What do you think about the gikwang taemin plagiarism situation? At the beginning i thought fans werr exaggerating but their work is too similar to be a coincidence

sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i'm not surprised and i'm also surprised. i'm not surprised bc there's always a taemin copycat somewhere and we didn't really have any advice ones, but i AM surprised that 1) it's someone taemin KNOWS personally and 2) it's another senior artist that very much should know better. i'm not usually bothered by people apeing taemin's aesthetics much bc it happens often and most of the time it's generally vague enough or taken with a different enough spin that it's trying to take a similar sort of vision into account. most taemin sons deeply revere him and even though yea the copying gets a bit tiring to watch, i never feel the sense that they end up being disrespectful to the subject material. this though? i don't think gikwang and his team could have misunderstood advice MORE. none of the imagery is applied in any way that makes sense with the themes and it attempts to divorce some of advice's most iconic looks from their context of taemin's idol persona and his struggles and his hardwon confidence and for what? gikwang to be screamingly insecure in a song about being trapped by love or some shit? it's just SO deeply disrespectful. it's maddening. i truly hope ppl rip him a new one for this because it's embarrassing for him AND his creative team; it's made them all look absolutely idiotic on every level.

He tore open the human’s limp body, in search of something he could consume. He knew he didn’t have the time to put care into a fire, he didn’t have the time to make a meal, something he’d grown used to at the castle. Something he had suffered in hopes of for years, only to get just a taste before falling back into the fray.

Supplies were scarce: food was first come, first serve.

When you’re with me, I’ll take care of you.

His wounded leg hadn’t been cared for in weeks.

He needed to seek medical attention, get a healer, or find something that boosted HP. But he couldn’t he was stuck in a reiteration of his own AU, only, he had landed before measures became drastic.

When you’re with me, you won’t starve.

His stomach hurt.

He knew he was running on pure adraenaline. Survival instincts, the need for water, shelter, and above all, food.

Ever since his separation from Nightmare, he had gone hungry.

It wasn’t their fault: they hadn’t known the mission would take weeks, hadn’t known the supplies packed wouldn’t be enough, hadn’t known that Dust would go missing, that Horror would have to fend for himself.

He missed his team. He longed for that company shared over a warm meal and good conversation.

He had to get back to them.
