so I started a new wip lol 🙈 I really need to work on all the other ones but I'll get to everything haha so i'm not sure if any of this makes sense for buck tbh but idgaf, this is just me projecting my own thoughts and feelings™️ and making it about him processing his death lol 💁 it is gonna be pre-slash buddie tho bc obviously I have to 😂

ngl i kinda don't wanna share any of it but also i wanna share all of it bc i'm kinda loving how it's turning out haha so fuck it, here are two short snippets haha

Ever since he died, Buck has been feeling… off. Numb. Sad. Exhausted. He’s not even sure how to explain it, how to voice it, so he doesn’t. When people ask how he is, he says he’s fine. And he is, he swears he is. He’s okay, he’s alive, he has his amazing friends and family, a job he loves, everything is fine. But… but. He’s not sure what the hell is wrong, but a part of him is not fine. Hasn’t been fine since the lightning strike.

He doesn’t want to go home. He just wants to keep driving, wherever the road takes him. Driving is good, he likes driving, letting his thoughts wander, listening to music, having control of something. He thinks that’s it, that’s why. Driving is one of the few times he feels fully in control, his feet controlling the speed, hands holding the steering wheel and dictating the direction. Whether he makes it to work or gives into the thoughts that tell him to not turn the wheel and let his car crash into a tree or a building, or another car – it’s all up to him. He doesn’t- he won’t crash his car on purpose, but sometimes he wonders… maybe at least that’ll make him feel something. Make him hurt, make him scared, anything. Make him die, this time permanently- he doesn’t want that. He doesn’t, he swears he doesn’t. He just wonders sometimes, that’s all.

He doesn’t wanna go home, so he decides to keep driving. Just a few more minutes, to clear his head.

No pressure to publish/respond to this but I just had this thought and needed to voice it. The contrast between Reed's public image and private life is so funny to me. He acts like this badass in public & there are rumors going around about all the questionable things he's done, but when he's alone with MC he acts like a total baby. That he feels safe enough with MC to do so warms my heart. I love him 💖

Asadsad yeah that's the idea! Generally, his public image was built on the aftermath of the conflict with his ex-friends who tried to dupe him and the misconception that he's actually a 5 tier Mind Reader (because otherwise how he'd know so much, right?😱 Meanwhile ppl just like to dismiss that drunk patrons + a charming person who's willing to listen is an explosive combo). Reed was actually pretty distraught with his notoriety if you can believe it, and ppl's mistrust in addition to the betrayal etc. It was mostly Alan who taught him to embrace and use it to his advantage.

Privately tho, yeah Reed's just a baby. When I was drafting him I had this image of a pretty boy who's 'the new big thing' but he's actually just an accountant who gets queasy at the thought of getting a tattoo or smth 😂

HI NYX THANK YOU FOR THE ASK 💖💖💖 So this clip is from the season 4 episode "Forced Kin", which I'm now realizing I definitely need to rewatch cuz I did NOT appreciate it enough the first time 😅💖💖💖 Also uhh cant believe I have to add this but slight content warning for a white guy voicing a stereotype character ya gotta understand it was a different time they didn't know this was rly bad yet don't cancel me 💀

Real quick before I get into anything, I want to mention the change in animation, as this was one of the very first (if not THE first) episodes done in digital, as opposed to the cel animation the rest of the series had been in for the first 3 seasons. While it is cool to see it nice and crisp here, I do feel like they were still kinda figuring out how all this digital stuff works, since to me it feels more stilted and stiff than the animation has looked previously, along with the art style being just a bit off. Maybe that can be chalked up to the storyboarder of this episode as well, but the way Mojo, as well as the Girls later on in the episode are drawn is just the slightest bit off to me. That could always just be me tho 😅

Ok with that out of the way, of course the most obvious thing permeating this whole clip: the dramatics 😂💖💖 He is SOOOOO EXTRA AND FOR WHAT TBH, No one does it like him you will always be famous to me my love 💀💖💖💖

They’re at the temple and Reader is sitting somewhere outside enjoying the atmosphere of the evening sun on Coruscant and they’re playing some tunes on their guitar.

Obi Wan “catches” them and listens to them play and sing, leaning against a wall or something and he hears them sing “to tell you that your golden hair and pale blue eyelids make me feel like I might go wild” and Obi Wan realises they’re thinking about him and he can’t help himself but has to smile and he feels even more reassured in his crush on them. Maybe a few days later he hums the lyrics around the reader and tells them how beautiful their singing and playing sounded and reader is shocked he heard them and blushes so hard and there’s so much tension they finally kiss? And confess their crush? 👀

A Splendid Spy

Pairing: Obi wan x reader

He ventured out to the ruins, in search of you, knowing that is where you often spent your spare time. The birds chirped in the distance, trees filtering sunlight as they swayed to the wind. The world around him free and calm that for today he did not have to spend it around droids and metal. Broken columns lined a tarnished marble floor, overgrown with vines and moss. The flowers were in full bloom and as he felt the mid summer breeze he heard a voice sing out softly. He had only read of forest fairies in his lore before about their magic of entrancing the listeners to their music but to witness one, this was a miracle. He thread softly, masking the sound of his footsteps through the force such that this being will not be driven away. He edged closer to the pillar, to get a better view when he heard the words,

“Hey pretty baby with the sun in your eye, you make me feel like I’m up in the sky.

I wanna tell you, wanna make you mine.”

As the branch moved in the wind, he caught a glimpse and he froze. It wasn’t a fairy, it was you. He fell back behind the pillar, you cannot come to know that he was here. He composed himself as he continued to hear you sing,

“to tell you that your golden hair and pale blue eyelids make me feel like I might go wild.”

His cheeks began to grown warm, his finger began to shake. Adrenaline fused into his blood stream as he connected the dots. There weren’t many blue eyed golden haired Jedi except him. He gasped in awe softly when he realized that you were singing about him. The beauty around him faded, his head began to swirl with this new possibility because for years he had been holding himself back, from telling you the truth about the endless minutes you occupy his mind. He continued to stay for a while as you sang a different song, he put to rest the worries in his life.

You were tasked with overseeing the younglings with a Jedi general you could never happen to take your eyes away from. He dealt with the children as you watched from far, a thousand songs will fail to capture the light of his presence. So you relished this moment, tucked away to pine. You get back to cleaning the tiny lightsabers when he joined you at the workshop table. Nothing was said, it was better that way, less complicated. He picked up a rag cloth to clean the area around the crystal but you stopped when you heard him hum a familiar tune. The hilt almost slipped from your hand when you regained the grip to hold it tighter and continued to listen to him hum your song. You try to let it go when you hear him say, “I heard you singing in the woods.”, you refrain from looking at him that if you focused on the task at hand, this will pass. This cannot be true, can it?

“Did you?”, you ask, your throat ran dry. “Your mesmerizing voice led be to believe that forest fairies could exist.”, he complimented you and nothing around you made sense. You fumbled with the pieces in your hand, giddy with the way he was looking at you. He placed the saber he held onto the table and carefully made his way to you. “I have something to tell you.”, you both speak at the same time. He laughs and you smile. “You first.”, you put away the rag cloth and fold your hands. “Just that you’ve built a home in my mind and I can’t seem to drive you out.”, he smiled, the blue of his eyes shimmering like the sea.

The blush on his face grew darker when you didn’t respond. “Now you.”, he leaned on the table. “I don’t go around singing songs about everyone.”, you tell him and his eyes beam with the satisfaction of having been proved right. “It feels nice knowing I was correct in my deduction.”, he leans closer. “A splendid spy.”, you smile thinking of him sneaking around the woods. His eyes soften and the room grows hotter but neither of you move away. His gaze fell to your cheek, “You’ve got grease there.”, he pinpointed but before you could wipe it away, he cusped your cheek, his thumb running over the mark. “Is it gone?”, you ask but you lean into the warmth of his hand. “Yes.”, he whispered his gaze on your lips. You wanted to whisper his name but you were rendered silent as he kissed you instead. His soft lips finding yours in the quite corner of the workshop. His arm wrapped around you and you stepped closer to pull him back, to kiss him deeper. His soft hum of delight sent shivers done your spine as he placed up on the table while you caught the ends of his hair.

You broke away, warm breath skimming over your lips, his cheeks flushed with colour, as much as you tried to convince yourself this wasn’t real, you couldn't. He whispered your name in the silence, you placed your lips on his, if forest fairies were real, then this was too.

A part of me was happy that episode 9 really included a flashback with the captain's team 💖💖💖

Also seriously, to see the Captain being animated, as well as the rest of the team and hear them talk too... it's incredible! Like we don't even know if there any plan to adapt Daikatana into a proper anime... yet we're kinda getting it now 💖

Yet, is it just me... or we didn't really get to hear the Captain's voice despite the fact that he's supposed to also join in with actvating the spell with Female Bishop/Sword Maiden and his cousin? Aaa.... anime, please no cheating me with the captain! 😛

So we're really moving on to the escort mission, which would later revolve around the adventure at the capital and meeting the princess and the king. i guess season 2 gonna end with the battle with the Demon Hand at the old dungeon. That's nice tho. Cos this part of the LN series was one of my favourites.

It's also nice that we still get the bits with the Gillmen, since the part about GobSlay insisting that they're not goblins were funny.

i can't wait to see Priestess meeting the Princess and later the King, and I wonder if anime gonna slip some hints that I've been suspecting for awhile about Priestess. Hope the anime would still include the meeting with the former Female Fighter.

That said, it's too bad about how anime skipped the first Harvest Festival arc and jumped to the Goblin's Crown. Because most of the goblins and other bosses are all connected. From the ogre, the goblins attacking the farm, frontier town, water town, dark elf, hecatoncheir goblin king, the goblin shaman, demon hand and so on, it didn't feel right that some of those fights were left out.

But I guess I'll live with that. after all... we can always reread the adventures.

DUDE IT’S SO GREAT!!!! i watched one episode and i was immediately hooked! i was like that one gordon ramsey meme where he goes “finally some good fuckin food” because the writing, the acting, the directing, the characters, everything’s so well done 🤩! the characters, man… i gotta talk about the characters! they’re so interesting. they really don’t shy away from making deplorable sinister villains that aren’t one dimensional. the corinthian, lucifer, heck even johnny made me want to keep watching (but then again i’m always a sucker for good villains). as for my favorite characters in general, death of the endless was so cool! i love the contrast between being the personification of death, a concept that is so terrifying to humans, and the way she’s so bright and kind and warm and a good sister. matthew the raven is a gem i needed more of that funky little guy. but my favorite has to be dream! he’s so ethereal, like his soothing voice and the way he talks sets him apart from everyone else. and yet even tho he’s kind of a god, he’s also stubborn and grumpy and bad at seeing the error of his ways which is funny to watch (he’s still got a soft side tho ☺️). love all the queerness, too. ppl were not kidding when they said it was made for the gays <3 i may or may not be scrolling through the dreamling tag on ao3 (don’t even get me started on dream and hob. they’re SOOOOOOOO… so good for each other 🥺💖. i see them sit down and softly smile at each other after centuries and it’s like an arrow went through my heart)

so yeah i’m really glad i gave this show a chance! i’m so picky when it comes to starting new shows and i’m always dropping things after a few eps (i blame the bad attention span) but this one sunk it’s claws into me and i’m very excited for season 2 😂

GUYS OMG I JUST SAW MY FIRST MUSICAL. my Highschool did a Percy Jackson musical and OH MY GOSH I was BLOWN away. now you get to hear about it (please keep in mind I have only read the first book, which is what the musical was anyways but it was YEARS ago and I don’t think I even completely finished it SOOO. also spoilers ig?)

Percy did so well and his solos and singing was so beautiful and he really portrayed his emotions so clearly and he was SO FUNNY FKTJRKWNDNFNNE LIKE OMG IF IT WASNT A THEATRE ID BE ROLLING

Grover did a fabulous job as well! He was also incredibly funny and I just love the little sidekick bestie vibes he’s got he’s so silly :)

ANNABETH omg. she did so well! she really got her emotions out there and her need to impress her mom and WOW THE FIGHT SCENE AT MEDUSA’S HOUSE WITH PERCY OR WHATEVER it was so intense! she slayed SO HARD and she was also a FANTASTIC DANCER YEA GIRLBOSSSS

luke! omg luke! HE DID AMAZINGGG I LOVED HIM HE ROCKED THAT ROLE SO WELL. I forgot he was the lightning thief so the betrayal scene was SHOCKING (HAHAHA IM SO FUNNY)!!! I really loved how he did him he completely fooled me with the friendly camp counselor or whatever he was I forgot JDJJSJRFKSJ BUT HE BLEW ME AWAY I LOVED THE FIGHT SCENE WITH HIM AND PERCY

so they had a scene and whatever with the farrier in the underworld AAAAHAHA THE FARRIER WAS SO AWESOME. SHE SLAYED THAT SO DANG HARD AND HER MUSICAL NUMBER WAS MY FAVORITE. THE REST OF THE ENSEMBLE SLAYED THE CHOREOGRAPHY IN THAT SCENE AND I WAS JAMMING ALONGGGG‼️‼️ it was such a funny scene and I hold it dear!!

HADES ISTG HADES. he had SUCH A DRAMATIC SCENE AND I CHEERED SO LOUD (dw everyone else did too) and he ROCKED IT SO WELL he perfected that snarky antagonist that doesn’t really care but still has motive and bonus of being a pain in the butt! and he drawled SO WELL I KID YOU NOT HE HAD ME CAPTIVATED. I LOVED his part!!!

dude… Poseidon… LMFAOOO IM DEADD. they had him portrayed as some dude in a Hawaiian shirt THE ACTOR DUDE I WAS ROLLING HE WAS SO FREAKING HILARIOUS. he kinda had that low chill surfer dude voice and he had THE FUNNIEST BITS especially at the end when he reunited with Percy and his mom. I love that take on his character. I’m PRETTY sure he’s not like that in the book 😂😂

And Percy’s mom was awesome too! her singing was GORGEOUS and I loved her moments with Percy :) not much to say other than SHE DID AMAZING‼️

BRO I CANT GET OVER THE TRIO THO. their bits were HILARIOUS and they definitely held those “stupid besties that r probably doomed but we’re rocking this anyway” vibe that ANY good book/movie main group holds AHDHEJRIE THEY WERE HILARIOUS. Dude Percy and annabeth did amazing together and Grover was so SPUNKY YES and the ENSEMBLE THEMSELVES AAAAAA I CANTTTTT ESPECIALLY IN THE UNDERWORLD SCENE THEY ALL HAD SPUNKY OUTFITS AND THE DANCING WAS AWESOME!!!! THE CAMP HALF BLOOD SCENES WERE ALSO SO COOL AND IM RUNNING OUT OF COMPLIMENTS BUT LMFAO THEY HAD A BIT WHERE THEY SANG ABOUT THEIR GOD PARENT AND ALL OF THEM JUST SLIGHTLY INSULTING THEM TO FULL ON INSULTS WAS BEAUTIFUL.

overall, this was a great experience for me! I could really tell all the love and passion the students/actors had for this and I appreciate that they wanted to share with me and the audience members! It was a magical thing and I wish them all a FABULOUS JOB because they DESERVE IT‼️‼️‼️💖💖💖💖💖 they really made my whole week and I might even consider joining theatre too :D

And yes Topper and Father are the real stars in this one!! :D They are so cute and I love that now we can 'hear' Topper's speaking voice, and get to know what he's thinking. I love that he likes his name and he does resemble Eiden a bit!! No wonder Quincy is secretly swooning over the guy. Or not so secretly.

I liked Quincy already, but this event made me like him even more ;w; He looks good and is so fed up and yet so gentle... I wonder what the second half of the event be like.

Also, there's a frog and I love frogs, so all my love for this event.

But still grats for the three Rei's, it means that bastard likes you a lot XD I hope I get his SSR soon once they put it in the main banner. Also, SR Yakumo is honestly the best healer for me so far so you could consider bringing him up if not already.

"I think this sweltering heat is about to break!" Joonas said with slight relief in his voice. Air had been hot and heavy since yesterday when they had arrived at their next stop on their tour and the only reason Joel could have catched a little sleep was because they had decided to sleep in a hotel instead of the tour bus. Another good thing for getting a hotel room, besides not having to sweat their asses off till they ceased from existence, was of course that he had been able to sleep in the same bed with Aleksi. First time in forever.

Despite these good things coming out of the too hot weather, it was great to hear Joonas, the weather interpreter, tell them how he could see storm clouds gathering in the horizon.

"This weather has been reeking of a thunderstorm all day, I really hope you are right!" Niko sighed tiredly.

 

Tommi nodded from his place under the tree, where he laid down on the ground  without a shirt. "It would clean this air, so I am with you."

 

Joel wasn't surprised to hear two of his bandmates waiting for a thunderstorm to break. He had witnessed them both standing outside and looking at lightning and how the storm progressed more than one time over the time they had known each other. Joel wasn't as eager, but he would be lying if he claimed that the rain and thunderclaps didn't feed his hunger of excitement. But he did prefer to enjoy his excitement indoors where it wasn't cold and wet.

The distant thunderclap made Niko's eyes shine and Tommi rose up from his place to join Niko to try to see first lightnings if there would be those. Joonas and Olli turned their heads as well towards the clouds that towered even higher.

But Joel's attention wasn't in the clouds. He locked his eyes on Aleksi, who seemed to focus even more intently on his laptop. Fingers ran through keys vehemently and Niko’s excited squeal from the first lightning made Aleksi’s writing become even faster.

“What are you doing?”

Joel frowned when Aleksi’ didn’t answer him, only focused feverishly on his laptop screen.

 

“Aleksi?”

When there was still no answer, Joel rolled his eyes and moved closer. “Aleksi? Oh fuck this..” Joel reached out and pulled the hair tie from Aleksi’s hair and made the black locks fall from his eyes. That made Aleksi lift his head finally.

“Why did you do that?” Aleksi combed his fingers through his hair to get it out of his face and reached the hair tie from Joel. Joel had already tangled it through his own fingers tho and was not keen to let go of his toy.

 

“To get your attention. What are you doing?”

Aleksi lowered the screen of his laptop when Joel tried to take a look of whatever was demanding Aleksi’s all brain cells. “Just… trying to finish this thing… before the storm comes.”

The supposedly relaxed smile on Aleksi’s lips was not fooling Joel in the slightest. He had used fake facial expressions enough in his life to know when others were trying to cover something they didn’t want others to notice. The smile dropped from Aleksi’s face when thunderclap carried over the nearby lake again, this time a bit louder.

 

“Are you okay?” Joel lifted his fingers to smooth the worried wrinkles that had formed between Aleksi’s eyebrows.

“I… yeah sure!” The fake smile was back and Joel raised his eyebrow to Aleksi. “Stop lying and tell me what’s up.”

 

Another lightning flashed behind Aleksi’s back and cheering from other guys made Aleksi tense up again.

 

“Hey it has started to rain on the other side of the lake!” Tommi observed, which made Aleksi hastily gather his things together. “We should get inside..” He mumbled. Joel grabbed his hand and Aleksi looked up at him. The worry wasn’t the only thing in his eyes anymore and Joel finally understood why Aleksi was acting weird.

The panic in his eyes told everything.

 

“We can go inside, I tell others we are going and I’ll follow you, okay?” Joel squeezed Aleksi’s hand and got a small nod from the other.

The storm had progressed to its fullest in under half an hour. Aleksi was currently sitting in Joel’s lap, his face buried in the crook of Joel’s neck and hands covering his ears. Joel tried to calm Aleksi by running his hand up and down on Aleksi’s sweaty back and scratching his scalp and murmuring sweet nothings against his forehead. He was almost sure Aleksi wouldn’t hear him through the rushing of rain and constant thunder clapping, but he couldn’t help himself. Seeing Aleksi like that was breaking his heart and he wanted to try to help Aleksi through the worst.

When the lights in the room flickered off and the whole room filled with a new kind of silence that even the pouring rain couldn’t cover, Aleksi started to whimper. “Oh god, oh god, oh god..”

Particularly loud and long rumble shaked the whole building and once it was over, Joel forced Aleksi to lift his head enough to look at his eyes. Tears streamed down his cheeks and Joel brushed his thumbs under Aleksi’s eyes to dry them. “It is okay, the electricity will come back and the storm will end, you are safe here with me.”

“When will it end?” Aleksi’s voice was rough and quiet. Joel shaked his head and hugged Aleksi back as close as he could. “I don’t know, but it has been moving very fast so I guess it is already moving away. Just a bit more left.”

Lightning lit up the room for a moment and Aleksi squeezed his eyes shut. Joel counted quietly under his breath to calculate the distance and when the rumble came, he had counted only five seconds. It was a second longer than last time, so the storm was indeed moving away.

“I want it to be over already.” Aleksi breathed out. Joel nodded and pressed a kiss on top of his head. “It is moving away. You are being so brave, can you keep that up a little longer for me?”

Aleksi nodded slightly against Joel’s chest.

Electricity came back when the thunder had moved over and was now over three kilometer away. Thunderclaps and lightning were still there but they were further apart.

“Can you sit there a little while alone, I could make us some tea?” Joel massaged gently Aleksi’s back. “Yeah..” Aleksi shifted down on Joel’s lap to sit on the couch instead. Joel pressed a swift kiss on the corner of his mouth. “I won’t be long.”

Kettle boiled the water fast and soon enough Joel had two steaming mugs of raspberry tea in his hands. He lowered them both to a coffee table and then took a comforter from the unused bed. He settled comfortably back on the couch and took Aleksi back to his lap before wrapping them both to a blanket and reaching the mugs from the table. Aleksi snuggled against his chest and took a sip from the tea.

“Thank you…” He whispered and reached to press a gentle kiss to Joel’s jaw.

“You're welcome.” Joel smiled at him, but Aleksi shook his head.

“I don’t mean the tea, although it is good. But… Thank you for being there the whole time.” Aleksi pressed his gaze to the tea. The distant rumbling made him tense a little, but it melted quickly away.

 

“Of course I am here. You are my boyfriend.” Joel moved his teacup back to the table to wrap both his arms around Aleksi. “I wouldn’t have wanted to be nowhere else than here with you.”

“I really wasn’t that fun companion.” Aleksi let out a little laugh and looked back at Joel.

“You needed me here. And I wanted to be here for you, it has nothing to do with your entertainment skills. I love you Aleksi, I want to help you through the hard parts and share the good parts.”

The fear in Aleksi’s eyes was replaced with love and affection when whispered “I love you too”, and pressed their lips together.

6. What's the hardest part of the writing process for you?

For me, I think it has to be not getting wrapped up in my own head. Not reading a draft over and over again, over analyzing everything so much until I hate it. Another very hard thing for me is deciding what to focus on, I have like 50 new ideas at any given time and I find myself wanting to do everything all at once, writing everything all at once and that's how I end up with 92 unfinished drafts.

7. How does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?

As I said, it's easy for me to get stuck inside my own head and not having anyone saying anything about a story or interacting with it makes that malicious little voice go "see? I told you so, this story is shit and you are shit. Just quit it already, you're embarrassing yourself" I think all writers are a little like that, we're like sunflowers that instead of turning towards the sun, feed off of validation.

8. Does anyone in your life know you write fic?

My sister found my blog years ago. And she's the sibling I have the worst relationship with, she's always pointing out at my worst flaws, but when she started nagging me into finishing this particular story cuz she NEEDED to know what would happen next... let's just say after that, I was never self conscious about writing fic again. I tell everyone, I don't give them my URL tho 😂

10. How has writing positively impacted your mental health or overall mood?

Well, I started out writing fluff, because reading fluff literally saved my life, it helped me get out a seriously dreadful depression. Writing fluff was healing in a lot of ways but then I started working out some other, deeper, more hidden things through writing. Things I was feeling so ashamed and guilty about I couldn't approach in reality, but I could slowly start working out through fiction. It's not always easy, but just like therapy, sometimes you just feel shitty before feeling better.
