-contact-wearing Mai. After she finished eating, she headed over to lemon bars, not noticing that Clive was next to her at the cheesecake part of the dessert table he was trying to adjust his tie.

“Lea, do you know how to adjust a tie? Mine is too tight for me, my brother helped me with my tie earlier” Clive asked her with a nervous smile.

“Uh...I guess I can try,” Lea replies as she puts her plate down and goes over to him.

“He’s up to something for sure, better keep my eyes peeled,” Lea thought to herself as she fixed his collar as her pointer finger moved in a circular motion as she adjusted his tie after his collar was fixed.

“Is that better?” Lea asks him as she removes her hands from him.

“Yes, thank you” Clive replied as he picked up his slice of cheesecake. Lea watches him a little bit before getting a few pieces of lemon bars. Once she got back to her seat, Vanessa was still sitting in her seat at the table, as she was on the right side of the table and seemed distracted by her phone.

“Are you ok, dude? Have you got something to eat yet?” Lea asks concerned.

“Yes, I ate a little bit, why?” Vanessa replies with a question.

“You seemed distracted, what’s going on?” Lea asked before taking a bite of her first lemon bar as she levitated to her mouth.

“Just have another Snowball and Rocky and me at home” Vanessa replied as Rocky and Snowball joined them.

“Did you clone your phone too?” Lea asks curiously as she notices the table she was sitting at was getting to be full with Prince Kevin coming back to his seat.

“When you clone yourself, your belongings get cloned too, remember?” Vanessa replied as she glanced at Lea before getting up to finally go eat.

“Ah...yea, I remember” Lea lied as she had completely forgotten about that.

Lea then goes back to eating her lemon bars, as she watches her surroundings once again. At the table behind King Chuck and Queen Charlotte were Nami, Oliver, Andy Silvester, Doctor Brie, Adam, and Eric's table. Then at the table to Lea’s left is Granato, Saphir, and the rest of the Lay family, whose names were on paper at the table as it listed Hua Trifgolio Lay-Iris, Arcoiris Opalo Iris, Lluvia Soltar Iris, Pulpo Tinta Yuri, Peri Ali Quarzo. At the table in front of them listed on the paper were Fiore Rossa Lay-Yuri, Jupiter Rosada Yuri, Alyssa A. Guerrero, Noemi C. O. Guerrero, and Michael J. Guerrero. Once Lea finished eating her lemon bars, her stomach started to bother her as something felt off like something in the hall was screaming at her saying, “HEY! LOOK AT ME! FIND ME!”

“Well, well isn’t this deja vu? Except for this time I showed up with a date” Penelope says as she turns to look at Clive who had started to blush as soon as he saw her.

“What are-” King Chuck starts to say before she cuts him off.

“You think I would send a simple small beautiful baby creation as payback for the jailbreak for not 1 but 3 of my guests? Oh, mon ami that just won't do, especially since Cerberus was set on fire, now let’s make this little shindig rotten” Penelope says as she got off the throne chair, and as the black ribbon fell out of her hair as her red apple hair fell to her butt before lifting her arms upward and then snapping her fingers as black holes formed in her hands then she swiftly threw them in the direction of Queen Charlotte and Mai who were at the birthday cake as they were cutting it into slices.

Life of Lea Volume 1 Chapter 1: Weirdness Day 1

It was a bit after New Year’s in the new year of 2015, and the activities around the house were dull so far. So as usual, Lea lay in her bed as she watched a rerun episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. She rolls over to lie on her back as her hair moves off her face when she sees her pet, golden retriever, Cloud, come into the room.

“Are you bored too, Cloud?” she asked her dog as if he would ever respond.

He sighs and curls up onto the floor as he laid on the carpet.

“Yea, me too, Cloud,” She said as she stretched on her small childhood bed.

“Happy New Year’s, Lea,” a male voice said from the bedroom entrance as he came into her room.

Lea looked in the door’s direction as she was still laying on her bed upside down.

“Yea, Happy New Year’s to you too, Dad” she replied with an awkward grin.

“Go and tell that to your mom and sister” he exclaims with a stern look.

She sighs as she sits up, “ok.”

Lea took her time as she left her room and went to find her mom in the living room.

“Happy New Year’s Mom,” Lea said as she approached her mom.

Her mom turned to look at her with a smile, “Happy New Year’s to you too.”

Lea nods then went upstairs to her sister’s room as she wanted to get this all over and done. She then knocks on the door to hear a groaning sound from inside the room. Lea’s sister then gets off her bed and opens the door as she glares at Lea.

“What?” she said tiredly as she looked at her.

“Dad told me to tell you um… Happy New Year’s” Lea said awkwardly.

Alyssa nods and then goes back into her room while shutting the door in Lea’s face. She sighs and goes back to her room downstairs. As she walked back, her head was filled with countless thoughts. Lea then sits on her bed and looks at the stars. She closed her eyes as she made a wish on a star.

“I wish I could have a sibling that I could be close with,” Lea said in her mind as she was pretty sure that it wasn't going to become true. Then after that, she lay on her side and fell asleep as she snuggled into her pink bunny.

As the clock struck nine a.m., Lea then woke up to the sound of groaning on the floor.

“Cloud?” she mumbles as she gains consciousness not knowing what was making the groaning sounds.

“……Yea?” a young male voice replies from the floor’s direction.

“Hm… that’s weird… I thought I heard an unfamiliar voice” she mumbles in confusion as she sat up on her bed.

As she opens her eyes, she then sees a fourteen-year-old blonde naked boy sitting on the floor. Lea stiffens and accidentally slips off the edge of her bed like oh my gods that's a human penis. Cloud flinches and goes to her not noticing that he is human now.

“Lea, are you ok?” he asked as he leaned over her.

“Well, it's not every day that your dog turns into a human or I wake up to see a penis first thing in the morning” she replied as she sat up.

Cloud nods in agreement, ignoring the fact that he is naked in front of her. Lea averted her eyes from the sight as she was trying to register what was happening right now.

“So, um let’s get you dressed before leaving my room,” Lea said awkwardly.

“Huh? Why?” He was a bit confused as clothes on a dog didn't make sense to his dog's IQ.

“Oh, uh well you’re a human now so you don’t have fur to cover up your lower half” she explained as she gestures at his bare ass.

“Oh well that explains your reaction,” he replies as he places it over his lap before noticing his human hands as his eyes light up in excitement.

She nods as she gets up and gives him some old clothes from the donation pile that was in her closet. Cloud blinked for a moment then put on the shirt, pants, and undies.

“Uh your shirt is backward” Lea pointed out when Cloud was clothed.

“Oh,” he replies as he takes off his shirt and then puts the shirt on the right way.

“Now we need to find out how we are going to explain this to my parents” she sighs as she anxiously fixes her bedhead.

Cloud nods in agreement and then looks at Lea after he thought about how they could explain to them.

“You could just tell them the truth you know,” he suggested.

“Oh yes like I’d listen to a five-year-old,” she replies sarcastically.

“Uhuh in dog years I’m thirty-five so you have to listen to me” he corrected her.

She rolls her eyes and nods like Uhuh yea sure you're right without actually listening.

“Well let’s get this over with now,” Lea said as she went to her bedroom door.

Cloud gets up and slowly follows Lea to the living room to see her Aunt Nancy and a fourteen-year-old albino with brown eyes.

“Um… hi,” Lea said as she was still registering what was going on today.

“Lea… this is B.J. or your Aunt Nancy’s toy poodle” Mom explained as she noticed Cloud beside her.

“Oh, um ok, and this Cloud, our golden retriever,” she said as she pointed to Cloud awkwardly.

Her mom blinks her eyes a bit as this was another thing for her as well to register.

“Well, this is weird…” Alyssa says as she holds onto her glass of milk.

“Agreed, the dogs have become humans but the question is how?” Aunt Nancy exclaimed as she was sitting beside mom on the couch.

“Well last night before I went to bed, I made a wish to get closer to Alyssa but I guess the star twisted it” Lea explained as her head was like this a lot first thing in the morning.

“So, it’s your fault that this happened,” Alyssa said with a sigh as she was leaning against the wall.

Lea averted her eyes in shame but then Cloud walks over to Alyssa and looks directly into her eyes and says, “Play nice no need to point the finger.”

Alyssa rolled her eyes and took a sip of her glass of milk. Lea looks down as she remains quiet as this feels so awkward and not normal.

“Well now that the drama is established, how about we get down to business and check for anything else that has changed,” B.J. said with utter annoyance in his voice.

“B.J. is right, let’s go out through the garage,” Dad implies as he gets up from his big brown rocking chair.

Lea nods in agreement as she follows the others to the garage down at the end of the hallway.

As they approached the garage, Lea did her best to stay whelmed with all the sudden changes. As for Alyssa, she was feeling the opposite even though her face didn’t show it. Dad presses the button to open up the garage door. As it opened up, Lea and her family then walked out of the garage and onto the driveway cautiously.

At first, everything seemed normal as far as they could all see.

“Hm… looks normal,” Mom said as she stayed with Dad.

“Yea but let me check in with Vanessa to see if anything changed from the side of town,” Lea said as she got her phone out of her pocket.

“Yea… sounds good,” Dad replies as he keeps looking for something unusual.

Lea then calls Vanessa and she immediately picks up.

“What’s up dude?” her voice sounded a bit on edge.

“Just wanted to see how you were doing,” Lea said as she was going to start the topic slowly.

“Oh well let’s see, I ate my breakfast and then my two birds became human,” Vanessa said bluntly.

“Oh? Rocky and Snowball” Lea asked hesitantly.

“No, it was my other two birds that I’ve kept in secret. Of course, I’m talking about Rocky and Snowball!” she said as she raised her voice.

“Ok, I see your point so please try not to freak out” Lea advised.

“Kind of hard to do when Leo is asking them a bunch of questions,” Vanessa explained.

“Fair enough, do you want me to come over?” Lea asked.

“No, meet me at the park ok?” Vanessa suggested.

“Alright I’ll tell my dad” she replied.

“Ok see ya dude,” Vanessa says before hanging up.

After putting her phone back into her pocket, Lea let out a sigh.

“What did she say?” Cloud asked as he looked at her.

“Well her two birds are now human and her brother is asking them a lot of questions so we need to go see them at the Rowits Park” Lea explained.

“Alright while you do that B.J. and I will go check on Mama, Ashley, and Sugar” Aunt Nancy explained.

“Alright please call us if things have changed when you get to Cornea,” Lea’s mom said.

“Right,” Aunt Nancy said as she took B.J. to her car.

“Well time to go meet Vanessa, Leo, Snowball, and Rocky at the park” Lea exclaimed.

"Wait, do I need to have my leash on my neck for this?" Cloud asked curiously.

"Ha-...No your human now it's fine just buckle up in the car" Dad replied as he got the van started.

Dad looks over to Alyssa in curiosity about why she has been quiet since they got outside. Alyssa was busy thinking to herself as she tried to think of the situation in a logical way which was hard since the things that have happened are illogical.

“Are you ok, Alyssa?” Cloud asked her as he pouted at her, obvious to him how she feels by her smell.

Alyssa looks at the person who was once her birthday gift five years ago.

“I’m fine, Cloud,” she said calmly when in her head she was not calm at all.

“Everyone, let's stay calm and get on the road,” Mom said as she helped Cloud into the van and buckled him in for him.

Alyssa could not believe her ears what her mom just said.

“How can we stay calm now that magic is real? There must be a logical and scientific reason for this. I mean even if it is Lea’s fault for wishing for an unrealistic normal relationship, there must be a reason” Alyssa said as she had finally exploded from her calm state.

“Alyssa just please take a deep breath, we will figure this out, ok? No need to overthink things yet” Mom said as she tried to help Alyssa to relax.

“Oh, yea like that would be easy for me to do in this situation” Alyssa complained as she got into the back seat of the van.

“Just try, ok?” Mom said as she sighs.

“Mhm…” Alyssa said unpleased as she rubbed her forehead.

Once everyone got into their white van, they then make their way to Rowits Park. Lea and her family were all quiet for the ride as they weren’t sure what things will be like now that magic was real. After driving for fifteen minutes, they finally arrived at the park. As soon as Dad parked the van, Lea walks over to Vanessa, who was waiting by the swing set.

“Hey,” Lea said as she approached her at the swing set.

“Hi dude” Vanessa replies as she turns to look at her.

Lea looked towards the bench that was located on the grass area and noticed two unfamiliar figures. There was a male with black hair and orange eyes as well as he looked to be 36 years old. Sitting next to him was a small girl with white hair and gray eyes, who looked to be 3 years old.

Lea blinked for a moment then looked at Vanessa, “Is that… Snowball and Rocky?”

Vanessa nods and then scratches behind her head.

“Hm… so do you have any clue on how this started?” Vanessa questioned.

“Eh? Oh uh … well last night I wished upon a star for me to have a better relationship with Alyssa but somehow my wish gave me a new sibling, then thus waking up to a naked human or Cloud I should say” Lea explained.

“Oh, a wish with a twist, but why has it spread?” Vanessa asked.

“I don’t know, if I knew then I would’ve told you” Lea explained.

“Fair enough, so what should we do?” Vanessa asked skeptically.

“Hm… probably ask your birds if they know anything about this phenomenon, right?” Lea asked as she tries to think of something.

“Yea we could do that” Vanessa agreed.

They both then walk over to Rocky and Snowball as they did their best to stay calm. Snowball and Rocky look at them once they heard them coming toward them.

“Yes?” Rocky says as he looks at Lea up and down as this was their first-time meeting.

“We’d like to ask you some questions” Lea exclaims.

“Alright, what are your questions?’ Rocky asks.

“Yes um… well, do you know how or what caused the pets to become human?” Vanessa asks.

“Nope!” Snowball said with excitement.

“Not sure,” Rocky said as he had Snowball sit on his lap.

“Hm…odd” Vanessa mutters softly.

“Maybe I can be of assistance,” a female voice said in the distance.

Lea and Vanessa turn in the direction of where the voice came from.

There was a small fairy floating in the air.

“Who are you?” Lea asked a bit confused as she looks at this being.

“I am Mimi and I am a fairy," Mimi explains.

“Hm… then do you know how the pets became human?” Lea asked but in her head was like oh my gods a real fairy.

“What do you mean? Animals have always been able to turn into humans.” Mimi said confused.

“No, they have never been able to do that…” Vanessa replies puzzled.

“Of course,… did magic not exist in this world recently?” Mimi asks.

“No, it didn’t exist until this morning,” Vanessa says as she leans against the bench.

“Huh? The last time I visited there was magic everywhere” Mimi said a bit surprised.

“When was that?” Lea asked.

“About 19 years ago, I was a child back then” Mimi replied as she became puzzled too.

Lea flinches at her statement as this whole situation was overwhelming.

“Your joking right? There’s not a single piece of evidence of that” Vanessa says a bit shocked as she nearly fell over.

“Hm…now that is odd” Mimi replies as she was confused still.

“How so?” Lea asked.

“Well, there must be some evidence left somewhere if Miss. Mimi said there was magic here” Rocky says as he fixed Snowball’s hair.

“I guess so but it must be impossible to find,” Vanessa exclaims.

“Perhaps we can find it back in my world where magic is more common” Mimi suggested.

“Hm… let’s talk to our family first before heading off” Lea suggested.

“Fair enough,” Mimi says.

Lea and Vanessa walk over to Lea’s parents, Alyssa, and Cloud as Mimi followed them from behind. Mom turns her head in their direction. She looked at Mimi in complete confusion.

“Who’s this?” She asked Lea as she had another mind blow.

“This is-…” Lea gets interrupted as Mimi flies straight to her mom and she looks closely at her face.

“Noemi?” Mimi says as she looks at her like a fan to a role model.

“…Yes?” Mom answered in confusion.

Mimi’s eyes sparkled in absolute joy, “It’s been years since anyone has seen you! So, this is where you’ve been all this time!”

“What are you talking about? I just met you” Lea’s mom became more confused.

Mimi’s smile disappeared just like that after hearing what she just said.

“Huh… so you don’t remember after all,” Mimi says with a pout.

“Whatever you are talking about, I guess I remember it,” she said politely.

Mimi looked at her skeptically before speaking again.

“Well we can talk about this situation more in my dimension, we need to find my wizard friend, Sergean Herrera, so he can open up a big enough portal for all of us” Mimi explains.

“Hm… alright, well lead us to him then,” Vanessa says a bit unsure of what this mysterious wizard man is.

Mimi then leads the way to the light post behind the tennis court. Leaning against the light post was a six-foot blonde in a brown cloak. He turned his head a bit to look at the group of people.

“I see you found them… good let’s get back to our dimension to solve this situation,” he said in a low husky voice.

“Of course, Sergean” Mimi replied.

Lea looks at him in curiosity as she looks him up and down. Sergean noticed her staring at him.

“Something wrong, princess?” he asked her with a smug look.

She shakes her head in disagreement as her head was starting to spin from how overwhelmed she was at this moment. Sergean shrugged and leads the nearest neighborhood before he put his hands in a prayer-like position. He takes a deep breath before opening his hands as a big blue portal appeared in front of them.

“Alright, ladies go in first” Sergean exclaims as he stood beside the portal.

Mimi goes into the portal first, then Lea’s family, Vanessa, Rocky, Snowball, and Cloud. Lea looked at the portal nervously.

“There’s nothing to be scared about, princess” Sergean sighed as Lea hadn’t budged from her spot.

“I know this day has just been overwhelming for me” Lea replied as she slowly made her way to the portal.

“Understandable but I can’t keep this portal open forever, so please hurry up,” he said getting impatient.

“Yea…ok” Lea sighs as she walks into the portal and then Sergean follows her afterward, closing the portal once everyone walked to the other side of the portal, Lea could see a forest covered in snow.

“Welcome to our dimension, everyone, the fairy dimension,” Mimi said with a bright smile on her face as her brown bangs moved over her eyes as she was now 5'4 Ft tall.
