OKAY SO We are all so used to those big spectacles in movies and shows where there is a love confession. Like the couple will be standing in the middle of a party or something and all eyes will be on them as person A confesses to person B. This is exactly what I expected to happen with heartstopper ep 8, when Nick went over to charlie after leaving his rugby game in the middle. I fully and completely expected a huge romantic confession and a kiss right there with all eyes on them. BUT then We get something so much more amazing than that, and something that I don't remember seeing ever. Nick took Charlie's hand and took him inside the school in the hall where ONLY they both were present before telling charlie how he feels. It was so personal and so endearing and respectful of charlie's boundaries. Like the way, he says "and if you want to break up, I will respect your decision, but I want us to be together". This show/comic went above and beyond to show that a confession like this one is for the people IN the relationship, and not for everyone to see and we need more tiny details like this in all shows and media in general.
